Miraculous: Magical Connections Date!

I finally have a date to share with you all! The story will begin on Friday, October 4th at 6:00PM PST! (Exactly two weeks from this post going up)

The first Arc is complete, and all of the designs seen throughout the Arc are also finished and have been posted! On top of that, I'm using the rest of the month between this post and Origins Part 1 being posted to get started on Arc 2!

The first Arc ended up being 15 chapters rather than 14, so I hope you all enjoy the additional lore I gave at the end of the first Arc, but with that said, I hope you all enjoy it when it comes out, thank you again for all of your patience <3

I saw this post and started thinking about vet tech Steve who helps this odd but cute couple with their dog who has swallowed something it shouldn't have. When they finally get the rottweiler to throw up the panties - a pair of lacy, forest green boy shorts - the room goes completely silent.

Steve, having heard stories similar to this, thinks that he's about to witness this girl realizing that her boyfriend is cheating on her. Instead the man whirls around to the woman with the most betrayed expression and says "Chrissy! You promised!"

Chrissy shrinks back, her face rapidly turning red as she says "I'm sorry! You were out so I went to the bar with Katie and she introduced me to this girl and she was so fucking hot, Eddie, I couldn't not bring her home!"

The man, Eddie, throws his hands up and says "We made a pact! You broke a holy bond! You shattered my faith in you!"

"It's No Nut November, Eddie, not some sacred oath!"

"Exactly! Do you know how many hot guys I've seen and walked away from because I thought Oh I can't betray Chrissy, it would crush her spirit!"

Steve rapidly realizes what's going on here, and while part of him wants to just leave so they can work this out, the other part of him stops and looks Eddie over. Takes in the messy hair and the nice hands and the cropped band shirt that exposes just enough of his midriff to make Steve interested.

"I'll help you get even, if you want," he finds himself saying, cutting through the bickering and silencing them instantly. Steve sees Eddie's own quick assessment of Steve's person, sees how brown eyes pause on his neck and arms and thighs.

Then he grins, big and sharp and says "I'm more than happy to take you up on that, sweetheart. Are you free tonight?"

In-system relationships can be so intimate.

Waking up together, opening the same eyes, and stretching the same limbs. Yawning in time and saying a good morning that only you who are involved can understand what it's for.

Sharing a meal, not only from the same plate, but with the same hands and the same senses. Deciding what to eat together, something that fits all of your tastes.

Curled in the same bed, in the same blankets, in the same body, drowzily mumbling about nothing and everything to each other. Joking around and feeling their sleepy laugh as if it were your own.

Living life, and inviting them to share yours and your time in it--performing your daily tasks in the unison of cofront. Seeing and hearing and feeling everything together.

Feeling them blush when you flirt or compliment them. Feeling their joy when you get them a gift, or how safe you make them feel simply when you're around them.

Enveloped in the same love, from the same brain, with the same feeling of care for each other palpable between you. Feeling the emotions you feel yourself, coming from the other person. Feeling their love for you, in the rawest, most direct possible way.

we see the PRO HERO BAKUGO OBSSESSED IN AN INTERVIEW, wut if we see the media finally seen a glimpse of his wife and fawning over them because they are really gorgeous. and finnaly having an interview with them two together ^^

katsuki’s personal life had always been a hot topic of discussion for the media.

he was just so mysterious, whenever a small clip or photo of you two holding hands on an outing popped online it'd trend for the week among not only his fandom, but others.

more accurately, they wanted to know who the gorgeous girl was.

you, who always looked candid. your off guards looking planned as even in your worst moment, you still looked your best.

people who speculated you were a small model, a makeup ambassador, an idol? they didn't know, all they did was that you were way too gorgeous to just be a civilian.

so imagine everyone's surprise when you and him have an interview together, holding hands over the small distance between the two couches.

how they adored your smile, the way you seemed to glow even under the unflattering fluorescent lights.

how they could notice a lot of katsuki's influence in your speech, you covering your mouth for the nth time that interview, cursing almost more than katsuki.

how he looked at you. how you looked at him, how you both still seemed to be flustered by each other even though you'd been dating for years.

you left, hand in hand, then finally noticing the huge ring on your finger.

it was now your turn to be surprised, as the public had grown to adore you. brands, agencies, sponsors all calling and offering sums of money you couldn't count just for an endorsement.

katsuki, who could only laugh as the first one you accepted was one modeling his merch.

I went on a date tonight! We went out to this amazing Taichi restaurant which was completely out of my comfort zone. But it was delicious! The date went very well. I like them. Second date secured!

the problem is that being single is seen as the consolidation prize, and not the natural neutral state of being-a-person. at the end of the movie or the book or the poetry, there is a person waiting for you at the altar, and they love you. if the play is a comedy, everyone gets married. the metaphor is about how you are not-whole. the metaphor is about how everyone is going to be happily-ever-after. the metaphor is that romantic love is the most important resource on the planet, not just all-love. all-love is not a thing, that is a disappointment. the treasure is not the friends we made along the way. the treasure is the girl you landed.

the metaphor is that you cannot be alone, that means you are broken. are you getting over someone? that is acceptable, you can be getting over someone, but not for long. you must be single because you would rather not be single. you must be single and looking to not-be-single. you must want to date, eventually.

friendship and community are never seen as being equal-to or even-better than romantic connection. that person is your one! you need to find them. you need to hunt through the sand particles until you can shift out some kind of gem. this is regardless to your own experience of the beach and the sun. you need to be somewhere with someone.

if you are taking this time alone to heal, that is so sad. everyone gives you this little pitying look. the understanding is that you are not actually happier than you were before you were single. it is seen as a sort of pity - oh, you are choosing yourself, making yourself the priority? - that isn't quite right. you must mean that you are making yourself ready for the right person. you are just laying the bed better this time. open up your heart. you'll find them, we promise!

what do you mean you're really-truly genuinely-very happy? you are probably misremembering what it was like to be in a relationship. and besides, once you meet your person, that time will look grey and bland and wasted. your person is the only way for you to see in color. so what if you have taken this time - for the first time in your entire life - to actually-for-real do the fucking work. you can be proud of yourself, sure. but the way we need to know that you got better is that you get a partner. you're healed enough for the next bad part!

people don't choose to be single, they just say they're choosing to be single - they actually mean "nobody wants to date me." it doesn't matter how many people you have gently rejected or how many times you've talked it over carefully in therapy. what matters is that you are single, and by all accounts - that means you are something worth our pity. your successes and life all seem pale in the sunlight. sure, you have done amazing things and finally found your way in life. what matters is that there wasn't a person in the room with you while you did it.

you want to tell them - that's the whole thing. i didn't know how to be alone in the room. i didn't know how to handle the silence. every moment was so sharp, and i kept choosing the wrong way to close the door. i have spent my entire life in the empty well, living in the ricochet of someone else's cruelty. for once i have built myself a ladder. for once everything i taste is all mine, every bite of sunshine and laughter. i have learned how to sleep out in the open with my memories. recently, they have started to purr.

your father rolls his eyes. listen. this isn't about you. i just want a grandchild in my future.
