Ohhh boy im struggling to think of something? Somehow?? It HAS been a while since i've done some research. I've mostly looked into little things like how long it might take someone to get from Chicago to Boise in the 1920s by train (faster than these days, the internet told me, despite the machines being slower, bc the US railway has gone to shit) or the summer and winter temperatures of St Petersburg, Russia. I don't think nebulous knowledge counts, like i've taken knowledge of volcanoes and their effect on climate into a ficlet without actively researching specifically for that WIP? Tho i did do a wee bit of reading about the Tambora eruption, but that was mostly out of personal interest and mild obsession. (Volcanoes are sexy okay.) I do still intend to read the norse myths for ~reasons~ but that research hasn't been done yet, so 🤷

ive been stuck with a 92 on freeze frame for so damn long but now i got my score up and now all my high scores for starland are different and adjacent! with a 93 on launch party, 94 on freeze frame, 95 on pajama party, and 96 on ninja bodyguard (dont ask, idk how either)

the only sad thing is that they’re not in ascending or descending order

It didn't sink in at the time, I mean these things never really do, but being told by my sister that my art has "plateau'ed" and that I need to seek out life drawing classes because I don't want to quote, stagnate, has about the same delayed poison as my father telling me when I was 17 that all I draw are cute lil' cartoons but ya can't pay your bills with cute lil' cartoons.

Both obviously trying to sound constructive and yet, tone deaf and crushing, gosh sure do hope this doesnt slither into my brain and I don't draw anything else for another 8 years but.
