The basegame wedding dress has a pregnancy morph??

#I can never be positive if something in my game is like. a third-party launcher addition #but this is so funny and I had such a strong hunch #because rushing to have your Sim get married before they give birth is such a thing so many players would do!!#and it would be so funny to pay attention to that detail by having the wedding dress show the bump!!!!#all your sim's wedding photos very obviously giving away the reason for the rushed date HAHA #the dress with the pendant at the back that everyone default replaces off (the one with the knife texture) also has a preg morph #which I know because it's the one your Sims get forced into if they attend a wedding #but it's kind of unusual because pregnant Sims don't have the opportunity to change into formal wear?#like pregnant Sims get new undies pyjamas and swimwear in addition to their maternity outfit #and if you direct a pregnant Sim to change into one of them then it changes them into the appropriate maternity fit instead of their usual #but you can't direct them to change into formal and if you use a hacked option like the shop any-wear rack it uses their usual non morph fi #so it has to be something external like a wedding that triggers them to change into formal. and I have no idea why #does this mean there's a BG suit with a preg morph for men??#or did maxis not think that pregnant male Sims would be quite so desperate to get married #anyway I'm probably the last person to know about this LMAO and I'm sure no one cares bc everyone uses wear-anything mods #but I'm a scrub who still prefers to use the default maternity meshes so this is yuge to me #also if you've never seen this dress b4: in the early game all Sims getting married under an arch used to be forced into the same outfits #actually I can't remember if the men got forced into the same suit or if they just used their regular formal #because most BG formal outfits for men were mostly wedding-appropriate #but at any rate. all women wore the same wedding dress. and it was this .... beauty #and I don't remember with which EP it changed but probably pretty early on they just let Sims use their regular formal wear for weddings #so you could pick their wedding dress yourself #but this dress remained hidden by default (I think?) so ironically it meant you COULDN'T use the wedding dress even if you wanted to #also this is completely off topic but you would also go away for your honeymoon #which meant the Sims getting married would literally get driven away in a limousine and stay off-world for a while #it was kind of cute because it really was like they took a vacation from the player too. got up to their own mischief away from your contro #then with bon voyage they introduced ACTUAL vacations and they turned honeymoons into an actual game mechanic #but again these offworld honeymoons are no longer a possibility #kind of like teens 'going out' with permission got replaced by going out on actual outings/dates even though it was a cute event #wow this note section is long and irrelevant. anyway enjoy picking up your wedding dress from a store called 'It's Not Too Late'

Obviously I'm very glad that Domi has stepped in to help protect Dante and Johann, and it's great that she's calling Dante by his name. However, I'm vaguely concerned that a member of the de Sade family directly confronting chasseurs (and particularly hateful chasseurs!) could lead to very bad things down the line.

Back at the start of the catacombs arc, Johann pointed out that relations between the church and the vampire establishment are still extremely tense, so it would be prohibitively dangerous for Orlock and his people to get involved in a conflict with them. If you take Johann at his word, it could take as little as one false step to set off the beginnings of another war. And the situation has only gotten worse since the catacombs.

Dominique isn't as politically important as Count Orlock, but she's still a member of a key family of aristocrats. If Gano and Ogier escalate the current situation to violence and Domi has to fight them, there's a chance things could spiral out of control in a big way.

There's also a chance Domi, Dante, and Johann will still be able to calm things down without a fight, of course, but if it does come to blows, I'm afraid an excuse to hurt or be hurt by a vampire aristocrat is the perfect opportunity for Gano. We know the extremists want an opportunity to go to war again, after all. I don't know if Gano shares that desire, since he's working with Ruthven on the side, but he's hateful enough that I sure wouldn't rule it out.

I certainly have my own concerns about the treatment of moo deng but um. well i think some of you may just be racist

#this ^ isn't directed at any post in particular but instead a lot of comments ive seen. but now im gonna talk about other posts down here #and prefacing anything i put in the tags here with DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH #but the biggest post ive seen going around rn about moo deng being mistreated and the general quality of khao kheow zoo is questionable #claims that the enclosure is mostly concrete seem to be false from all the sources i can find #the concrete section looks like its specifically around the feeding area which fits zoo care guidelines which specify that the feeding area #be a surface that can be easily cleaned separate from the substrate and is a surface present in other zoos #the lack of deep water also seems to be purposeful? older videos of the same enclosure show deeper water areas #and looking back through the news every baby pygmy hippo announcement from every zoo i could find mentioned periods where the baby had to #learn to swim and was slowly introduced from shallow water to deeper water as time passed #this was also corroborated by fowlers zoo and wild animal medicine volume 8 which suggests keeping the mother dry and then slowly #introducing water as the baby grows as a potential best practice #damn im treating this like a paper now. anyway the negatives #there are absolutely things that strike me as bad eg. public access to the hippos and the way the keeper interacts with them #for the keeper stuff in particular i'd really like to see input from someone who has experience as a zookeeper with pygmy hippos #the public access is something that i def think the zoo could improve on and even older footage from years ago shows people sticking like #selfie sticks and shit off the side of the railings and right into the hippos faces #however again the zoo seems to be making efforts to curb visitor behavior which is tough when you go from having 800 visitors a day to #4000+ and you can't remodel the whole exhibit right then and there #all this to say! just do your own research and take somewhat inflammatory comments on the internet with a grain of salt #also just to make it clear im not making any sweeping statements on khao kheow or the treatment of moo deng im just summarizing what i foun #based on what's being said in the most popular post on the subject ive seen.#for the potential like three people who will read all this hi :) hope ur having a nice day

#the conversation takes place in antoine’s vod: L’ANNIVERSAIRE DE TALLULAH at 41 mins ish #like . okay . its such a fucking crazy moment to me that still lives in my head bc it’s a a joke . but it’s also not #he asks etoiles directly after spiderbit wedding . ‘don’t you want to get married?’#after it gets mentioned*#etoiles turns him down bc he ‘doesn’t have time to fuck [he] needs to kill everyone’#and antoine says ‘well but— just a marriage’ like it’s the act itself that is the most important to him not anything that could come with it #the confirmation of partnership . of having someone to rely on . something that feels to him maybe more certain and solid than the #friendships antoine had at that point . like if he felt things were slipping and he was being left behind he wanted the certainty of #something like a marriage that is traditionally considered More important and certain .#and i think the end of their conversation is notable in how antoine brings up the notion of betrayal — he getting betrayed by others and how #he’s fed up with it . after etoiles says no to the marriage (though specifying that he’s gonna think about it) antoine brings the whole #betrayal thing up after a pause . he doesn’t necessarily consider etoiles as having betrayed him but it’s that lack of certainty #certainty that etoiles has refused to give him that makes him start to open up about how he’s tired of people promising him things (or #seeming to promise him things) only to leave him out and in the dark . and there’s an insecurity there that really shines if you take this #moment into consideration with the Larger Shifting his character is going through .#like tldr ; qantoine has begun to realise that his friends are starting to form deeper bonds with other people and thus keep secrets with #them which to him means leaving him behind . taking notice of this he brings this up to his friends in . not exactly direct ways . he #talks about how he doesn’t like secret keeping but doesn’t seem to push much further and he also tries to remedy the issue #of feeling left behind by doing shit as discussed above ^ however on account of the InHuman i’m not sure he understands what he’s doing very #well . and as we know antoine doesn’t make much progress and ends up retreating into himself and beginning to keep his own secrets . to do #his own shady shit . to work in the shadows and not be honest with any of his friends either . to hold them at arm’s length despite how much #he still cares . the only person he puts his full trust into anymore is pomme . not ayp who he deems too underhanded . not bagz who he sees #as having started the whole ‘secret keeping’ stuff in the first place . and not etoiles who’s actively going down a path with the codes and #resistance that he cannot follow #that was NOT a short tldr . why the fuck am i writing dissertation length tags about MINECRAFT BLOCKS #god whatever who cares i get joy out of this thats what matters #anw if you read this far holy shit ur insane . thank you #i am going to bed now godbless !#jay rambles #qfrench.posting

If you don’t mind, I’m gonna yap for a second.. I think another problem with Kab is how sudden the turn around was. Like in the first convo where Kab was acting “evil”, Zam fought back with the argument that she’s wasn’t really evil at all and I think he did believe that at least a little. And if Kab slowly began to turn her path around then he would be a bit more trusting cause he would have SEEN her actual emotional growth but the turn around was so fast, it feels like there was no emotional growth at all and that Kab is still the same as before, cause she basically is. She still wants Mane dead no matter the cost and she’s still, intentionally or not, trying to manipulate Zam, but she wants to be treated as if she’s had that whole long term emotional growth

yeah ii think this is where her majority experience with short-term smps really bit her in the ass, i think there are two main directions that other ppl take it tho: 1. is as what you speculate in that some ppl think that she hasnt had genuine growth and hasnt changed at all and 2. that she genuinely changes too quickly and is therefore unreliable regardless of if shes being honest or not

i think the reason zam was so receptive to her in silent scream was cause this has been a recurrent plot point for a couple streams now, kab trespassing zams base to yap while zam tries to decipher her wants and motivations until eventually she just let it all out and in that instance i think he did genuinely believed that she changed even if it was slowly/just a little bit

....but then die for you happened lol

ssee the thing about kab is that shes shes all-or-nothing, going from one extreme to the next after just a little bit of change in character which can be jarring to some ppl to say the least (unless you thought she was lying and therefore any character development shouldnt be believed i suppose) but is something that was a great asset in shorter and arena-based smps where you had to get as much advantage against your opponent as possible without having to worry about the long-term consequences of these actions ie them not trusting you while still having to interact often in mundane ways even after messing with them. while she Can be swayed this only really works with things she was already unsure of which while a great motivator and trait to keep her on track with her goals (again another great trait for short-term smps), can be really jarring and distressing for other ppl if the things she was absolutely sure about goes against their own perspective like for example her thinking that derapchu killing her constitutes zam getting payback for her as the protector of the server (The protector, not A protector like zam insists, The protector of the server)

i think shes far too used to the fast-paced instant acceptance of changed personality in arena smps that is a natural consequence of them being short-term and having a revolving door of members and teams which is why she expects ppl to accept her growth and efforts so quickly even if realistically nobody would hand over their trust that easily esp after essentially being harassed in their own home multiple times, like even in normal smps where theres a baseline amount of trust ppl still wouldnt trust you after doing that, what more in a server like lifesteal where general trust is low basically all the time?

#mine.ask #Anonymous #i wrote most of this at like 2 am cause i couldnt sleep so i hope this is understandable lol #like. kabs actions are logical sure but its one extreme to the next #even zam takes at least a couple weeks before changing into something opposite than he was #and hes one of if not the most fickle ppl on the server #like. idk. ive noticed from tge beginning that kabs lore is pretty fast-paced compared to everyone else #but after she got fixated on zam it increased by a lot i feel #like hating him one moment then loving him the next #like damn girl is he your fp /j #but yeah a lot of things kab does can be explained away by the fact that shes never really had to deal with the long-term consequences #of fucking with someone #whether it be because of the fact the smps she was in were short ones or cause clown was there to get rid of her opps #and like. in a regular smp maybe ppl would believe her more #but this is ls where all the players are accutely aware of the fact that trusting the wrong ppl could get them killed or worse #and kab not only has an untrustworthy rep thanks to money smp (that she was was proudly flaunting)(also derap is here)#but her still continuing to lie and manipulate ppl does not make ppl want to give her the necessary baseline trust #that would constitute believing in her whenever she changes her mind/direction #and unfortunately for her; now that shes been established as untrustworthy on lifesteal itself #(compare her rep to wemmbu whos rep comes from non-ls smps and is proudly trustworthy and loyal on ls itself)#that baseline trust is gonna be really difficult to go against #i was gonna give spoke as an example but then remembered he manipulated pbaj during the election arc lmao #but uh yeah reputation is really important on ls whether the players like it or not and kabs rep is unfortunately not the best #like bruh zam thinks shes less trustworthy than Spoke #do you have any idea how untrustwortthy someone would feel you are to get that low on the trustworthiness tier???#like damn it hasnt even been a full season yet

#So Witches We Became #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #Ooh yeah I thought this was good!#the first half especially was super atmospheric and had some Very creepy horror moments.#I do wonder if it would have been better if the witchy stuff was a bit more ambiguous and just its own unique paranormal thing-#if it weren’t for the title I feel like it would have felt especially random. As it is; it felt a little basic; comparatively? idk.#(I did wonder for most of the book what witches had to do with anything).#A few aspects felt a little heavy handed & I wonder if they could have been handled with more subtlety? But maybe the directness is needed.#I kinda wish there was a bit more with Nell and Harper’s relationship over the weekend #obviously the build up of tension is the point but I wish we’d seen some of the positives of their friendship #not just the flashbacks to when they were kids; because it felt like such a sudden shift from resentment to friends again at the end #I just didn’t really have any empathy for harper for most of it especially with Gavin being SO blatantly and unsubtley horrible #(though I guess Nell’s POV was biased toward showing that for obvious reasons)#but those are two specific things - broadly speaking I enjoyed it a lot!#Yay for some love for zines! though “blogs/tumblr and the like had made them all but obsolete’ false!!!!! zinefests still go hard!!#sapphic books #ya horror

We ought to write more Pokemon fic some time. We want to recreate the Pokemon Manners/Human Manners cheat sheet that we made a few years ago we think that this site would like the Sliding Scale Of Politeness When Greeting A New Pokemon You've Never Met Before.

#we speak #writing #we grew up with pmd games and we feel like the way that pmd pokemon's dialogue tends to be excessively... direct?#should be a feature and not a bug when any pokemon that you meet might be totally unfamiliar with your species and biology #it's probably very polite to start up front with some basic facts about yourself so they know how to act going forward #the very upfront feel to dialogue also very much helps with keeping the dialogue feel more... pokemon #people mock the series for weird npc dialogue a lot but we think that taking these things literally makes for more fun society building #it doesn't all have to fit with socially acceptable for our world we think. polite in our world isn't even consistent by household.#sometimes a polite interaction sounds like “hello! i'm poochyena! i like to chase people and bite!”#name and immediately socially useful information. now you know about the chasing people and biting so you don't assume it's rude #of course poochyena bites and chases people. it likes to do that. you can say you don't like that and it might stop doing that to You #but it will not stop biting and chasing people because that's what it likes to do and it will probably only befriend people okay with that #it makes a very specific dialogue feel that's very fun to do. we like how the pokemon world tends to treat any sort of like #disability or “weird” things as something that you just say out the gate and everyones like “oh okay”#and then treat that as Part Of Interactions going forwards. there are a surprising amount of parts of the pokemon manga #that are dedicated to working around a character's disability after one or all of their means of dealing with it get taken out #admittedly we aren't that caught up on newer content but we find the way that it tends to be just Accepted as very refreshing #making the dialogue this direct does also tend to make it read as more “childish” in english and particular because a lot of Maturity's jus #learning how to dance around what you're saying or phrase it in different ways to get your idea across differently #whereas here everything is just as direct as possible. “i don't like charmander”. “i like roasting berries”. “i want to dig things up”.#all pokemon dialogue tends to go towards being exceedingly simple and it makes for some very distinct writing #especially when you have to tackle complex situations with characters who probably dont employ that sort of vocabulary #though we personally enjoy doing this sort of stuff your mileage may vary ofc #we are biased towards this sort of thins because we find it MUCH more fun to build up what we're talking about from blocks #than to like. try and use more indirect wording that may lose things in translation #unfortunately this is not fun in irl conversation. everyone has to be on the same page and you need to use the same playbook to communicate #we REALLY wish people said what they meant though. we're really tired of being asked shit like “is this accessible”#when what they mean is “can you climb these stairs” a question which depends on the day our energy level and how things have been going #there are a lot of things we could say that would make us feel like some sort of anti sjw type guy and a lot of em boil down to just #"for the love of god dont dance around a Sensitive Topic just get to the point and ask us about it this just makes things harder for everyo

its occuring to me what specifically it is that therapists go to therapy for

#id always assumed it was yknow just a mix of things #and like nuance disclaimers thats still true yada yada thats not the point rn #but im thinking now that its more about. the weight #you have to be perfect. you have to be the ideal. you have to carry yourself perfectly and embody every principle youre trying to teach #you are responsible for other peoples ability to be happy‚ not just in how your action effect them here and now but #in what ripple effects any and everything you say could have #you are the authority figure‚ other people will listen to what you say‚ you can change the course of their entire lives #of course that would weigh on a person. how couldnt it #and how could you ever turn it off #how could you ever let yourself just be a person‚ messy and imperfect‚ when you know so intimately the ramifications of things like that?#and yet how couldnt you when you know that no one can be 'on' like that all the time?#do therapists actually go to therapy? or do they go to a support group in everything but name? surely the person #theyre talking too feels the same pressure‚ if not moreso #a part of me wonders how much it can really help‚ then‚ preaching to the choir. but a bigger part of me knows better #knows that the only difference between the choir and the rest of the congregation is the willingness to sing in front of others #either way‚ your audience already knows and agrees. its just a question of which direction youre facing #origibberish

am i autistic or am i just paranoid. level: impossible

#seeing a friend of mine for the first time in 2 years but it was at a 9hr work training and i barely talked to him the whole time #so i text our gc multiple times bc im excited #but everyones drained from the day #so am i being a good loving kind person or am i being annoying as hell #my brain says the first one and my gut says the second #i also might have a big fat crush on this man (he is unfairly attractive and kind and funny and TALL)#so i may be overreacting bc of that #i just missed him and now my big fat crush on him is bigger and fatter than ever #at the end of our first summer he hugged me tight and told me he loved me (platonically)#then he asked if i was coming back and i said yes without any hesitation #and then he didnt come back #so ive been going on 2 years of stewing in this fucking crush soup and now im just #tumblr is the only place where i can talk abt this no one important in my life can know this #no one #i just really like him #and i wanna be around him all the time #and i wanna sit with him and talk to him and laugh with him #and help him with stuff #and i have not had an actual crush on someone since my sophomore and junior year of high school #which was 4 and 5 years ago at this point #this guy also kept staring at me from across the room and everytime i would glace in his direction he would look away #and every time i would get a glimpse of him at training i could physically feel the butterflies #hell #every time i even thought about the fact that we were in the same general area i would get butterflies #this never happens to me and its such a weird feeling #would you be so kind by dodie is the anthem of the hour rn #and i know there's a huge part of me that thinks i am unlovable bc of how i look #and ive never had anyone love me or even like me enough to initiate any kind of anything #ive been on one date in my life #never been kissed never had sex
