I’m angry often these days.

I’m angry at the tension in my chest, my ear drums my eyes, my head. It feels like crying. Tears missing, vaporized by my fuming. I can’t turn it off on days like today when it sits in my body, my spirit emanating a need for space. Bc it frustration that gets me. The desire to be still. To have a moment of quiet.

I am not well. I feel unwell. I’ve spent the last two months in tears to the point that it feels like the start of some story I can’t tell yet. I’m gathering evidence: voice notes and photos and notes. I’m trying not to let the anger touch those who are trying their best.

It’s not working.

I’m not an angry person just a practical one, to a fault. I like order for sense to make sense. I like to know I tried all I could to make something right. I can’t explain it today. I’ll try for tomorrow.

I hate how men drive with so much anger, whipping the car around, foot on the gas speeding. They all remind me of my dad on the way back from church, too hungry to think straight. I’d always go up to my room and lie down for nearly an hour until I felt good enough to stand again.

The anger is dizzying. It’s been hard to feel clearly. I love neat emotions like joy and sadness that speak how they feel clearly. Anger and sadness are twins. Anger is the spunky one that doesn’t know how to show it cares other than caring too much. At least that’s what my anger feels like. It feels like all my care is mangled inside me waiting to burst into tears. It’s infuriating. I circle of fire.
