Random Once Upon a Witchlight Headcanons

(Cause I’m bored and decided I want to share with the class)

-Gideon has a really fast metabolism, and quite literally burns calories very quickly, the reason why he ‘needs to eat every 3 hours’

-Torbek grabs at his head or ears when in distress (like Andy sometimes does)

-Frost has certain sensory issues, most notably with specific textures. Whenever he accidentally touches any texture he cannot stand, he inadvertently sends out a small shockwave of psionic energy, that makes anyone standing too close to him feel his discomfort

-When goblins (specifically Gricko) feel threatened, they raise their arms up instinctively to make themselves seem bigger (like red pandas), or in Gricko’s case he just holds his arms out awkwardly (Inspired by that one moment in Ep 16 when FFGG reappears)

-Frost occasionally has some very cat-like mannerisms, such as purring when happy, knocking things off surfaces, or hissing when he’s freaked out. he isn’t ashamed of them though as he considers them a valid part of him and sees no reason as to why they would be embarrassing for him, even if they make his friends laugh

-Women actually can’t resist Torbek when he flirts with them. Not because he’s actually really charming and suave, but because they see him and think ‘I CAN FIX HIM’

-Frost usually does not realise when people are flirting with him, unless they directly say they’re interested in him

-Gideon is made stronger by alcohol, due to it being flammable and making his fire hotter. Theoretically it could work with other flammable liquids, but he prefers the taste of booze

-Gricko sometimes scrambles around on all fours (like a rat-)

-mandatory ‘Frost is autistic’ headcanon (as an autistic person myself I actually love and fully believe in this headcanon)

-Kremy occasionally does very alligator-like behaviours and actions when he’s distracted/tired/angry such as hissing, growling, or snapping at people when he’s irritated. He attempts to suppress these instincts but they sometimes get the better of him

-Kremy didn’t initially care about unicorns, but while he was under the effects of the fey enchantment, he grew to genuinely love them

-Frost is pan with male preference

-Gideon is bi with slight female preference

-Kremy is Demiromantic asexual gay (I cannot see him dating a woman and enjoying it)

-Torbek is unlabelled, he’d be happy if anyone of any gender or orientation wanted him

-Gricko is the token ace straight, but he is very receptive to any kind of flirting

Why does Gideon have Snapchat? Why does Kremy? Does anyone else?

Gideon has it to link up with girls in his area. He uses it for booty calls, and plugs. Uses it as a personal Tinder page. Posts "work out" videos - they're all thirst traps.

Kremy has it for his clients, and he uses it to get more traction. Posts very scantily clad pics on his private story. Always seems to be at the club in his public story.

Gricko can't understand it - you reach him by text or by messenger pigeon.

Frost has it for his uni group chat, which is muted anyway. He posts once on his story and the fellow students on his course are shocked that he actually exists outside class and placement.

Torbek has a blackberry and never any signal.

I've been feel very panicky recently and was inspired by a post By @crowliphale that's had me feeling some sort of way. In a good way.

My grammar is alitte questionable but it's nice to just post something silly.

The sky darkened overhead. Agwa was always a beautiful city, but not tonight.

Gideon sat in a tavern near the inn where the Krew was staying, his eyes fixed on a train pulling out of the station. His hands tightened around his glass, causing it to crack slightly under the pressure as the bar bustled around him.

"I'm looking for a Genasi. He's kind of big... um, deep Yona accent?" A familiar voice carried through the room.

Gideon ducked his head, not in the mood for a scolding, but it was inevitable as Kremy saddled up next to him.

"Where the hell have you been? I've been looking everywhere!" Kremy snapped, glancing at what had Gideon so transfixed—a train. The silence between them was thick as Gideon finally looked up, wiping his eyes.

"Oh... t... oh... yeah," he barely muttered, his voice rough. Kremy studied his face for a while before his shoulders dropped.

Silence again. Gideon placed the cracked glass down, his eyes drifting toward Kremy.

"...I ain't been myself recently," he started, choosing his next words carefully.

Taking a deep breath, he continued, "I keep getting in my head about... everything. It's coming up on the anniversary of the day we first met..."

The flames in Gideon's hair flickered, threatening to burn the place down.

"I've been up... just thinking. Dangerous, I know. But I... keep thinking of the hobgoblins coming back. Hells."

Kremy listened intently, his expression uncertain.

"And I know that shit is in the past, but sometimes I look at Gricko and... you know what the kicker is?"

A deep sigh. The bar slowly quieted as stars dotted the night sky. Kremy placed a hand on Gideon's knee, a silent reassurance that he was there.

"I met a family of hobgoblins. They were selling gears and parts. They were so nice... and I've killed so many of their people just because of a small group of them. That's fucked up." His voice swirled with pain as the flames in his hair crept down his back. His fingers toyed with the cracked glass, liquid seeping onto the bar.

"Look, Gideon, it's okay... What happened to you was really screwed up, man... but you can't let it get to you," Kremy's voice trembled as he tried to calm him.

"And hey, that's good, right? You were able to talk to them—hobgoblins."

"You don't get it, Kremy... They ain't the only ones that make me feel like that."

Gideon groaned, looking at Kremy desperately, willing him to understand.

"I fear that one day... one day, you'll see me as an investment. I hate it when you pawn off my services... and that's a crazy way to feel."

Kremy was taken aback by Gideon's words. He felt as if he'd been hit with an Eldritch Blast.

The Genasi's breathing quickened as he tried to focus on the present rather than the storm raging in his mind. His hands gripped the bar tightly.
