hiya, lovebugs!
todays post will be about how to stay comfy during your period! periods can be painful and scary, especially when you’re small. so here are some tips i find helpful!

fruits + veggies
-> fresh fruits/veg are great on your period! they help you hydrate, and are full of good nutrients. leafy greens like spinach, kale, broccoli, etc. and fruits like berries, bananas, oranges, etc.
avoid
-> try to refrain from caffeine, oil, red meat, spicy foods, and excess sugar. a little is okay, but these types of things specifically can make your cramps worse. and mood, due to hormone imbalances! so be mindful.
but also keep in mind that food is fuel. dont stress too much about what youre eating, especially during your period. keep the aforementioned tips in mind but it’s okay to stray from them.
stretching
-> exercise and yoga are so good! my favorites are child’s pose, cat-cow, and the reclining twist. i also like laying flat on my back with both knees to my chest, breathing deeply.
stretching can help alleviate pain and assist in blood flow to keep your body relaxed.
body position
-> the best way to lay is on your back, side, or fetal position. these take pressure away from your abdomen and prevents leakage. it also can alleviate muscle pain in your back + shoulders.
with a heating pad, laying down in the fetal position is absolute paradise for me during a painful period.
distraction
-> colouring, playing with stuffies/toys, watching your comfort media, etc. are always nice. when youre feeling icky or in pain, these are a life saver! find joy where you can.
hydration
-> water, water, water! if nothing else, please stay hydrated. it helps prevent headaches, cramps, dizziness, fatigue, and more!
eating fruits/veggies as mentioned before is a great way to keep hydrated. adding flavoring to water is good, too, if you don’t like the taste of it alone.
self-care!
-> most importantly, keep in mind what you need. this is a time to be mindful of what you want + need.
you are important. your health is important. your happiness is important!
do what is best for your mind and body. you know yourself better than anyone else.

I dunno why, but baby oil I used when I was big age little helps me regress so much, It smells so nice and it makes me feel so nice and soft! I wonder if there are other brands that are so nice too.

Connect with your inner child this spring. Run through the grass in your bare feet. Draw with sidewalk chalk, use every color of the rainbow. Have a picnic with all your favorite fruits. I’ve got a message for everyone! It’s important!
Are you ready? Cus it’s a big one!
You DONT have to push yourself past your limits. You know your limits, and you have them for a reason! It’s okay to not do extra for other people if it’s too much!
If it would hurt your mind or your body or your feelings, then you gotta say, “Im sorry but it’s too much!” Then you can take a break and do it later, or not do it at all!
If you have an ouchie for a little while, look after it! Don’t do things that it’ll make it ouchie again! If you have an ouchie for a long time, you know what you can manage! Use whatever tools you need to feel your best, and do what you can manage, but never push yourself because someone else says you gotta. It’s your body, you know it!
If you get real sad or your brain gets all frizzy, over something little or something big, you know yourself! You gotta take a BIIIIIIIG breath and say “I need some space. This I say limit, and I’m not going past it.”
Because respecting your limits is respecting yourself! And everyone needs to respect themselves, because princesses and princes, pirates and knights, adults, kiddos and animals all need to remember that one way to show yourself just how much you love you and just how much you’re worth is to respect yourself.

Period Relief for Littles:

Something I don't see talked about is period relief for age regressors, so I decided to write what helps me. Hopefully, this will help you too!

Raspberry Leaf Tea:

I have really bad cramps and I've found this helps a lot. It's a nice warm drink, which I find soothing. It doesn't taste like raspberries, unfortunately, but I do like the taste.

Mint Tea:

This helps my nausea and once again, it's a warm drink I find soothing. It helps my nausea and makes it so I don't have to take as many meds.

Fluids:

Keeping your fluids up is very important because it helps reduce many of the symptoms and clots. Avoid anything that is a diuretic (it'll make you pee more) and try to drink some things with electrolytes in it. I personally like liquid IV for the electrolytes, but Gatorade and other such drinks works too!

McDonald's Chocolate Shake & Fries:

Okay, so this one isn't necessarily helpful. I just get cravings for salt and magnesium, so this helps knock those cravings out. Plus, it's a nice treat that I don't get very often.

Heating Pad:

When my tummy hurts really bad, I pull out my heating pad and cuddle up with it. Sometimes I'll put a stuffy against the heating pad to help hold it in place. As an added bonus, the stuffy gives me something to cuddle!

Ice pack:

When I'm swollen or bloated I like to use an ice pack because the cold helps reduce the swelling. Make sure to wrap it in a towel or pillowcase because cold right against your skin isn't good! I personally like to wrap it in a baby blanket because the material is soft and calming to me.

Oil in a Diffuser:

Eucalyptus and peppermint help with the headaches I get and makes me feel less cranky.

White Flower Oil:

I like to rub this on my temples because it also helps relieve my headaches. However, if you're sensitive to smells or have bad allergies, I suggest not to use it.

Meds:

Mydol or Pamrin are my go-to meds. They help relive bloating, headaches, and cramps. Please, please be careful while taking these because they do have asprin in them, which is a blood thinner, and the caffeine in them might make a headache worse if you take too much.

Shower & Bath:

I always feel really icky during my period, so I take lots of showers and baths. It helps with my body pain, cramps, and makes me feel more clean.

Comfort:

🌸 Having comfort during a period is super important, especially if you experience mood swings or if you go regress.
🌸 Having someone you trust comfort and reassure you is very helpful.
🌸 I personally like cuddles, so my friend or CG will hold me. If they aren't around, I make a nest out of my pillows and stuffies.
🌸 Your favorite regression things are immensely important too. If you're upset while in littlespace because you hurt, having your favorite stuffies, sippy, paci, etc. will help give you comfort and give you something to help feel better.

🍼How to get over a cg🍼
Sometimes we lose people due to breakups or any other number of reasons. Losing anyone is hard but losing your cg really is up there. Here are some tips that helped me in the past! This can also help with losing a tiny but I didn't have that situation yet.
🩷if you need to take a break, your regression is special and sacred, sometimes it's important to take a break if you can. I especially recommend this if u feel like u can't regress, font force it🩷
🩹write a letter to them, if u didn't get closure try to write them a letter with all the things u wanted to say to them, u don't need to send it out just burn or keep it🩹
🍼let yourself grieve, don't be afraid to be sad, cry, be angry let it all out, don't bottle anything up. I wrote a list of what I will miss and what I won't miss, that helped me gain perspective🍼
🩷don't be afraid to ask for help, ask friends to be there for you or talk with you, especially if they know abt your regression. It's important not to be alone after something like this, or not more than u want to🩷
🩹talk with a professional, if u find yourself getting overwhelmed with the sadness and loss talk to a professional or call a hotline, worst case scenario go to a hospital for help🩹
🍼put away memories, if u want to just have a break from the feelings out away gear or other things that remind u of them, don't throw them out just yet but put them in a box and set it aside, u can always throw out or give away things later on🍼
🩷write down an ideal cg, writing a list of what u want in a cg can help, to imagine something to look forward to and find solace in, in the dark moments🩷
🩹do not rush into anything, don't rush into entering a new dynamic with another cg, don't rush into throwing out items or pictures, don't rush into deleting their number. Give yourself time to part with things and decide what to keep🩹

spreading some positive words for my age regressor / dreamer followers...
it's OK if you start the day off feeling little but the feeling fades away later in the day.
it's OK if your regression fluctuates throughout the day. you may feel little in the morning, big in the afternoon, and little again at night.
it's OK if your regression fluctuates throughout the week. maybe one day you feel small but the next you feel big, and another day you feel small again.
it's OK if your regression comes and goes every month or so. you may go through a period where you're regressing a lot. and maybe the next month, you're not as regressed or you don't regress at all!
you are allowed to cope whenever you need it. you are allowed to be little whenever you want to.
regression comes and regression goes and it's OK if it's frequent or infrequent 𓂃⊹
