I think Steve would die on the inside. He’d feel insane amounts of grief and regret. Also he has a soul bond with her so he’d feel incomplete and broken forever. He’d either unalive himself or turn to alcohol and live out the rest of his life miserable and drunk, trying to numb the pain. He’d absolutely loathe himself.

POYT AU where Omega actually becomes the live in nurse for Steve’s mother.

Steve’s mother and father obviously instantly adore her and she’s the only one that Mrs Roger’s doesn’t immediately dismiss or get annoyed when omega fusses over her. Oh, my god! I love the au idea! I want to play too!!!!

I know POYT is already dark, but I had an even darker idea. Steve is already so brutal as an alpha int the POYT universe, but in the au, what if he’s diagnosed with something called “Gen Syndrome”? (My own made up illness). He’s basically still an alpha but off the Richter scale! Every Alpha trait he has is literally x10 and no normal omega can handle him. His ruts are so bad he nearly broke a girls pelvis during a one night stand, and any small disagreement with Steve, he sees as a direct challenge. He’s put a few alphas in hospital and he nearly killed a beta in a bar fight. So that’s why his parents got him tested. The doctors tell them that the only treatment isn’t in any form of medication. He needs an omega who can match his traits on a genetic scale. So, basically, a super Omega. But with Omega’s being uncommon already, the doctor tells them it’s unlikely they’ll find a match for Steve. Due to ABO laws, if Steve can’t get himself under control and ends up going feral, the government will have no choice but to step in and “put him down” if they perceive him as a threat to society. Desperate to help their son, they hear whispers through the grapevine about an underground market for Omegas. Our girl had recently been placed there after she was grabbed on her way home from work. We know neither of her parents care so no one is looking for her. They’re able to make an appointment with the seller and as soon as they walk in, Steve goes absolutely CRAZY! He smells omega above all the others and tracks her down to her cell. She’s in there absolutely terrified and shaking, and Steve rips the door off its hinges, (super strength is a symptom of his condition), and literally takes omega on the spot. He’s got her on all fours of her cell and he’s making her take his knot over and over again. She’s crying because it feels so good and she chants “Alpha” like she’s praying to her own God. Steve is just growling: “Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine.” In her ear and when his knot locks them together a final time, he bites down so hard we’re surprised he doesn’t accidentally tear her throat out.
