Nonono you don’t get it you don’t get it. The wildcard player winning wild life, and it’s the first win that doesn’t feel tinged in grief and sadness. He still hears his friend’s voices, he laughs, he triumphs, he finally wins. It’s celebratory, it’s wonderful, it’s a blaze of glory, it’s wild. And he doesn’t fit neatly into what the Watchers want and picture - he could be a comet, a black hole, a chariot, and he crashes through it all and screams that he doesn’t need anything but himself. Setting a new precedent, changing the series, changing the winners forever. Changing what it means to be a winner. It’s his, after all. He’ll make it wild. And hey! The fandom is ours. Draw him as a comet, as a black hole, as a car, as something else entirely. Write him as triumphant, as grieving, as manic. Do whatever you want!!! Have fun!!! Make it wild!!

i genuinely think the people who insist the life series is scripted just don’t understand the difference between something scripted and something that’s been given a basic premise and directives that everyone involved in agrees to play along with for the bit. like, no, specific moments aren’t scripted, but there’s a reason the series isn’t just “best pvper wins” and it’s because they deliberately prioritise entertainment over pure skill because the same person winning every time just wouldn’t be fun.

like, for the most part they’re a bunch of drama kids who have been given the perfect playground to act out the shakespearian tragedy of their dreams (some more so than others) (hello rendog) and they’re given the tools and situation to do so but everything else is just improv. and they’re also just having fun like i think we should all remember they’re doing this to have fun with their friends and play on a server where anything goes and they can grief all they want and sometimes they’ll just make stupid mistakes like walking off the side of a diving board and dying because they were so miffed about losing to a best tower competition they forgot where the stairs were, or blowing themselves up with their own tnt trap because they placed one block in the wrong place.

also i think people forget just how generally predictable people are in general, like after five seasons you can definitely start to guess how people will behave because they’re just like that. joel is reckless and he likes to poke the bear, martyn is good at staying alive but not good at keeping hearts (the difference between winning limlife and going out early in secret life), scott is good at the social game and a formidable opponent but also terribly self sacrificial, bdubs will betray anyone he’s allied with if offered something good, etc etc etc

Like End crows, have feathers adapted for silent flight.

Will often attack living creatures to get them to make noise, thus summoning the Warden (free meal!)

okay more on the love island: all stars au

they were all on various seasons and know each other from the scene. we have james and sirius who were on a season together and became best friends and regulus who was on a different season and when the black brothers show up on all stars together its a huge deal because everyone loveeeees the black brothers james has had a crush on reg since watching his season and from the scene and dorcas is there from the beginning and pairs up with pandora (who was on barty and reg’s season) but then we have bombshell marlene (who was on dorcas' season and they dated and have been exes now for like 4 months) and lily comes in as a bombshell who was on james and sirius' season, barty has also been here since the beginning and regulus was with barty for a while on his season and remus comes in later as a bombshell and fucks things up because remus and sirius were fully together and came in third on their season but then fell apart after leaving the villa for reasons. and then we have evan, who was on his own season but everyone is obsessed with him bc hes so hot and barty just trips over himself to couple up with him and theres so much drama and fun and I can't stop thinking about it

Just some of my own TMA headcanons (I’m probably just gonna keep adding to the list on occasion or maybe make another list, who knows) - Edit I made another list which is a little more chaotic I won’t lie

Also I’m interested if people have any of their own that they’d want to add because I love reading other people’s x

There will probably be spoilers in this list but I’ll try to keep it broad :) x

Tim always wears short sleeves regardless of the weather

On the opposite Sasha always got a cardigan, she might not be wearing it but it’s stashed somewhere

Jon probably bit someone as a child

Martin had a folder on his work computer with pictures of cows in it

Sasha used to keep a picture of the four of them in her desk - Not Sasha got rid of it

Distortion Helen uses her hands a lot when she speaks

Elias irons his ties and then organises them by colour (They’re all the same colour but he claims the shades are different)

Martin and Jon used to play card games but Jon stopped once he realised he always knew what Martins cards were

Tim would wear those socks with the days of the week on them but would make a point of wearing the wrong socks on the wrong days just to annoy Jon

Martin likes to collect pin badges

Sasha’s definitely thrown a pen at Tim - She threatens to throw one at Martin but never would

Tim paints his nails on occasion and convinced Martin to do it a couple times, who in turn convinced Jon to do it

Specifically series 1 Jon had Martin for secret Santa and he have him a mug with a cow on it - Jon denied it every time he was asked

Martins the better baker but Jons the better cook -

Jon will tell everyone in the kitchen to get out if he’s cooking

Martin had a nightlight while sleeping at the institute and never told anyone but Jon found it once and replaced the batteries just in case they were close to running out

Distortion Helen seems like the kind of avatar to have a load of bracelets but those ones that make noise when someone moves their arm

Edit: I just wanted to say that I’m genuinely overwhelmed by the response to this because this is first time I’ve made a post like this of my own and people have been very lovely about it all and yeah this just my little soppy thank you for it xx
