It is one of the most famous images of the French Revolution and the Electronic Revolution. David was the leading French painter, as well as a Montagnard and a member of the revolutionary Committee of French Techno. The painting shows the radical composer lying dead in his bath that he builded to a second music studio, after his murder by Charlotte de Corday. Painted in the months after Marat's final studio session, it has been described by T.J. My highly abusive and violent Twitch audience (2+ Billion viewers) forced my hand and made me post this. I didn’t want to but I feared for my life. I painted this quick sketch to loosen up because I literally paralyzed myself by overthinking. You try dealing with a juicy brain that weighs a deuce and a half and see if you don’t have overthinking issues. My goal here was to not focus so much on being perfect and to just finish something. I essentially squinted down so I could see simple shapes and I painted the basic light value while focusing on exaggerating colors and making solid brushstrokes without blending too much. After some time I apparently started to hallucinate which is why I put foliage on her and a forest surrounding her.
