I have to say, it's really interesting. Emmerdale is knocking it out of the park lately. This is a step down from Ruby's story but a step up from Joe or April. And those were still intriguing stories on their own.

I wasn't keen on it at first but there's absolutely going to be a serial killer story with him.

I will eat my hat if I'm wrong, but I really do think that Aaron is (supposed to be) in love with John. it was so obvious that something was off with Alex, and the guilt he had about not really having feelings for him. I just don't buy the theory that he's only with John out of guilt. dating someone is one thing, but iirc he's the one who asked John to move in, and now he wants to have the wedding asap. there's been no scenes with Aaron alone or with others that in any way indicates that his feelings for John aren't real, again, like there was so many of with Alex. assuming the John theories are correct, I think Aaron really will be genuinely heartbroken (albeit obviously not on a level anywhere near what he felt any of the times when things went bad with Rob). I keep going back to what was supposed to be real feelings for Ben, through it all I just couldn't believe it, but in the end it was real, in some sense. it's just that his dynamic with basically anyone else will look pale and fake in comparison to Robron. I would love it if I was wrong though.
