Emmerdale 27.01.25 Part 3

Now they've got rid of Anthony's belongings, Aaron & John need to deal with his car next, they see Cain locking up his garage for a few days to take care of Moria undergoing her radiotherapy treatment. John & Aaron see the opportunity this has provided them.

Aaron and John have successfully managed to get Anthony's car into the garage undercover of darkness, using the spare key Aaron got hold of earlier, Aaron says it'll take a while, it's a time consuming job. John says he'll help if Aaron tells him what to, claiming he's no idea how apparently not being mechanically inclined. John also points out they need to be quiet, this place is supposed to be closed. Aaron's plan is to load the parts into a van, he can get rid of it.

Aaron sits in Anthony's car preparing to strip the car down to parts, but before he starts he finds a CD titled 'Grandad's Tunes' he assumes were made by Steph and guilt kicks in as Aaron struggles & becomes distressed & breathless with anxiety.

Aaron doubts he can do this, Aaron frets Steph will never know what happened to her Grandad, John thinks it's a blessing & John says if Aaron can't face it he can try & do it on his own but he wouldn't know where to start. Aaron pulls himself together says he's fine, let's just crack on.

Meanwhile Jai has rounded up the workforce at Caleb's depot, after earlier informing them of the break in, he's learned £200 petty cash had gone missing, when he got push back about searching the bags of the staff he informed them tomorrow he's bringing in the police! Will Anthony bloody tooth remain undertected?

Emmerdale 27.01.25 Part 2

John and Aaron have chosen the trick of duping Ruby that there is a possible a gas leak in their house and they've called someone out to investigate, Ruby is unhappy & irritated as John suggests the Hide is quiet this time of day & offers to buy her a coffee, while Aaron will stay and deal with it.

John is distracting Ruby in the Hide leaving Aaron to pack up Anthony's belongings, but Ruby is agitated and desperate to get back home so John texts Aaron urging him to be quick because he can't stall her for long.

Aaron has got underway packing Anthony's belongings, he texts John that he's all done but before he can get out of the house Caleb returns forcing Aaron to hide in another room until he can escape. Aaron is forced to listen as he chats to Ruby on the phone.

Aaron gets a lucky break as Caleb speaks to Ruby who's still agitated about this 'gas leak' informing her there's no sign of it or Aaron he decides to pick her up & take her out for lunch providing a clear opportunity to Aaron to get away with Anthony's belongings unseen.

Emmerdale 27.01.25 Part 1

Aaron is sat alone with his thoughts outside in silent contemplation but is soon joined by John, Aaron knowing what needs to be done says he needs to get Anthony's passport & car keys & pack his bags.

John tells Aaron Caleb and Steph will be heading to work soon, Aaron asks what about Ruby? John replies they need to think about that, but tells Aaron to take Anthony's stuff like he's never coming back. John asks Aaron if he's up to doing this today?

Aaron says to John he's fine and up to doing it, he just will feel better when it's all done, he says they still need to strip Anthony's car down & scrap it, but doesn't want to it at his own scrapyard in view of Vinny & Jimmy.

Aaron thinking very clearly considers Wylies farm, as a venue to scrap Anthony's car but it's for sale so might get a viewing also aware of CCTV on the road up there. As Caleb & Steph come out to head to work with Anthony still the focus of Steph's attention

As Aaron and John hear Steph not understanding why her 'Grandad' isn't answering her calls as she and Caleb drive off to work, John tells Aaron whatever the risks they need to get this done.

Aaron Dingle on Emmerdale's massive new storyline and why he nearly quit acting

Emmerdale fans will have been on the edge of their seats since last night, as viewers saw Aaron fight sex abuser Anthony Fox - only to later fear he had killed him.

While the drama was on screen, the real battle was being fought behind-the-scenes as it marked actor Danny Miller's biggest and heaviest storylines since his return to the soap - two years after his debilitating panic and anxiety attacks saw him decide to quit.

Previously the three-time Soap Award winner would struggle so much when filming such dark scenes, he feared he would pass out. But now Danny, 34, admits he’s found a perfect tonic to protect himself and his mental health: His new wife and children.

“I’m not gonna sit here and lie and say, ‘I wanted to kill myself,’ but I certainly thought it would be easier if I wasn’t here," he admitted on Ryan and Adam Thomas’s Mancs on the Mic podcast at the time. Adding about his difficulties on Emmerdale, he added: “They go, ‘Stand by’, and my brain’s going, ‘You’re gonna f*** this up, you’re gonna f*** this up’. I’m sweating and I go, ‘Sorry, you’ll have to cut there’. I had it loads when I’ve got a big scene and I’ve gone, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna pass out’.”

Two years later, Danny decided he was ready to return to Emmerdale in October 2023. He’d had some emotive scenes during Chas Dingle’s cancer plot. But it’s the new child abuse storyline which has been the real test as Danny is in some major scenes. To recap, Anthony is thought to have been abusing his daughter Ruby, and Danny’s Aaron - having been abused by his own father - feels a responsibility to help bring him to justice. Until, that is, Anthony’s found in a pool of blood and Aaron fears he’s taken things too far.

This time round, Danny’s feeling far more able to cope with the emotional impact of the storylines - thanks to wife Steph, who he married in 2022, and their children Albert, three, and Edith, one. “Without Steph, I wouldn’t be here in Emmerdale,” he tells us now. “Steph is very good at checking in and making sure I am ok, which helps a lot. I know Steph has everything under control at home. She was born to be a mum and she is amazing.”

Danny first met Steph Jones in primary school, but they only became a couple in 2019. Danny proposed at a candlelit beach dinner in St Lucia in January 2021 - a trip Steph had booked for his 30th birthday celebrations. A month later they found out they were expecting their first child together. They had both suffered with mental health issues in the past, and claim to have “saved each other” - a sentiment Danny shared during his speech when they married in Cheshire in 2022.

Now, he says, there are no downside about returning to the soap. “I’ve definitely got no regrets. It was the best decision Steph and I made,” he tells us. “I really appreciate the fact that Emmerdale gave me this chance. I’ve got a lot of friends who are struggling at the moment. I love playing Aaron again.”

Next week viewers will see Aaron tell Ruby he killed her dad - even though we know there are multiple people who could have actually delivered the fatal blow. While Danny is keeping tight-lipped about what will happen next in the abuse storyline, he admits he feels a huge responsibility to get it right, as it's one “people will watch and will be affected by”. He knows what he’s talking about - his character came out as gay in 2010 and it’s helped thousands of viewers.

“I still get people coming up to me now talking about Aaron coming out. Even though it is a long time ago now, I’m still really proud of it because we played against stereotypes and it helped to change perceptions,” he says. “I can remember when Gavin, who was a dear friend and our producer, gave me the opportunity. He told me it would change my life. He sadly died many years ago but I can still remember how proud I was that he’d given me the story and I’ve never looked back.

“So many people come up regularly saying: ‘what we love is the fact that you play this hard man who happens to be in love with a man’. It was a big risk at the time but I will always be very grateful.” The Dingles are Danny’s ‘second family’ and even have their own WhatsApp group. He was devastated when Steve Halliwell, the actor who played Zak Dingle, passed away in December 2023.

“It’s lovely to be part of the Dingles,” adds Danny. “Steve Halliwell, God rest his soul, was the one who made the Dingles who they are today. They are all very loyal. We have that real family feel and we have our own WhatsApp group message.”

Away from the soap, Danny says he is determined to embrace every spare second with Steph and his two kids. Weekends, he says, are devoted to non-stop family activities. “We are always out exploring,” adds Danny. “At the weekend, we pack a lot in with family stuff!”

As well as devoting himself to his family, Danny also takes part in other TV shows when he can. He did, of course, triumph on I’m a Celebrity in the first ever Welsh edition during the pandemic in 2021 and he admits being crowned ‘King of the Castle’ will always have a ‘special place’ in his heart. “I went in with no game plan,” he recalls. “I was so lucky people voted for me. It’s the only time I haven’t watched the series!”

He didn’t have quite so much success, however, earlier this month when he took part on Mastermind, coming last with just ten points. His glum facial expression became a meme on X, formerly known as Twitter, with many berating Danny for ‘sulking’ and being a ‘bad loser’. Today Danny admits even his wife asked him why he looked so miserable.

“Steph said to me: ‘why did you look like that? It looks bad’,” he says. “The truth of the matter is I was embarrassed and really gutted I hadn’t got more points. I can’t hide my feelings! I didn’t want to let myself down and make a fool of myself. But there were smarter, wiser celebrities against me.”

Emmerdale 24.01.25 Part 5

John cuts Aaron off mid rant, yelling at him to shut up, Aaron flinches back. John takes control again saying yes they made a mistake, but it doesn't have to be a problem, How? Aaron asks They move it, replies John.

John says they are going to make it look like Anthony returned to get his stuff & driven off cos he doesn't want to see people. Aaron asks who does that? Anthony says John. John warns Aaron there will be police but Aaron's got to help it's too much for him to deal with on his own, this time.

John warns Aaron this is only the beginning and warns him to get a grip in domineering tone, Aaron nods but reels at his life imploding as he struggles to act normal. It seems to be John taking charge over Aaron & there is now a unhealthy dynamic at play here.

Emmerdale 24.01.25 Part 4

Aaron & John are in the pub, Aaron wonders what Steph is saying at the bar, John in more condescending tone talking to Aaron like he is a idiot tells him he wasn't listening, it's none of their business is it?

Steph is joined at the bar by her mother, Ruby. Aaron overhears Steph questioning if her grandad has left of his own choice why did he leave his car behind the pub. Aaron freaking out bolts from the pub to John's dismay and irritation, he takes a quick sip of his pint before following Aaron outside.

Aaron rants he's not listening to John anymore, they're finished when the police arrive John said he fixed it, made it go away apart from one big problem Anthony's car! Aaron carries on no one ever gets away with anything like this, in full on panic mode.

Emmerdale 24.01.25 Part 3

John's come to check on Aaron, who is blaring music in his ears thrashing things into a skip, he's sent Vinny home John points out it's 3pm and Aaron's not eaten, so John insists he takes a break, eat a sarnie & knock off work early & they go to the pub after work once John finishes his own shift.

Aaron when asked admits he feels terrible about what he did is that what John wants to hear? He tells Aaron they're going to go to the pub, have a laugh and everyone's going to see him because they've done nothing wrong! John is policing Aaron & giving off psychopath vibes here!

Emmerdale 24.01.25 Part 2

To John Aaron says he said to act normal & claims he is. Aaron is out of breath from pushing himself on his run, Aaron queries John about breakfast but John's already eaten. Aaron calls that selfish, in joking fashion, John says he doesn't have to put up a act and Aaron is acting chirpy and hyper.

John asks how Aaron's injured hand is, Aaron says fine. John suggests or tries to insist Aaron takes the day off work but Aaron refuses, he says he'll tell Vinny he caught his hand in one of the machines. John's not too pleased with Aaron's refusal to comply.

Elsewhere Jai found the door wide open on the depot this morning and is determined to find out who the intruder was although he can't find anything stolen but vows to get to the bottom of it. John's not as clever as he thought he was it seems & now the power is back on.

Emmerdale 24.01.25 Part 1

In the opening scene of the episode, Aaron is shown going on a run through the village something historically he tends to do when he is suffering mentally from severe stress & mental health struggles (captured with some unusual POV camera work and eerie loud wind in the background).

Aaron's run takes him past the church, where he passes Laurel who is suffering her own guilt for hitting Anthony believing she may of killed him herself and Aaron then arrives back home.

John in condescending fashion is concerned where Aaron is & leaves him a voice mail message to call him or answer his phone just as Aaron arrives home. When John demands to know where he's been Aaron points to his running gear telling John to take a wild guess.

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 11

John returns from disposing of Anthony's body, Aaron has put his blood stained clothes on a wash & is now freaking out calling himself a 'murderer', he's says sorry to John for dragging him into this, John says life caught up to Anthony & repeated he was dying anyway. John says he did it so no roads lead back to Aaron.

John assures Aaron there is nothing left of Anthony to be found but the camera pans to show a bloody tooth was left behind at the scene. Oh dear eek!

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 10

Aaron is bagging up his blood stained clothing and is affected by the blood that he gets on his hands reeling by the nights events.

Aaron is forced to quickly stuff the blood stained clothing under the table as Cain unexpectedly barges in on him.

Cain questions why Aaron hadn't serviced the car he should have at the garage today, Aaron says he cried off work early due to feeling unwell or 'a bit ropey' as he puts it as he eventually gets Cain to leave by saying he wants to get his head down, hint taken eventually though Cain was disgruntled about it.

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 9

Aaron says this is his dad's doing, after all these years he's still ruining his life John vows he'll put him back together. Aaron points out to John out by doing this he becomes part of it. John says this shows him there isn't much he wouldn't do for him eh?!

With Aaron having gone home as instructed, John get underway cleaning up the scene of Anthony's death and bagging up his body for disposal.

John has got himself a flat tyre as he is en route to or from the disposal of Anthony's body, Ross & Steph are looking for Anthony and Ross uncharacteristically offers to be a good samaritan and helps change the tyre, even going into the boot where the body is!

While fortunately Ross doesn't suspect what he was looking at if he saw anything to John's relief, Aaron is at home preparing to deal with his blood stained clothing.

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 8

John medical bag in tow has arrived with Aaron to the depot but they find Anthony dead, Aaron reels at the realisation he's killed someone and now faces the consequences.

Aaron knows he faces prison, it's over for him he says he's sorry to John, he promises he didn't mean to kill him. John says don't say sorry he's not losing him because of that creature! He was dying anyway. Aaron says as soon as they find his body that's it.

John says what if there is no body to be found, Aaron says it's his mess he should clean it, John asks if he's done this before, Aaron hasn't but John has in the army. John says to Aaron he can help by letting him do this on his own, he'll work faster.

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 7

Aaron says he wanted to kill Anthony, John says in a questioning way but he didn't? Aaron confirms he didn't. He was ready to drive him to the police station but then he started talking. Aaron asks why did he talk at him. John reasoned Anthony like his dad thought prison was worse than death.

Aaron says to John he doesn't know how he did it but he walked away as he starts to struggle John grabs Aaron pulling him into an embrace trying to soothe him.

Aaron thinks he's done with now, going to prison himself but John says they have to go back they can't leave Anthony there to die. Aaron spits out he's a monster! John says to Aaron but he's not.

Emmerdale 23.01.25 Part 6

Aaron struggles to tell John what happened it only says it's bad, but eventually tells John he knows where Anthony is & says he nearly killed him.

Aaron says knowing what Anthony did, knowing what he is, brought everything back to him about Gordon, everything he always tried to hide, the anger in him as he paces, becoming agitated again. Aaron says he knew what he was going to do before he even done it.

Aaron says when he was looking at him (Anthony) all he could see was his dad, he wasn't a scared little kid anymore he was ready to kill him. John says but he didn't? Aaron says to John he will say it didn't make him feel better but in that moment it did it really did!
