If you are an American artist/fan, change your pixiv account region! Because there's new censorship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Number 5. If your drawing has no 'educational/scientific/artistic value' it won't be allowed to exist. These new censorship are absolute nonsense pushed by credit card company and conservative politicians. Fucking bonkers
It's the same thing when Tumblr banned NSFW and they promised that 'artistic nudity' will still be 'allowed'. I hope every purist on the internet realized that when they whine over anime fan art they are repeating what conservative billionaires and politician are pushing:
The death of art...

We interrupt our usual broadcast to ask the USAmericans out there, please make plans to go vote for Harris.
What ever you think of Kamala Harris, remember the other guy is basically a fascist.
One of the two will take office after the election - there is no other possibility.
Please do your part in keeping Trump out of power. Go vote for Harris.

I think there should be more weirdly neutral conspiracy theories about politicians, so here are two I'm proposing:
Donald Trump doesn't eat bacon
Kamala Harris has a 3DS and makes her political opponents into Miis
Feel free to expand upon

Everyone here thinks you have to 100% agree with your chosen politician/leader. I hate to say this but if you agree with everything, as in absolutely everything, they say, you are in a cult/likely brainwashed.

I'm wonder if we don't use the word evil enough in politics.
The Harris campaign spent all of its time trying to appeal to the moderate Republican. But they of course didn't care. The Republican party is all in on the convicted felon they have twice elected.
A man who used his position as president to cyberbully a teenage girl. A man who has been accused by numerous women of sexual assault. Who has been reported by his own staff as saying that he wanted Adolf Hitler's generals. Who lies as easily as he breathes, and has now threatened military action against our closest allies.
When Florida was hit by a hurricane just a couple months ago, the Biden administration didn't hesitate to provide disaster relief. Democrats don't hesitate to provide disaster relief when American citizens are in danger.
No human being capable of compassion, no human being with the slightest bit of a soul, would attach strings to the disaster relief of fellow Americans. And yet, as wildfires sweep California, Republicans threaten aid.
Democrats keep trying to appeal to Republicans, Kamala Harris thought that she could do it by bringing in all of these anti-trump Republicans to endorse her.
It didn't work. Republicans still overwhelmingly support Donald Trump and what he stands for.
Democrats need to get it through their heads that you cannot appeal to the humanity of Republicans because they have none. At least, not in any of the traits that we value in our fellow humans. They do not have love for their fellow man, they do not have compassion for others. They want Californians to burn and to suffer. They are actively trying to deny disaster aid to Democrat states to make sure that it hurts the people who voted against them.
These are not the actions of people who you can convince by appealing to their hearts and souls. These are the actions of monsters.
For another example, there is a bill being proposed in Oklahoma that would make it illegal for cities to, of their own choice, use funds to support homeless shelters and programs to benefit homeless people when their populations are under 300,000. Essentially, only Tulsa and Oklahoma City would be allowed to provide funds for homeless shelters.
This itself seems like an act of pure, malevolent evil. There is no logical reason to do this. Even if the state didn't want to fund these places themselves, why strip that right from individual cities to do so with their own funding? Why make a law so specifically designed to hurt homeless people?
But then I had a thought...
Tumblr media
Do you get it yet?
You take the funding away from every other place in the state. Homeless shelters shut down everywhere. And what do the homeless people do? Where do they go? Right... To the only two cities where they can actually find homeless shelters and programs to support homeless people. And now these two cities that voted against you are suddenly strapped with the burden of providing for the homeless of the entire state!
And you know what, there is probably an element of racism here too. Because while Oklahoma City is still ran by a white Republican mayor, Tulsa just elected its first black mayor in history. (Also, the first Democrat since 2006 which could also play a role.)
The city that a hundred years ago was home to black Wall Street before it was destroyed in a massacre just elected its first black mayor ever. And the Republican response just a couple months later seems to be to funnel homeless people into the city from around the state to artificially create a homelessness crisis in Tulsa.
This is who Republicans are. They will gladly hurt their own citizens just to make sure that they can hurt minorities and people on the other side.
Have I communicated the sheer evil of the Republican party yet?
Why does it feel like we aren't calling this out enough? Like we spend so much time trying to appeal to people who aren't acting out of anything but petty hate and a desire to hurt anyone who isn't like them?
Why don't we call evil for what it is?

There are 2 things I hate most about election season that have been rly pissing me off the last couple months
1. Living with supporters of a fascist dictator
2. Ppl who agree with me on most things telling me to vote for someone else because they don't understand how a 2 party system with a broken electoral college works

#maybe I was naive before and/or maybe I'm just bonedead tired af and not making much sense (i know I am)#bue the thing is if you had asked me before this night why the USA have never had a female president unlike so many comparable countries#I would have...attributed like 50%-80% of the reason to structural causes and the obsession with male candidates#yes there are extremely regressive and misogynistic regions and subcultures in the US - but that is true for most countries!#it is also a country with some VERY progressive people#and I don't know any country where so many people are so constantly actively and vocally arguing in favour of FINALLY having a female leade#so yeah I attributed it mostly to the general obstacles for female politicians and how elections in the US work and even past candidates#and I guess a big part of me wanted to believe that all this clownery of men saying they feel emasculated voting for a woman#was just a special sub-category of freakishness that gets pushed into the spotlight during the election#but at this point (dead-tired and annoyed as all shit)...I'm at the point where I say the United States have an almost unique problem#with voting for a woman + the idea of having a female president#maybe it's the huge role of the military and the president as leader of the troops or maybe it's the impact of evangelicals on the culture#maybe it is the role of gender roles in pop culture being so deeply entrenched#obviously this election racism and Harris being a woman of colour also plays a huge role#but at the point I am it genuinely feels to me like there's a very specific hang-up in the US regarding female candidates#and I know a lot of people are going to end up saying: 'oh it has nothing to do with it it has nothing to do with gender'#and I would have had that discussion and said that the issue with discrimination is that often you can't prove the individual case#but at this point....specifically with the US I have a hard time being like 'maybe it was maybe it wasn't' in regards to this factor#sorry to say
