Till's piece from the event is a very honest depiction, but I want to examine it in more detail since it looks so interesting.

For one, I find the headpiece confusing, I was hesitant on this point in the last post I made covering this I assumed the headpiece Till is wearing (separate from the headphones) was this device.

There isn't even a name for that device, but it's been theorized that it serves a similar function have the collars pet humans have, but affects the pet humans in some way.

I believe it's a behavioral management device since there is an emphasis on the brain when it's shown. And just based on the design itself. I think the purpose of it is similar to a shock collar.

Till in this environment looks familiar, he has that focused expression that he always has when he's writing music, like he's in a daze. Since this is a practice in a controlled environment I think he might actually be handling an instrument this time around (hence the headphones). Till has a natural passion for music, the environment of Anakt Garden also appears more calm than what he goes through with Urak so he looks very much in his element.

But despite how calm, and focused he looks outwardly, his collar shows orange.

Till is giving with his expressions even around the aliens, so if he was feeling bad (I would suspect as much seeing the fresh experiment patches..) I believe it would look more obvious, but the difference threw me off a bit. I could be reaching (definitely) But given how unruly his behavior can be, and how much effort the aliens are putting into finding ways to subdue him I think they used that device to mellow him out so that they could properly monitor him.

The collar being orange gives me the impression that he's not as calm as he looks but the headpiece is keeping him in a 'sedated' state(?)

Red - Condition in the negatives, energy depleted, feeling bad. overall horrible state.

Orange, yellow - to a lesser extent, more like if you're feeling skittish, nervous, (think of this mode as feeling under the weather)

Green - Good, calm, happy, normal and a healthy mode.

This behavior could also show desensitization, as he had likely been conditioned to not be phased nor show weakness in front of the aliens even if he feels bad, a way of tolerating. But this is just me trying to make sense of whatever that head gear was... he could've also been sedated beforehand (banging my head against the concrete)

Also interesting to me that we weren't shown Till doing other things, like dancing, or singing. I think it's a testament to Anakt's (And Urak's) priorities as they have Till build on his music skills, his strongest skill. It's probably because that's all he has to offer is his music (His grades in every other subject are a mess.). So building that to its greatest potential before anything is important. But it's a reminder of the situation, he's not so intense about his craft because of his inclination to it. He doesn't make music simply because he likes it, he does it because it's what he has to do to survive. Despite doing what he is naturally driven to do, he looks like he has had his life drained out of him.

Urak (the bastard) knows that for sure. Appearances, and 'decent' skills can get you far but overwhelming passion and skill can put you farther above all the rest, it's exactly why Luka is the best in his league, and why Urak pushes Till to his limits to surpass that even with such destructive means.

My personal headcanon is that Pony got his love for reading from Darry. When Darry was in high school he’d read the books he got in class out loud to Ponyboy and straight up just handed him some of the easier ones so they could talk about it later. In my brain the reason Ponyboy clings onto it so much is because it’s one of the things he and Darry REALLY bonded over when he was a kid and it just brings back good memories of when they got along better.

funny idea but what if the mtt (+ nightmare. feelin inclusive today) made a "book club" and nightmare's the only one that takes it seriously. for the mtt it's just a collective effort to come up with the craziest book plots ever and try to convince the others that this bs that they're yapping is a real book

nightmare is extremely confused when dust begins talking about his book called "the ribshanker" and it's a horror thriller book where this dog ends up digging through graveyards and stealing ribs to reassemble his dead mate (a big reveal was that the dog was gay) who died due to a shooting from the local bombs specialist and then the final chapter of the book ends up with the dog mauling a farmer and stealing his head. and then when the dog's dogfriend returns to life he actually returns as the sans from underdog (probably an AU out there)

and killer and horror feed into this fake ass story by adding dumb details and making the plot more confusing but it somehow makes sense in the end and nightmare is confused out of his mind. the book they chose for the book club was metamorphosis by gregor samsa what the fuck is this ribshanker shit. he has his suspicions that they're actually just making shit up when killer ends up describing a book with a plot that's a wee bit too similar to how he met nightmare

ok but im rly into the idea of till having a new era that brings the light back to his eyes and drives him forward if he gets to escape the arena. idk where he'd go from there but i want to see ivans sacrifice both haunt him and drive him to actually live his damn life after being the captured bird refusing freedom cause of mizi. once he knows she's alive with the resistance he might be able to actually experience other things and widen his world and if that happens and he puts his personal sense of rebellion towards the human cause OR settles into finding some other way to feel fulfilment that isn't a single person that could be deeply fascinating to me i think

for the most part I think I'm definitely preaching to the choir on this but like..I just wanna type things out.

so many of the people I know who voted for him didn't expect him to win. they seem disappointed even. I think they knew that they didn't agree with him but couldn't admit it and saw that at WORST their lives would mostly be unchanged under a dem president so they were quietly relying on her to win while maintaining face(if you can call it that) by staying on the trump ship. it obviously emboldened hatred and vitriol and we've known that since last time, but now there are so many /we can disagree and still be friends/ posts amidst SO many filings for divorce because that is true and this isn't that. it's not "disagreement" to erase a person's humanity and strip away human rights more easily. it's not "disagreement" to think no one's life should be marginally easier if yours isn't also getting easier. it isn't "disagreement" to openly and loudly say you're happy that people are frightened and upset and hurt. it isn't "disagreement" to say everyone should have to live according to your own religious beliefs (which may or may not be aligned with what is explicitly written in your religion's scripture). we can disagree about if pineapple belongs on pizza. we can disagree about which lotr movie is the best. we could even disagree about whether the dress is black and blue or white and yellow. it feels asinine to think that everything would be fine when at the time it mattered most to someone you call a friend or family, you could look at them and choose to send the very clear message that you do not see them as a person worthy of living a good life and having hope for the future. when it came down to it, you chose someone who will never EVER see you as respectable or look out for you over people who gave you chance after chance after chance and finally chose peace.

anyway, I love you to everyone who feels uneasy and apprehensive about the future. I hope the next 4 years and some change is boring as hell.

Genuinely intrigued by the potential of Peri and Irep's dynamic but only in a platonic way so I end up not vibing with the fandom's portrayal of it 😔😔😔

(No but listen LISTEN they were kinda-almost-friends when we last saw them in FOP, yeah? Now they're enemies, with both actively fighting each other, and Irep going so far as to try and kill Peri's parents. What happened? When? What influenced it? Did they ever become friends, or did it nosedive the moment the cameras turned off? What about Sammy? How do Irep's parents factor into this? Could it ever be fixed? There's just so much we haven't seen, and romance just feels like too easy a solution to me. Let their friendship be easy to break, fragile. Let them have to work to keep the connection. Fairies and Anti-Fairies are literally made to be opposites, so what happens when two genuinely and truly become friends?)

((and yeah I guess a lot of this could factor into a romantic angle but ALAS the fandom seems to be leaning heavily into the funny toxic yaoi angle 😔 I don't mind it! By all means, please have your very harmless fun! But it ain't my jam :P Perhaps I'll have to write a oneshot myself...))

I've been trying to make a post about the OMITB finale but I'm just. Overwhelmed. It was too good. I was in tears as soon as the episode started and I kept tearing up all the way through. I suppose it starts with finding your hero. I can't do it, Sazz. Oh, I can't do it by myself / That's why I'm here. Sazz was kind to everyone. He's gonna get you, my... number... one. You know, I appreciate this movie in a whole different way now; I mean, Sazz wrote this. It's just so, so special to have an amazing show like this that's centered on platonic bonds and the love between friends. I loved the wedding, of course, but the true relationship at the core of this show is the one between the trio, and the true relationship at the core of this season was the one between Charles and Sazz, and the way they went about it was everything to me.

I love you, OMITB. You're the most wonderful funky little comfort show ever. Never change.
