I honestly don’t think rhato did anything “irreversible” to Roy’s character. Like it’s not good roy but honestly rhato kept Roy in the bubble of n52 and Roy was one of the only character that it was good for imo because they were really doing some bullshit to him. Kiev the last time dick and Roy interacted before 52 was dick as Batman beating up Roy who was on a bender and leaving him strapped to a table to ‘detox’. Like rhato Roy isn’t a continuation of the Roy from Batman and arsenal or his solo or outsiders or whatever but honestly it was like he was preserved in rhato and kept in play and then as he has now just fully emerged from it with maybe mentions of how he used to run with Jason or date kori cropping up. But nobody writing GA is I think sourcing their characterization from rhato

I like the perspective that he was preserved in rhato, it’s almost like he’s a separate character lmao. I more so meant how he’s portrayed within fandom spaces (especially since I’m big in the batfam fandom) I’m very glad the comics have gone back to the og roy lmao
