Here are some predictions I have for Emmerdale for the rest of the year, if I'm being pessimistic and putting my Robert return hopes to the side... Let's see if I get any right.
Nate dies in the fire right after reuniting with Tracy and deciding to stay in Emmerdale
Losing Nate, Moira being ill and Zak's death will leave Cain in a very dark place, but eventually he'll step up for all the Dingles
The fire triggers John's army trauma, making him and Aaron grow closer
Aaron finds the Aiden Moore tags, and reacts badly, accusing John of lying about being a Sugden
John reveals that he lost Aiden in the war, making Aaron feel guilty and they bond over their losses and Aaron asks him to stay in the village or even move in with him
Zak's death or funeral will lead to Mandy's mother turning up in the village, putting a strain on Mandy's relationships with Paddy and Vinny
Caleb and Ruby will end up losing to Kim/Will/Jai and will be shunned by the Dingles again, but there is a tragedy in Ruby's past that will come out that 'changes everything'
Vinny will be there to support Belle, and Gabby won't be happy about it
Belle will spot Piper alive and eventually be reuinted with her
Victoria will tell Aaron to go for it with John and not feel guilty, because he deserves to be happy, and Robert would want that for him
Angelica returns home, being a total nightmare to everyone - especially Cathy and April
Arthur will get a new boyfriend
A bunch of Dingles return for Zak's funeral - if the show can convince the actors - otherwise they will find themselves unable to travel because of sick kids or being stuck overseas
Some big Dingle secret will also probably be revealed after Zak's death, maybe even another sibling for Cain/Sam/Belle
More health concerns for Sarah
An unplanned pregnancy for a 'lucky' lady is a given (maybe Tracy, Gabby or Ella again) and of course the threat of prison will loom over someone
Jai and Leyla pairing?
Chas and Liam continue to dance around their feelings and Ella will turn into a villain if she thinks Chas will steal her chance for happiness
Anyone have anything else?

Emmerdale stars share their hidden talents at Danny Miller's charity extravaganza
Two different Emmerdale star bands performed in support of their co-star Danny Miller's annual charity ball in Manchester
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Emmerdale stars proved they're a talented bunch - showing off their singing and musical skills to support co-star Danny Miller's big charity ball in Manchester. Emmerdale favourite Danny, along with pal Daniel Jillings, run the Once Upon A Smile charity supporting families through bereavement.
Their annual fundraising ball has become know for its star guests and surprise star turns on the stage. This year was no different, with a packed night of entertainment at The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday night.
And Danny counted on the support of his friends when they also took to the stage for some powerhouse performances.
Bradley Johnson, who plays Emmerdale's Vinny Dingle wowed the audience performing with his band The Trilogies at the start of the night. The band are known for their take on swing classics, and they wore matching gold suits as they impressed with their vocal harmonies.
Then later Bradley joined up with more of his soap co-stars in the long-running Emmerdale band. Soap legend Dominic Brunt, aka Paddy Dingle, has been leading the band for years.
The band's current incarnation is called Somewhere near Hotten - a nod to one of Emmerdale's fictional locations. And they got the audience up and dancing at the big charity event at the weekend.
While Dominic is the bass player in the band, he was joined by Katie Hill, who plays the soap's Sarah Sugden, and Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn Taylor.
Katie also had the audience in tears as she performed a stunning solo while one of the moving videos about those helped by the charity was played in the room.
The ball is organised by Danny and his fellow actor pal Daniel Jillings, who always like to spring special surprises for guests.
And at the finale of the night guests were wowed by performances from boyband 911 and Kelly Llorena.
Danny and Daniel first held their own charity event back in 2011, in memory of much-loved Emmerdale and former Corrie producer Gavin Blyth who died of cancer in 2010 aged just 41.
It would go on to inspire the duo to set up their own charity, Once Upon A Smile, offering child bereavement services across Greater Manchester.
They now have a dedicated headquarters, Sidley House in Old Trafford which opened in 2016, where youngsters can access bereavement support as well as a range of fun activities including play rooms, art workshop and a mini-cinema.

Caught up on today's episode.
It's much more bearable to watch without the stupid blue tone thoughts and repeated shots of that car rolling. Haha. And no terrible single dramatic music beats.
I do like Caleb and Nicky being included in the Faith stuff. I still don't really understand how he and Cain got on such good terms but I prefer it that way. I like Cain having a relationship with him.
It was nice to see Gabby actually get to acknowledge that she was friends with Liv. Too bad Jacob's stuck in next week's block sleeping with Victoria and couldn't acknowledge his friendship with her too. Haha. Sigh.
I really don't understand what they're trying to do with Amit long term. Like is he going to stick around and be a real presence in the village. Because he didn't actually kill Rishi so I don't feel like he's all of a sudden going to go down the serial killer route or something. I feel like the village could use a good longer term low key villain. Maybe someone who actually could give Kim a run for her money business wise. Maybe he can buy the HOP from Gabby and turn it into something better so that his son isn't working for a 21 year old anymore. And if his wife is dead, maybe Kim can cheat on Will with him. Haha. Sorry, I just really hate Will and Kim together.
The Lydia stuff was fine. I liked Rhona's scenes with her. I still just hate that they're doing yet another rape story. Just...nothing about this feels new or interesting. It feels like they're just going through the motions. It just feels like bits and pieces of all of the other stories stuck together. So even if the scenes are decent, it just feels stale, which this type of story shouldn't feel like. And yet...here we are. Because they've done too many of them over the years.
As for Aaron...well. Haha. Did they always have that couch in the portacabin? Because I don't remember seeing it before. Robert slept on the floor the last time he slept there. I was reading through twitter comments and ds board comments and there's just sooo much hatred for Aaron's attitude and his return in general and like...I didn't really want him to come back either but I haven't really minded his attitude that much. I do kind of enjoy him being terrible to Chas. And stealing money from the pub. I mean he was honest that he was taking it and they did take 30 grand from him so...you know. Kind of fair. As for the Paddy stuff, I mean you can see him calculating how to get rid of him and so he goes for the jugular. I was glad they at least mentioned Aaron's own suicide attempt and didn't ignore that. And I mean Paddy did lock him up too and threw the whole beating him up thing back in his face in front of Liv so...not that he deserved what Aaron said but I do still hold that grudge a bit.
Mostly, I just don't know where they go with him from here. Because it seemed like he was going to be like this for a while from the return interview stuff but you can already see him cracking and it only took a few words from Vinny to make him stay so like...how long is this realistically going to last? And once he does crack and properly grieve and do his inevitable apology tour, then what?
I just need them to give him a life again. So much of his character group has been stripped away, they need to replenish it. He needs a friend or friends. He needs some kind of relationship with his family. He needs a job, preferably one that we see. And he needs a purpose. I don't know, I just don't know that this rehash of everything that happened during the 50th anniversary is really going to cut it for long. So...
This is why Ryan needs to come back. Aaron needs his other half, he needs his story generator. Haha.

Hopes and fears
I don't really know what this is, just a little something that came to mind and I thought it would fit in this week of Aaron's leaving.
(AO3 link)
Day 6
It should feel weird sitting here, cold from the frozen ground making its way up his body, but it didn’t. If anything this was one of the very few places he felt comfortable these days. He usually comes first thing in the morning when he knows his family will still be in their pits. He can just imagine his Mum’s face if she knew he came here.
He usually comes just to update her on everything, but tonight, well he just needed to not be at home.
He’d just needed to talk and no one was listening. The whole village were mourning Ben, most of them had never said more than two words to him. They all expected him to be broken, to be grief stricken. It’s not like he wasn’t, but their expectations were weighing heavier than anything else. His Mum was looking at him like she expected him to fall to pieces when all he wanted was to just talk about everything. Any time he started to they just said ‘oh it’ll get better’. He knew that, he’d been here before after all, but he felt like he couldn’t talk. It was driving him mad.
So he’d come here. He must look a sight, sprawled on the grass in the dark, talking to a gravestone but he felt like it was the only place he could be honest.
“It’s not like I didn’t love him, I did. Maybe it wasn’t the way he loved me, or how I should’ve loved him, but I did. Everyone thought it was this great relationship, that we were perfect. None of them seem to remember that I had perfect, the kind of perfect I wanted. Ben was nice, he was kind and maybe we would’ve been good together for a long time, but it always felt like something was missing.” He sighs. “Robert wasn’t perfect, he’d say that himself, and yeah he got himself into some right messes, but he was always there when I needed him. I don’t blame Ben for not wanting to help with Liv, why would he, but I was alone and I don’t know how to deal with her drinking. I can’t be there for her anymore, I’m not doing any good, for her or me.”
“I miss him, but I don’t miss him like I should. Does that make me a bad person? That after everything, after what he must’ve gone through, that all I can think about is Robert? What kind of person am I?” He wipes his eyes and looks around. “I keep thinking about leaving, just getting away from here starting afresh somewhere else. Liv’s getting better, and Mum’s here, and Vinny. I can’t be what she needs anymore. Maybe it’s time to think about myself, to put me first. What would you do?”
There’s nothing, no noise, no sign to tell him what to do, but deep down he knows.
On his way home he can’t help but stop at the garage, memories washing over him. So much of their history had happened here and he’d come here a few times since Robert had gone to remember, to try and feel better. Sometimes it had worked, but mostly it’d made everything worse.
When he gets home, he packs a bag, just a few bits to tide him over. He can buy new stuff. He doesn’t want to be seen, doesn’t want the fight that he’ll inevitably get with his Mum and Paddy, the guilt, or any of it. He just wants to go.
The last thing he puts in the bag is the wedding album that’s been living in his bottom drawer since Robert left. That and the photos of Seb sit on top of his clothes and toiletry bag. He doesn’t need anything else.
He should probably put some memories of Ben in too, but the truth is they just don’t have any. It’d only been a few weeks ago that they’d broken up, and he’s only just realising how empty their relationship had been. He’s grieving, he liked him but it just wasn’t that all consuming love that he wanted.
He wasn’t forgetting Ben, just like he hadn’t forgotten Robert, or Jackson or Ed before. But the truth of it was, there was only ever one person. The one person who had sent him a text three days before when he was deep in his grief, feeling like the world was ending and he couldn’t go on anymore. He’d ignored it then, but he knew he couldn’t ignore it forever. Would never want to.
He makes himself get in the car before he can stop himself and change his mind and he feels a strange mix of sad and excited for the future.
He drives out of the village, stopping in the only place he possible could. Where he knew he’d be when he’d sat at Sarah’s grave telling her everything he couldn’t tell anyone else.
*Know any good breakdown services? I’ll be waiting.*

So many people asked so I finally caved, so here’s what I would do if I was a producer at Emmerdale.
I don’t hate her but sorry its bye bye Kim and all the Tates, by which I mean Jamie hehe.  And also Andrea. In place I would bring back the Merricks give them a strong relationship to Vic and Harry.
Give Vic a relationship with Sara and Jack.
Get Gabby and Liv back as friends and let them act the age they actually are. Introduce a new youngster who can bring a comedic feel, a female Gerry type of person who can be a friend to them both. Add Vinny and Jacob to this friendship group.
Let Nicola run the Hop.
Get rid of Bear, Nate, sorry Leyla too now, Dawn, Ellis, Wendy, sorry Luke, you might be nice but should never have been there.
Get Chas and Paddy out of the pub. Get Billy and Tracy back together and have them run the pub instead. Bring back Carly who can do shifts there. Have Mack and Carly in an enemies to lovers slow burn criminal escapades story.
Bring Vanessa back.
Have Harriet move in with Laurel and put Chas with Will. Have Will interact with Aaron.
Give Priya another factory to run.
Last but most...                                                                                       Give Seb back to Aaron. Have Aaron Vic and Harry maintain a strong family bond and then bring Robert back with a slow burn angsty all the feels reunion.

Happy Farmer's Festival!
Featuring their cute fruit costumes to commemorate this very special occasion for the agricultural community. 🌾🌱
This is one of the biggest yearly festivals in Banora. And of course, Baby Gen never forgets to put on his famous apple 🍎 costume during the grand opening parade .
Plus, he has a new friend to join with him. Meet Baby Seph with his father, Vinnie. 😍
Tumblr media
This year's costumes were carefully chosen by Baby Gen, himself. 😅
Angeal as Mr. Frog 🐸 representing the bountiful rice paddies in the country. And how he hops on from different plant to plant.
Vinnie as the Scarecrow 😐, thanks to them they ward off annoying birds from pecking into their grains.
Baby Seph as a ripe and juicy pear 🍐 because accdg. to baby Gen, pears are "wannabe" apples. 😁
(Baby Gen wants to be the only BEST!)
And last but not the least, Banora's little prince *spoiled boy*, Baby Genesis in his all-time favorite apple costume proudly representing Banora's famous sweetest and juciest apples! 🍎✨
(The dumbapples will be discovered later by Baby Gen when he's already on his teenage years.)

❛❛ C’mere. Lean on me. ❜❜ (robron AU, one of them gets hurt)
Hope you like it, Amy!
ao3 link here
Sometimes Robert forgets that he is married to a very stubborn man.
It’s easy to forget because Aaron’s a lot more open and easygoing these days, compared to how he was in the early days of their relationship. More willing to show vulnerability than he used to be.
He still has his moments, though.
Like on the football pitch.
The Woolpack football team reformed about six months ago, and actually – shockingly – they’re pretty good this time around. Now that they’ve got rid of some dead weight (Paddy, the team is too polite to say, even if Robert isn’t), recruited a couple of new players and actually had time to practice together, they’re less like a group of clumsy kids having a kickabout and more like an actual team. They’ve even started winning matches.
Matty is now a force to be reckoned with, his nimble feet making him perfect for stealing the ball from opposing players; Ellis and Billy are so in sync they practically move together as one unstoppable force; David is surprisingly good at tackles, even if he does whine like a baby every time he falls over; and Vinny is… well he’s not the best goalkeeper in the world (or even the Dales), but what he lacks in natural talent he makes up for in enthusiasm.
The star player – in Robert’s entirely unbiased opinion – is Aaron. Look, Robert’s not exactly an expert in football, but from where he’s standing (on the side of a cold, muddy field until he can’t feel his toes), Aaron scores the most goals, executes the most successful tackles, has the most energy… Robert’s earned bragging rights, okay?
So there he’s stood one chilly Saturday morning in March, like the supportive husband he is, watching Aaron and his team. Well, he’s half watching, half chatting shit with Dawn while keeping an eye on Seb and Lucas playing together.
Seb is easily Aaron’s biggest cheerleader, in awe of his dad every time he sees him play. Last month, Robert couldn’t resist surprising Seb with a tiny version of the team’s strip for him to wear to every match, and he doesn’t know who was more delighted by it, his husband or his son.
But it’s just past the 70th minute now, there’s only so long a four year-old’s attention span can last. Robert can’t say he blames him; to be honest, he’s counting down the minutes until the final whistle blows and they can all head to the warm pub for a full English.
If he had been paying more attention, perhaps he wouldn’t have missed the brutal tackle that sends Aaron flying. One second Robert’s absently checking his phone, the next he hears the unmistakable sound of his husband’s loud yell, and he whips his head up to see Aaron sprawled on the grass, his face scrunched up in agony as he grips his left ankle.
Billy and Ellis are already shouting to the ref and charging towards a player on the opposing team, who holds his hands up and loudly protests his innocence. The team checks Aaron over; Robert can hear them telling Aaron to sit out the rest of the match but he’s shaking his head and insisting that he’s good to keep going.
Robert feels a tug on his on jeans and looks down to see Seb clutching his leg worriedly. “Is Daddy okay?” His bottom lip’s already wobbling, so Robert quickly lifts him up and gives him a squeeze.
“Daddy’s fine, he just took a bit of a tumble,” he says in his best reassuring voice, despite the fact that he’s more than a little worried himself. “He’s already getting back up, see?”
Matty’s helping Aaron to his feet and he manages to stay standing, though Robert can see him wince and wobble as soon as he puts weight on his injured leg. He spots Robert and Seb staring at him and gives them both a smile and a thumbs up, before waving off his teammates’ concerns and lining up to take a free kick.
This is enough to calm Seb, who wriggles impatiently in Robert’s arms until he lets him back down and goes back to playing with Lucas. Robert, on the other hand, isn’t quite so convinced by Aaron’s supposed recovery.
He watches as Aaron continues to play for the remainder of the match, his face twisting as he tries to run without putting too much strain on his left leg. It’s only a few more minutes, but time seems to stretch out as Aaron becomes slower and slower, the clearly-increasing pain becoming more evident in his movements.
“Just stop, you idiot,” Robert mutters under his breath. Unsurprisingly, this doesn’t make a difference.
To say Robert’s relieved when the ref finally blows the whistle is an understatement. If the match had gone on much longer, he would have barrelled onto the pitch and dragged Aaron off himself.
The Woolpack’s team have won 2-1, so they’re in a jubilant mood, arms thrown over each other’s shoulders and slapping each other’s backs as they come off the pitch.
“Back to the Woolpack then, lads?” Vinny cries, to which they all cheer in agreement like it’s the best idea they’ve ever heard. Robert doesn’t know why they’re so excited; they always go to the Woolpack after a match, whether they win or lose.
Aaron walks – well, hobbles – over to Seb and swings him up into the air.
“You won again!” Seb crows happily.
“Course we did, we’re the best aren’t we?” Aaron grins and tips Seb back in his arms until he’s nearly upside down – a move that never fails to make him screech with delight.
Robert runs a hand through Aaron’s sweaty hair. “You’re not going to the pub, are you?”
Aaron puts Seb down and grabs Robert’s arm as he straightens up. Robert doesn’t miss the grimace on his face, the way his weight shifts to the side of his uninjured leg.
“Yeah, course I am. Team tradition, innit?”
“But your leg, you need to rest it.”
“Don’t fuss, my leg’s fine.”
“It is not fine.”
“It’s just a twinge, I can barely feel it,” Aaron replies with all the gusto of an idiotic footballer who’s just had a big win and wants to get hammered with his mates.
“You’re practically using me as a crutch right now,” Robert points out.
“No, I’m just… touching you. Normally.”
Robert blinks and tries very hard not to scream in frustration. He is literally the only thing holding Aaron up right now.
“Right, so you won’t mind if I just – ” He quickly steps away so Aaron loses his grip and tilts sideways, gritting his teeth when his weight lands on his injured foot. He reaches out for Robert quickly.
“Okay okay, fine, you've made your point, get back here.”
Robert rolls his eyes and returns to Aaron’s side, lets him lean against his chest and rest his head on his shoulder. He can feel Aaron letting out harsh, controlled breaths against his neck.
“On a scale of one to ten, how sore are you right now?”
“Like… four?”
“So that’s a seven, then.” All that gets him is an annoyed grunt and a soft headbutt in return.
“Sorry lads,” Robert calls out to the group. “I’m taking this one home, get some ice on his dodgy leg. You’ll have to have your piss-up without him this time.”
They whine and groan like they’re all half their ages, but agree readily enough, Matty coming over to pat Aaron on the back and tell he he hopes he feels better soon.
As the rest of the team troops off towards their respective cars, Robert pulls Aaron’s left arm around his shoulder. “C’mere. Lean on me.”
They set off at a slow pace, ambling towards the car while Seb zigzags about in front of them, kicking his miniature football that he brings to every match.
“You should’ve just stopped when the prick tackled you. You’ve probably made your leg worse now, you idiot.”
“Oi, I’m injured here, you wanna try being a little nicer to me?”
“Oh, now he admits it,” Robert grumbles and grips Aaron’s wrist a little tighter. “I’m just saying, you’re not exactly 21 anymore.”
“Rich coming from you, old man.” Aaron snorts.
They continue in silence until they reach the car, twin expressions of irritation on their faces.
Robert helps Aaron into the passenger’s seat, then goes to buckle Seb into his booster seat in the back. He spots one of Seb’s pillows (they keep it in there for when he needs to nap during long car journeys) and brings it to the front, tucking it under Aaron’s foot.
“Here, that might help until we get home,” he mutters, slamming Aaron’s door and heading for the driver’s seat before he can reply.
They pull out onto the main road and set off in the direction of Emmerdale, Robert driving as carefully as he can in an attempt to avoid jostling Aaron’s leg. It doesn’t take Aaron long to notice what he’s doing, and he reaches over to run his thumb over Robert’s wrist. A silent apology for snapping.
“Sorry you couldn’t go to the pub with the others,” Robert offers, only feeling a little bit bad.
“S’okay, think I’d rather hang out with you two anyway.”
Robert doesn’t know if he entirely believes that, knows how much Aaron loves hanging out with his teammates – especially on the high of winning a match – but he appreciates the gesture.
Aaron glances back to Seb, who’s happily tearing the little collection of daisies that he’d picked into shreds (Gonna have to give the backseat another hoover tomorrow, Robert thinks with a wince).
“What d’you say, mate – us three putting our feet up, big bowl of popcorn and a How to Train Your Dragon marathon?”
“Dragons!” Seb yells, throwing the remnants of his daisy petals in the air.
Dragons are Seb’s newest favourite thing, quickly overtaking dinosaurs in his estimations (“Because dragons are like dinosaurs ‘cept they can breathe fire, Daddy,” he’d explained matter-of-factly. Robert couldn’t really fault his logic).
Aaron laughs and turns to Robert.
“So?”
Robert grins without taking his eyes from the road.
“Dragons it is.”

Sometimes I wonder who hurt Jane Hudson and made her so incapable of approving a true love story!! Most of the sls she and her team have approved are about characters settling with second best or someone who is wrong for them! And yes, the only reason I am writing this is because I am mad about Aaron inexplicably choosing Ben over Robert....for now!!! So none of this is going to be objective or rational. It you want carefully curated objective discussions, please scroll past.
Rebecca was sent off with Ross...a man she never loved a day in her life before the accident. Chas is with Paddy, again someone who is convenient and a shoulder to cry on. I caught a couple of scenes of Nate & Tracy and they don't seem to be anywhere near the throws of passion as well. They broke up Cain and Moira with that ridiculous sl. Liv and Vinny were put together because obviously the awkward nerd guy has to be with the asexual character. They broke up Jimmy and Nicola (are they still broken up?). Remember that whole thing with Will and Harriet? Dragged on for ages! Jacob is with Leanna but then she in turn has a crush on Billy?! I am guessing Liam, Leyla and Bernice were the comic relief I am guessing....and Bernice will do the whole showing up in wedding gown thing, like she did with Andy Vanity was their big ship....oh wait, they don't exist anymore! And don't even get me started on Luke and Vic!! Now all they have to do is hurt Sam and Lydia.....they better not!!!!
The thing is, you could say, well this is what soaps are about....except they are not....not anymore! Look at the sls the other serials are doing! Look at the sls Emmerdale used to do before these guys took over!!!
I looked at the tag for Aaron's new ship on Twitter. There is one account that ships it properly... ONE!!! The rest are all in it because either they hate Robert or will go along with anything Danny does!
I will be very upfront and honest here. It gives me IMMENSE joy now when people hate this new ship or are hating Emmerdale. I am not proud of it. But it's the honest truth. So reading all the comments from people who watch the show is my favourite pass time right now!! The more ridiculous the show gets, the more I feel "serves them right for hurting Robron"! 🙊
But deep down I know, I am only laughing to hide my tears. It's like a loud drunk who laughs at the top of his/her voice to hide the sound of a broken heart.
What I yearn for is quite simple. I want the producers to prove me wrong. I want the show to be great again so that I can go back to it. And more than anything I want Aaron to fight for Robert and fight with Robert for their marriage!!! This heart will never stop hoping and that is my undoing!

Randomly wondering why Emmerdale hasn't brought in any long lost Sugdens; real, adjacent (Merricks!) or retconned, in these last 10ish years or so, besides Robert. And I'm not even talking long-term, just at all!
Let's see.
When Robert arrived back, he was tacked-on to a family he was only related to by marriage-to-be, the Whites. They were wealthy, powerful and had a three generation dynamic he wasn't a part of, as Lachlan wasn't his child (we got to meet Donny later). Of course Rebecca completed the White line-up.
Making Robert a dad was super important to TPTB, but even then, Robert lost Seb to Liverpool long before Ryan Hawley gave his leaving notice.
In contrast we have the Dingles and the Dingle add-ons. Here is what I could think of right now; A secret daughter for Marlon in April, Kyle came back to live in the village, they brought in Aaron's sister Liv, then we had Faith re-cast, Mandy came back + Vinny, brand new secret sons - Ryan for Charity (and his son Oscar on top of that!) and Nate for Cain, and finally Caleb, his wife Ruby and their son Nicky.
Not to mention the people who have married and/or had kids with Dingles.
They brought in several Bartons, relatives by marriage to Moira, but blood relatives to her children; James, Ross, Pete and Finn + Emma, then a return from Holly, Matty and finally a brother for Moira; Mackenzie.
Tates: they started with Joe (and Graham who was very entangled with the whole family) followed by Kim, then Jamie, Andrea and Millie (and Millie's maternal granny), and also Caleb and his family who are both Dingle and Tate adjacent.
The Anderson family was extended with daughter Naomi, mother Claudette and father Victor, and we even got to meet the mum/ex-wife.
We got two new Sharmas in Amit and Suni, plus the return of Archie, a couple of extra King kids in Elliot and Carl + nephew Tom, Meena was Manpreet's sister, Chloe was Kerry's secret daughter and Amy's sister, and Paddy got a brand new dad in Bear. Vanessa and Tracy were made sisters and got a joint dad in Frank. Rhona's mother Mary came and stayed, and then there was Gus and a new biological baby with no cheating story!
Heck, we were even subjected to Wendy's creepy ex-husband, Russ, making the total Posner count four characters + they made one of them "father" to Harry!
Both Jack and Joe Sugden were away from the village plenty, as was Robert. They could have gotten up to all sorts. Andy had a whole other birth family, but they all disappeared. Robert has two half siblings in Sandie and Tommy (he is something of a mystery), and they are bound to have families of their own. And what about Sarah Sr, couldn't she have a relative or two out there in the world, who would be blood relatatives to Victoria and Harry? Kathy was very much a part of the Sugden family, she had at least one kid in Australia we've only ever heard of.
I don't know if the show doesn't 'dare' mess around with the Sugdens and feel they are a bit 'untouchable' or if they just plain and simple aren't at all interested in them? (Actually I can guess.) But I still think it's weird and the Dingles should never have taken over the whole village like this.
That turned into quite a long post, if anyone made it to the end of it, sorry! 🙈
My brain is pretty fried after this, let me know if I missed/left out anything important!

Finally the emergency services have arrived and they get to assessing Liv, they give her pain relief. They soon call Paddy over who is delivered some horrific news.
Paddy heads over to where Aaron and Vinny are waiting with Mandy he breaks it to them Liv's lower body has been crushed and the caravan wedged into her is all that's keeping her alive there's nothing they can do for her. Liv is dying. 💔

If you were in charge, which members of the Dingle family would you get rid of?
It's such a hard question because they're so many of them are such big parts of the show and I don't so much hate most of them as individual characters in their own circles but I also hate all of the Dingle family code bullshit and I hate that there's so many of them that they've almost infiltrated every other family on the show. Like none of these future kids are gonna be able to date each other cause they're all gonna be related. Haha.
Easy ones to get rid of are: Nate and Ryan cause they never should have been long lost Dingle children in the first place. I also feel like you could easily kill of Zak at this point cause he's barely there anyway. He's been in 14 episodes this year total.
I would have said we could easily lose Belle a while back but maybe with the Tom stuff they're finally using her? Of course from what I've seen of that it's been pretty lackluster so she could probably still go.
I personally could easily lose Sam these days.
If I was going to get rid of one of the bigger characters, I probably would just cut Chas at this point. Cain has Caleb now if he needs a sibling. Without Aaron and without Paddy, Chas really doesn't have a lot of meaningful relationships right now. I desperately want new blood at the Woolpack. She could go out in some crazy blaze of glory and that could bring Aaron back if they could convince Danny (and Ryan) to return.
But even with cutting them, you've still got Cain, Marlon, Charity, Mandy, Vinny, Samson, Noah, Leo, Sarah, Eve, April, Caleb, Nicky, Frankie, Esther, Isaac, Kyle and Moses.
Plus all of their attachments: Moira, Rhona, Paddy, Lydia, Amelia, Tracy and Amy.
I mean I'd definitely cut Tracy and Frankie with Nate too.
And I could easily lose Noah and Amelia and Esther too.
Was there an actual answer in there somewhere? Haha.
I think with all of that, I'm cutting: Nate, Ryan, Zak, Belle, Sam, Chas, Tracy and Frankie and Noah, Amelia and Esther.
Then we only have: Cain and Moira, Marlon and Rhona, Mandy and Paddy, Caleb and Nicky, Vinny, Samson and Sarah and then the younger kids: Leo, April, Eve, Isaac, Kyle and Moses.
That paves the way for a nice big new family to take over the shop.

I wrote this on my phone last night... And it sort of makes sense so I figured I’d actually post it.
Aaron’s exit the way it should be.
---
Aaron took a deep breath as he closed the boot of his car and took one last look at the house that had been his home the past few years. The house he’d been happier in than he’d ever thought possible. Happy memories in every corner of the place.
But also a lot of pain and heartbreak. Which was why he had to do what he was about to do. He’d written letters for his mum and Paddy, one for Liv, and even a note for Cain. They probably wouldn’t understand but he couldn’t worry about that anymore.
The scrapyard was sold, the new owner had promised to keep Vinny on and continue to let Home James share the office, and Aaron’s name was officially off the papers and the money in his bank account.
He dug his keys out of his jacket pocket and opened the drivers side door.
“Going anywhere nice?” Charles asked, walking up the Mill’s driveway.
Aaron frowned.
“You what?”
“I just saw you put a bag in your car. Are you going on holiday?”
“Oh... yeah... something like that.” Aaron told him. “Just need to get away. After everything.”
Charles nodded.
“Understandable.” He patted the roof of Aaron’s car. “Well, have a good trip.”
“Yeah... Thanks.”  Aaron mumbled as Charles walked into the house.
He took one last look at the house before getting into his car and starting the engine.
The village was surprisingly empty. Half his family was in court with Liv and everybody else was waiting with baited breath on the outcome.
He drove past the pub and thought of the time he and Robert had lived there together. Holed up in that tiny room, sharing a bathroom with about 20 other relatives and the rest of the village right on the other side of the door.
He’d said his goodbyes to the village over the past few days. The garage where he and Robert had exchanged vows the first time, the pagoda where they’d done it the second time, the swings and the rest of the playground where they’d spent countless hours with Seb, and Vic’s house where they’d spent so many nights squished together in Robert's tiny bed in her box room.
He reached the end of the road and flicked on his turn signal, and with one final look in his rear-view mirror, he turned his car onto Hotten road, ready to start the rest of his life.
The roads around the village were quiet and he made it to the M62 quicker than he’d expected. He smiled to himself when he glanced at his phone and noticed he’d shaved a good 10 minutes off his usual time. He wanted to share his progress but decided against it. A fine for texting behind the wheel was the last thing he needed with his fresh start.
Instead he kept driving his usual route, feeling lighter and more relaxed with every mile he put between himself and the village.
It was a little over an hour later when he drove into Liverpool and he followed the now familiar way to Rebecca’s house. After the news of Robert possibly getting out sooner the past summer, he’d called her in what he still called a moment of insanity, and for probably the first time ever, really talked to her. She’d admitted she and Ross were no longer together, and despite having help she was still struggling with Seb on her own.
So that’s when Aaron had offered to help out and she’d gladly accepted.
Whenever he could, he drive over to Liverpool and spend the day with Seb to give her a bit of time to breathe and focus on herself. They’d never be friends but they both wanted what was best for Seb and agreed this arrangement was as close to that as they could get.
The first time he'd driven out there, Aaron had been nervous and worried what he’d do if Seb didn’t remember him after all this time. Thankfully he didn’t have to find out because Seb did remember him and was absolutely thrilled to see him.
He hadn’t told anyone Seb was back in his life. His mum and Paddy wouldn’t understand, and Ben... well he hadn’t been ready to have that conversation.
But now none of that mattered. He’d called Rebecca a few days after Ben had died and told her he had to get away. That the village was suffocating him and he needed a new start, and she’d understood and offered him her spare room until he found a place of his own.
He turned onto her street and saw Seb playing outside with some friends while one of the other kids' parents kept an eye on them.
He parked his car and grabbed his bag from the boot.
“Hey Seb, aren’t you going to say hello to me?”
The little boy looked up and smiled as he ran into Aaron’s arms.
“Daddy Aaron!”
“Hey mate.” Aaron said, holding him close and breathing him in. With every moment passing he was more sure he’d made the right choice. “Are you having fun with your mates?” he asked, lifting Seb up and shifting him to his hip as he made his way over to the other kids and the other dad who was watching them.
He had his back towards him as he tied one kid’s shoe and Aaron couldn’t help but think he looked kind of familiar.
“There you go. I put a double knot in it so it won’t get untied so easily again.” the man said and Aaron nearly dropped Seb when he recognised the voice.
“Thank you Seb’s dad!” the kid said and and ran away to join his friends again a little further away.
The man stood up and turned around and Aaron couldn’t believe his eyes.
“Robert?”
Seb squirmed in his arms and Aaron put him down to let him go back to his friends.
“Hey Aaron.”
He was a little thinner, his hair was longer and he’d grown a beard, but there was absolutely no mistaking. Robert was here. Alive and well. Not in prison.
“But... how?”
“I appealed. And won. Got out on time served.”
“W-when?”
“A few weeks ago.”
“Weeks?!” Aaron asked. He hadn’t been able to come over in a few weeks because of the drama surrounding Ben’s death and clearly he’d missed a lot. “Does Vic know? Why didn’t you come home?”
Robert shook his head.
“Not sure where home is anymore.” he admitted “I didn’t know where to go when I got out... So I got a train up here and came to see Seb. Rebecca is letting me stay in her spare room for now until I find a place of my own.”
Aaron stared at him, not sure what to say, until the insanity of the situation hit him and he burst out laughing.
“What?”
“I don’t know if it’s her executive dysfunction or if she planned it... but she offered me the same thing.” Aaron explained. “I’ve left Emmerdale. I sold the scrapyard and I came here to start over.”
“You what? What about Liv? And your mum?”
Aaron shrugged.
“They’ll be fine. I figured it was about time that I put myself first for a change. Do what makes me happy.”
Robert smiled and the butterflies in Aaron’s stomach suddenly seemed to have woken up.
“Yeah? And what’s that?”
“I’m still figuring that out. Taking things one step at a time.” Aaron said, taking a step closer to Robert who moved closer too.
“That was my plan too.”
“Yeah? Maybe we can take some steps together?” Aaron suggested.
“Yeah. I’d like that.”
Robert was now close enough to touch and suddenly Aaron couldn’t think of one good reason not to give into the urge he’d had from the moment he’d seen him.
He wrapped his arms around Robert and pulled him into a hug, burying his face in his neck like he’d done hundreds of times before.
“I’ve missed you so much.” he mumbled, squeezing Robert a little tighter.
“I missed you too.” Robert replied and they swayed on the spot together for a few minutes until Aaron pulled back a little and moved his hands up to Robert’s neck and face, stroking his cheek.
“I love you.” he said and emphasised his words by pressing a kiss to Robert’s lips.
“Still?”
“I never stopped.”

I'm back from my weekend of fun so now its time to catchup on Emmerdale!
Thursday
Who knew I would be agree with Bear on all his critiques of Paddy 🤷🏼‍♀️
Oh Tracy, if only you knew what we all think of Nate
I'm pretty sure I saw absolutely no reaction from Nate when he found out.
Every small scene between Chas and Al just keeps building hope that an affair is coming
The Paul and Vinny scenes were pretty good until Mandy came in. It has to come down to no chemistry between Mandy and Paul. Because scenes between Mandy and Vinny are good. And now I know scenes between Vinny and Paul are good as well, but I have a really hard time watching scenes with all 3 of them.
I hate when they use Liv as a plot device!
Oh but I would love if you two broke up
I actually enjoyed that scene between Aaron and Liv. And really I enjoyed all but one Aaron and Liv scene. Mainly because they felt more like conversations that would occur between a brother and sister.
I saved the Aaron’s stuff til last. I was pretty relieved to find out on Thursday that it was just the divorce being final. But I'm not a big fan that this was used as a source of conflict for Aaron’s new love interest. While its nice to get Robert mentions, I'm not a big fan of it being used as a source of conflict unless Robert is in the village (affair 2.0).
Friday
So I see Jamie is doing the whole "if I have to go down, I'm gonna take everyone with me" approach
Awe a nice little Faith mention. I miss her!
I don't know why, but the phrase "lost the plot" on shows (especially soaps) really gets on my nerves
Oh PC Swirling, no one wants to hear about that affair anymore!!!
So... does Aaron actually work anymore or just leave threatening notes to Vinny 😂
Was the gift actually from Paul who did it on behalf of Vinny?
They're going on a picnic! I'm sooooo happy 😊
Oh Andrea, such high hopes that you would actually follow through!
---------------------------------------------
Glad to be caught up, even if the eps were kind of lackluster. So now I'm going to watch some robron content. I have found out that its a great cleanser 😉
I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Robron Wedding 2.0 Day!!!
