"Protect minors", "Protect minors"! Until it's one of ur mindless hater friends. It's crazy how blind u people are. Sure, accusing Kittycorn is fine, but pointing out concerning behavior gets u dogpiled by the hater mob. What is wrong with u. Genuine question. Did mindlessly hating people on the internet rot ur brain and make u think touching kids is ok if u hate the right person online? I hope u all hold hands and jump off a bridge.
I honestly don't even have words dawg. Accusing a random guy of being a pedophile and wishing minors would kill themselves... all because you were wrong... uhm. Yeah you're actually fucking messed up please seek professional help and log off you're a fucking vile person wishing death upon children.

"wow im sowwy i have such low spoons i couldn't possibly put an image ID in my post, can someone else do it for me uwu"
just admit you don't give two shits about people who use screen readers. you wrote up a whole ass text post with an image but your energy magically stops when it's time to be inclusive? lmao no. if you can't spare the energy to add an ID to that then don't post it at all you fucking cunt. and you don't get to act like it's a massive fucking burden on you that you have to shove off to someone else. actually vile behaviour from someone who's literally complaining about ableism. i hate this shit ass community
^ So this is actually ableism. ^ Lots of very nasty ableist projecting here which is disappointing but quite common on this site.
Chronic pain, fatigue, and brain fog are a thing. Limitations are a thing. My pain and meds wrecking my cognitive function, my symptoms demanding I take a break so I don’t go into the red and puke are a thing. My very nerve pain from using my hands is literally why I had to give up so many things, and why I can’t edit or type that much in a given day. It’s called disability for a reason.
(I queue most posts after chipping away at them. Only some posts are spontaneous.)
This is why we even use the concept of spoons. If I need to stop and save spoons to drive an hour to my doctor appt, or even just save them to cook a meal later, then I HAVE to do that. And I’d rather post something and ask for assistance from others who feel up to it than have a post keep sitting in my drafts for months and months. I have 2 year old posts I just can’t get my brain working for.
You’re so close with “energy magically disappeared”—so close. Bc that’s actually how disability and chronic illness is. Moment to moment we don’t know how we’re going to feel or when we’ll need to take a break.
It’s so funny bc the reason my backlog has gotten so much bigger over the past 3 years is bc I take so long to subtitle clips and write ID’s.
I’m not mad at you, but boundary-wise, it isn’t okay for you to take out your frustration with the community on me just bc I’m an easy and accessible target to anon rage at. I would recommend talking about this stuff in your journal or with a trusted friend or mental health professional before running off to say mean things you may later feel bad about.
Thank you to those who have always helped to ID things without judgment or projection. It seriously means so much bc I’ve got a lot on my plate with my health and home and job rn. I’m grateful for your kindness and for you seeing me as human and not just a content creation machine. I’m glad to be part of a community that understands that it’s okay to ask for help and to help each other. I’m glad we don’t have this unhealthy mindset of “I MUST do it myself or I’m a bad person.”
🙏🏻💙🥄♿️✨

Lmfao, asking a stranger for their diagnosis is not only ableist but is a violation of my privacy. The only people that have seen our diagnosis is our college, family obviously and work. We get extended time on classwork due to our DID. It's not fun, I can barely function at all more or less to talk to my crush in real life.

Maybe i just joined the fandom space way later than everyone else, but i swear to god the WaCa fandom is only this up in arms about how "ugly" and "deformed" and "disgusting" Moonpaw is/will be as a result of incest because she is confirmed to be a chimera.
I never saw this same kind of behavior when Graystripes parents were mistakenly made siblings. Nor with Ashfur and Squirrelflight, even after the fandom pointed out that theyre half-uncle and niece. I didnt see it with Fernsong and Ivypool. I didnt see it with Birchfall and Whitewing. I didnt see it with Dewnose and Sorrelstripe.
"Maybe its because theyre first cousins?" But no, because Dustpelt and Ferncloud are uncle and niece, directly related to Robinwing.
I believe the fandom only cares about the fact the parents are related here because in their mind it gives them "an excuse" to be disgusting about her chimerism. With any other characters, it's just another instance of the writers being incompetent. With Moonpaw, "it's why she's so fucked up".
Yes, they hate her because she's a result of an incest, but I'm starting to become convinced they're only this vocal about it because of how she looks. They don't truly care she's inbred, they only care that they have "a good reason" to be ableist.
This being said as a victim of incestual abuse. Cousin and cousin, just like Thriftear and Bayshine.
Is this a bad take? Am I grasping at straws? Is this just an effect of avoiding the fandom for so long? SOS
You're not grasping at straws. I think you're right on the money, honestly.
Something a lot of people don't seem to understand is that a lot of bigotry is not overt. Ableists don't usually run around saying they want all disabled people to be thrown off cliffs (when they get to that point we're in SERIOUS danger), but they DO grab your wheelchair's handles, or speak over you when you're stuttering, or assume you're stupid or dangerous. It's usually implicit biases, and structural inequality.
This is why humor is so good at revealing these internal biases. You may not believe you're classist, you might have friends from Alabama, or Durham, or Wales, but what accent do you give your "stupid" character if you're telling a story? Why are the accents of "poor" regions associated with low intelligence?
So to bring it around-- why did we see the spike in "jokes" about "ugly inbreeds" for our very first character with a confirmed genetic condition?
I've been in and around this fandom since 2008, and I've NEVER seen another character get talked about like this. Mind you, Graystripe was the child of a sister and a brother for a LONG time, too, from 2009 to 2016 (maybe even later, I don't remember exactly when the modern tree was released). And no one did it with Bristlefrost, either, in spite of there being a pretty huge uproar about her parents being distantly related.
No one else. Just the chimera. "No wonder she looks like that" and "here she is with a hapsburg jaw" and "she'd be so slurs she'd be icky."
Characters without disability, no congenital conditions, nothing = "Ugh damn writers and their incompetence strikes again. God they need to get some fresh blood in here"
(moonpaw) = "EWW NO WONDER!! WHEN WILL THE GENE POOL BE BLEACHED"
There's also the incredible irony of the fact that like. moonpaw has a common tortie fur pattern and heterochromia. you don't even need to show an ableist an actual congenital condition, you can suggest a normal face is disabled and they will lose their minds. Bigotry rots your brain.
Also, just, as a closing note, as usual the bigot is incorrect. Chimerism and inbreeding have literally nothing to do with each other. There is no link between chimerism and inbreeding. they are once again confusing chimerism and mosaicism and trying to whine It's Just Biology because you told them their joke wasn't funny.
#mooncourse#And it really just is an excuse to be ableist I got anons calling me delusional from this btw#Also lots of implications that I'm not a victim of incest apparently. Thanks ill go tell my therapist#I'd rather it be me than someone who had it worse though#Some of the stories that were shared with me-- especially one that was a DM and I will not be sharing-- have actually brought me to tears

Honestly, getting called ableist because I have the audacity to think that a disabled fictional character should have made more of an effort to be a good person and do right by his friends is the funniest thing that's happened to me all month, I hope the Remus stans never stop being fucking weirdos because they are single-handedly entertaining me through this terrible summer.
#remus apologists strike again!#imagine thinking it's ableist to want a fictional person to not be a shitty person to his friends#anyway feel free to leave more anons in my inbox so i can have a good laugh

I’m not going to name names here, but if you’re considering sending anon hate to someone, for literally any reason:
Don’t. Just fucking don’t. Step away from the computer. Think about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Think about the fact that there’s a real human on the other end, with real feelings and real problems. When you send hate you have no idea what you’re adding onto, what you’re triggering for them.
That kind of cruelty does literally nothing but cause distress, and it’s not going to make you feel better to send it. It’s not going to make you feel vindicated, or like you got revenge somehow. It’s just going to make you more angry.
We don’t need that in the world right now. We really don’t, there’s enough pain, fear and anger to go around, and you can make the choice to not add to that. It’s simple. It’s an easy choice to make.
If you’re following me and you’ve been sending hate to my mutuals you need to unfollow me. I don’t support that juvenile behaviour. This is a space for adults and if you can’t act like an adult and be civil then you don’t deserve to be here.
#and also don’t fucking use ableist language to try and hurt someone!!#it’s literally just so fucking gross!#anon hate

"I wanted to point out ableism they brought up those weird allegations" ur shit as gaslighting btw
Please answer my message. When u go silent for too long I get worried. Don't feed into those guys's delusions I'm not that kind of hateful person, I'm just looking out for u.
It's not a great look that sparkleswap is getting so many anons abt them though. Do u think they're doing this to themselves, maybe...? I just wanted to point out ableism, they brought up those weird allegations...
Hey so I didn't answer your message because you're really creeping me out buddy! I'ma repeated victim of constant gaslighting and this is setting off literally every "get out" bell in my head that you can think of!
You're still trying to turn be against random people with NO proof. If swap is SUUUUCH a bad person like you say they are, don't expect me to take your word for it. You're a random person on the internet who is acting VERY creepy towards me. I know better than that. Give me some actual fucking proof if you're so bent on the fact that I'm surrounded by terrible people and you're supposed to be my knight in shining armor.
I have fucking anxiety, dude. Don't start this shit. You're causing me more harm than good. That fucking account you sent me is a spam account. Don't even try. You said that someone was acting like you but then turn around and act exactly like how the past asks have been acting.
I'm not a fucking damsel in distress for you to save. Stop calling out other people for random things when you're the one acting weird.

That post was not about shaming people for not volunteering at their local food banks or anything like that, it was about how the internet and the constant global news feed flood people with misery and guilt over every single tragedy in the world that we have no power over and we end up so overwhelmed with helplessness that we aren't able to see the point in doing "small" things because they feel so insignificant compared to massive tragedies happening on the other side of the world.
What does joining an urban gardening group mean in the face of Russia's invasion of Ukraine? Why volunteer to pick up litter when you're just going to get called an heartless psychopath by an anon on tumblr for not posting enough about the genocide of Uyghur people in China?
This isn't a new or sudden issue, it's been building steadily since people started having constant and immediate access to global news. We're scared and we're tired of being scared. There's so much going on all the time in every direction that it just feels so much easier to just curl up and cry than try to care about everything or come off as evil for not caring about everything.

Hiii, can I ask for more autistic Yelena hcs? I love her sm but there's so little content for her :(
Autistic Yelena Belova is the genuine love of my life and I would do anything for her
Also this was MUCH longer than I thought it would be so I hope that’s your thing lol
-first of all, Yelena has literally no clue what autism is. They were never taught about neurodivergence in the Red Room, because there was no point. Each Widow was already tested on their cognitive abilities over and over and over again, with the weak links being weeded out. Yelena got “lucky” in that aspect; she didn’t start showing signs or symptoms until later (which can happen) and would be considered high functioning or even neurotypical when under the Red Room’s control. She unknowingly taught herself how to mask and always blamed the discomfort she felt on the fact that she was in the hell that was the Red Room in the first place.
-the first time she ever mentions something that could be related back to her being autistic, she and Kate are out clothes shopping. She’s already overstimulated from the bright sunlight, the store lights glaring off the floor, and the sounds of people’s shoes clacking, shopping carts creaking, and the children throwing a fit on the other side of the store. She physically recoils away from a jacket after her knuckles brush over it, her face scrunching up and tears welling in her eyes as she desperately shakes her hand out to get the disgusting texture off of her skin. Kate is worried and confused, but once they’ve gotten into the safety of their car with the window shades pulled up and the AC blasting, Yelena is able to explain that the texture felt awful and it felt like her brain was on fire from all the noise (even tho the store was actually relatively quiet). Kate starts putting two and two together after that day but doesn’t say anything for a while.
-when the idea of a diagnosis is brought to her, Yelena literally laughs in Kate and Natasha’s faces. She doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about, but she’s for damn sure knows that that’s not her. She avoids the topic completely for weeks, changing the subject abruptly, leaving the room, of just full on putting her noise canceling headphones on and blasting her favorite music. That entire time, she is masking HARD, still without even realizing it, because the thought of a medical professional analyzing her is terrifying and just brings her right back to the Red Room. Kate is finally able to get to her one night when she pulls out her laptop and shows Yelena a list of common signs/symptoms of autism, and Yelena reads over them with a blank look on her face. She spends the rest of the night feverishly researching as much as she can about it, and by the morning, she’s a crying, exhausted mess in Kate’s arms.
-when they finally make her an appointment to see a neurologist, Yelena is practically bouncing off the walls with how anxious she is. The wait time is months long, but Natasha pulls some strings and manages to get her scheduled for the next month. Yelena needs a ton of cuddles after that, curling up with Kate on their bed and having the archer rest on top of her so it can feel like her body isn’t trying to escape her.
-the appointment itself goes smoother than she was expecting, but she still doesn’t like it. She’s asked questions and given scenarios to react to, they have her complete all sorts of different kinds of puzzles and equations, but she completes them all beyond easily because her brain was literally rewired to be cognitively brilliant. They don’t really start getting anywhere until the topic of her overstimulation comes up, and from there it pipelines into a conversation about how she hates certain textures, how some foods feel impossible to eat, how she has to complete patterns in her head to feel better, how anxious she gets about small things, how she stims and ticks almost constantly without even realizing, etc etc. She gets the official diagnosis a few weeks later and doesn’t know how to feel, so Kate and Natasha just hold her and they all watch a movie together.
-with Yelena’s stimming, you can bet it’s pretty constant whenever she’s not masking. Stimming is the repetition of certain physical movements or noises to help calm someone down. And seeing as Yelena is who she is, she’s stressed pretty much all the time. Her biggest stim is playing and fidgeting with her rings, but she also taps her fingers together a lot in patterns that she can’t explain, blinks rapidly when it’s bright wherever she is, rubs her thumb over her cheek, presses her hands together tightly and rubs them together, and runs her hands through her hair. She tries to get herself to stop doing those things once she knows what they are, but masking is getting more and more uncomfortable, and she only lasts a few days before she breaks and has a meltdown.
-she ticks when she’s particularly anxious or overstimulated, or when there are sudden unexpected loud noises whenever she’s relaxed and not masking. Ticks are a lot like stims, but are most often involuntary and can’t be controlled unless a lot of effort is put into it. Keeping oneself from ticking can be extremely physically painful, more so than holding back on stimming. Her ticks are usually small- clicking her tongue, making small noises in the back of her throat, tilting her head back and forth, snapping her fingers, etc. With the loud noises or high levels of stress, they turn into full body twitches, which usually renders her entirely nonverbal and prone on the couch or in bed while she shivers and jerks. It freaks Kate out until she understands what’s happening and learns how to help, but only because she’s so worried.
-Yelena finds out that she loves to have something in her mouth, and at first it weirds and freaks her out, but she can’t help herself when Natasha buys her a chewable necklace. She adores the texture on her tongue and how she can sink her teeth into it without it breaking, and she wears it almost constantly, often accessorizing different color pallets of the chewelry with how she dresses. She also likes to chew or suck gently on Kate’s fingers, which usually happens when they’re cuddling or after sex. Kate doesn’t mind, as long as she doesn’t bite too hard, and she makes sure to always have her hands clean whenever they’re together in case Yelena randomly wants to go full puppy on her.

hate it more than anything when people are like "[character] doesn't deserve [person/thing] because they are/have [mental disability/symptoms of a mental disability]" like damn at least try to pretend you aren't ableist please and thank you.
