Getting back home after playing restaurant with Minjun and Haechan, Hanbin was stressed out. Pacing back and forth, he thought his life wouldn't get more complicated than it was when he found a letter at his mailbox that triggered a memory he thought he had lost.

Complimentary mail service from Johnny who goes out to the city to retrieve everyone's mail from the post office and brings it back to sort to everyone's mailboxes.

"This can't be fucking happening... this can't be true..." Hanbin mumbled to himself as he ran his hands through his hair for the nth time. Dark locks tousled and messed up from how he had fixed his hair neatly that morning.

Grabbing the letter that sat on the kitchen counter, he reads through it again. The neatly written cursive words haunting him, blaring the truth he didn't know about after years of his hound having done something.

"Fuck this stupid anti-aging gene!" Slamming his fist, not so hard as to break the countertop, he hears how his hound whines. "Shut up! This is on you. If I aged normally, this wouldn't have happened or I would've been dead by now to not know about it!" He snaps at himself, scolding his hound.

Dropping the letter back on the countertop, he places his hands on the cool onyx counter. Thinking, planning on what to do next as the words from the letter stared back at him.

"Dear Hanbin,

I know you may not remember me since its been so many years, but it's me... Lim Jugyeong, your best friend that would always go to that karaoke place in Hongdae with you that you loved.

I'm writing to you because there's something you should know. I remember you said that you would be moving back to where your pack is, and I've tried so hard to look for you. To find out where your pack is since you never wanted to mention the location in case someone overheard. Well this is an emergency.

You have a son. I know we were young when we had that night together, and that you weren't looking for something serious... but I've tried each year since he was born to look for you, but I just couldn't find you. I was afraid, I was terrified of what you would say. I've told him about you. He understands you didn't know about him and didn't want a relationship with me. He's a good kid.

The other reason why I'm writing to you is that I'm dying. My werewolf has been poisoned and it's weakening me each day. I haven't told our son about it. I've told him it's just the flu...

All these years, having the privilege to be a werewolf and not age fast have given me such a great opportunity to see our son grow up to be a gentleman.

Please come visit us, Hanbin. I'll write down the address of where we now live in.

Knowing what to do, Hanbin takes the letter with him and heads upstairs to his room where he would pack to head to where his best friend and mother to his son lived.

What would Y/N do is Orca!Eclipse was having a panic attack?

He would try to hide from your sights and deal with it on his own, panicking and struggling with the squeezing pressure in his chest that makes him wonder if his heart will simply stop and he will float belly up, dead. He can't be seen as weak. That's not attractive. That's not going to make you stay. But you would find him anyway.

You're bewildered and alarmed watching the orca siren flounder as if he were under attack, but he couldn't be. He's the apex predator of the Arctic. You finally beckon and perhaps even touch him when he thrashes beside the ice. Your gloves slide down his slick skin but you take him by the face and hold him still, speaking softly to him. You don't know what's wrong. You only know his eyes are wide and wild, darting everywhere but you.

Softly, calmly, you tell him everything is alright. He's safe. He's going to be okay. You're here. You don't want him to be scared or hurt or alone. His breaths are off-tempo and hitched like he's drowning above the sea. Your thumbs softly stroke his cheek while he slowly clings to you, his claws pressing so tight to your coat that you're afraid he's going to puncture the fabric. Instead, he slowly drags himself onto land and pulls you against his wet chest. This time, you don't fear it so much.

He curls tightly around you, clinging to you like a child. Even stranger, he's silent. He's so terribly quiet and you fear that he's gone into shock or something of that nature. You keep talking to him, telling him things about photography and other places you visit, anything to keep him grounded with your voice. You don't think you make any sense or you sound boring, but when you pause for a few seconds too long, his arms begin squeezing you. You continue, and he gradually uncoils from whatever is gripping him.

You ask if he wants to talk about it. He says no. He just wants to hold you. He begs you to stay, to not leave him. He doesn't want to be alone again.

So you stay with him in his arms until he's almost back to old himself.

After finally being able to listen without bursting into tears, I have Emotions about Samuel's last words.

Not the ones he physically speaks to Kal. Those are a clear statement that Kal's mockery hasn't gotten to him in the end, and that he's standing up for what he believes in, because he does believe in something. In a way, it's an accusation that Kal doesn't.

"Young man with potential." The last words he sings in "Samuel and the Sun (Reprise)." His last private moment. At the end of everything, he realizes he could've been anything. He's choosing to be a hero, but he didn't have to. He has so much imagination, so many things were possible in his future. Maybe he's less impressive than his sister or Margaret or John. Maybe the world didn't have big plans or a destiny for him. But that means he could have done anything. And he could've, if he put his mind to it, he realizes.

And I think part of him mourns the things he's sacrificing. All of the potential futures with his friends in the fantastic world they've discovered together. There are so many empty pages left. There's so much potential that will never come to pass. But because he had the power of choice, he's putting the potential to use to preserve that future for everyone else.

"You know where to find me," written in the journal, and mentioned as his Last Words by the Narrator. Words he and Margaret have spoken back and forth multiple times. Margaret, the Great Enchantress, the princess of the Blazing World. Margaret, who is clearly the single most powerful character in the series, magically speaking. Margaret, who knows Samuel is the most important.

Margaret believes in belief. She always has. Samuel believes in nothing more than Margaret. He's the one who set the entire story in motion. She said it herself: if he hadn't come into her life, she'd still be miserable and alone in New York.

Samuel believes in Margaret. He believes more than anything that if she needs to find him, she will know where to look. It's likely that means looking inside. That he will always be with her (and John, and especially Rose, whom he did just promise he'd never leave again). But maybe... If she's really so powerful... if his belief in her is somehow even greater than her magic, then maybe...

Finished Chapter 2! SPOILERS AHEAD! I must say that this chapter oddly made me dislike Makoto a bit. I genuinely thought I'd potentially dislike Byakuya in some ways more, perhaps feel a bit more upset at him than I do. On the contrary though, Makoto sucks in some ways. Which, don't get me wrong. Makoto deserves to be a flawed individual!! Golly though. For one, he really is a normie in some ways with how little he knows. How he asks so many unneeded questions, specifically when he was being dragged around by Byakuya which I get to some extent. He was very much disoriented from the whole ordeal, struggling to figure out why Byakuya of all people was interested in him specifically in regards of sleuthing about for the investigation. At the same time though, he needs to quit it with the rhetorical reciting questions that almost parrot what the other person just said. I get it's probably a bad habit of his but he need to get a grip about it. I can only extent sympathy for so long. Being a bit intentionally dramatic here by the way, but it sometimes feels like a tension killer or that it makes Makoto look a bit too dense. Don't get me started on the whole "rope" debacle too. Like, UUUUUGH! It's so obviously the extension cord Byakuya used in the library! So very obvious! Like, Byakuya took his time to bring Makoto to the library and I get Byakuya was being stubborn and not letting Makoto look at anything other than what he wanted him to look at. But it's so OBVIOUS!!! Though, I suppose I can blame a bit of this on the game design to some extent. Certainly doesn't make Makoto look smarter by any means. Maybe it's that denial where I can see Makoto's smarts shine in the trials so I feel like I'm internally being a bit harsh on him. I've seen others call him dense after all and I DO wanna look at Makoto in a positive light. I don't wanna be hating on the little bastard after all. It does get on my nerves sometimes though. and I can't lie to myself about that. Furthermore, the fact that I had to progress the trial by Hangman's Gambit-ing a slur for schizophrenic people regarding Genocide Jack. On a meta level, I get that doing D.I.D is a bit short and the full term is probably too long to do for just the second dang trial. Definitely not an excuse to use a slur that has no means being here though. Also though, in an in-world explanation, damnit, Makoto. You sure do have some shit you gotta sort out if that's what you're internally describing Jack as who, by the way, does not have schizophrenia. D.I.D and schizophrenia are very much not the same disorder. You called D.I.D a split personality multiple times which shows you know the difference. And, I can get it to some extent that, yes. This game is from the 2000s. The 2000s was definitely a more ableist time where terminology like that was flung around like it was nothing. So, in a sense of historical accuracy, I can understand why he might have said this word. I must also mention though that this isn't the first time Makoto was unnecessarily cruel to the others internally in his head. Thus, this certainly feels a bit more like a pattern of behavior for him. This is all interesting to me though with how much I've seen this side of Makoto ignored in some ways. He's surprisingly more judgmental than I feel some give him credit for. From internally thinking Taka was annoying when he first met him to finding Hifumi weird for his interests in Hifumi's own Free-time events (which I get. Hifumi isn't exactly written in the nicest light. Don't blame him for that. I blame the dated writing). I find this aspect of Makoto so intriguing though. In a way, Byakuya, the asshole of the group who dislikes everyone and mentions multiple times how he plans on following through with a murder, is less judgmental than Makoto. He said himself not to judge others by your own standards before the murder, during the investigation, and after the trial like he was the narrator of a children's book giving the moral of the story.

Fascinating...
