[ 📹 Scenes from the destruction wrought by an Israeli occupation airstrike which targeted a vehicle being driven by 7 foreign aid workers belonging to the World Central Kitchen, killing all inside. Among the dead included foreign citizens of Britain, Poland, and Australia, along with a dual American and Canadian citizen. The aid organization said it had coordinated the movements of its personnel with the Israeli authorities, who knew the vehicle contained humanitarian aid workers.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🚀🚙💥 🚨
ISRAELI OCCUPATION BOMBS FOREIGN AID WORKERS, CONTINUES BOMBING ACROSS GAZA ON DAY 179 OF GENOCIDE
On the 179th day of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a total of 7 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 71 Palestinians, mostly women and children, while another 102 others were wounded over the previous 24-hours.
In the latest occupation atrocity, the Zionist army bombed the vehicle of a group of Foreign aid personnel working for the World Central Kitchen (WCK), killing 7 employees, including 6 foreigners.
"World Central Kitchen is devastated to confirm seven members of our team have been killed in an IDF strike in Gaza," the organization said in a statement on its website.
According to the World Central Kitchen, despite coordinating the organization's movements with the Israeli occupation army, a convoy including two armored cars branded with the WCK logo and one soft-skin vehicle that were carrying the WCK team while it was traveling through a "deconflicted zone" was struck by an Israeli bomb, destroying at least one of the vehicles.
WCK says the team was leaving their Deir al-Balah warehouse, in the central Gaza Strip, where their teams unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza through a maritime route, when the convoy was targeted by Zionist forces.
“This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war. This is unforgivable,” World Central Kitchen CEO, Erin Gore is quoted as saying.
The seven foreign aid workers killed in the Zionist strike included citizens from Australia, Poland, the United Kingdom, as well as a dual-citizen of the United States and Canada, and one Palestinian.
“I am heartbroken and appalled that weWorld Central Kitchen and the world—lost beautiful lives today because of a targeted attack by the IDF. The love they had for feeding people, the determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished,” Erin Gore added.
In response to the International outcry over the atrocity, the Israeli occupation authorities said they will be “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.”
The World Central Kitchen has suspended its operations in Gaza as a result of the incident.
In yet another atrocity yesterday, the Israeli occupation army bombed the Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital of Damascus, killing several high-level Iranian officials, including 7 military advisors of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
In response to the strike, Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in an announcement issued on Tuesday that the "evil Zionist regime will regret" it's crime of assasinating Iran's military advisors in Syria.
The Iranian leader said that both Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, and his deputy, General Mohammed Hadi Haji Rahimi were killed in the strike, which targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, declaring the crime was perpetrated by the "usurping and dispicable" Zionist regime.
“The evil regime will be punished by our brave men. We will make them regret this crime and other ones, by God's will," the Iranian leader added.
As Israel's crimes spread outside the occupied Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, and into the wider West Asian region, the bombing inside Palestine continued unabated.
In just one example, local civil defense crews recovered the bodies of six Palestinians who were killed, including two children, along with a number of wounded civilians, following a Zionist occupation airstrike targeting the Zarub family home, located in the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
In another atrocity, several Palestinians were killed and a large number wounded after occupation artillery shelling targeted a number of residential buildings in the city of Khan Yunis, also in the south of Gaza, focusing artillery fire on the eastern and central parts of the city.
Meanwhile, Zionist warplanes bombed the al-Bashir Mosque, in the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, martyring a several civilians, including the death of at least one child, and wounding at least 20 others, while also dealing significant damage to neighboring residential buildings.
Similarly, Zionist fighter jets fired several missiles that slammed into two residential homes in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, while occupation artillery shelling targeted the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, along with the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood, martyring three civilians and wounding six others.
Over the last day, as the Zionist occupation army withdrew from the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, located in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, which had been the largest and most well-equipped hospital in the entire Gaza Strip, a scene of mass destruction and carnage was revealed, with hundreds of bodies littering the hospital grounds, including some bodies discovered with handcuffed wrists, having been extra-judicially executed in cold-blood.
Among the bodies recovered from Al-Shifa were doctors and healthcare personnel, along with entire Palestinian families, which the Gaza Media Office says were just a small part of the roughly 400 citizens that were killed in two weeks of fighting near the hospital.
About another 900 Palestinians were arrested or detained by Zionist forces under suspicion of belonging to Resistance groups, while the Hospital buildings themselves were nearly completely destroyed, blown to pieces and left as scorched shells by the American bombs dropped on them by the Israeli occupation army.
As a result of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, the infinitely rising death toll has now exceeded 32'916 Palestinians killed, more than 25'000 of which being among women and children, while an additional 75'494 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression beginning on October 7th, 2023.

[Fox News is Private, Pro-GOP US Media]
"I welcome the U.S. and coalition operations against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists responsible for violently disrupting international commerce in the Red Sea and attacking American vessels," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said in a statement. "President Biden’s decision to use military force against these Iranian proxies is overdue."
"I am hopeful these operations mark an enduring shift in the Biden Administration’s approach to Iran and its proxies. To restore deterrence and change Iran’s calculus, Iranian leaders themselves must believe that they will pay a meaningful price unless they abandon their worldwide campaign of terror," he added.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Mike McCaul, R-Texas, who said he was meeting with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff when the strikes were called, also praised the actions. He also called on Biden to restore the Houthis' terror designation.
"I’m pleased the president, in coordination with our allies, finally took action against the Iran-backed Houthis following weeks of instability in the Red Sea. Tonight, with these strikes, we are beginning to restore deterrence. The administration must acknowledge it was a mistake to rescind the Houthis designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, and re-list them immediately," he said.
Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, similarly called the action "overdue" and accused the Biden administration of contributing to the increasingly hostile situation in the Red Sea, but said the strikes were "a good first step toward restoring deterrence in the Red Sea."[...]
["]It is important that we follow this action in close consultation with our Saudi partners to ensure they are with us as the situation develops," Wicker said.[...]
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., an ally of former President Trump's, said he was "very supportive of the Biden Administration’s decision to strike Houthi rebels who have been harassing international shipping and trying to attack Israeli and American interests."[...]
Even rank-and-file Republicans have been issuing cautious and rare praise for the move. Rep. John James, R-Mich., a military combat veteran who served in Iraq, told Fox News Digital, "The Houthis are a terrorist organization. They have been striking at U.S. military personnel since late last year and must be destroyed."[...]
"While I support these targeted, proportional military strikes, I call on the Biden Administration to continue its diplomatic efforts to avoid escalation to a broader regional war and continue to engage Congress on the details of its strategy and legal basis as required by law," Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said.

The Israeli Air Force carried out massive airstrikes on the Haret Hreik area in Dahiye, in the southern suburb of Beirut, on 27 September, leveling at least six buildings to the ground.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the munitions used in the attack were US-made, MK84 ‘bunker-buster’ bombs and weighed one ton.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that at least two people were killed and 76 wounded in the initial toll. However, countless bodies are currently under the rubble.
”Our personnel are working to extinguish the fire that broke out in the southern suburbs of Beirut and continue to evacuate the injured and retrieve the martyrs," the Lebanese Civil Defense said.
[...]
The Israeli army claimed in a statement that the target of the massive attack was an underground "central Hezbollah headquarters."
Israeli media later reported that the target of the attack was Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
Hezbollah media relations official Muhammad Afif told Iranian TV that “His Eminence the Secretary-General is fine and well, and was not at the targeted location.”
Tasnim News Agency, citing Lebanese sources, reported that no senior leaders of Hezbollah were killed in the Israeli attack.
Israeli newspaper Maariv said, citing Israeli officials, that the assassination was “successful.”
Hours after the widescale attack, the British government called on UK nationals in Lebanon to leave immediately.
The brutal bombing was carried out shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the UN General Assembly in New York.

April 19
On Iran:
Israel’s attack on Iran.
Small drones were somehow launched from within Iran targeting an airbase in Isfahan. Iran shot them down, reporting no damage caused
It’s a limited response to Iran’s retaliation which launched drones & missiles at Israel after Israel attacked Iran’s consulate, killing 16. Israel is yet to confirm the attack but it told US last minute of the operation
The attack’s limited nature is Israel balancing US pressure to de-escalate while trying to show regional military dominance, consistent w/ reports that US & Israel agreed on a Rafah invasion in exchange for no Iran escalation. An anonymous Israeli official said it was to signal Israel’s ability to strike inside Iran
Iran is downplaying the incident, likely so they won’t have to respond. An official called it “reckless fireworks”
Unclear if Israel will attack again; Iran said they don’t plan to retaliate. Seems there’s no Iranian or Israeli desire to escalate, especially w/ mass global calls for de-escalation

A few weeks after shooting down a swarm of Iranian drones during the defense of Israel, the 494º U.S. Air Force Fighter Squadron is back at the RAF Base of Lakenheath, in the United Kingdom, sporting a new and intriguing painting.
Tumblr media
Photos publicly released by the U.S. Air Force show the F-15E Strike Eagles returning to their home in the 48ª Fighter Wing with vivid art on their nose, as well as missile markings and bombs alluding to their exploits in the region.
Tumblr media
Photos of an F-15E nicknamed "Hellcat" show the aircraft painted with more than two dozen bomb marks, suggesting that he launched a large amount of ammunition. The plane was also decorated with nine red missiles, indicating numerous air-to-air combat. An F-15 called "RAWR" boasts more than a dozen missile and bomb marks. Another jet, "El Jefe", carries multiple bomb marks and a missile mark. The "Mullet" carries nine missile markings and numerous bomb markings. Yet another F-15 has nine missile markings and five bomb markings. These are just some of the F-15s that have recently returned to their base.
Tumblr media
Photos released by the Air Force show that the first jets arrived on May 8, and a spokesman for the Air Forces Central (AFCENT) confirmed on May 10 that the 494º Fighter Squadron had returned to the RAF Base of Lakenheath.
Tumblr media
Violence in the Middle East increased after Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7 and Israel's subsequent military operation against the group in Gaza, causing unrest throughout the region.
In February, the U.S. conducted airstrikes against targets in Iraq and Syria in response to more than 170 attacks on U.S. troops and recently helped Israel defend itself from a massive drone and missile attack from Iran.
Tumblr media
In April, U.S. Air Force aircraft shot down more than 70 drones that Iran launched against Israel on the night of April 13 and in the early morning hours of April 14. These planes included F-15Es of the 494º Fighter Squadron and the 335º Seymour-Johnson Air Base Fighter Squadron, North Carolina, as well as American F-16s.
Tumblr media
"I am very confident and proud of our joint strength and what they were able to do with our allies and partners," said Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown Jr., to reporters on April 26.
The 494º Fighter Squadron first arrived at CENTCOM in October, a few days after the Hamas attack. More F-15E were rushed to the region on April 12, just one day before Iran's attack.
"One of the fighter squadrons appeared, like, the day before, and was right in the middle of the flight, and that says something about our level of training, our level of capacity," Brown said.
The 335º Seymour-Johnson Fighter Squadron is now the only F-15E squadron in the region, deployed in the Middle East along with the F-16 and A-10. The A-10s of the 104º Maryland National Guard Fighter Squadron and Seymour-Johnson's F-15E recently completed a three-week Desert Flag exercise.
Tumblr media
"Maintaining multi-capable and ready teams is essential to fulfill the mission," said AFCENT commander, Lieutenant General Derek C. France, in a statement of May 9 reflecting on his first month in charge. "I was impressed by the level of dedication of AFCENT's aviators. They have been operating beyond my expectations and I am extremely proud to be part of this team."

Shame on you, USA Today!
This is the shoddiest piece of "journalism" I have ever seen. @usatoday
Examples (emphasis mine):
"Explosions were heard in Iran after Israel launched missile strikes in retaliation for a barrage of more than 300 drones and missiles fired by Tehran over the weekend..."
"It was unclear what targets had been hit inside Iran. Iran's weekend swarm of munitions and Israel's response marked the first direct exchanges of fire between the regional arch-enemies."
"Israel, the U.S. and other regional and Western allies joined forces on Saturday to blast hundreds of Iranian drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles out of the sky after they were fired at Israel."
"That attack was itself an act of retaliation after Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khameni, blamed Israel for an airstrike on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus, Syria, that killed several people including a leading Revolutionary Guards commander."
"Officials have been on edge about the possibility of a regional war since the Palestinian militant group Hamas rampaged across southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,200 and taking more than 200 people hostage. More than 30,000 Palestinians have died in the ensuing six months in Israeli airstrikes and ground fire, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry."
Language -- and how you use it -- matters, dammit.
It matters what words you use to describe an action. The word you choose tells the reader context clues about what is an acceptable action and what is not. It influences viewpoints about what you are reporting on. Using words and phrases like "barrage" and "swarm of munitions" while painting Israel's actions as a simple "response" without context is a gross manipulation tactic.
It is a gross manipulation tactic to paint the actions of "Israel, the U.S. and other regional and Western allies" as this heroic and epic fantasy where they "joined forces" and "blasted" enemy fire "out of the sky" after they were "fired at Israel." Why did they fire at Israel? Go on, you reported on it. Despite the fact that this linked article features the same shameful use of deliberate word choices to manipulate your readers, you even quoted the Iranian ambassador Hossein Akbari saying that the Iranian response would be "the same magnitude and harshness." Is that not what the terrible "barrage" of missiles and drones fired over the weekend was? Surely, you will bring this up in the article.
"The attack was itself an act of retaliation..." Great, we are going to mention that Israel attacked Iran first. "... after Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khameni, blamed Israel for an airstrike on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus, Syria." What the fuck. Not only do you then continue on to diminish the lives lost in that airstrike using word choices like "killed several people" and then highlighting one's military connections. It is a blatant manipulation tactic to frame Israel's attack as retaliatory due to an accusation of violence that only "killed several people." Fuck you for diminishing the lives of those in the Middle East living this fucking war/nightmare. Fuck you.
And then, to add insult to injury, you use more inflammatory language to associate Palestinians with a "militant group" called Hamas that "rampaged across southern Israel on Oct. 7." Is Hamas a part of local authority in Gaza? Yes. But painting Palestinians in broad brush strokes with that tone and word association is extremely dangerous and damaging. It's almost similar to how Israeli propaganda speaks about Palestinians...
You then discredit any reporting about the "self defense" that Israel has visited on Gaza and Palestine in the 6 months since October. You do this by stating that the shocking idea of "30,000 Palestinian deaths" (which has already been reported on by far more reputable news sources... though they have their own faults) is the reported deaths by the "Hamas-run Gaza health ministry." Since you have already done the job of describing Hamas as a "militant group" that "rampages" across Israel, do you think that associating the most reliable death count with the "enemy" isn't a disgusting manipulation tactic that belittles and diminishes the very real genocide happening against the Palestinians? Caused by their occupier, Israel?
You aren't news or journalism like you frame yourself to be through your website layout, articles, and tv shows. You are propaganda, bought and paid for by the Israeli occupation. You are on the wrong side of history.
I hope that you and the Western media that have used similar tactics are used in future journalism classes at universities and colleges around the world. I hope you are used as an example of terrible, bad reporting informed only by biases and internal memos telling you what to say. I am disgusted.
Fuck Israel. Fuck the IOF. Fuck Western media.

Exclusive: Hezbollah handed out pagers hours before blasts - even after checks
BEIRUT, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Lebanon's Hezbollah was still handing its members new Gold Apollo branded pagers hours before thousands of the devices blew up this week, two security sources said, indicating the group was confident they were safe despite an ongoing sweep of electronic kit to identify threats.
One member of the Iranian-backed militia received a new pager on Monday that exploded the next day while it was still in its box, said one of the sources.
A pager given to a senior member just days earlier injured a subordinate when it detonated, the second source said.
In an apparently coordinated attack, the Gold Apollo branded devices detonated on Tuesday across Hezbollah's strongholds of south Lebanon, Beirut's suburbs and the eastern Bekaa valley.
On Wednesday, hundreds of Hezbollah walkie-talkies exploded. The consecutive attacks killed 37 people, including at least two children, and injured more than 3,000 people.
Lebanon and Hezbollah say Israel was behind the attacks. Israel's secretive military intelligence Unit 8200 was involved in the planning, a Western security source told Reuters this week. Israel, which has since stepped up airstrikes on Lebanon, has neither denied or confirmed involvement.
The batteries of the walkie-talkies were laced with a highly explosive compound known as PETN, another Lebanese source familiar with the device's components told Reuters on Friday. Up to three grams of explosives hidden in the pagers had gone undetected for months by Hezbollah, Reuters reported earlier this week.
One of the security sources said it was very hard to detect the explosives "with any device or scanner." The source did not specify what type of scanners Hezbollah had run the pagers through.
Hezbollah examined the pagers after they were delivered to Lebanon, starting in 2022, including by travelling through airports with them to ensure they would not trigger alarms, two additional sources told Reuters. In total, Reuters spoke to six sources familiar with the details of the exploding devices for this story.
The sources did not specify the name of the airports where they conducted the tests.
Rather than a specific suspicion of the pagers, the checks had been part of a routine "sweep" of its equipment, including communications devices, to find any indications that they were laced with explosives or surveillance mechanisms, one of the security sources said.
The attacks, and the distribution of the devices despite the routine sweep and checks for breaches, have struck at Hezbollah's reputation as the most formidable of Iran's allied 'Axis of Resistance' umbrella of anti-Israel irregular forces across the Middle East.
In a televised speech on Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said the attacks were "unprecedented in the history" of the group.
Hezbollah's media office and Israel's armed forces did not immediately respond to requests for comment for this story.
Taiwan-based Gold Apollo has said it did not manufacture the devices used in the attack, saying they were made by a company in Europe licensed to use the firm's brand. Reuters has not been able to establish where they were made or at what point they were tampered with.
A batch of 5,000 of the pagers were brought into Lebanon earlier this year. Reuters previously reported that Hezbollah turned to pagers in an attempt to evade Israeli surveillance of its mobile phones, following the killing of senior commanders in targeted airstrikes over the past year.
Hezbollah's conflict with Israel dates back decades but has flared up in the past year in parallel with the Gaza war, heightening worries of a full-blown regional war.
TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE
After the pagers detonated on Tuesday, Hezbollah suspected more of its devices may have been compromised, two of the security sources, as well as an intelligence source, told Reuters.
In response, it intensified the sweep of its communications systems, carrying out careful examinations of all devices. It also began investigating the supply chains through which the pagers were brought in, the two security sources said.
But the review had not been concluded by Wednesday afternoon, when the hand-held radios exploded.
Hezbollah believes that Israel opted to detonate the group's hand-held radios because it feared Hezbollah would soon find that the walkie-talkies were also rigged with explosives, one of the sources told Reuters.
The walkie-talkie explosions left 25 people dead and at least 650 injured, according to Lebanon's health ministry - a much higher fatality rate than the previous day's pager blasts, which killed 12 and wounded nearly 3,000.
That is because they carried a higher payload of explosives than the beepers, one of the security sources and the intelligence source said.
The group's probe into precisely where, when and how the devices were laced with explosives is ongoing, three of the sources said. Nasrallah later said the same in the speech on Thursday.
One of the security sources said Hezbollah had foiled previous Israeli operations targeting devices imported from abroad by the group - from its private landline telephones to ventilation units in the group's offices.
That includes suspected breaches in the past year.
"There are several electronic issues that we were able to discover - but not the pagers," the source said. "They tricked us, hats off to the enemy."

Julian Borger at The Guardian:
The sight of missiles descending on Tel Aviv on Tuesday night was the clearest sign imaginable that the regional conflict so widely feared over the past year may finally have ignited.
This is the second Iranian aerial attack on Israel in less than six months, but last time there was several days’ notice; the much slower drones and cruise missiles arrived first, and the principal target was a military base in the underpopulated Negev desert. This time, the ballistic missiles arrived first at the end of a 12-minute flight time and the targets appear to have included dense urban areas. In the local press, Israeli officials were being quoted as describing the assault as an Iranian declaration of war. Despite the fact that there were no casualties, the fact that cities were targeted will be critical to Israel’s response. After Iran’s April attack, the reprisal was largely performative. The only target hit inside Iran was an air defence outpost on a military base near Isfahan. After Israeli citizens were so clearly threatened on Tuesday night, Benjamin Netanyahu can be expected to respond in a far more comprehensive manner. The options will already have been drawn up, ready for the war cabinet to select, and the target list can be expected to be substantial. It could include Iran’s nuclear facilities.
On Tuesday, it was the White House which first raised the alert of the imminent Iranian missile launch, presumably with the aim of robbing the attack of its element of surprise, and with the faint hope of deterring it. That having failed, the US briefing to journalists before the launch had the residual political benefit of showing that Washington had at least not been taken by surprise. For all the dangers this attack poses for the Middle East, it also threatens to have a significant impact on US politics, five weeks before a knife-edge presidential election, one in which Donald Trump has been seeking to paint the administration led by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as haplessly out of its depth on the world stage.
The US has failed over many months to broker a hostages-for-peace deal in Gaza, and its efforts with France to negotiate a ceasefire in Lebanon over the course of the UN general assembly last week also fell flat, to say the least. Israel’s response came on Friday, soon after Netanyahu addressed the UN from New York, with the airstrike that killed Hezbollah leader and Iran’s leading partner in the region, Hassan Nasrallah. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Tuesday night’s missile attack was a reprisal for Nasrallah’s death, and for the assassination at the end of July of the Hamas political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, while he was a guest in Tehran. Since the outbreak of the Gaza war on 7 October last year, Biden officials have claimed credit for preventing the violence from becoming a regional conflict. That claim no longer carries weight. After the last Iranian missile attack on Israel in April, the administration urged restraint on Israel in its response, using the leverage of US air defence assistance to persuade Netanyahu to “take the win” of shooting down nearly all the incoming projectiles. This time, the US had reportedly signalled to Tehran that in the event of a second Iranian attack, it would not and could not be a restraining influence.
Israel, Lebanon, and Iran kicking off a new round of tensions in the Middle East.

At least nine Yemeni employees of United Nations agencies have been detained by Yemen’s Houthi rebels under unclear circumstances, authorities said Friday, as the rebels face increasing financial pressure and airstrikes from a US-led coalition.
Others working for aid groups also likely have been taken.
The detentions come as the Houthis, who seized Yemen’s capital nearly a decade ago and have been fighting a Saudi-led coalition since shortly after, have been targeting shipping throughout the Red Sea corridor over the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip.
But while gaining more attention internationally, the secretive group has cracked down at dissent at home, including recently sentencing 44 people to death.
Regional officials, speaking to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to brief journalists, confirmed the UN detentions.
Those held include staff from the United Nations human rights agency, its development program, the World Food Program and one working for the office of its special envoy, the officials said.
The wife of one of those held is also detained.
The UN declined to immediately comment.
The Mayyun Organization for Human Rights, which similarly identified the UN staffers held, named other aid groups whose employees were detained by the Houthis across four provinces the Houthis hold — Amran, Hodeida, Saada and Saana.
Those groups did not immediately acknowledge the detentions.
“We condemn in the strongest terms this dangerous escalation, which constitutes a violation of the privileges and immunities of United Nations employees granted to them under international law, and we consider it to be oppressive, totalitarian, blackmailing practices to obtain political and economic gains,” the organization said in a statement.
Activists, lawyers and others also began an open online letter, calling on the Houthis to immediately release those detained, because if they don’t, it “helps isolate the country from the world.”
Yemen’s Houthi rebels and their affiliated media organizations did not immediately acknowledge the detentions.
However, the Iranian-backed rebels planned for weekly mass demonstrations after noon prayers Friday, when Houthi officials typically speak on their actions.
It’s unclear what exactly sparked the detentions.
However, it comes as the Houthis have faced issues with having enough currency to support the economy in areas they hold — something signaled by their move to introduce a new coin into the Yemeni currency, the royal.
Yemen’s exiled government in Aden and other nations criticized the move as the Houthis turning to counterfeiting. Aden authorities also have demanded all banks move their headquarters there.
“Internal tensions and conflicts could spiral out of control and lead Yemen into complete economic collapse,” warned Yemeni journalist Mohammed Ali Thamer in an analysis published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Bloomberg separately reported Thursday that the US planned to further increase economic pressure on the Houthis by blocking their revenue sources, including a planned $1.5 billion Saudi payment to cover salaries for government employees in rebel-held territory.
The war in Yemen has killed more than 150,000 people, including fighters and civilians, and created one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters, killing tens of thousands more.
The Houthis’ attacks on shipping have helped deflect attention from their problems at home and the stalemated war.
But they’ve faced increasing casualties and damage from US-led airstrikes targeting the group for months now.
Thousands have been imprisoned by the Houthis during the war.
An AP investigation found some detainees were scorched with acid, forced to hang from their wrists for weeks at a time or were beaten with batons.

US launches new strikes against Houthis in Yemen
US Central Command (Centcom) claimed that the United States launched new strikes against Houthi missiles in Yemen on Sunday.
Centcom reported that US forces struck a land-attack cruise missile and four anti-ship missiles that “were prepared to launch against ships in the Red Sea.”
The Houthi attacks have forced major shipping companies to avoid the waterway, adversely affecting international trade. For instance, Egypt stated that its revenues from the Suez Canal nearly halved in January, with the number of ships passing through the canal falling by more than a third.
The White House earlier warned that its airstrikes against Iranian-backed targets in Iraq and Syria were only “the beginning, not the end” of its response to Iran. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stated on Sunday that “there will be more steps.”

[ 📹 A group of Palestinian children visiting the graves of those killed in "Israel's" special genocide operation in Gaza are frightened by sudden and intense Zionist machine gunfire, causing the children to jump up in fear and run, a reaction that speaks to the horrors Palestinian children have endured during the Zionist genocide.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🏘️💥🚑 🚨
ISRAELI OCCUPATION LAUNCHES SURPRISE ATTACK ON CENTRAL GAZA ON DAY 188 OF ISRAELI GENOCIDE
On the 188th day of "Israel's" special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed several new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 63 Palestinians citizens, mostly women and children, while another 45 others have been wounded over the previous 24-hours.
Even as most Arab and Muslim-majority countries have put on hold discussions to normalize relations with the Israeli entity, Indonesia today, in coordination with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), has reached an agreement for the normalization of relations with the Israeli occupation. The agreement comes as part of an effort to facilitate Indonesia's entry into the OECD.
In return for the normalization, the OECD asked that "Israel" not oppose Indonesia's accession into the organization, while the Israeli occupation authorities said they welcomed the breakthrough.
According to reports, Indonesia was seeking to join the OECD, which requires a consensus from all member-states, as well as normal relations between all members.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, visited on Thursday an F-15 airbase, where the occupation leader appeared to issue a threat to Iran, stating that "Israel" was ready for any potential attacks from neighboring countries, and added that the occupation would retaliate against anyone who harms the Zionist entity.
Speaking with F-15 pilots, Netanyahu said, “We are in challenging times. We are in the midst of a war in Gaza that is continuing with full force. In addition, we are continuing with ceaseless efforts to return our hostages, but we are also preparing for challenges from other fronts."
According to the Hebrew media, "Israel's" fleet of F-15 fighter jets are the "primary weapon for long-range strikes."
"We set a simple principle: Anyone who hits us, we hit them,” Netanyahu said in apparent reference to Iranian threats of retaliation for last week's bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Syrian capital.
“We are ready to fulfill our responsibilities to Israel’s security, in defense and attack," the occupation's Prime Minister added.
As the Zionist occupation's authorities prepared for a potential Iranian strike, the occupation army today launched a surprise assault on the central Gaza Strip.
According to the Zionist media, the IOF announced that it had launched a surprise "targeted operation" against Hamas in the central Gaza Strip, storming the outskirts of the Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp, which the occupation claims has largely gone "untouched" by Israeli forces until now.
The Zionist occupation army pummeled the Nuseirat Camp with intense airstrikes and artillery shelling at dawn before Israeli soldiers and armored vehicles moved to penetrate the Camp, where local reports say the forces with the Palestinian Resistance confronted the invading Zionist army.
The latest Israeli incursion into central Gaza comes on the heels of the decision by IOF leadership to withdraw all meneuvering ground forces from the Gaza Strip, leaving only a single brigade, the Nahal Brigade, to secure the so-called "Netzarim" corridor, which the Israeli army built to seperate the northern and southern halves of the Gaza Strip, running from Israeli colonial settlements near the border fence with Gaza to Gaza's Mediterranean coast.
According to the Zionist media, upon the opening strikes of the latest offensive, the Israeli occupation air forces bombed a residential building in the Nuseirat Camp, resulting in the deaths of at least 5 Palestinian civilians, while the Israeli media added that other residential buildings were also targeted.
IOF authorities told the Hebrew media that it continues to carry out strikes in the Camp, bombing and shelling dozens of "Hamas" targets, including supposed underground tunnel structures, while the occupation Navy launched several strikes near the Mediterranean coast in support of the ground forces penetrating central Gaza.
The Zionist entity said the operation was launched after receiving intelligence indicating "the presence of terror infrastructure and many terrorists in the area."
Intense battles raged in the early hours of Thursday morning between the invading occupation army and local Palestinian Resistance forces, who popped out from hidden tunnels, leading the Zionist air force to bomb the area where Resistance fighters emerged from.
Meanwhile, Zionist occupation forces ramped up their bombing and shelling across various sectors of the Gaza Strip, instensifying airstrikes on Gaza City, as well as the Nuseirat Camp, along with several strikes on the city of Rafah in the south of Gaza.
In one example, Israeli occupation fighter jets bombed a gathering of Palestinian civilians in the vicinity of the Eastern Cemetery, located to the east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of five Palestinians, who's bodies were transported to Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital.
At the same time, Zionist warplanes bombed residential buildings in the al-Geneina neighborhood, east of Rafah, in the south of Gaza, while two civilian were killed when occupation gunboats fired shells bombing Palestinian homes in the Beach Camp, also known as the Al-Shati Camp, west of Gaza City.
Zionist forces then bombed the aforementioned residential building in the Nuseirat Camp, which martyred five Palestinian civilians, while simultaneously, IOF fighter jets launched several firebelts targeting the Dhu al-Nourin Mosque, as well as the Moaz bin Jabal Mosque, north of the Nuseirat Camp.
As the Israeli occupation's bombing and shelling rapidly intensified, Zionist soldiers penetrated north of the Nuseirat Camp from the direction of Salah al-Din Street and the Al-Mughraqa area, while Israeli military helicopters provided machine-gun fire, and Israeli bombers destroyed a "large number of residential towers" in the city of Al-Zahra'a.
In yet another Israeli occupation airstrike, fighter jets targeted one of the Al-Salhi towers, north of Al-Nuseirat, while displaced civilians sheltering inside a UNRWA school reported shrapnel flying into classrooms and the school yard, resulting in fear and panic among the civilians.
Zionist occupation forces also bombarded agricultural lands surrounding the Sultan's palace hall in the Al-Maghazi Camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
In another criminal atrocity, Israeli occupation forces bombed the civilian vehicle belonging to the family of Hamas political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp as they celebrated Eid al-Fatr on Wednesday, killing three of Haniyeh's sons, as well as wounding his daughter. Haniyeh's grandchildren were also killed in the strike, as they were inside the vehicle at the time of the assault.
Several civilian casualties were also recorded in an airstrike targeting a residential home belonging to the Al-Yaziji family on al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City, while at the same time, Zionist air forces bombed a residential home in the Al-Fukhari neighborhood, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Occupation fighter jets also continued bombarding agricultural lands near the southern Palestine border with Egypt, though luckily, no casualties were reported in the strike.
Shortly before publishing, reports of yet another airstrike came in, with Palestinian media reporting four civilians martyred as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting the Feras Market area, in central Gaza City.
As a result of "Israel's" special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the infinitely rising death toll has now exceeded 33'545 Palestinians martyred, over 25'000 of which being women and children, while another 76'094 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression beginning on October 7th, 2023.

Attack by Iran imminent? The other shoe to drop?
COGwriter
The situation between Israel and Iran continues to heat up:
11 April 2024
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday appeared to reiterate his warning to Iran that Israel would retaliate if attacked, as the head of US Central Command (CENTCOM) Gen. Michael Kurilla arrived in Israel reportedly to discuss what US intelligence officials have described as an “imminent” threat from Tehran.
“We are in challenging times. We are in the midst of a war in Gaza that is continuing with full force. In addition, we are continuing with ceaseless efforts to return our hostages, but we are also preparing for challenges from other fronts,” Netanyahu told pilots as he visited an F-15 base.
Iran has repeatedly vowed to retaliate for an alleged Israeli strike last week on a consular building in its Damascus embassy complex, which killed two generals among several Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers. That incident came amid spiraling violence on Israel’s northern border due to near-daily attacks by the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group since October 8.
“We set a simple principle: Anyone who hits us, we hit them,” Netanyahu said in apparent reference to Iranian threats to carry out strikes against Israel. “We are ready to fulfill our responsibilities to Israel’s security, in defense and attack.” …
Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that “the evil regime made a mistake and must be punished, and it shall be,” referring to the attack in Damascus. …
However, unnamed US intelligence sources told CNN in a Monday report that Iran is unlikely to attack Israel directly out of fear of American and Israeli reprisal, and will instead urge its various proxies in the region to launch attacks on its behalf in the coming days.
Iran-backed terror groups have entered the fray across the region amid the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas, including rocket fire from Lebanon by Hezbollah and months of Yemen-based Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. https://www.timesofisrael.com/netanyahu-hints-at-retaliation-if-iran-attacks-as-centcom-chief-lands-in-israel/
A reader sent me a link to the following from Michael Snyder:
Waiting For The Other Shoe To Drop In The Middle East…
April 10, 2024
There has been a tremendous amount of speculation about when and how Iran will attack Israel.  In the aftermath of Israel’s stunning airstrike on a building directly next to the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Iranian officials pledged that there would be a very “harsh” response.  I take them at their word, and I am entirely convinced that a response is coming.  But exactly when that response will happen remains a mystery as I write this article.  So for now, we are waiting for the other shoe to drop.  According to Jennifer Jacobs, the senior White House reporter for Bloomberg, sources have told her that an attack on Israel is imminent…
When Iran finally attacks, most experts believe that Israeli military and government facilities will be targeted.
But if any Iranian missiles land in Israeli territory, Israel’s foreign minister is warning that his country will strike back…
We could literally be on the verge of witnessing the start of an all-out war between Israel and Iran.
Once they start lobbing missiles at one another, there is a very real possibility that a chain of events will be set in motion that nobody will be able to stop. …
Now Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has a decision to make.
He knows that Hamas cannot be destroyed unless the IDF goes into Rafah, but if the IDF goes into Rafah it could potentially cause the entire region to erupt in flames.
We shall see what happens, but at this stage is appears that the decision has already been made…
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that a date has been set for an Israeli invasion of Rafah, Gaza’s last refuge for displaced Palestinians, without disclosing that date as a new round of ceasefire talks take place in Cairo.
‘Today I received a detailed report on the talks in Cairo, we are constantly working to achieve our goals, first and foremost the release of all our hostages and achieving a complete victory over Hamas,’ Netanyahu said.
‘This victory requires entry into Rafah and the elimination of the terrorist battalions there. It will happen – there is a date.’
We will also want to keep a very close eye on the northern front.
According to the UN agreement that ended the last war, all Hezbollah forces are supposed to be located north of the Litani River. …
There are multiple ways that the conflict in the Middle East could spiral out of control.
I am entirely convinced that this will be the year that it happens.
But for the moment, we continue to wait for the next shoe to drop. https://endoftheamericandream.com/waiting-for-the-other-shoe-to-drop-in-the-middle-east/
Yes, Iran is upset, and yes Israel would be expected to retaliate if Iran directly attacks it.
As far as the timing goes, there are many reasons to believe that a major regional war will break out in 2024.
Jesus, of course, warned about these things and referred to them as the beginning of sorrows:
4 Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.  (Matthew 24:4-8)
Related to Iran, back in October of 2022, I posted:
I have long believed that Iran is a threat that will one day be ‘neutralized’ (Jeremiah 49:34-38), as I believe it will overplay its hand. Its confidence in its drones and other military technologies will likely get it to take destructive actions that will result in severe retaliation. … Now as Isaiah 22 shows, Israel could very well be damaged by Iran before the the Great Tribulation begins. Iranian drones may well be a factor. (Thiel B. Iran, Drones, Ukraine, and Israel. COGwriter, October 21, 2022)
As far as Iran itself goes, it wants to lead all of Islam. It hopes by one day attacking Israel (according to a video it put out over a decade ago), it will get the rest of the Muslims to follow it. However, it will fail to become the leader of Islam– the Bible points to an Arabic power doing that in Daniel 11:40-43. Because of that, I have long felt that it may be that Iran would be ‘neutralized’ before the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40) rises up.
The Bible shows that God will allow something that appears to be an Iranian-Syrian confederation, to strike the nation of Israel:
1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.
What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, “Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.”
5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord God of hosts In the Valley of Vision — Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain. 6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots,And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.
12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning,For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
14 Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,”Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,” says the Lord God of hosts.  (Isaiah 22:1-14 NKJV)
Elam, in this context, seems to be a reference to at least some in Iran. The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:
Iranians comprise nearly 70 percent of the country. Iranians, though Islamic, are totally distinct from the neighboring Arab peoples of the Middle East. They are a mixed people of the remnants of Media and Elam and other ancestors of Semitic and Hamitic stock. (Stump K. South Asia in Prophecy. Plain Truth, July/August 1986, p. 5)
Kir looks to point to Syria.  The Bible tells that after Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria took over Damascus, he moved Syrians to Kir.  While this does not mean that Kir must (or must only) be a reference to Syria, the fact that Syria is an ally of Iran is interesting.  Some believe Kir is an area in the south of Iran, while others suggest closer to the Black Sea. God’s word has the expression “the Syrians from Kir” (Amos 9:7), which is basically confirmation that Kir of Isaiah 22 would include Syrians. The Bible also tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).
In Isaiah 22: 8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem–and notice that the damage will be great. And if Israel is hit with great damage, it would seem it would hit Iran hard–perhaps even with a nuclear weapon.
Related to Iran, notice the following prophecy which indicates at least part of its destruction before the latter days:
34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, 35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might. 36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. 37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.
39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 49:34-39)
I have long been of the view that Iran would somehow be neutralized before the start of the Great Tribulation and that could happen in 2024.
As far as Iran and Israel go, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following Bible News Prophecy video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel, the audio portion of which was sent for broadcast on the European Gospel Radio station AM 1323 kHz:

Iran and Israel Conflict
European Union foreign policy chief, Josep Borrel, has been brokering the nuclear negotiations involving Iran and said that he thinks the deal is “in danger.” Iran blames the United States, whereas the USA says they are not delaying it. Israeli sources stated that Israel will stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Joe Biden says the USA would use its own military power to prevent Iran from getting such a bomb if need be. In 2021, Iranian lawmakers have submitted a bill seeking the government by law to commit to Israel’s destruction by the year 2040. Does the 22nd chapter of Isaiah point to damage coming to Israel from Iran and possibly Syria? Might Iran be concerned enough about limited progress with the USA to launch some type of attack? Is Iran the prophesied ‘King of the South’? Is it reasonable to think that the prophesied peace deal of Daniel 9:27 will not happen until after a military conflict. like a regional war? Should Christians watch the Middle East? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie discuss these matters.
Here is a link to our video: Iran and Israel Conflict.
As far as other prophecies go, let me also state that it would seem to take a major regional war for the coming temporal ‘peace deal’ of Daniel 9:27 to be ratified. Iran, Syria, and Israel may one day be in a major regional war soon. The USA could also be affected.
We are in the time Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows,” as it appears that two or three of the four horseman of the Apocalypse have begun their rides.
In addition to “rumors of war,” we should expect more wars as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:6.
Iran may attempt to carry out its threats, and that could greatly damage Israel, but that also would not end well for Iran.

🇮🇱SOME ISRAEL->IRAN ATTACK INFO, ACCIDENTAL EARTHQUAKE - Real time from Israel
ISRAEL REALTIME - Connecting to Israel in Realtime
🚨ISRAEL RETALIATORY ATTACK ON IRAN.. The IDF carried out Friday night a retaliatory operation for the ballistic missile barrage about a month ago.  They destroyed factories for the production of missiles, launchers of surface-to-surface missiles and air defense systems.
.. Simultaneous attack against Iran and sites in Damascus, Syria.
.. Sites in capital Tehran and nearby city of Karaj, among others.
.. 20 military targets were struck across Iran in three waves.
.. Iran's Fars news agency says several military bases near Tehran hit.
.. Reports of use of Israeli loitering munitions as well as jet airstrikes.
.. Air defense sirens in Tehran sounded.
.. IDF statement: "The regime in Iran and its proxies in the region have been relentlessly attacking Israel since October 7th – on seven fronts – including direct attacks from Iranian soil," the military says.   Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond.  The reprisal strike was completed, and its objectives were achieved.”
.. IDF also targeted Iran’s surface-to-air missile arrays and Iranian aerial capabilities that were intended to restrict Israel's aerial freedom of operation in Iran. Israel now has broader aerial freedom of operation in Iran.
.. Syrian opposition sources reported that Israeli jets attacked radar systems at "Tel al-Kalib" in southeast Suwayda (southern Syria) and the 19th battalion of Syria’s air defense in Homs, central Syria.
.. Dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft, including fighter jets, refuelers, and spy planes, participated in the strikes some 1,600 kilometers from Israel. The aircraft safely returned to Israel following the “complex” operation.
.. RUSSIA reportedly shared intelligence & warned Iran hours before the Israeli strikes.
.. US officials now believe that Iran will retaliate for the retaliation “in a subdued way.”
.. Iran is making significant efforts to downplay the impact of the Israeli attack in their media.
♦️LEBANON - Israeli fighter jets also struck Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital of Beirut overnight, 8 attacks.
♦️LEBANON - IDF captures four truck-mounted rocket launchers, loaded with 160 rockets. Separately, around 130 Hezbollah launchers were struck by the Israeli Air Force in the past week.
♦️GAZA - The IDF says it has expanded the designated "humanitarian zone" in southern Gaza , where the vast majority of the Palestinian population in the Strip currently resides.  The zone is where most humanitarian aid is directed, and where several field hospitals were established.
♦️GAZA - IDF attacking heavily in the north of the Gaza Strip - the echoes of the explosions can be clearly heard in many areas in the south of the country.
♦️SAMARIA, TULKARM - A Hamas operative planning an "imminent" terror attack was killed by special forces, following a firefight.  He was found with weapons and bomb parts.
▪️ACCIDENTAL EARTHQUAKE.. on Shabbat morning 6:30 AM, the IDF demolished a large underground Hezbollah Radwan invasion force base in southern Lebanon using 400 tons of explosives.  That huge explosion set off earthquake detectors in northern Israel, which set off Home Front Command EARTHQUAKE alarms across the northern 1/3 of Israel - sirens and alert apps going off in over 100 towns and cities.  Oops.

⭕HEZBOLLAH ROCKET STRIKE KILLS 2, injures 13+ (some critical) in northern Israeli Druze town of Maid al-Krum.
⭕HEZBOLLAH ROCKET STRIKE injures 9 in Nahariya.
⭕DRONE FROM SYRIA intercepted in the Golan on Shabbat.
❗️END OF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME TONIGHT in Israel, at 2:00 AM go back to 1:00 AM.  Computers and phones should auto-adjust.
▪️ON THE IRAN ATTACK - ESCALATION OR NOT?
.. Foreign sources:
…. Israel destroyed at least 12 special mixers - a critical component in the production of the solid fuel for Iran’s ballistic missiles.
…. 4 - S-300 Russian advanced anti-aircraft batteries were attacked and disabled.
…. Secret facility in Parchin where research and development activities related to the nuclear program were carried out in the past was attacked.
.. Videos shared by civilians in Iran show Israeli jets low-flying over areas in Iran, making their presence known.
.. According to Sky News, Iran told Israel that it would not respond to the attack. In Russia, some say that this is a type of "dogburniak", a Russian word that cannot be directly translated and means - a type of secret agreement between enemies who are not interested in uncontrolled escalation and secretly guard communication channels.
.. Prime Minister's Office: The report (above) is false and absurd. Israel did not inform Iran before the attack - not about the time, not about the targets, not about the strength of the attack.
.. Following Israel's attacks on military targets in the Islamic Republic, at 3:40 in the morning, the citizens of Tehran took to the streets and formed long lines at gas stations throughout the city.
.. The Saudi news site "Ilaf" reports that in attacks on Iran, Israel hit a factory for the production of solid fuel used to propel the ballistic missiles. It was also reported that the price of each solid fuel mixer that was in the factory is estimated to be at least 2 million dollars. "About 20 of them were destroyed," it was claimed. Sources familiar with the Iranian missile industry said that it would take at least two years for the plant to return to capacity, and that Israel had significantly disrupted Iran's ability to produce missiles.
.. AFP report: sources in Iran claim that only a radar array was damaged in the Israeli attack.
.. US President Biden responded to the attack in Iran: "I hope this is the end.”
.. German Chancellor Schulz: "My message to Iran is clear - we cannot continue with widespread reactions of escalation, it must end now."
.. The media in Iran: Significantly minimize the Israeli attack on the one hand, on the other hand and in the same breath they claim there will be an unlimited response.
♦️LEBANON - During the last day, the Air Force attacked more than 70 terrorist targets of Hezbollah, some of them directed by the Northern Command, among the targets that were attacked: anti-tank positions, military buildings, ammunition depots, terrorist squads and military headquarters.
⭕SAUDI SHIA TERROR GROUP.. claims to fire a suicide drone at Israel.
🔹Report in Lebanon: American envoy Amos Hochstein is expected to visit Israel tomorrow.

Barak Israel Sagan, 22, from Petah Tikva
Ido Ben Zvi, 21, from Shomrat
Hillel Ovadia, 22, from Jerusalem (we previously reported, but didn’t have age or city)
May their families be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may G-d avenge their blood!
▪️WOMAN DIES RUNNING FOR SHELTER.. elderly woman passes away in Beit HaEmek.  May her memory be a blessing.
▪️CORRECTION - MAJD al-KRUM.. we said Israeli Druze town, we are told it is a majority Israeli Arab town.  13+ injured, 2 killed by a Hezbollah rocket strike - may the dead receive mercy.

Israel did not claim responsibility for the airstrike on April 1 that killed Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' overseas Quds Force, and six other officers as they attended a meeting in the Damascus embassy compound.
But Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Israel "must be punished and shall be" for an operation he said was equivalent to an attack on Iranian soil.
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israel-edge-iranian-retaliation-after-embassy-strike-2024-04-12/
Has this actually changed? Did Israel take responsibility? Did other evidence emerge?
I keep seeing people say 'Israel deserves Iran's retribution for attacking that embassy' (dubious even if it is true?). But I'm having trouble finding confirmation that it was attacked by Israel in the first place.
Are we all just kind of.... going with what Iran says here?
Of course people are also claiming it's a war crime when the embassy was being used for military purposes and was therefore a legitimate military target so??
Maybe everyone is just being ignorant?
Or maybe it's me?????
Does anyone ACTUALLY know if Israel even did the attack in the first place?
@autismserenity maybe?
