Sleeping in Paradise

Summary: The cultivation world thought the Yiling Patriarch died from qi deviation years ago. Deep inside Lotus Pier, there is a forbidden area personally created by Yungmeng Jiang's sect leader, Jiang Wanyin and carefully tended by the lady of Lanling Jin, Jiang Yanli. A closely kept secret houses the slumbering form of their adoptive brother. Then little Jin Ling decided to sneak in to the forbidden paradise. (prompt: AU where Demonic Cultivation shattered Wei Wuxian's soul before Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli's deaths and he went into a death-like state. Since nobody's ever done demonic arts before, nobody's sure if Wei Wuxian is alive or dead so they preserve his body and watch over him.)

i finished watching the paradise of thorns like an hour ago and yet i still can't think about it without my brain blacking out. what the fuck. i understand why no one has written anything about it yet. i too, would not know where the fuck to begin. what the fuck. everything about this movie is so unexpected. it's like getting hit with a brick durian in the face every thirty minutes. and then the last fifteen minutes are just. durian to the face. durian to the face. giant durian to the face. what the fuck.

okay why did I do all that coloring- uh- anyway, welcome back to the SM x MLB AU series where I talk about specific characters and share my ideas about those characters! RADFORD/THE GLITCH TIME ‼️‼️‼️

Now, the main thing I wanna talk about is The Glitch, especially how his powers work

The Glitch does have multiple powers, like going in and out of digital screens, and teleporting and all that- (low key kinda sad I kinda abandoned the possession idea but I feel like that would make him too OP, if he isn’t too OP already-)

His main power, though, is transporting people into their devices, and giving them their own special ‘digital movie paradise’ where they can be “happy”

For example, Kevin’s ‘paradise’ is a beach vacation, away from the Candy Club

Fun Fact : In the real world, to anybody outside of their ‘paradises’, the victim’s phone just shows an ‘emoji’-like picture of the victim, being all happy and stuff, and text on the bottom that says the victim is ‘offline’

I can’t really think of any paradises for the other characters rn tho- s o -

Now, onto something else about The Glitch I wanna point out, his voice and how he speaks (cause it’s kinda cool and kinda spooky-)

Something strikes me about these lyrics - Calypso obviously needs to learn to take no for an answer, but when it comes to letting Odysseus go - can she, actually? In Epic, is she trapped, too?

Gally hides a lot of his panic attacks and nightmares that he got after he went through the Changing in a desperate attempt to be liked again in the Glade

He was kind of universally hated in the books, apparently becoming extremely unlikeable after he got Stung

which is honestly so sad. What he saw drove him slightly insane and he couldn’t handle it and shut down.
