The last post I reblogged made me think about Wilhelm and Simon and how we('re supposed to) perceive them! I've started another rewatch while taking notes this time and in the first episode, we can see Simon's keyring :

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's the only time we see it? And I love it so much, it encapsulates so much of Simon to me : a little rebel at heart! He may be wearing a nice uniform, being polite and singing like an angel, he stills says a big fuck you to the system. To the school? The monarchy? The elite and the bullies? I love that shot. And I think people shouldn't underestimate how angry and badass Simon can be ^^ (I actually have a lot to say on this subject but I wanna rewatch a few more episodes first!!)

I also love that we have that shot earlier in the episode :

In contrast to the "fuck you" of Simon is Wilhelm being stuck and forced to follow "good manners and etiquette"...

Something that really hadn't occurred to me until my most recent read through of the Hunger Games is how mentally strong Peeta is. When he was stung by the tracker jackers, he still had the mental capacity to fight Cato, tell Katniss to get out of the area, and camouflage himself to the point where nobody was able to find him. AND while Katniss was able to have her stings healed quickly thanks to Rue, Peeta wasn't that lucky.

It all makes it so much sadder in Mockingjay. If Peeta was able to endure that type of pain for so long, the torture Snow put him through with the tracker jacker venom had to be at least 5 times worse than that.

Easily one of my favorite things about Zoro and Luffy (not necessarily in a shipping context, though *I* enjoy them in a shipping context) is the way they seem so different on a surface level - this whimsical sunshine boy captain and his big, stoic, serious right hand man - but when you actually get to know them, they’re pretty much two halves of the same weird goddamn idiot

Specifically, I love that whenever Luffy is doing / saying something totally absurd, there’s a not insignificant chance that we’re about to cut to Zoro, whether he’s two steps away or halfway across the island, doing the exact same unhinged shit, and it’s so goddamn funny every time???
