Stupid and inconvenient allergies the ninja have:

Lloyd: Hayfever, hates summer and locks himself in the monastery but it doesn’t even do much because his eyes still get all swollen like a cherry. Jay makes fun of his sneezes.

Kai: he can’t eat eggs. He always throws up after. He can’t even smell eggs cause now he just automatically feels like throwing up.

Zane: he’s allergic to copper. I just find it funny if he was.

Nya: SHES CANONICALLY ALLERGIC TO PERFUME I REFUSE TO FORGET THAT.

Cole: he’s allergic to dogs. After he turned into a dog in dragons rising for a short time, Zane had to shove medicine down his throat.

Jay: Jay is one of the rare individuals who aren’t allergic to anything, he makes fun of everyone else’s. (Lies, Jay has a basic nut allergy and eh refuses to tell anyone and has went through years without anyone finding out, until Nya made him a cake with nuts in it.)

This is probably going to sound weird but I'm really glad i get to see your updates on Bug. Seeing her antics scratches the impulse in the back of my head that goes "wow I wish I had a pet bird like a pigeon or a chicken" despite knowing I'm not physically healthy enough to keep birds again.

It doesn't sound weird at all! Bug and I are happy to fill a niche together :) I know not everyone can keep peafowl - in fact, most people can't - but it's still nice to see animals and learn about animals we can't have. I also love to see animals I can't have, like dogs.

people in pet food commercials : i read the ingredients of this kibble and was Shocked to find Bad Things so i went with Name Brand and my pet is So Much Happier :D

my family : we are fully aware that this is shite kibble and the pet equivalent of college kid food but cait sidhe only eats one specific flavour of one specific brand and the one time that it was out of stock and we tried something similar but Not Quite It she went on a hunger strike for three days and then after that only ate enough to barely sustain herself until we got Her Kibble back

i think one of the biggest challenges with advising new dog people on how to find responsible breeders is teaching them norms. I've spoken to so many people who've started a sentence with "i don't know much about dog breeding so maybe this is normal, but-" and then say the absolute wildest shit I've ever heard in my life. no, it's not normal for a dog breeder to want to talk to your mom because you're 25 and female. no, it's not normal for breeder's dogs to not have been vaccinated because of 'herd immunity'. no, it's not normal for breeders to have 7 litters at a time, expecting 5 more next month.

and what all of these people tend to have in common is that they're just looking for a companion, and they probably did feel bad about the situation. but they didn't have the context to realize just how abnormal it was, so they doubted their own reaction, and really really wanted a dog.

I may be allergic to this dog of mine but that doesn’t mean I don’t continue to play with him, I didn’t spend 12 years with this dog just for me to leave him because I had some allergy testing done…

a giant carefully picking up their tiny friend for the very first time, after months of building trust and developing their friendship. the giant being utterly enraptured by the tiny in their palm, and the tiny feeling wonderfully overwhelmed by finally being held in such a large hand. neither of them speak, but the look they exchange says everything they can’t put into words.

this intimate moment being swiftly ruined by the tiny discovering they’re extremely allergic to the giant’s hand lotion.
