Major medical groups are proposing a change to how doctors diagnose obesity. In Tuesday's issue of The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, 58 international experts across a range of medical specialties and people with lived experience released a report proposing a new definition and diagnostic criteria for clinical obesity. They say the current medical approaches to diagnose obesity don't reliably assess an individual's health.  The international Commission on Clinical Obesity which proposed the new definitions called it a nuanced approach. Their report includes 18 diagnostic criteria for clinical obesity in adults and 13 criteria for children and adolescents.

The Hair Wax
Tumblr media
As you stroll towards the inviting embrace of the beach, the warm sun kissing your skin, you notice a hulking figure standing by the shoreline. His beard is like a wild forest, untamed and thick, obscuring his face features. His hair, a dark mane, cascading down his muscular back. Intrigued, you decide to approach him despite the uncanny vibe he exudes.
"Hey little man," he says, his voice like gravel over velvet, "you look like you could use some help." You feel a twinge of annoyance at his observation. True, you're not the most muscular or tall, but who is he to judge?
"What do you want?" you reply, crossing your arms over your slightly chubby belly.
The mysterious man holds out a canister, "This is hair wax, my friend. It's not just any hair wax. It's special. Go ahead, try it."
You're skeptical but can't resist the urge to engage. "Why would I need hair wax at the beach?"
The man, who introduces himself as Viktor, laughs heartily, "Ah, you're a smart one. But trust me, this isn't your ordinary beach day. Try it, young man. It's like nothing you've ever felt before."
With a shrug, you take the canister, curious about the claim. You scoop out a dollop with your fingers and spread it through your hair. It's sticky but smells faintly of the ocean, a scent that's both calming and invigorating. "It's... different," you admit.
Viktor's grin widens, revealing a set of teeth as gleaming as the sun reflecting off the waves. "Good, good," he says, patting you on the shoulder, a gesture that feels surprisingly warm and firm. "Remember, this isn't for everyone. But for you, it's perfect."
You nod, not really understanding what he means, but eager to get to the beach. "Thanks, I guess," you murmur before turning away. As you walk towards the shore, you can't shake the feeling of his eyes on you, watching. You look back over your shoulder, but the spot where he stood is now empty. A slight shiver runs down your spine. Maybe he was just a weird beach vendor. You shake off the odd encounter and focus on the crashing waves ahead.
Setting up your towel and umbrella, you lay down to soak in some sun. You feel the sand warm beneath you and the gentle caress of the breeze. But then, something strange happens. Your head starts to itch, not just a little but an intense, overwhelming itch. You scratch vigorously, trying to ignore it. But it doesn't go away. It gets stronger.
Suddenly, you realize your belly is shrinking! Your skin tightens as the extra padding of fat vanishes. Your arms bulge as muscles grow beneath your skin. Your chest puffs up, pushing against your tank top. You see your biceps and triceps popping out, giving you a look that's both surprising and exhilarating. The neckline of your shirt stretches as your shoulders and traps balloon.
You stand up, feeling a strange power surging through you. Your legs, once average, are now thick pillars of power. Your calves bulge like rocks, making you feel like you could run for miles. And your feet... they're bigger! You look down to find them swelling in your flip flops, which now seem so tiny. You rip them off, feeling the sand under your now massive soles.
Panic sets in as you realize your shorts are getting tight, really tight. You try to pull them down, but they cling to your growing thighs like a second skin. And that bulge in the front... it's definitely not a disease. No, it's something else entirely. You look around, hoping nobody's noticed your sudden transformation. Your shoulders and lats bursting out from the sides, your back muscles rippling like waves under your skin.
You touch your jaw and feel it hardening, growing more defined. Your shoulders widen, making your posture more assertive. People are staring, but instead of feeling embarrassed, you're filled with a newfound confidence. You flex your arms and watch in awe as the veins pop out, your biceps and triceps swelling like they're fighting to escape their new, tightly wrapped home. You're not just a regular Joe anymore; you're becoming a beast!
You start to strut down the beach, feeling the power of an alpha male. Your voice drops to a commanding bass, making heads turn. You're no longer the shy guy hiding in the corner; you're the center of attention. You want to show off this new body, to make everyone see what you've become. The hair wax had done something to you, something incredible. You're not just stronger now; you're sexier, more dominant. You are an ALPHA.

Beach wish
At the beach, Dan, a confident older man in a green Speedo, meets Chris, a self-conscious young bodybuilder also wearing the same color. After an unexpected magical transformation, they switch bodies, gaining newfound confidence and physique. Embracing their new bodies and each other, they leave the beach together as a happy couple, excited for their future.
Tumblr media
On a sunny day, Dan, an obese man in his late sixties, was at the beach, his belly protruding from his green Speedo briefs. He was savoring the day with a broad smile.
Tumblr media
Chris, a young bodybuilder also in green Speedos, was at the same beach. He was taking photos, showing off his muscles, but lacked the confidence Dan seemed to have.
Tumblr media
Chris approached Dan, curious about his confidence. 'How do you wear that Speedo with so much confidence?' he asked. Dan laughed, slapping his belly, 'It takes years to build up this much confidence.'
Chris wished he had Dan's confidence, confessing how exposed he felt in his Speedos. Dan assured him he looked great, and they both laughed, not knowing a surprise awaited them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Dan left, he felt unusual. He was getting younger, losing weight rapidly. Looking at his reflection in the car mirror, he was shocked to see a young, skinny man.
Meanwhile, Chris was becoming older and fatter with each photo, yet growing more confident. He soon realized his body was heavier. Seeing his photos, he was shocked to find himself aged.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris saw a young man running towards him. It was Dan, now slim. They both realized their wishes had come true in an unexpected way. They decided to swap their Speedos for a better fit.
Post the swap, they shared a laugh, surprisingly comfortable in their new bodies. They admired each other's transformation, and a spark was ignited between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They left the beach together, deciding to explore this newfound bond. They became boyfriends, living together and embracing their new bodies with the same confidence they admired in each other.
Their lives took an unexpected turn that day at the beach, but they wouldn't have it any other way. They found love and confidence in each other, living happily in their new reality.

I want to take you away somewhere, cut off contact with the world for awhile. I want to spend that time feeding you rich, decadent meals and letting you do your favorite things - movies, video games, long naps, whatever you enjoy - and of course ending every day with beautiful, passionate fucking. After several months, I'll take you back home. You won't be unrecognizable, but your transformation will be evident: no longer the twink you once were, but now a beautiful, fattened, well-fucked fatboy. And it's not over, of course. You introduce me as your new boyfriend. Your friends and family are taken aback a bit, of course - your new boyfriend is more than twice your age, old enough to be your dad! - but they'll get used to it when they see how princely you're being treated. But they'll notice something else, too: I'm a bit handsy, a bit pushy. When we're out to dinner, I order for you, and seem to order a lot. I pat your belly and your butt around them, showing a bit of pride, and a bit of ownership over how you've grown. You're oblivious to this, of course. You've come to enjoy the feeling of being full, of being fucked so regularly that your ass is used to being a bit sore. You've also grown used to being so pampered and so taken care of that when you see me you feel nothing but love and desire. A few years go by. You've blossomed so beautifully. Out to dinner one night, you're surprised when I get on one knee and ask you to marry me. You accept right away, of course. Again, your friends and family are a bit unnerved - their son in their 20s is marrying someone now nearing retirement age. They whisper, too, about how you've changed, how the svelte boy of his teens is now a lazy, pampered obese husband of a man who could be his dad. But your joy is too much for them to ignore, so they're happy. But now as happy as you. You've changed so much. You're fat, you're lazy, you don't have to lift a finger, but you radiate joy in your new life. We build a life together, of course: long vacations, big meals, wonderful memories. You don't fly much - you're too fat to do so comfortably - so we take cruises and long car rides. We start a family, raising a big pack of kiddos. You're the stay-at-home dad, and while you're perhaps not as mobile with them, you're a big hit at Christmastime as Santa. As the kids grow older, people find our situation a bit odd: a young morbidly obese dad and his retired husband. Yet we dote on our kids - you don't need to work, of course, and I'm retired - and create a loving, if unconventional home. But of course I continue to dote on you. After the kids go to bed, I go to town, feeding you big meals after midnight. As I've gotten older, my libido has only increased, so our lovemaking is long and passionate and intense. I monitor your health religiously. For being as fat as you are, you're remarkably healthy. But of course, things take their toll. But I'm there to support you all the way. You're now approaching your 40th birthday. It's a life you never would've imagined for yourself at 20, but it's a beautiful, weird, fat life.
Thoughts?
I love this so much!! I'll be so fat and happy. I love getting pampered wish you could make it a reality ;)

Ramon Antonio Vargas at The Guardian:
Kamala Harris on Saturday released a report on her health and medical history which found that “she possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the presidency” if voters elect her in November. A senior aide to Harris, 59, said the vice-president’s advisers viewed the publication of the health report and medical history as an opportunity to call attention to questions about the Republican White House nominee Donald Trump’s physical fitness and mental acuity. The 78-year-old Trump would be the oldest president elected if Americans give him a second term in the Oval Office. Saturday’s report – in the form of a two-page letter from the vice-president’s physician, Joshua Simmons – described Harris as being in “excellent health” and asserted that her medical history was notable for seasonal allergies and hives. Harris manages those conditions with over-the-counter medications such as Allegra, Atrovent nasal spray and Pataday eye drops, and she has also been on allergen immunotherapy for three years, the letter said.
Otherwise, Harris is mildly nearsighted and wears corrective contact lenses as a result, had abdominal surgery when she was three years old and has a maternal history of colon cancer. “She has no personal history of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiac disease, pulmonary disease, neurological disorders, cancer or osteoporosis,” said the letter from Simmons, who added that the vice-president’s most recent physical examination in April was “unremarkable”. The statement on Harris’s health came on Saturday as Trump has become increasingly incoherent at campaign rallies, something the Guardian US reported on earlier in October. He has been slurring, stumbling over his words, hurling expletives – and showing signs of cognitive decline consistent with someone approaching his 80s, according to medical experts.
Recent speeches have seen him rant about topics ranging from his purportedly “beautiful” body to “a million Rambos” in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Harris campaign aides pointed to Trump’s backing out of an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes that the vice-president granted and his refusal to debate her again after their 10 September face-off. They argue that the former president is “avoiding public scrutiny” and giving voters “the impression … that he has something to hide and may not be up for the job”. “Contrast her age and vitality with his,” the senior aide to Harris, 59, said early on Saturday. Trump has repeatedly declined to release detailed information about his health during his public life. For instance, before winning the White House in 2016, he only offered a four-paragraph letter from his personal doctor which bragged that Trump would be “the healthiest person ever elected to the presidency”, as the New York Times recently reported.
Trump’s first physical as president resulted in perhaps the most detailed overview of his health to date. According to the Times, the physical flagged “worryingly high” cholesterol and a body mass index that left him 0.1 points below the threshold for medical obesity. Nonetheless, in a statement on Saturday, a Trump campaign spokesperson claimed the former president regularly distributed medical updates and that all “have concluded he is in perfect and excellent health to be commander in chief”. “It is said [Harris] does not have the stamina of … Trump,” the campaign spokesperson’s statement also said. Questions over whether he was too enfeebled forced Joe Biden to halt his bid for re-election to the presidency during the summer. The 81-year-old Democrat dropped out of a rematch with Trump on 21 July and endorsed Harris to succeed him.
Kamala Harris releases her medical report, reveals that she is in an excellent health state.
Dementia DonOld, however, has yet to release his, and he has a massive cognitive and mental decline.

Video recommendation
Hello! I recommend you guys watch Mickey Atkins’ (therapist, social worker, fat activist, she/they) video called Diets & Weight Stigma are Making You Mentally Ill | Therapist Talks Fat Liberation on Youtube.
Here’s why I think you will benefit from this video:
The video helps you question the idea of weight in relation to health. It serves to show health as a multifaceted concept, which weight is only a small part of. The video acknowledges that weight shame is interconnected to other forms of discrimination such as racism and ableism.
Atkins has collected a lot of research to disprove current ideas of fatness in relation to unwellness, but also reminds us that even if fatness was unhealthy, fat people should still be treated equally. There’s also a Google Docs linked to the description of the video, where you can find studies on the topic and educate yourself further.
Topics of the video include e.g:
BMI’s creation, how it was inaccurate from the start, and what it should be used for instead.
Weight cycling and its effects on health.
A brief discussion on eating disorders in relation to e.g weight cycling.
Mentions of how capitalism benefits from weight shame.
Obesity paradox
How ”calories in, calories out” is not accurate in any way.
Discussion of the health at every size - approach.
One reoccurent theme of the video is to be critical of research and the medical community when it comes to fat bodies, because there is a lot of bias in the medical community. There is a brief talk on the video about how some research on fat bodies has been sponsored by Weight Watchers or the diet industry.
All in all, I think the video is an informative watch even if you have read a lot of books on the topic already (such as Unshrinking by Kate Manne, What We Don’t Talk About When We Talk About Fat by Aubrey Gordon, Body of Truth by Harriet Brown, etc.). There is some information that was brand new to me, and regardless, it’s always good to see other fat people fighting against fatphobia. Especially when they are mental health professionals.
Anyway, have a lovely day all!

How to Repair the Planet? One Answer Might Be Hiding in Plain Sight. (New York Times)
Yes, yes and another triple yes to this premise of this article: we can address the various global crises facing us by looking at them "holistically" rather than as separate silos. I've been harping on this since I started this blog: deal with the "traditional" environmental issues, such as the collapse of biodiversity, properly, and simultaneously we might also be dealing with the newer and evolving climate crisis issues. All part of one, instead of separate kingdoms that benefit academia rather than the rest of us.
Excerpt from this New York Times story:
Sometimes, human needs can make problems like climate change and biodiversity collapse seem insurmountable. The world still relies on fossil fuels that are dangerously heating the planet. People need to eat, but agriculture is a top driver of biodiversity loss.
But what if we’re looking at those problems the wrong way? What if we tackled them as a whole, instead of individually?
A landmark assessment, commissioned by 147 countries and made public on Tuesday, offers the most comprehensive answer to date, examining the sometimes dizzying interconnections among biodiversity, climate change, food, water and health.
“Our current approaches to dealing with these crises have tended to be fragmented or siloed,” said Paula Harrison, a co-chair of the assessment and an environmental scientist who focuses on land and water modeling at the UK Center for Ecology & Hydrology, a research organization. “That’s led to inefficiencies and has often been counterproductive.”
The report, by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, an independent panel that advises governments on biodiversity issues, focuses heavily on solutions. It includes scores of potential interventions along with their cascading effects. For example, the authors note that efforts like incorporating prairie strips, areas of native vegetation amid crop rows, or strategically locating trees on farmland can help with biodiversity, food production, human well-being, water quality and climate change all at once.
Not all situations will have multiple wins. Often, negative consequences are unavoidable. But people should be aware of the trade-offs and make them deliberately, from national governments all the way to local communities, the authors said.
“Right now, we don’t take account of a lot of the trade-offs,” said Pamela McElwee, also a co-chair of the assessment and a professor of human ecology at Rutgers University. “And so, they get passed on to somebody else.”
Overlooked costs to biodiversity, climate, water and health from the fossil fuel, agriculture and fisheries sectors were estimated at $10 trillion to $25 trillion per year. Negative health consequences were especially costly, Dr. McElwee said. For instance, she pointed to the nine million people a year who die from air pollution, and the rise in obesity and diabetes because of unhealthy diets that also harm biodiversity and contribute to climate change.

The greatest king
In a distant land far away, ruled King Eustace, beloved by his people and presiding over a prosperous and safe country. The king, once a handsome and muscular man in his youth, had now grown older and his girth had expanded to become a symbol of status. With his seemingly limitless wealth, he indulged in a lavish lifestyle filled with extravagant parties sumpt, rich food, and exquisite wines in his grand castle.
Tumblr media
Having lost his wife during childbirth, King Eustace was left with only one heir, his son Reginald. The crown prince, now a handsome young man of eighteen, had spent his formative years exploring the outskirts of the kingdom, honing his physique and training with the armies. Like his father, Reginald possessed a kind and honest heart, endearing him to both the soldiers and the common folk.
Tumblr media
By the time Reginald reached the age of twenty-five, news reached the castle of an invasion along the borders. A letter from a loyal servant urged the prince to take action, to defend their land against the impending threat. Concern filled the hearts of all, including the king who wished for his son to remain safe within the castle walls. However, heedless of his father's worries, Reginald left for the borders to face the enemy.
Miraculously, Reginald's skills on the battlefield brought about a victorious outcome. The enemy was vanquished, and the kingdom expanded as its borders grew. In order to maintain peace and prevent further conflict, Reginald pursued unconventional methods. He ensured that the soldiers were kept content with lavish parties, decadent foods, and plentiful wine. Reunions with their families were organized, and training was gradually abandoned. The soldiers grew sluggish and lazy, their once lean and agile bodies slowly succumbing to weight gain. Many opted to leave the army behind. They got a som of money if they would never return to the army.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The defeated king of the infiltrating country approached Reginald with an offer: to marry his daughter and rule alongside her as a united force. King Eustace, mulling over the proposal, ultimately agreed to ally through marriage, unaware of the brewing discontent among certain factions within the kingdom.
Those who opposed the union sought to eliminate the threat posed by the new queen and her influence over King Eustace. Poisoned by these dissenters, the beloved king met his untimely demise. The mantle of rulership fell upon Reginald, who found himself consumed by paranoia.
Tumblr media
Fearful of falling victim to the same fate, he appointed one of his servants as a royal tester. This young man, burdened with the responsibility of ensuring the king's meals were safe, gradually gained from weight the excessive and constant feasting. Week after week, he required new clothes to accommodate his expanding size.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reginald himself did not escape the consequences of his sedentary lifestyle. Lacking the time for physical exercise and consumed by the demands of ruling, he too, experienced a steady increase in weight. The court, reveling in the pleasures of extravagant feasts, encouraged this newfound heftiness. Above all, the new queen found solace and delight in the presence of a corpulent king.
Tumblr media
As the years passed, Reginald indulged himself to the point of excess. The people adored him more with each passing day, praising his greatness as he continued to grow in size. His wife, ever attentive to his needs, surrounded him with devoted servants who urged him to consume his meals.
Tumblr media
After years of uninhibited indulgence, Reginald truly became the greatest king the land had ever known, both in stature and in the love he received from his subjects. The kingdom prospered, its people relishing in the reign of a benevolent, albeit obese, ruler.

What’s really hot is your belly is blowing up the most, eventually your body will have to distribute the excess to different areas, which it has slightly, but that belly will never not grow the more pounds you put on
for the longest time I had a mostly skinny body with just a little soft pooch on my belly and a little extra meat on my thighs. As I approached obesity though, my body got so overwhelmed by fat that it started putting it everywhere: my face and neck, my arms, even my fingers got chubby enough that I had to start wearing rings on different fingers. But through it all, the disproportionate majority of any new fat I pack on goes directly to my gut, and I fucking love it.

I just stumbled on an article by film professor Caetlin Benson-Allott called "The Queer Fat of Philip Seymour Hoffman," originally published in the book Millennial Masculinity: Men in Contemporary American Cinema and it is FASCINATING. Here's an excerpt that lays out her basic thesis:
In these films, the actor manipulates his physical breadth and weight as well as his gestural scale to draw the viewer’s attention to how compulsory heterosexuality marginalizes certain lives and bodies. These physical techniques help Hoffman visually exceed the fat male stereotypes of his early career, stereotypes that coded his body as immoderate, less than masculine, and thus most suited for minor roles, comedic turns, and pathetic losers. In such cases, fat male stereotypes rely on stock meanings attached to the actor’s stockier build. Hoffman transcends these roles with nuances of movement and deft exploitations of gesture and in so doing illuminates the process through which overweight male bodies are made unintelligible by a filmic culture that denigrates fat genders even among the gender and sexual alterities that it occasionally exploits.
Hoffman’s physical acting exemplifies the gendered as well as sexual potential of gesture and performance, for he uses his corpulence to visually refuse the traditional masculine-feminine gender binary and dramatize orientations and physical expressions of the body otherwise excluded from heteronormative American cinema... In each [film], he offers another version of what has remained a pale, overweight male body... As James Lipton notes, these relentlessly physical performances suggest that “Philip Seymour Hoffman may be the archetypal sex symbol of our time” in that he gestures toward new approaches to representation for marginalized sexualities and genders.
She goes into a deeper analysis of PSH's roles in Twister, Boogie Nights, and Mission: Impossible III, mentioning a few other performances throughout and focusing on how he used his body to challenge cinema's traditional ideas about fat male bodies and sexuality.
On his role as Dusty in Twister:
Hoffman must still perform the invisibility traditionally associated with fat bodies on-screen or risk violating Twister’s already tenuous verisimilitude. The genius of Hoffman’s performance is that he manages to do both by exploiting the cultural unintelligibility of obesity; he uses the spectator’s own tendency to dismiss fat men to camouflage Dusty’s narrative centrality. Because Hoffman is the only overweight actor in this film, his girth emphasizes Dusty’s position as the film’s fool, which helps disguise his formulaic responsibilities. Hoffman’s weight opens up a dramatic tradition through which he can exacerbate his character’s hedonistic qualities and conceal his intelligence and manipulative capacity. By making his body both overly visible and easily overlooked, Hoffman obscures Dusty’s generic necessity.
Tumblr media
On Scotty J in Boogie Nights:
Hoffman orients Scotty’s physical expression of his sexuality around his belly. Because Scotty is written as inarticulate and suffering from unspeakable desires, Hoffman uses his body, specifically his largest and perhaps least mentionable feature, to communicate Scotty’s unmentionable orientation. Hoffman thus borrows a technique from gay male fat pornography and “displaces erotic pleasures [or their symbolic representation] from the genitals and disperses it to other parts of the body, thereby reconfiguring what can count as a pleasurable body.”
Tumblr media
On Mission: Impossible III:
In contrast with Tom Cruise’s strong jaw and hard muscles, Hoffman’s relaxed flesh becomes a manifestation of his confidence; Hunt is tense, but Davian is at ease. This lack of visible affect exempts Davian from the tradition of fat villains whose bodies incarnate their overabundance of desire, appetite, or greed. His smooth contours and the reflection of light off the broad planes of his golden skin allow Davian to transcend associations of his body with appetite as he refuses to show interest in Hunt’s interrogation or subsequent threats to his mortality. Hoffman’s elimination of gesture thus helps Davian become a new kind of fat villain, one whose body suggests a lack of interest in the physical world rather than an excess thereof.
Tumblr media
Pleaseee seek out this article if you have any interest in Phil's work and physicality—it's one of the most detailed and intriguing pieces I've ever read on him and I'd loveeee to talk about it, the good and the bad. You can download the PDF for free on academia.edu but if anyone has a problem getting it... just DM me lol. Wrapping this up with one excerpt from the conclusion bc I know Phil has taught ME a lot about "being in one's body," as the author says, so I love seeing that in print:
Hoffman’s body offers a new vision of male embodiment outside compulsory heterosexuality, an alternative use of the flesh we might even consider queer. Kathleen LeBesco has observed that the queer and fat liberation movements share many similar projects, but watching Philip Seymour Hoffman suggests that in some cases fat is queer... [Hoffman's] movements propose a new way of being in one’s body, for even within the highly structured heterosexual order of Hollywood cinema, Hoffman helps us envision the body outside normalizing gender strictures.

Patrick Stump x Gyatt <3
Patrick looked back at his behind. His butt was never that big, which quickly became one of his biggest insecurities.
“Patrick?”, Pete asked walking in on Patrick staring at the mirror.
Patrick looked down embarrassedly. Pete sighed and shook his head.
“Is it your butt again?”, he asked.
Patrick nodded shyly, eyes casted to the ground.
Pete frowned and walked up to the insecure boy. “Patrick, it’s okay to have level 1 gyatt. You’re still the same Patrick everyone knows and loves..”
As much as Patrick wanted to believe what Pete said was true, the voice in his head kept talking down on him.
That was, until the year 2005.
Patrick was going through a breakup with his (now ex)boyfriend Pete, and it felt like none was going well in his life. He was lonely and his motivation started to decrease.. he began eating a lot, gaining some weight in the process.
Now, he wasn’t obese, but he certainly was chubby.
He decided it was time to go to bed at around 1am. He walked out of the living room sadly, approaching his room.
And that’s when he saw it.
The true love of his life.
His ass finally became fat! He was happy!
It was the first time he smiled that widely and genuinely in months. He grinned and continued checking himself out in the mirror.
He finally stopped crying and fell into a deep and comfortable slumber.
The next day, he wore the tightest pants (that could still fit because of his big butt) and decided to go on a walk.
The day was sunny, the birds were singing, the sun was shining.. but to his luck, on his way to the cafe, he came across his ex, Pete.
Pete’s mouth was agape. He had no words.
Patrick stopped walking and just stood awkwardly in front of Pete.
“..t- turn around…”, Pete managed to whisper. Patrick nodded and turned around, putting his hands on his back, flexing the glory of his butt. Pete audibly gasped.
“Patrick, you got the level 1million gyatt?!?!?!?!?!”, Pete exclaimed in pure shock and amazement. Patrick grinned confidently.
“Indeed I did, Pete. Before you beg for me to come back, I found a new love of my life; this slaymazing gyatt of mine. And you can leave me all you want, but this ultimate butt of mine will never leave. Think before you decide to break someone’s heart, Pete.” Pete just stood there thinking about what a mistake he had made, as Patrick walked away like the girlboss queen he is.

Happy New Year!
I wrote 3 stories for the new year theme. This one won out. Enjoy!
The banquet hall at the palace was filled with guests on New Year's Eve. The raucous laughter and joy echoed off the deep cherry wood walls of the large room. The light from the crystal chandeliers made the room warm and inviting, despite the huge space. Everyone was socializing except for the prince, who sat in his bariatric wheelchair in the corner by one of the windows. His hand held a glass of whiskey, the fat of his fingers enveloping it and warming it quicker than he would like.
He didn't enjoy being around people, but being present at this event was a requirement. He disassociated as he looked out the window on to the large garden area with sparkling bulb lights filling the hedges and fountains. No one ever approached him during these events, and he wasn't sure if it was his title as Prince causing the intimidation or his extreme obesity. But he preferred the lack of socialization so he didn't care either way.
A server noticed his glass of whiskey was getting low, so they delivered another one and placed it on the small table by his side. He nodded in thanks and continued his reverie. Time began to pass again, without him noticing. His mind was so distant and the noise of the hall was so loud and chaotic, he didn't notice the young lady who approached him, despite the distinguishing sound of her heels clicking towards him against the marble floor. She stood next to him and cleared her throat. It was enough to finally get his attention. He seemed to jolt awake from a dream, then looked up at her in confusion. Her red lips curled into a smile and she said, "Hello, Your Highness." As she bowed her head in respect.
His strong Leondian accent was heavy in his deep voice as he said, "Hello."
She gestured to a chair next to the table his wheelchair was parked at. He extended his hand to welcome her to sit down, not sure why she was trying to socialize with him - no one else ever tried before, so he wasn't sure what she wanted from him. She sat and he looked at her suspiciously. She placed her drink on the table and said, "This is my first time here at the palace; your cousin Phineas invited me. I wanted to thank you for the party."
He grunted quietly and said, "We do this every year. I have to attend and it's not exactly fun for me."
She was surprised by his admission. It was probably the alcohol that made him brave enough to admit his annoyance at the forced socialization. She thought for a second, trying to find the right words to respond. Then she said, "You're royalty. I would think you wouldn't have to attend an event if you didn't want to."
He smirked for a moment and chuckled as he replied, "You'd think that... but I suppose it's my job to be at these events. The title is also a responsibility."
He looked down at himself. His belly was tucked into his black button down shirt, but it still filled up his lap. His free hand cupped the fat of the side of his stomach and he continued, "I'm sure I'd enjoy these events more if I wasn't so restricted by my size."
Her eyebrows furrowed in sympathetic concern, but she didn't want to force the subject, so she changed the topic by looking at her watch and saying, "Well, we have less than an hour until midnight, so I assume you won't have to stay here too much longer."
He smiled and said, "Yes, I've been counting down until midnight - but moreso in anticipation of being able to return to my bed, rather than excitement for the new year."
She asked, "Do you mind if I keep you company? Or do you prefer your solitude?"
He thought for a second, then to his own surprise, said, "You can stay."
"Thank you." She replied.
He placed his empty whisky glass on the table and grabbed a new one the server had dropped off a few minutes before. Taking a big gulp, he questioned her presence again, "You know, people don't usually talk to me. Dare I ask why YOU are?"
She answered, "I'm not from Leondia. In fact, this is my first time visiting the country. And since I know your cousin, I figured I'd introduce myself."
He nodded, accepting the answer.
The hour passed quickly as the two of them spoke. They covered various political topics, hobbies, and interests. A few more drinks were consumed, and the two of them seemed to be in their own little world, despite being surrounded by hundreds of party goers. Suddenly they heard everyone shouting down the seconds to the new year. TEN... NINE...
She stared into his eyes, with gentle interest.
EIGHT... SEVEN...
He looked back at her, taking in her beauty that he was trying to ignore the last hour.
SIX... FIVE...
She took his hand in hers, surprised by the softness of the fat enveloping them.
FOUR... THREE...
They both placed their drinks on the table.
TWO... ONE...!
She leaned over his belly, planting her lips on his. She could feel the girth of his body almost pushing her away. The kiss filled them both with a desire neither knew they had.
The room erupted in joyful celebration as the balloons and confetti attached to the ceiling released upon the guests. They unlocked their lips and he stared at her in pleasurable surprise.
Phineas approached, given that she was his guest. He looked disturbed that she was sitting with the Prince. He grabbed her hand and said, "come on, let's dance."
Trying to encourage her to leave the Prince's side. She stood and looked back at the gigantic man she had opened the new year with. He seemed disappointed that she was leaving. But before she walked away, she asked, "Could I see you again?"
The Prince smiled, the dimples in his fat cheeks appearing. He replied, "I would like that."
They both smiled at each other as Phineas pulled her away towards the rest of the party.
The Prince motioned a servant over and whispered, "I'd like to leave now, please."
They unlocked the wheels of his chair and rolled him away from the party to the elevator, and eventually into his bed chamber.
After being undressed and helped into his bed, the servant left. He lay there with a new sexual desire he had never felt before. He could hear the party through his windows, but was relieved he was alone. He felt a stirring between his legs, and his instinct led his hand underneath the fat of his belly. He struggled to reach his throbbing manhood, grunting in effort to satisfy himself, but unable to reach. A scream of annoyance escaped his lips. He tried to roll himself as much as he could, with his belly spilling to the side. The pad of fat surrounding his penis prevented any contact. His frustration erupted into anger and he grabbed a glass next to his bed. Another primal scream erupted from him as he threw the glass against the wall. It shattered against the wood and tears fell down his face. Knowing sleep was his only option, he cried until unconsciousness finally released him from his misery. His dreams were filled with the beautiful young woman from the party, and he finally cummed with the fantasy of her riding him - grabbing his belly for leverage, teasing his stretch marks with her long nails. But he wouldn't realize until he awoke, with the disappointing reality of being unable to even clean himself.

Hi typology Tumblr 😮‍💨
It has gotten to the very sad point to where I genuinely can not type myself in any typology system so I wrote a little paragraph about me I apologize as it is all over the place but I did the best I could 🫠 if anyone is willing to help type me I’ll be more than appreciative- unfortunately I can’t offer much in return, maybe a follow and like spam? But thank you for reading this fair anyway and feel free to use anything I said in this intro to type me as well
Me: Okay so when I first meet someone- I’m very shy but polite. I give compliments if I’m trying to make friends with the person I’m talking to. Normally I like to be approached first
With acquaintances I’m myself but I dial down just a tad bit. My personality also adjust to the people I’m around with acquaintances.
With close friends I can be kinda loud but I’m very friendly.
Across all three scenarios I’m very sarcastic but I remain polite depending on how close we are.
When I’m by myself I enjoy listening to music while scrolling on Pinterest or TikTok. I do have an eye for aesthetics. I occasionally write poetry. I also can daydream when I’m alone. When I’m with others I am very practical and grounded and in the moment. When I’m with myself in in my mind. I am EXTREMELY passionate and it can sometimes come off as rudeness. I am also very sensitive and don’t take well to criticism of any kind Real life scenarios I have been in relating to me being passionate to my values- I value respecting teachers not only because they want the best for the class but because it helps the class flow better and acting out is honestly annoying so when push comes to shove I will say something like “Respectfully, shut the fuck up” but I just want the class to flow slowly
Also- I highly value respecting boundaries and my ex friend did cross one of my boundaries before so I did cuss her out on her birthday and then ghosted her but like it’s not rlly even my fault fr
Also I can get to work and be extremely serious when need be but I often procrastinate. I also really like material things. I have a fear of fatal accidents and things like getting kidnapped but I’m not a skeptical person. I also have a very playful personality with my friends. I’m also learning a foreign language and enjoy it. I also get emotional sometimes. I could see a video of a new singer living paycheck to paycheck and their video only has one like and it breaks my heart. I could see an overweight dog and my heart breaks because obesity in dogs is fatal and that poor baby wasn’t even trying to get fat. In response I get enraged with the owner/ who’s responsible. Sometimes I get mad at the person who’s also the victim because you know that artistic careers barely make anything but you chose it anyway now I’m sad for you but you brought the life upon yourself Stress- under stress I get extremely nervous however I try my best to rise to the occasion
Fear- painful / undesirable death, experiencing any traumatic event, poor quality of life
Desire- to be happy , be everyone’s favorite
1) I’m focused on defending myself more than I’m focusing on defending others but I’ll say something if I see something 🤷‍♀️
2) I value my autonomy but I will not hesitate to get other options. Following their advice tho might be a little diff
Authority- I to be in those positions. Loathe rude, stuck up, money centered , greedy, selfish authoritarians
Morals- very important. Would die on a hill for my morals. I keep an open mind to everything but my values and morals and truly do believe that they are correct
Success- in the sense of e3s I think fame, riches , etc but for me success is not living paycheck to paycheck, good social group, good career
Anger- I tend to be ready to express it but u funny way to get myself in trouble so I hold back sometimes. BIG BIG BIG EMPHASIS ON SOMETIMES
Opinions on certain things - Philosophy- very overrated. It’s glamorized thought process
Politics - the vast majority of politicians running shouldn’t be
Practicality- good to have
Intellectual- also good to have
Physically- keep yourself in shape ig 🤷‍♀️
Home and school life - Home- very tense, poverty stricken, argumentative, very chaotic
School- more relaxed, pressure on self , feeling not wanted by peers and feeling like I’m annoying
Songs I relate to - groan by daisy and the scouts, ride by Lana Del Rey, watercolor eyes by Lana Del Rey

Obesity: The Science, Culture, and Politics of Fatness in America
In Fall 2023, students enrolled in Dr. Margot Finn's course on the science, culture, and politics of obesity worked in groups to research and write captions for food history materials.
Most of these items were from the Special Collections Research Center's Janice Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive.
These were featured on the Shapiro Library Screens in Bert's Study Lounge.
Tumblr media
M. L. Holbrook, Eating for Strength (New York, M. L. Holbrook & co. [c1888]). Library of Congress.
The 1888 edition of Eating for Strength, a popular 19th century work on diet written by Martin Luther Holbrook approaches food in a scientific manner, outlining the dietary needs of various classes of people and looking at the healthfulness of various foods. This book includes information about food and diet in relation to health and work, together with several hundred recipes for different foods and drinks. All of these tables illustrate the protein, carbohydrate, and fat content of some of the most common foods that characterized the diets of that era. This underscores how even over 100 years ago, these three macronutrients were seen as important to monitor in order to curb obesity.

Keeping Your Weight Down (Westfield, N.Y. : Welch Grape Juice Co., [1921?]). Janie Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive.
Published by Welch Juice Company in 1921, this recipe book called Keeping Your Weight Down suggests that Welch's Grape Juice can aid in weight maintenance, and emphasizes its importance in influencing desired health benefits with their beverage. The monochrome-purple book cover showcases an idealized “thin” model covered in loose night clothing, examining a weight scale. Inside, “Pudding and Desserts” recipes are listed in sections with the usage of Welch brand ingredients. Framing grapes as dessert, often eliminated in dieting practices, allows for the luxury of sweets within the strictures of losing weight.

Ruth West, Stop Dieting! Start Losing! (New York : E.P. Dutton & Company, Inc., 1956.). Janice Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive.
Although Ruth West’s Stop Dieting! Start Losing! was a dieting recipe book published in 1956, the artifact has a startling resemblance to modern attitudes about weight, despite the huge body of research conducted on obesity since this time. Today, It’s easy to laugh at slogans like “how to lose 2 to 3 pounds a week” and “16 foods for sex appeal and vitality,” but how different are these claims from those we hear today from diet magazines, social media and even our own medical professionals? Is the rigor of evidence from then to now all that different?

The UK’s first professor of Black studies is facing a criminal investigation over a video in which he called right-wing commentator Calvin Robinson a “house n*gro”.
Professor Kehinde Andrews was visited by three police officers at his Birmingham home on Wednesday morning and invited to attend a voluntary interview.
In a video posted online in June, the academic argued that terms such as ‘coconut’, ‘house n*gro’, ‘c**n’ and ‘Uncle Tom’ are “vital expressions of Black political thought that should be celebrated and not policed”.
But the comment Prof Andrews made about former GB News host Mr Robinson in the video has prompted a complaint to West Midlands Police.
In the video, Prof Andrews went on to explain the origins of the term: “Malcolm X popularised the idea of the ‘house n*gro’: Those people who, because of their relative privilege, relative connection to the master, tend to be deluded into believing they’re not slaves,” he said.
“On the plantation, they live in the house... get slightly better conditions; they’re not catching hell from sunup to sundown. So, because of that, house n*gro starts to identify with the master... more than the master identifies with himself.
“The point of this is to say that house n*gro’s wrong. Because they’re treated slightly better, they’re missing the point they’re still slaves. This is ‘love teaching’ from Malcolm. He’s calling out, saying ‘you are still a slave, you are still suffering from racism (...)’.
“The whole point of it is to say we’re all in the same boat, we’re all catching the same hell but you can’t see that because you’ve got the house n*gro mentality.”
When approached by The Independent, Mr Robinson declined to comment about Prof Andrews’ video and the investigation.
However, he posted on X, stating he had filed a complaint against Prof Andrews, and saying that he believed the academic was racist.
West Midlands Police told The Independent: “We’ve received a report of racist comments being posted online and we’re carrying out enquiries. There is no place for hate crime and we’ll investigate any reports we receive.”
Prof Andrews, who teaches the UK’s first undergraduate Black studies course, described the police probe as “utterly ludicrous”.
“As I go to lengths to explain in the video, ‘house n*gro’ is a political critique and has never been used as a racial slur,” he told The Independent.
“The whole point is to remind those who think they have ‘made it’ (...) that we are all still ex-slaves, colonial subjects, who will experience racism no matter how much they embrace the ‘master’ (in modern times, this would be the nation, government, etc).
“Malcolm X uses it as an anti-racist metaphor to promote resistance, which is exactly what I did in the video. The fact this is a police issue just shows how little respect there is for Black political thought.
“The terms ‘house n*gro’ and ‘field n*gro’ have a decades-long history, with countless books including their use.
“It is deeply concerning that the police would want to haul in a professor to question me about my area of expertise. This would never happen if I were white or the work I do was given the respect it deserves.
“The police have a long history of criminalising Black and brown people, now we are seeing that converge with the wider attack on Black knowledge which is being erased from university, the closure of Black courses and more.”
The investigation follows a string of cases where Black and Asian people have faced prosecution for hate crimes after using specific language to criticise other people from ethnic minority communities.
In March, The Independent first reported on the case of a Black man who was acquitted of hate crime charges after sending a raccoon emoji to Conservative MP Ben Obese-Jecty on social media. A Black HR professional was interviewed under caution for sending a GIF of Daffy Duck tap-dancing to the same politician, as first reported by The Independent in May.
Prof Andrews has said he will attend a voluntary interview later this month. The CPS has been approached for comment.
