The reports that Israeli National Security minister Ben-Gvir is opposing a hostages for ceasefire deal in part because he believes it would help Biden and hurt Trump demonstrates how Donald Trump is very much NOT just a US problem.

It also demonstrates how anyone arguing that you shouldn't vote for Biden in order to help Palestine is either a fool, or lying.

If you’re a Christian, this is also about putting God before party and before a man. Trump is no Godly man. Liz Cheney is very much pro life, but the healthy way to reduce abortions is not to create dystopian laws. These are laws that force victims of rape and incest to carry a child. These laws also inhibit care for partial miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, and other medically necessary abortions.

Conservative Christians, we can elect Kamala Harris and advocate for taking rapists accountable, enhanced access to comprehensive sex education, access to birth control, and a better adoption system. Kamala Harris has already promised to enhance the child tax credit and reduce the cost of living so less mothers will feel they can’t care for a child. You can be deeply religious and pro life and still vote for Kamala and stop Trump.

This manufactured outrage over Biden pardoning his son is pure gaslighting. First off. If it wasn’t for the extremely lax gun laws Republicans have, with more passion than anything, protected, it wouldn’t just be a box on a form asking questions. It would be more extensive background checks. Republicans would say, ‘you do get a background check when you purchase a firearm!’. To them I would say, ‘if you have to show id multiple times to vote, maybe multiple background checks for a firearm should undergo the same scrutiny.’

How many hours, how much wasted money, effort and taxpayer resources did James Comer spend trying to find dirt on Biden, he never could. Trump was impeached, the first time, for trying to find dirt on the Bidens. None ever came up. Except that his surviving son had substance abuse problems. To which now he has cleaned up and is sober. That’s hard to do, to judge him for purchasing a firearm, that was revealed in a book Hunter wrote, and with the lack of integrity, and the cruelty of Republicans, they went after Hunter thinking, ‘he may have been under the influence when he purchased this weapon that was never used in a crime. We got him!!’ Absolutely pathetic! A sick display of a lack of moral fortitude.

PLEASE call your local representative and tell them to REJECT THE SAVE act next week. Protect voting.

Protect the voice of women, trans, and senior individuals. All of whom may have name changes or difficulty locating the correct papers of seniors.

Married women, who changed their last name, will need their passport on hand to vote. As passports cost some money, they are creating a voting barrier in this way as well.

I won't speculate as to the intent behind this tactic, or its legality under international law, as I haven't done sufficient research and don't have sufficient knowledge of either. But the choice of weapon strikes me as problematic in much the same way as landmines and cluster bombs are- ie they are highly indiscriminate, and will pose a threat to lots of other people in the area (minus maybe the risk of them lying around undetected and going off years later).

The risk of escalation also seems particularly grave here, as one of the injured is apparently the Iranian envoy to Beirut.

The US has denied any prior involvement or knowledge, and it looks like as usual, Biden's people are running around trying desperately to stop the latest round of batshittery from escalating into a full-scale regional/world war. For which they will then be accused of committing genocide and gleefully bathing in the blood of Palestinian children because they didn't do more.

I also am concerned that this is the start of a new tactic in war- I'm sure others are taking notes on the use of electronic devices as explosives, and considering how this can be used as a terror tactic.

When I was growing up, my dad was a Republican. He came from a long line of Republicans dating back to the Lincoln administration, in which one ancestor served. That died around 2000 and George W. Bush's nonsense.

Even so, I never expected to hear my dad so excited to vote for the person who's likely to be the top of the ticket now. He wanted Kamala Harris back in 2020 and he's thrilled by the thought that he's going to get to vote for her.
