Oni and its surroundings are a steeped in rich Jewish history, with the earliest Jewish settlers arriving 2,600 years ago and for centuries constituting almost half of the total population. In the oldest part of the town still stands a beautiful synagogue, designed by a Polish architect and built by Ottoman Jews from Thessaloniki in the 19th century. In the 1950s, the Soviet authorities were going to demolish it. However, when they came to the synagogue, they found a crowd of local Christians and Jews who surrounded the building from all sides, forcing the Chekists to retreat.

do yall understand how alienating it is to see huge masterposts of queer and mental health resources but none of them are in your state because theyre all up north? and nobody seems to want to fix this glaring issue because "they're all hicks anyways"

Southern people deserve better. we deserve to be taken seriously and given a voice in the queer community and the mental health space and leftist talks in general.

Didgori Battle Memorial is located on top of the Didgori mountain, Georgia. It was designed in the 90s by sculptor Merab Berdzenishvili and architect Tamaz Gabunia to commemorate the battle of Didgori fought in 1121. The monument consists of a number of massive sculptures of swords embedded in the ground, which can be interpreted as cemetery crosses.

There is something really, uh, telling, about how Jimmy Carter’s presidency was widely considered to be a “failure,” and he also is INARGUABLY the U.S. president who has done the most to promote human rights around the world.

Like we literally have a sliver of a chance at getting Blue Georgia and Blue North Carolina in this years election and genuinely it feels like people are just willing to throw that out. Hell, even Texas over the past 20 years has had a BIG shift in voting habits.
