There’s a sort of story mode! You go through multiple stages of life, from a cell to a spacefaring empire. This was made in the building editor for the civilization stage, though with a handful of mods.

Making this took me about half an hour. The mod includes each letter of the alphabet as a part, but you need to size and place them individually, so that’s where the bulk of the time went.

Anyway get Spore if it’s on sale on Steam because it’s a ton of fun.

I like the dude’s art style with his concept art, but some of the stuff skeeves me the hell out like that one drawing of Mara, Dibella, and Kynareth where they’re all pregnant or that RP he did where Vivec stabs Azura in the throat with his penis-sword.

Even if I didn’t mind the idea of taking outside sources as part of canon, a lot of the stuff I’ve read and seen of his just makes me uncomfortable.

The Star Compass may be a basic answer, but it's gorgeous, intriguing, and very symbolic of Riko's journey.

The Star Compass is named after a Magic: The Gathering card, whose description reads "It doesn't point north. It points home." Riko is trying to go home to her mother, after all.
