“So,” Danny drawled from where he was sitting, legs kicking slightly. Really, what a fun reincarnation. A world with heroes and villains where he didn’t have to do shit in and could just vibe with Ellie. 

“So,” Tim responded from where he was typing on his computer, mostly in civilian clothes save for his gauntlets and boots. The Red Robin outfit was haphazardly dropped across the couch and his pole leaning against the end. 

“Technically there’s proper procedures for clones…” Danny motioned to both himself and Ellie from where they sat on the counter, snacking on a plateful of scones. From Alfred, he was certain. 

“Technically, yes… but do we want to actually do that?” 

All three of them smiled, something almost feral in the motion. Of course not. They all had the same memories after all, and Bruce had just returned from the past, from exactly where and when Tim had said he was. Despite no one believing him, hence why they were in his boathouse, and not in the apartment or manor. 

“Think we can pull it off?” Ellie took a sip of tea, mischief swirling in her eyes. 

“Of course we can.” Both Danny and Tim spoke at once, one pulling up a new doc and the other pulling the whiteboard out from under a curtain.

I firmly believe Dick Grayson never slept better then after his siblings and himself had children and it seemed like everything was coming together.

The entire family hanging out the kids causing Bruce to have more gray hair.

Lilith (Tim's Daughter) playing with baby Kai who is just starting to walk. Everyone so absorbed in just the joy that they forget that Wayne's don't actually get to be happy.

A scream Percy (Jason's son) and John (Dick's son) had climbed to top of one of the tallest oaks on manors ground. You wouldn't think this would be the worst but the one day every Bat left the superpower filled spouse at home.

Dick is thrown back years he's gonna lose his nephew. The boy that's brings a joy to Jason's face that no one thought would come back after the warehouse. He's gonna lose his little boy, the reason Dick gets out of bed every day.

Everyone froze, the problem with so much training is knowing the worse will happen and you can't stop it.

But faster than the speed of light they were caught.

Lilith Drake stood cradling Percy her Nightwing hoodie covered in dirt while John hangs gripping her back.

Not a second before Jason and Dick ran scooping up their respective sons.

Hearts still racing, another nightmare added to their arsenal.

Turning from their precious kids, only to look at the little girl. Who they for the rest of their lives will owe a debt to, very much like her father. Who still sits in the grass not having moved a muscle, he had saw the entire time even distracted by a baby. That she hasn't taken an eye off the too boys, had watched closer than both him and Bruce could.

"Lily flower, I think that deserves ice cream wouldn't you agree."

She who doesn't look at all like she just prevented another tragedy. Immediately breaks out in joy while running for the house.

Both boys ripping away from their dads to follow after her.

Jason and Dick breaking out in laughter with just a touch of hysteria, looked at their brother.

"Tim if I ever made one single comment about you and the fucking clone, consider them revoked shit." Spills out of Jason.

Dick not doing much better.

"Should I get my niece a pony, or you more cloning chambers."

Tim who looks so more at ease in fatherhood and husband-hood, then he ever did as Robin just laughs.

"I think a thank you to her and bringing me back strawberry will suffice. Quickly too I think I just heard the chandelier come down."

For the second time that's day both the first and the second robins run, already plotting how they will be repaying the Drake's for one again saving the world without a single thought.

Curly's little blurb on his steam trading card just keeps reminding me he is a much more miserable person than people realize.

We don't get a lot of his thoughts, inner confliction that aren't bogged down by what Jimmy says or does. Even in the The Last One and Then Another, his dialogue is reflective, not the Curly before the crash but the result of everything. Parts of the him he was are there of course, but also disfigured and warped beyond recognition just like he is physically.

Curly really doesn't think much of himself and desires. He clearly chases fleeting moments of happiness. He doesn't really have prospects for himself, assumes in a similar way to Swansea, that if it should make it happy then he is happy. Though, he hasn't reached the point Swansea did to admit it doesn't. He neither sees the glass half full or empty, it's just water, something he needs and he'll take it from any perspective.

He wasn't running from anything but he's never really been going towards something either. He's listless. I've been using the term complacent to describe how he feels about his life and the closest people (really just Jimmy) in it, but now that word feels too neutral, too nice. Happier than Curly really was. There isn't just one word for it, he's unfulfilled, uncertain, uninspired. There are no active problems he faces and that's the issue, why should he be upset?

I believe he really is a person who doesn't know who he is or wants to be. He follows a structure. I don't think he's suicidal, but he clearly doesn't think about what makes him happy. He's numb. I suppose that is a better word than complacent, used to the feeling even if he hates it. It doesn't hurt so why stop it?

Tim's unternet suit really is the most glaringly obvious hero worship/crush for Dick thing he ever has. in the unternet, where Tim's subconscious creates what he is. that's the suit his brain comes up with? something so clearly derivative of Nightwing? down to the *finger stripes*?

Wanna talk about mischaracterisation? They’re literally a comedic duo who interacts 24/7. Marchil is crazy bc ppl are like "did those shipper read with their eyes CLOSED?? They have no chemistry!" Meanwhile canon is like: "She’s obsessed with knowing everything she can about him and she reads him like a book." In her eyes he’s like that extra rare and hard and shiny unlockable dating sim character, that brooding mysterious character trope that’s thrilling to crack open and typically is at the center of the plot. The wife roleplay???? "Hey, did you know his type is blondes. Hey did you know he likes his women pretty and blonde. Hey did you know he likes her hair. Hey did you know that he teases her 24/7 and it’s one of the few things that consistently gets him grinning because he finds her reactions cute." Like a schoolyard bully pulling on the pigtails of the girl he likes.

It’s not like they have any thematic narratives or relevance. It’s not like she’ll live to 1000 and has existential dread about it while he’s logically gonna be her next friend to die at 50 and wether it’s romantic or platonic it’ll terrify her to lose him. It’s not like it’s fear of death x fear of rejection so they’re both obsessed with the thought of loss looming, past and ongoing. It’s not like it’s half-elf x half-foot and there’s an inherent journey that was and still is to dispel prejudices and truly come to see each other. It’s not like he’s painfully real and raw and flawed but still a good man, that he’s not the figure of prince charming that she’s always dreamed of while still being virtuous and worth fighting for. Or you know, her hair being golden and it being the epitome of beauty to him, and his hair turning silver and it being Marcille’s worst nightmare.

Just a weird wacky ship who means nothing but shallow things to people who have weirdo reasons for liking it. Like can you not. If you’re not imaginative enough to think of reasons why this ship may have an appealing dynamic that’s not my issue. But yes, yes, they’re both flat asses to me, thanks.
