Liam knows Theo does listen, and he knows he’s always listening. Always knowing just what to say to help him feel more calm.

The walls of anger and fear always tumble down when the chimera starts talking, slowly embedding his thoughts into the air, helping to calm the raging flames of fear in Liam’s life.

”I’m not the one who tried to send someone underground.” Theo shifts his leg, shaking his knee, the anger at Scott taking up the vehicle, and the small space between them.

“I think we’ve established that long before this conversation. Why did you take so long? I thought you did something you couldn’t take back.” Liam breathes, sucking air into his mouth and puffing up his chest to keep the charade going that he’s upset, even when he’s not.

He’s hurt he was left to wait until the early hours of the morning for Theo to come find him.

“I’m not reactive Liam. I’m proactive and I don’t waste my time with things until I know I can come out on top.” Theo touches his shoulder, swiping down his neck and holding his gaze, as Liam swallows his fears down with the utmost confidence that he’s right.

Theo most certainly did something.
