Yassin al-Haj Saleh, "The Liquid Imperialism That Engulfed Syria," Commons, December 18, 2023:
Syria is a country of only 71,498 square miles in area, with a population of less than 24 million, and yet two global superpowers (the United States and the Russian Federation) and three of the largest regional powers (Iran, Turkey and Israel) are present on its territory. Israel has occupied the Syrian Golan Heights since 1967, and carries out almost nonstop incursions into Syrian air space today. In centuries past, prior to the heyday of European and Russian imperialism, Iran and Turkey were empires. While it is debatable whether they still qualify as imperial powers, they have never let go of their regional imperial ambitions. One way to understand them, regionally, is as “subimperial”: expansionist and interventionist, including militarily, in neighboring countries.
The U.S. and Russia have well-known histories of expansion and domination of peoples and territories. Imperialism was key to the very formation of both nations. But while Russia’s “manifest destiny” had been, for centuries, to expand into neighboring areas in Central Asia and Eastern Europe, it was in Syria that Moscow established its first overseas outpost. I will return to this crucial fact later.
In Syria, multiple imperial and subimperial powers have poured into one small country — some of them to protect a murderous regime, all of them annihilating any independent political aspirations among its people, dividing up sectors of Syrian society among themselves and their satellites, and denying Syrians the promise of a different future.
This unique situation was made possible by a combination of internal as well as international structures and dynamics involving five key powers — the U.S., Russia, Iran, Turkey and Israel...
One slogan of the recent protests that erupted in the southern city of Sweida on Aug. 20, 2023, speaks directly to the imperial-colonial complex that controls Syria:
["]We want the seaport, we want the land (the oil, in another formula) and we want the airport returned to us!["]
The seaport is Tartus, which, as mentioned, has been leased to Russia. The land is divided by the five occupying powers. And Damascus International Airport has, for several years now, been widely perceived to be under de facto Iranian control. The protestors in Sweida are thus drawing a connection between their economic hardships and the colonial relations between the regime and its Russian and Iranian protectors. In the version of the slogan that refers to oil, the implication is that it has been usurped by another imperial power: the U.S...
Lenin’s argument that imperialism represents “the highest stage of capitalism” has led many to think of imperialism as embodied in a very few capitalist powers. By this logic, there has been only one imperialism since World War II: Western imperialism, with the U.S. as its center and NATO as its military arm. The Soviet Union was not generally seen by those on the left as imperialist: not following World War II, nor after it invaded Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1968, nor even after it invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Similarly, Putin’s Russia has not generally been understood as imperialist, even after the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the intervention in Syria in 2015. For much of the so-called anti-imperialist left, not even the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 was enough.
This conception of imperialism must be challenged. The case of Syria requires a paradigm shift in the understanding of imperialism and the theorizing of new practices and phenomena pertaining to it.
Ultranationalism, expansion, dismissal of international law, exceptionalism, imperial imaginaries — these are characteristics of many powers in the age of the war on terror. With “terror” identified as the principal political evil globally, any state that joins in this alleged war can gain international legitimacy — even those engaged in war crimes and murder on an industrial scale. This has dealt massive blows to the rule of law both locally and internationally. It has contributed to a securitized politics, it has promoted thuggery among political elites and has weakened democracy and popular movements everywhere. Imperialism has permeated the practices of power in many countries, among which Syria is arguably the most unfortunate, with no fewer than five expansionist powers on its territory.
The concept of liquid imperialism is an attempt to capture the fact that five different powers have penetrated one small country. But it also speaks to the lack of solidity or coherence in these powers’ strategies, practices, visions and commitments. Unlike the imperial projects of the past, in Syria there is no “civilizing mission.” Natural resources are not a primary motive (though the intervening states have seized whatever they can get their hands on, from oil and phosphates to seaports and airports, to water and real estate). Rather, this is a scramble to control the future of the country.
There is also a liquid aspect in the relations among the five colonial powers. In Syria, we have two Russias — one of them is called the U.S. On a rhetorical level (especially at the beginning of the uprising), Moscow and Washington seemed to be on opposite sides: The Kremlin stood by Assad and the White House denounced him. Yet operationally, Russia and the U.S. were effectively on the same side — especially after the Islamic State came into the picture and became the central focus of U.S. strategy in Syria. From that point forward, Moscow and Washington were on the same page: The two powers closely coordinated “deconfliction” and their military personnel were on the phone to each other on a daily basis to avoid planes flying in the same location at the same altitude and to ensure airstrikes didn’t hit one another’s “friendlies.” For all the bluster about Washington wanting “regime change” in Syria, the exact opposite was the case. The researcher Michael Karadjis has demonstrated that U.S. policy in Syria was decidedly one of “regime preservation.”

There has been major developments in the region in the past few days that indicates regional war is imminent. Again the tweets and articles will be in chronological order.
American war ships are in the Mediterranean and Red Seas. Russia responded to that by sending planes to the Black Sea and China by sending warships to Kuwait.
Tumblr media
We got our usual back and forth on the ground operation in Gaza
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The American media is not really reporting these recent attacks on their military bases. In fact, the military is downplaying the strength of the responses by Yemeni and Syrian groups to the Gaza genocide. This is either because they want to avoid regional war or because they want to be better prepared for regional war.
This statement below seems to indicate that Iran is coming to the conclusion that open warfare is the only thing that will deter America and Israel
Tumblr media
As for Yemen, they've declared Israeli ships will be targeted if the attack on Gaza continues (you'll see later that this is no empty threat)
Tumblr media
By the way, Israel bombed an Egyptian military site along the border and claimed it was an accident. The Egyptian people have been calling for their government to intervene militarily and I don't think this will ease the pressure.
On the 22nd, Israel sent a small team to infiltrate Gaza. They didn't get very far
Tumblr media
They're also struggling against Hezbollah
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This meeting by the Russian foreign minister is a big deal as you'll see later
Tumblr media
America responds to the escalating tension by deploying 'defensive systems' all over West Asia. It risks stretching itself too thin as multiple countries are already involved in the Palestian resistance with countries like Egypt and Jordan facing internal pressure to do something about the Gazan genocide
Tumblr media
Republican Mitch McConnell has recently called Iran, Russia and China 'the new axis of evil'. It seems this is the new angle that the West has chosen because Rishi Sunak has also been comparing Hamas to Russia. This can only lead to Russia getting close to Iran which would ultimately help Hamas.
Tumblr media
The situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate as America evacuates its embassy and warns its citizens not to use the Baghdad International Airport due to attacks by Iraqi military groups.
Here we have an Israeli commander admitting that Israel is largely on the defensive against Hezbollah and their soldiers are both traumatised and disheartened. Remember, Hezbollah has yet to officially enter the war
Tumblr media
Blinken said that the US 'will be prepared' if Iran escalates its attacks which gives weight to that idea that the US is only trying to deescalate because its not ready yet.
Tumblr media
A few hours ago, American bases in Syria were targeted. It's becoming clear that a major goal in the plan to defeat Israel is removing America from the picture in the region
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The White House then blames Iran for the attack
Tumblr media
More military bases targeted in Iraq
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile IDF is trying to infiltrate Gaza again. Reminder that a ground operation means that Hezbollah will officially enter the war and begun using its vast numbers of missiles and rockets. They're also attacking the West Bank, the resistance fighters have ambushed them
Tumblr media
Yemen follows through on the threats it made by attacking a US warship with drones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ansarullah claims there was a direct hit but the US Navy says that all drones were intercepted (using days old pictures).
So what now? First, do not expect a ceasefire. Tbh the Palestinian resistance hasn't even called for ceasefire, just an exchange of hostages.
Tumblr media
Second of all, America itself does not believe that Israel can win this war so let's all stop acting like Palestine has already lost
Tumblr media
Thirdly, regional war is looking more and more like reality

One notable instance of this proxy war occurred in mid-September, when Ukrainian forces, in coordination with militant groups in Syria, including Al-Qaeda offshoot Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS - formerly known as Al-Nusra Front), launched a series of drone attacks on Russian military facilities in Syria. [...]
The operation involved Ukrainian private mercenaries called "Khimek,” affiliated with the Main Directorate of Ukrainian Intelligence, working alongside Idlib-based militants to target a drone production and testing site in the southeastern suburbs of Aleppo, according to a Kiev Post report on 18 September. The following day, further drone attacks were carried out on ten Syrian military positions in Aleppo, the southern Idlib countryside, and in northeastern Latakia. In early October, two major Russian military sites - the Hmeimim Base and a weapons depot near the coastal city of Jableh — were repeatedly targeted.
But these operations were not the first initiative aided by Ukrainian military and intelligence agents in Syria. On 26 July, in what militant forces described as a “devastating” and “complex” strike, they targeted Kuweires military airport in Aleppo's east, used as an airbase by Russian troops, one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad in Moscow.
The alliance between Ukrainian intelligence and Syrian militant groups, with support from NATO, is a relatively new but significant development. It began earlier this year, when a Ukrainian delegation visited Idlib to negotiate with the HTS leadership for the release of several Chechen, Georgian, and Uighur militants being held in HTS prisons — estimated at between 750 and 900 prisoners — to enlist as mercenaries for the Ukrainians. The concluded agreement involved the release of militants detained by HTS in exchange for 250 Ukrainian military experts providing training, particularly in the use of drones. The trainees include Turkmen Salafists tasked to manufacture drones and photograph potential Russian and allied Syrian military targets, particularly the 25th Division special forces and National Defense Forces in Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia. [...]
US military forces occupying northeastern Syria play a connection and transportation role in this setup. It is the main actor in managing these various conflict zones and coordinating the positions and cooperation of its proxies.
In early August 2024, the US facilitated the arrival of Ukrainian experts in areas near Jabal al-Zawiya in Idlib and helped transfer aircraft parts - in exchange for transporting extremist fighters, via US bases in Syria, to areas north of Donetsk Oblast. [...]
The militant groups themselves benefit from this alliance in several key ways. With Turkiye edging toward reconciliation with Syria, and Russian-Iranian military cooperation advancing, these groups are left increasingly vulnerable. Aligning with Ukraine and NATO provides them with new resources and support, ensuring their continued survival in the face of changing regional dynamics. The cooperation also offers Syrian extremists access to advanced technology, particularly in drone warfare, which has become a crucial element in their ongoing fight against Syrian and Russian forces.

The Israeli incursions into Syria, advancements on 11 December 2024.
Between December 10 and 11, 2024, military operations in Syria significantly intensified, with notable developments particularly in the regions of Aleppo and Idlib.
1. Aleppo: The city witnessed heavy clashes after years of relative calm. Rebels, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and supported by Ankara, launched an offensive against Syrian government forces. Currently, much of Aleppo is under rebel control. This has resulted in a humanitarian crisis, with hundreds of deaths and injuries, including many civilians. The United Nations has initiated emergency evacuations for diplomatic and humanitarian personnel in the city.
2. Idlib: The entire region is now dominated by Turkish-backed jihadist groups. The strategic Abu Dhuhur airport has fallen into their hands, while government and Russian forces have withdrawn from several key positions in the region.
3. International Interventions: Russia has intensified air raids against Turkish-backed jihadists in Aleppo but has simultaneously begun withdrawing from certain strategic areas east of the Euphrates, allowing greater control by Kurdish and U.S. forces. This reflects a shift in alliance dynamics on the ground, with rising tensions among Moscow, Tehran, and Ankara.
The situation remains extremely fluid and complex, with a mix of local conflicts and global geopolitical interests exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

The IDF imposes a military blockade on Lebanon: "We will also eliminate the replacements; About a million fled their homes"
After the assassination of Nasrallah in Dahiya, and following the IDF's announcement to Lebanon that landings of Iranian planes would not be allowed, in the last day bulldozers were attacked trying to restore the border crossings with Syria - in order to prevent Iranian armament. may be impaired.
in the last day, since the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah in the Da'ha district in Beirut , the IDF has attacked from the air Lebanese bulldozers that were trying to restore the six land border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, which had already been bombed on by the Air Force in the middle of the week. In addition, the IDF has officially informed Lebanon that it will not allow planes from Syria or Iran to land in Beirut, as happened this morning.[...]
So far in the past week, the Air Force has dropped about 3,500 weapons in Lebanon, under the logic of a plan according to which the IDF will first damage Hezbollah's communication and aerial observation capabilities, and then the organization's senior leaders until Nasrallah is defeated.
According to the IDF, the attacks will intensify in the coming days: "There are more capabilities to undermine Hezbollah and more surprises that we are preparing. Good thing the fighting didn't stop. The goal is to weaken Hizbullah as much as possible, and there is now a great uproar and appeal in it. Now we are focused on suffocating Hezbollah with full readiness against Iran and its proxies, including the militias in Syria."
So far, the army has recognized the departure of about 600,000 Lebanese from the south of the country to the north, and about 400,000 more from the neighborhoods of the Dahaiah district who fled their homes. Therefore, there are now about a million displaced Lebanese outside their homes. The army says that "Hezbollah had a wrong assessment of the situation. We chose a method that brings us to the existing result, Hezbollah has more capabilities, but so far it has implemented a tenth of what it planned because we blindsided it.["][...]
There are those in the IDF who estimate that Nasrallah's successor will not be a single figure, but rather a number of parties who will divide his military, civil and organizational roles between them - internally and externally - and this in light of the extensive experience he has gained: "Those who have been eliminated at the top of Hezbollah already have a third and a fourth replacement, and we are studying them as well to eliminate them too."[...]
This morning, as mentioned, a Boeing 747 of the Iranian airline "Kashm Air" made its way back to Tehran after reportedly flying to Beirut - but did not receive permission to land. According to flightradar24 flight number QFZ9964 did retrace its steps. According to the Lebanese MTV network, the IDF hacked into the communication system and broadcast a warning through the control tower of the airport in Beirut, about the landing of the Iranian plane - while threatening that if the plane lands, Israel will be forced to "use force". The aviation to ask the plane not to land, and not to enter the airspace of Lebanon

🟦 CEASEFIRE DREAMS, IRANIAN LIES - Real time from Israel
ISRAEL REALTIME - Connecting to Israel in Realtime
( VIDEO - IDF targeted airstrike in Beirut this morning. )
✡️Erev Shabbat - Parshat (Torah portion) Vayeira - Genesis 18:1 - G‑d reveals Himself to Abraham three days after the first Jew’s circumcision at age ninety-nine; but Abraham rushes off to prepare a meal for three guests who appear in the desert heat. One of the three—who are angels disguised as men—announces that, in exactly one year, the barren Sarah will give birth to a son. Sarah laughs.
▪️SPORTS AND JEW HUNTING.. in football / soccer, the Israeli national team held France to a 0:0 game.  In the stands battles from Arabs who attacked Israeli supporters, who came prepared to defend themselves.
🔸CEASEFIRE DREAMS.. Draft agreement: the US and France will arm the Lebanese army, which will destroy Hezbollah’s infrastructure south of the Litani river and prevent attacks on Israel, with direct American intervention in monitoring the Hezbollah organization so that they do not rearm, France and Great Britain have agreed to participate in maintaining the ceasefire.  The IDF will withdraw after 60 days.
.. Ynet says minister Dermer met with Trump, who ‘hopes the deal will be closed before he takes office’.
.. Commentary: The possibility of the Lebanese army restraining Hezbollah while Iran is army and backing them is a pipe dream, one that will only end up with another war.
.. Note: So far Hezbollah has not even been involved in the negotiations.  Making this ‘the appearance of negotiations’.
.. A senior member of Hezbollah, "The Israeli condition that will allow the occupier to operate militarily inside Lebanon is unacceptable.”
.. Lebanese Al Akhbar news: The American outline for the ceasefire agreement is an attempt at blackmail - either Lebanon will accept it or the war will escalate.  They also report that Israel is demanding international guarantees for the dismantling of all of Hezbollah's military infrastructure above and below the ground, as well as the deployment of the Lebanese army, "reinforced" with UNIFIL forces at all border crossings and airports and the sea.
🔹SYRIA - Eastern Syria: yesterday morning, 3 more trucks crossed from Iraq to Syria accompanied by the forces of the Iraqi Al Hashd Al Sha'abi (Shia militia) organization.
💩IRANIAN PRESIDENT’S LIE OF THE DAY - "We have never sought to possess nuclear weapons, and we will not do so based on the Iranian leader's fatwa on this matter."  (( Said with a straight face while enriching a TON of uranium to weapons grade. ))
💩TURKISH DEF. MIN SAYS - "We do not rule out the outbreak of a third world war and we are making the necessary preparations."
♦️LEBANON - day by day IDF ground forces are working through and combing the areas, capturing war equipment, destroying underground bases and caches, capturing and destroying rocket launchers. Heavy airstrikes on Nabatea, Hezbollah buildings.  The Air Force attacked more than 120 terrorist targets throughout Lebanon.
.. “But why are there still so many rocket launches?”  Because Hezbollah, with Iran funding and support, has been receiving and burying launchers for 20 years.  There is a LOT to work through.
⭕Hezbollah summarizes the previous day with 32 terror launches  against Israel, 20 of them against civilian towns and cities.  (( How many US, French, EU or UN statements have you heard against those 20 launches at civilian towns that Hezbollah clearly states they did (war crime)?  How many evac notices (zero)?  As Israeli children are directly targeted, how many human rights organizations, women’s and children’s organizations, have you heard speak out about targeting Jewish children?  …Exactly. ))

Hi this might be a stupid question but when you posted about Dulles Airport what did you mean by? I've been going the the tags trying to understand but I am so lost
it's just an airport in DC. I was inverting the way the US and its allies try to justify bombing SWANA airports
these aren't military bases, these are regular old civilian airports, and the militaries bombing them are only doing so because those countries are home to resistance factions (unaffiliated with the airports) that are fighting to stop the Gaza genocide

Israel on Tuesday eliminated senior Hezbollah terrorist Salman Nemer Jamaa in an airstrike in Damascus, Syria.
Jamaa, who was Hezbollah’s top representative in Syria, was killed in a drone strike near Damascus airport, Arab media reports say. “Syrian regime-affiliated news reported that a vehicle was struck by an Israeli UAV,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported.
Tumblr media
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the elimination of Jamaa in “an intelligence-based strike in Damascus.”
The successful strike “degrades both Hezbollah’s presence in Syria and Hezbollah’s ongoing force-building efforts,” the Israeli military announced in a press release Tuesday afternoon.
IDF described the slain terrorist as a “key Hezbollah figure” in the Iranian and Syrian regime’s “weapon smuggling to Lebanon.”
“Jamaa, a senior Hezbollah terrorist, has held various positions in the Hezbollah terrorist organization over the past years, especially in the Syrian arena,” the IDF statement noted. “He had previously served as the Head of Intelligence in the Khiam arena, the Head of Operations in Hezbollah’s Damascus command center, and in recent years, Hezbollah’s representative to the Syrian military.”
“As part of his role, Jamaa was responsible for coordinating between Hezbollah operatives and the Syrian military, including supporting weapons smuggling from Syria to Hezbollah, including during the “Swords of Iron” war. Additionally, he was in close contact with Syrian state officials,” the IDF added.

(PrR) Lebanese journalist Khalil Nasrallah: "Israel" is experiencing a euphoria over changes in Syria. It exploits these changes to its advantage, for the benefit of its existence.
What it is doing against the resources of the Syrian people is aggression against every Syrian, regardless of their political affiliation. Syria is under "israeli" and American threat, a reality that cannot be ignored now, in the future, or as it was in the past.
"Israel" is comprehensively targeting all military airports, strategic resources, defense factories, scientific research centers, and other sites across Syria. From Jableh in the west to Qamishli in the east, it continues to destroy Syria.
This is a prelude to a weakened Syria that will eventually succumb to normalization conditions.
The massive aggression against Syria is taking place amid total and deafening international silence.

Syria’s Central Bank transported large shipments of U.S. dollars and euros to Russia by air between March 2018 and September 2019, The Financial Times reported on December 15, citing data from the Russian customs aggregator Import Genius.
According to the FT, the Assad regime sent nearly two tons of $100 and 500 euro banknotes to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport. Over the period in question, 21 flights carried more than $250 million in cash from Syria to Moscow.
Records reviewed by the FT show that the funds were deposited into two Russian banks: Russian Financial Corporation (RFK) and TsMR Bank, both under U.S. sanctions. RFK is a subsidiary of Rosoboronexport, Russia’s state arms exporter.
A source familiar with the Syrian Central Bank’s finances told the FT that by 2018, Syria’s foreign reserves were nearly depleted. Due to international sanctions, the bank relied on cash payments to procure Russian wheat, pay for printing currency, and cover “defense” expenses. The source said the payments were made using “what was available in the vault.”
Russian customs documents also indicate that military components and newly printed Syrian banknotes — produced by Russia’s state-run printing company Goznak — were sent to Syria over several years, including both before and after the cash shipments. However, there is no evidence that the two Russian banks involved handled cash transfers from Syria or any other country outside the 2018–2019 period.
The FT noted that these cash transfers occurred when “the then Syrian dictator was indebted to the Kremlin for military support and his relatives were secretly buying assets in Russia.” In 2019, the FT wrote that relatives of Bashar al-Assad had acquired at least 20 apartments in Moscow since 2013.

Israel's Genocidal Playbook
Tumblr media
Israel just followed this EXACT same genocidal playbook in Palestine over the past year.
Israel is about to follow the same EXACT genocidal playbook once again this time in Lebanon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Israel Genocidal Playbook 101
•Shut down international airport in Gaza.
•Cut Palestine off from the world — food, fuel, medical supplies, all international travel.
•Forced famine & starvation campaign due to food no longer entering the country + displacing internal farmers + disrupting countrys internal food supply.
•Airline threatened by US with economic sanctions if they fly wounded, injured & dying civilians internationally for medical treatment resulting in needless & completely unnecessary deaths.
•Millions potentially starving to death as a militaristic genocidal campaign — the literal definition of a war crime.
•Warnings to residential areas, neighborhoods, airports & public buildings of Israel Defense Force bombings literally only a few minutes before they occur not allowing any chance for an actual evacuation.
•Bombings of residential areas, schools, hospitals, airports, mosques, public buildings & "safe zones".
•Purposefully targeting civilians in a “collective punishment” scorched earth campaign for Hamas resistance (Palestine) & support of Gaza & Hezbollah resistance (Lebanon).
What can we do to stop it?
When Biden has supported, promoted, funded & provided weapons for the genocide in Palestine for over a year that has murdered 200k+ Palestinian civilians?
What can we do when Trump was elected & he very recently told Netanyahu to “finish the job” in Palestine?
What can we do when both Republicans & Democrats support Israels genocide in Palestine?
So, how do we stop the United States from funding, providing weapons for, threatening economic sanctions over, protecting, defending, justifying, rationalizing & endlessly promoting yet another genocide this time in Lebanon?
Yemen could be next — genocide is already happening.
Syria could be next.
Iran could be next.
Do you ever question why the US is always involved in “conflicts & tensions” in the Middle East?
Do you ever question what George H.W. Bush was referencing when he gave his “New World Order” speech in 1991 on the eve of the Gulf War (first Iraq war) when he declared that global alliances & enmity had shifted and that the Cold War enemies of the past — communist Russia & China — were no longer the United States’ ideological existential foes but now it was the Middle East at the time Iraq?
Do you ever wonder why Russia backed Afghanistan in the 1980s?
Why did the PLO form?
Why did Hezbollah form?
Why did Hamas form?
Why did October 7th happen?
What was the Nakba in 1948?
Why did then Senator Biden tell Congress in 1986 that if “Israel didnt exist, we would have had to create her.”
Who is “we”?
Do you ever wonder why historical references to Palestine date back thousands of years but Israel does not?
Why did Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali consider Palestinians “their” brothers & sisters?
Tumblr media
Why is Chevron funding the building of oil wells on the Gaza Strip?
Why every 20 years or so has there been a major conflict or war in the United States dating back to WW II?
Notice a pattern?
•WW I: 1920s
•WW II: 1940s
•Korean War: 1950s
•Vietnam War: 1970s
•Gulf War (Persian Gulf I - official name): 1990s
•Iraq War (Persian Gulf III - official name): 2000s
•WW III (US & Israel & UK vs Iran/Syria/Iraq/Palestine/Lebanon/Yemen & US, Ukraine & UK vs Russia, China & North Korea): 2020s…
They are purposely crashing the economy right now.
Why?
To drive up military enlistment which is already happening.
US troops are already in Israel.
North Korea has already sent troops to Russia.
If the Middle East didnt have oil, do you think the United States would be interested in them geopolitically?
Why are there simultaneous genocides occurring in Palestine, Lebanon &:
•Congo: Cobalt - used for batteries for iPhones, electronic vehicles, tablets, laptops, computers, TVs & smart watches.
•Local warlords fight each other & kill civilians in the crossfire over controlling cobalt mines given how valuable they are to Google, Apple, Samsung & Tesla.
•Sudan: United States & UAE (Dubai) control, fund & supply weapons to RSF (Rapid Support Forces) who are fighting against the SAF (Sudanese Armed Forces).
•Sudans biggest export is gold & the US & Dubai want to exploit the tensions between the RSF & SAF to keep Sudan destabilized so they can control the gold. •Both the RSF & SAF are committing genocide against their own Sudanese civilians & war atrocities & crimes against humanity including mass rapes, torture, mass graves, targeting civilians. •Over 100 Sudanese women recently committed suicide to avoid brutalistic gang rape by both the RSF & SAF.
•Eritrea
•Tigray (Ethiopia)
•Yemen
•Uyghurs
•Mali (mass rapes at border of country due to internal conflict & killings)
•Etc etc etc…
All of the above involve the same settler expansionist, resource exploiting, colonizing mindset & strategy of forced famines & starvation, forced relocations, collective punishment, targeting civilians, murdering women & children, targeting residential areas, schools, hospitals, refugee camps & “safe zones”, scorched earth tactics, breaking the will of the people, psychological torture, dehumanization, numbing & desensitizing the rest of the world, threats of economic sanctions against any company or country who resists.
Why do you think the ICC (International Criminal Court) & the ICJ (International Court of Justice) havent arrested anyone?
Why do you think the UN has not brought charges against anyone for human rights violations?
Why is western media covering up these genocides?
Why is the global community silent in their complicity?
What can we do?
Other than signing online petitions, calling our Congress members & Senator, attending marches, rallies, protests, die-ins, civil disobedience, strikes, days of rage, days of action, vigils for martyrs, volunteering for local Socialist (DSA), Party for Socialism & Liberation (PSL), Working Peoples Party, Communist, Green Party & Peoples Party community organizing events?
You can raise your voice.
You can be a voice for the voiceless.
You can refuse to look away, get tired, numb, defeated, fatigued & exhausted.
You can continue the long term fight against injustice and for liberation.
Revolution.
Redemption.
Genocides have been happening as long as humanity has existed.
Rwanda. Serbia. Philippines. Armenia.
Haiti. Native Americans.
African slavery in the United States.
Struggle! Resist! Fight!
It's a long term fight beyond any of our individual lifespans of 100 to 500+ years.
For liberation.
Choose not to distract yourself.
Bring what is being hidden in the dark to the light.
Be a light. Be a voice.
Share. Post. Reshare. Repost. Comment.
Interact. Engage. Donate if you can.
Tweet. Post videos. Stream.
Talk to your family & friends in real life.
Dont let the genocide become normalized.
Dont get used to videos & images of dead children.
Connect the dots.
Realize the ideology that is driving all of this death & destruction.
Realize that its always been the same ideology.
Realize all of this misery, pain, suffering, torture, death & destruction is for money & resources.
What every single war & genocide has ever been for.
Realize there are no “good wars”.
Realize the United States employed these same exact scorched earth tactics in WWII when they literally burned & cooked alive over 100k Japanese civilians in the Tokyo fire raids.
Yet the US was never tried for their horrific war crimes & atrocities in WW II.
Yes, its plural. No, they never apologized.
The victors never punish themselves.
Dont become numb. Dont ignore.
Dont look away. Dont distract yourself.
Raise your voice!

Iran-specific updates of April 13, 2024 - related Palestine and Israel. From LetsTalkPalestine. (Edited)
🇮🇷 Explaining Iran & Israel
Israel has attacked Iran assets in Syria & Iraq for months but Iran showed restraint, hoping to avoid war. But recent Israeli attack on Iran’s Syria consulate, killing 16, crossed a line
🇺🇸 If Iran doesn’t respond, it looks weak & emboldens more Israeli attacks. But too strong an attack may spark full war, involving US which Israel wants but Iran & US don’t. US trying to deter Iran diplomatically but repositioning its warships & assets in case
⏰ Iran response expected in next 24 hours, possibly via unprecedented direct strikes on Israel or Israeli assets abroad. May have already begun w/ Iran seizing Israel-linked ship near Dubai hours ago
🇱🇧 This may involve Iran-allied Hezbollah in Lebanon. Recent Israeli withdrawal of most troops from Gaza may signify shifting focus to Hezbollah. IOF last week announced transition from defensive to offensive against Hezbollah. Yesterday Hezbollah fired 40 rockets + armed drones at Israel, its biggest barrage since Oct
"The Cradle" on Instagram Stories, Iran Kamikaze UAVs spotted over Iraq airspace.
🚨‼️ Four US and Israeli officials say that Iran just launched an attack against Israel using dozens of drones.
While the only sources right now are Israeli & US, the video above seems to be footage showing the drones crossing over Iraq on their way to strike Israel.
This is unprecedented — Iran has never struck Israel directly before. It also marks the first time a major state’s military strikes at Israel in decades.
The following questions are left unclear: will the US intercept Iran’s drones and therefore become drawn into the Iranian-Israeli confrontation? Is this the start or the end of Iran’s retaliation? How much damage will the drone strikes deal? And, most importantly, will Israel, more insecure and paranoid than ever, choose to escalate this into a regional war?
This is a quickly developing story and there’s a lot of misinformation and unverified info so please be careful. Don’t believe everything you read or watch.
We try our best to verify information.
🚨 Not clear yet what type of Iranian artillery is being used: there are drones but also speculated they’re firing missiles which would reach Israel quicker. The attacks were launched in multiple rounds
They’re targeting military bases mainly in the south. Israel confirmed hits on 2 sites in Naqab (south): military base + military airport
Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan & Israel airspaces were all closed for commercial flights in anticipation
Israelis were told to shelter until now, while at least 727 sirens have gone off across settlements in Occupied Palestine mainly in the south & north, with the expectation that targets will focus on the south as settlers in Eilat were given early sheltering orders
Jordanian jets shooting down dozens of Iranian drones & missiles above Jordan. US & UK are intercepting Iran’s projectiles before reaching Israel, while Israel claims to have intercepted 99% of Iran artillery
🇱🇧🇾🇪 Reports that Hezbollah & Yemen Houthis are also launching attacks at Israel

So Israel, in its absolutely ludicrous arrogance, has now managed to:
Get Pakistan and Iran, who attack each other, to somehow...burying the hatchet cuz FUCK ISRAEL I guess??
Piss off the Houthis
Bring in the West and piss off the whole of Yemen MORE
Piss off the Yemeni so much the various government parties and civilians ALSO bury the hatchet cuz FUCK ISRAEL
Bomb Libanon
Piss off Hezbollah
Get Hezbollah chomping at the bit for any excuse to reenact 2006 because FUCK ISRAEL
Teach the world through research into Hezbollah that Israel LOVES the human shields excuse (its your choice to kill them anyway, habibi)
Bomb Syria
Bring in the Iraqi resistance that promptly attacks Haifa and disables the airport because FUCK ISRAEL
Piss off the Saudis who block the airspace to anyone trying to deliver weaponry
Piss off every goddamn civilian in the area because FUCK ISRAEL is apparently a very common sentiment
Give Hamas TONS of good press through dozens of easily seen through lies
Raise support for Palestine MORE through said lies
Turn the whole civilian world against them
Fuck up their own economy
Divide the Jewish into two distinct factions like never before
Expose the corruption and depravity in the world governments for all to see
Make people aware of media bias against Arabic and North African people
Put Islam into a favorable light for the first time in decades because the world actually learns about it now despite Hollywood's best efforts
Improve everyone's legal knowledge cuz we're all following the court proceedings
Improve everyone's understanding of how to get reliable information and spot propaganda
Educate the world about Apartheid
Educate the world about Nelson Mandela specifically
Boost Palestinian solidarity AGAIN because even Nelson Mandela said FUCK ISRAEL
Make FUCK ISRAEL the most common stance on them
Improve understanding of Antisemitism through constantly using it as a defense and annoying people into not being antisemitic in the first place (from what I've seen anyway)
Humiliate Germany on a global level (which I am quite pleased with as a German)
Unite and mobilise people like never before
And all that by being so fucking shitty at military, human rights and PR that no one can deny it unless they're literally doing it on purpose
I don't remember the world ever agreeing so wholeheartedly on something as they agree on FUCK ISRAEL and, more importantly,
From the River to the Sea Palestine will be Free

Polish Defense Spending to Hit 4.7% of GDP by 2025 | Gen. Jarosław Kraszewski
Poland's largest defense expo is underway in Kielce, with over 750 companies displaying cutting-edge military technology. Notably, Poland is increasing its defense budget to 4.7% of its GDP by next year. Amid the signing of major contracts, including an airport protection system from a Spanish firm, there’s also a push to develop domestic production, such as a planned ammunition factory. Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has also emphasized the need for "precise" contracts, including ongoing negotiations for more K2 tanks from South Korea. General Jarosław Kraszewski, former Director of the Armed Forces Supervision Department at the Polish National Security Bureau, joined us today on TVP World to discuss these developments.
P.S. The Poles have made a very correct decision! Glad to hear: "Poland is increasing its defence budget to 4.7% of its GDP". Considering the high level of political corruption in the West and the extent to which Russian spies and agents of influence have infiltrated Western societies, Western security "guarantees" and "international laws" cannot be relied upon at all: 1) The Russian imperialists would never have started the war against Ukraine if Western capital, specifically German, French, Dutch, American and all other businessmen, had not invested huge funds in the Russian economy and in the restoration of the Russian military potential (the Russians obtained the military technology they lacked, both directly and indirectly, the West donated for the Russians possibility to steal Western military technology secrets without hindrance); 2) The West significantly reduced the military potential of Western European countries and CATEGORICALLY REFUSED TO INCREASE the defense of Eastern Europe and the Baltic regions at leas since 2006. Even when the Russian invasion of Georgia began in Europe in August 2008, the West pretended that nothing was happening...;
Even more, Western politicians started pushing the idea that NATO is no longer needed, the Western fiasco in Syria, and the West went so far in an absurd situation that they even started talking about giving the Russians a "sphere of influence" in Europe...it must be allowed to attack Ukraine and the Baltic States without hindrance. A. Merkel's German policy in relations with Russia was a particularly big shame for Western politicians, and of course the political circus organized by Donald Trump in America.... It is such a shame that there are no words to describe it... Of course, the Kremlin and Beijing saw all this activity of the Western useful idiots very well... the Russian army, together with Iran, entered Syria without interference, continued attacks in Ukraine, Beijing is becoming more and more aggressive, and this is only thanks to the useful idiots of the West, who have betrayed absolutely all the West's civilization values....
