Genuine friendly summer reminder for my fellow fat people.
We have more body than skinny people so we also contain more water and therefore need to drink more. 2 Litres is something skinny people need to drink we need more. I aim for 4 litres a day.
While any waterbased liquid is good try to not drink all 4 litres in coke or soda. I absolutley do recommend sport drinks or similar things. Fat people like us, or at least me, sweat a lot in this heat even without sport. Refill those electrolytes. Your body will thank you.
My go to drink at home is a 2 litre jug of water with just enough store bought raspberry or orange syrup that it has a taste thats not water.
Please stay hydrated in this heat and take care of your body. Its the only one you have.
(If you clown on fat people in tags/replies/comments I will hunt you for sport)

We shouldn't have to dress modesty to be respected.

✨️ Here's your yearly reminder that all bodies are swimsuit bodies ✨️
Photo description: two mirror selfies, the first of myself standing in a black one piece swimsuit. I have short, dark green curly hair. I am wearing circular black sunglasses and hold up my phone with a celestial pattern on it. I am fat, with thick thighs, cellulite, and far arms with tattoos on them. I have a beard and a small amount of chest hair.
In second photo my partner (he/him) joins me and kisses my cheek as I smile without my sunglasses on. I have small pointy eyebrows and no makeup on. He has mostly buzzed hair with bangs, all dyed magenta. He is average height while I am a little person, and he wears a black tanktop and skirt.

the existence of healthy fat people is not the reason fat people should be allowed to exist, and free of bigotry at that. it uses health as a measure of someone's rights, and health is morally neutral. it also very much sidelines fat people whose fatness DOES negatively impact their health. that's a thing that can happen, and it still doesn't mean they have an obligation to lose weight. we must accept and fight for all fat people, whether they're disabled or not.

Just so you're all aware, reblogging photos of fat people you don't know and adding tags like #fat girl #chubby #bbw #fat positivity #fat babe isn't the progressive move you think it is. I understand motivations may be good for doing this but not only do some fat people really not want their weight pointed out by strangers on the internet, but using these tags on someone's photos also opens the doors for trolls and fatphobic assholes to find & harass them.
Please just reconsider if your tags about fat people's bodies are truly necessary.

Fat people on airplanes get secretly photographed and their photos posted online for… existing?
And then people argue that it’s about health and that everything is about health.
Publishing photos of someone with the intent of bullying or harassing them, has nothing to do with health. That person has the right to be on the plane the same as you do. They likely even bought a second seat for everyone’s comfort.
Fat people do much more than enough by purchasing a second seat on a plane. The cost of seats isn’t low, and we fat people don’t own 2 bodies that would require 2 seperate seats.
Airlines could very well have a couple seats on their planes that are bigger than the rest for fat customers, or they could come up with another method for making sure that fat people don’t have to pay the price of 2 travelers.
But what’s happening is that airlines are actually shrinking their seats over time. They like the extra money they get from fat customers having to buy more seats, of course. And fat customers get blamed for everything.
The least airplanes could do is to make sure the seats fat people purchase are next to each other. After all, we don’t own two seperate bodies. Yet fat people get publicly shamed whenever news report on stories of airplanes messing up our seats.
I mean, f*ck fat people, why would they need to travel anyway? /s.
Nothing about this is about health. Everything about this is about public humiliation, oppression and profit. We fat people literally have our privacy breached because people get offended by fat people existing on planes, even if we buy extra seats. Have a lovely day y’all👋

You can’t tell how ‘healthy’ someone is just by looking at them.

thanks to ableism, heightism, and fatphobia, almost nothing is made to fit or work for my body ever. mobility aids. furniture. clothes. shoes. cars. etc. etc. if any of these do work out for me, they're usually expensive and i have a much more limited selection than abled, average height, straight sized people.
this isn't just inconvenience, either. things like furniture and shoes not being made for me causes me pain and takes a toll on my body, because i physically cant use them properly. making things fit me takes energy and money that i cant afford, but sometimes have to spend anyway. the safety measures in things like cars could injure or even kill me if i were to get in a bad accident.
being short, fat, and disabled in this society is so much harder than it has to be. it's unfair and downright dangerous that our bodies aren't being taken into account when designing almost everything around us. disabled people deserve better. fat people deserve better. people with short and tall stature deserve better.
we're just as much part of this world as everyone else, and we deserve to live in a world that acts like we exist.

Can I just say how much I love how everyone in the cast of Our Flag Means Death (both seasons 1 and 2) is just HOT AS FUCK, but like in Queer and Non Standard ways.

Being fat means having to wear a lab coat 2 or more sizes too small in a chemistry class, either because there weren’t any plus-size coats, or because your thin (average height) classmates took all the bigger-sized ones…
I get that oversized clothing feels nice, but please leave the bigger sizes for either tall people or for us fat people.
Also schools: please invest in more plus-size lab coats. Thin students love to wear them for comfort reasons, meanwhile we fat people need them.
