I think this is what really gets to me sometimes.

It's becoming more and more recognized that US Millennials and the generations coming after us were and are living through an era of war on our doorsteps, in our schools, of trauma and violence, of economic recession and our futures being stolen away. This is what happened.

But this post? This is also true, especially for my generation, those who grew up in the 2000s and 2010s. We grew up in a world of "Things aren't good but we're going to make it better," of small steps and steady pushing towards progress.

And I know it likely started before then, but it feels like 2020 is the year we can point to and say "this is the moment everything was ripped away from us." These days, the desire for progress feels a lot less like hope and a lot more like a desperate cling for survival. It's not "things are getting better," it's "things have to get better," because considering any other option is all but a one-way trip into a bottomless pit of despair.

I'm not saying we took what we had for granted. Not at all. A lot of us did already know that what we had was being taken from us. We just didn't realize how bad it truly was, how drastic it would be.

am taking perverse pleasure in reminding people it's 2025. that's a star trek year. silly little science fiction number. except it's happening, and DANG ain't it underwhelming!

I think at some point in time we need to sit down and start explaining to artist who want to make a career out of art that there are FAR more options than just "living off of commissions" and "posting my art online and praying I get paid for it".

I wish Ninjago had explained why s8-10 Zane was so quick to use his cloak whenever he was in public. I know the meta reason for it but I think it would be interesting if there was an in-universe reason as well. Everyone in Ninjago City already knows Zane is a nindroid but the idea of him making himself look more palatable to humans and only feeling comfortable being himself in private is an interesting concept that could've been explored further.

i just. have so many emotions for this series. i’ve been here since the VERY VERY BEGINNING (like ep one beginning) and i just. love this series. it’s gotten me through so many hard points in my life and had been one of the best experiences i’ve had in this fandom so far. donnie’s death was expected, but the way it was done was beautiful. i cried. a lot. and i know it’s not over, but when it soon comes to an end i know i’ll cry harder.

cass, i hope you know how valued your story is. i love it so much. i have lived the characters and i cannot wait for their happy ending ���️

The Princess Bride is such a funny book to read after ONLY seeing the movie. Like Goldman made up a fake author from a fake country and proceeded to write the book as an abridged version of what the fake author wrote... and then he proceeds to add in notes to the "abridged version" mentioning all the boring world building stuff he skipped because it was boring.

Like shout out to William Goldman, man really did make an entire book that is just "the cool scenes you thought of in your head" and then made up a fake author to abridge so he doesn't have to connect them.

And it slaps
