My life has been consumed by the lds Church (and offshoots of it)

It's literally all I can think about and I'm 90% sure my friends and family now hate me cause every other sentence out of my mouth is 'in the mormon churc...'

I feel like my brother in his Minecraft phase (we all actively avoided him cause all he said was 'did you know in Minecraft..', tbf he was like 8 but still. And now that's me)

Been learning about the belief that God was once human but eventually become so pure he became God and that all humans (including Satan and Jesus) are his spirit children. Which is kinda neat cause I have never read about any other regions having similar beliefs (there obviously loads of cultures where it says people could achieve godhood but there was normally also inherently divine beings) (Please correct me if I got anything wrong cause I'm not mormon and nobody in my family is)

Quick question, I have no intention of converting (some of the history and remaining bigotry, especially towards queer people and women, in the church really puts me off and Ive never really believed in a God and I don't see that changing any time soon) so would it be mean to let mormon missionaries into my home to just teach me about the religion and then leave. If the opportunity arose. Would I be wasting their time or do you think they'd be OK with it? Would I have to be like 'you guys can totally teach me about the religion and tell me about your testimonies because I find it interesting but I won't be getting baptised or converting'? And would it also be mean to take the free book of mormon they give out cause they could use that on someone else? I don't want to offend them or get their hopes up.

Someone please tell me.

Also you know the section where tumblr has the recommended communities they recommend me a dog one. I think it was literally just called the 'Dog group' which I found funny because:

A- I have never, in my posts or the posts I like implied that I like dogs

B-I am in fact deathly afraid of them (since I was really young) like to the point of shaking and having a panic attack from being in the same room as one (something that's kinda funny in reflection, I have in the past had meltdowns over puppies just running around, but it's incredibly scary in the moment)

I'm working with teenagers!! And holy shit.

I got (accidentally) slammed in the face with a football in the gym... what the poor bleachers they were aiming at did to earn their ire I don't know. Pretty sure I might have something like a concussion from that? Also my glasses broke. Fun times. Anyways.

Before the school session starts I'm working much longer hours so 'how I'm doing' basically boils down to earning the trust and respect of kids at the age where they do Not Trust and Respect. It's going well so far tho! It's been a week and they've gotten much more chill with me :)))

But it is starting to seem like getting slammed in the face with a football unexpectedly in the first week was a very accurate introduction to working with teenagers.

it’s not rlly bullying if genuinely it’s an accessibility problem, it is something i’m aware of and want to fix tbh. i guess irs just that with these doodle comics i tend to put them down on paper and then have to fit in the text where i can manage it, which leads to them not being formatted… the best. i kind of operate on the assumption ppl are individually opening the images and zooming in if the text is small because well… thats how i write them in order to not have 500 gajillion panels but like. y’know. it’s not like… quality quality work out of me

for reference, i grabbed some draft pages of duopath to show you what my first pass handwriting looks like. it’s really bad
