I find it so funny that having Pike wear a black undershirt with the green wrap shirt implies that, it is the proper way to wear the uniform and that Kirk is wearing it like that for slut whore reasons

RULEZ:
Glenn has to be present in every fic, but he doesn't have to take part in all the sex
Ron can only have sex if Mr Moustache gives verbal consent
No kinkshaming except on kinkshaming day
No harassing the event organisers and we define harassment as being annoyinnnggg
If you've written anything problematic in the past, we either don't care or we liked it
If you make a character trans, everyone has to be really nice about it
Twincest is only allowed if you first establish they're adopted and identical by coincidence, OR just Oakvale clones
Hermie is technically a toddler so he's only allowed on Underage day
If you see the organisers at the next Devil's Sacrament, you have to pretend we're friends so the Devil thinks we're popular
If you find a loophole and make any of these prompts sexy? You're very cool and hot, good job
Actual rules:
No kinkshaming real people, don't like don't interact, YKINMKATO, etc etc
You actually do need to be cool about trans people. No TERFS, thanks.
Keep Grant Gay. Queer identities are important, and we don't invalidate people round these parts.
Similarly, if you do any art, please remember that not every character is white and/or thin.
If anyone does actually make anything, tag it DnDads UnKinktober and we'll rb it from here- tagged " Unkink Loophole" if it's ADULT, so block that tag if you only want to see SFW.

if you wiped every ICE agent off the face of the earth, a hundred million people would become safer overnight. if you wiped every furry off the face of the earth, the entire internet would collapse for good in a matter of hours. i know where my allegiances lie.

ALLISON THE SCAM DOG

A few days ago I got a message asking if I took commissions after I posted a piece of art here on tumblr. I told them I've never done commissions before, not real ones anyway for like actual money, but I would be interested to see what they had in mind.
They sent me a cute picture of their dog Allison, and since I was already interested in drawing more dogs recently I thought it would be a great opportunity!
However, I was already getting sketchy vibes.
Red Flag 1: I haven't posted any drawings of dogs. This person asked me about commissions after liking and commenting on this Post, (which is a drawing of a fake heavy metal band poster I did for my little sibling for their birthday). This commissioner wanted their exact dog photo recreated, a realistic drawing of their dog. I thought this was weird but some friends said that's how some older people are?
Red Flag 2: I told them it wasn't entirely my expertise but I would be willing to draw it and gave them some ideas about it. They had nothing to add. THAT was the biggest sign to me it was a scam. You're telling me you're about to spend $100 on a drawing and have no requirements or stipulations ? They didn't ask me about a timeline or any thing either. Again, was told this could be because that's just how some people are.
Red Flag 3: They were really terse, borderline rude but not quite. It made me feel really uncomfortable bringing up more questions, like I was bothering them. An artist you're commissioning shouldn't have to dig information out of you anyways.
Red Flag 4: They didn't go through any of my work. I have an art tag, dupree art, and you can see all my pieces. I thought maybe they did go through it and just didn't like any of the posts or maybe they're one of those people that think artist can do any style and it doesn't matter what they post. My friends reassured me that some people are just like that.
But at this point I was pretty sure it was a scam. But, like I said, I've been wanting to draw more dogs lately and thought this was a good opportunity to do some dog drawin and maybe, MAYBE, get paid for it (I didn't). And ... I was kind of excited someone would commission me? Like I said, no one had ever done that before and I felt really flattered someone wanted my work.
Now here's where the big guns come in.
Green Flag ? : I needed to know how much shipping would cost, so I asked for an address. It was a real address they sent me, which kind of got my hopes up.
Red Flag 5: The address was to a hotel ... hrm
Red Flag 6: I had never used paypal before, so I was getting advice from fellow art friends and they said to send the commissioner an invoice for the payment. I asked the person their info and they said they had trouble with invoices and they would rather just send me the money.
Red Flag 7: I had sent this person benchmarks but not a picture of the finished piece yet, just told them I had finished and was ready to send it to them after the payment. They said I had done such a good job that they wanted to give me $300 instead of $100, WOW! That's amazing! And also incredibly suspicious!!! I told them I was not comfortable with receiving that amount for the piece because I am such an amateur and they HADN'T EVEN SEEN THE END RESULT.
(Apparently 300$ is a number a lot of scammers are using lately? idk why, I'm not a scam expert.)
Aaaand since I was now 99% sure this was a scam, I blocked them and made sure they couldn't access my paypal or anything. I wanted to share this information because at first I wasn't worried and thought even if it was a scam I wasn't going to give them any money or anything. Honestly, I didn't even wait to see what the scammer really wanted. But still, now I'm worried what they're going to do with the little amount of information I gave them, and if it's enough to do any damage to me.
I don't want anyone else to have to deal with that, especially since this scam seems to be targeting inexperienced artists or artists who don't take commissions and do it for fun.
Worse part is, I forgot the number one rule of how to detect a scam! Ugh! I feel so silly (though its easy to forget when you are excited about something I know).
I SHOULD HAVE REVERSE IMAGE SEARCHED THE DAMN DOG!
THE BIGGEST RED FLAG:
instagram
That one was on Insta and this one was on facebook, referencing the one on Insta
So please be careful out there and trust your gut when you think it's a scam! And don't be like me who thought 'eh what would it hurt even if it turned out to be a scam?'. I didn't think about what people out there can do with your information and now I'm deleting my paypal and getting a new card to make sure they can't access my bank account or something asdkslf I know, paranoid maybe but I should have been more cautious to begin with.
And If anyone would like to commission me, here's some of my work lol It's mediocre and cheap! I just like to do art!

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?
