"The Lord shall roar from Heaven and thunder from His Holy Mountain; He shall roar mightily against His people! He shall give a shout like the one who treads grapes, and rebuke the inhabitants of the earth! All the people shall hear Him; behold, the sound of His voice shall echo in all the earth! For The Lord has a controversy with the nations; He shall pass judgment on all mankind, and the wicked shall be handed over to the sword. Therefore wail, all you shepherds! Says The Lord. Wallow in the dust and cry aloud, all you leaders among men! For the Days of Brokenness have come upon you, and the Day of Slaughter is about to come in! For I will surely break you; like a clay pot you shall fall and shatter upon the ground! The shepherds shall be unable to flee, and the leaders shall have no escape! Behold, the wailing of the shepherds shall be great, and the cry of the leaders shall resound in every nation! For I shall plunder their pastures and all the peaceable dwellings shall be cut down! Says The Lord in His fierce anger.

Therefore, prepare in the desert the way of The Lord! Make a straight path in these dry and parched lands, For The Holy One of Israel!…

Let every valley be exalted, And every mountain and hill brought low! Let the crooked places be made straight, And the rough places smooth!…

For The Glory of The Lord shall be Revealed from Heaven, and all People shall behold it together!…

For I am The Lord, and I do not change."

many things about the chronicles of Narnia made me irrevocably insane at the small age of six years old but one of the big ones was the bit in prince Caspian where caspian blows susan's horn to try and summon help and it summons the pevensie kids like. that's crazy ok. that's insane. imagine at 12 years old you're given a horn thats purpose is basically summoning divine intervention & then years later someone blows it and summons YOU . MDZS AU where Jiang Cheng realizes that Lan Sizhui is the Wen orphan that Wei Wuxian took care off during the Burial Mounds arc, decides that's close enough to qualify him as Nephew, declares that no Nephew of His (much less a surrogate son of Wei Wuxian's) is going to be raised in the Cloud Recedes, and immediately launches into a custody battle with Lan Wangji.

But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.

(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)

(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)
