next season needs to have an episode named Charlie Tummy Day where his tummy hurts soo bad. it’s a very belated house md parody in which dennis & dee try to treat the affliction while mac & frank run around retracing charlie’s footsteps to try & diagnose what caused it. while charlie just lies there feeling sorry for himself, being cute & alternately coddled/subjected to cruel experimental treatments by the twins

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me. From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be, Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow, And soonest our best men with thee do go, Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery. Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men, And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell, And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then? One short sleep past, we wake eternally And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die. - Death, be not proud by John Donne

to people saying "oh i've only seen [small number] i need to watch more movies," why not start with the ones on this list that were directed or co-directed by women!
Anatomy of a Fall (2023) dir. Justine Triet
A woman is suspected of her husband’s murder, and their blind son faces a moral dilemma as the sole witness.
Lost in Translation (2003) dir. Sofia Coppola
Two lost souls visiting Tokyo – the young, neglected wife of a photographer and a washed-up movie star shooting a TV commercial – find an odd solace and pensive freedom to be real in each other’s company, away from their lives in America.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) dir. Céline Sciamma
On an isolated island in Brittany at the end of the eighteenth century, a female painter is obliged to paint a wedding portrait of a young woman.
Lady Bird (2017) dir. Greta Gerwig
Lady Bird McPherson, a strong willed, deeply opinionated, artistic 17 year old comes of age in Sacramento. Her relationship with her mother and her upbringing are questioned and tested as she plans to head off to college.
Toni Erdmann (2016) dir. Maren Ade
Without warning a father comes to visit his daughter abroad. He believes that she lost her humor and therefore surprises her with a rampage of jokes.
Little Miss Sunshine (2006) dir. Valerie Faris & Jonathan Dayton
A family loaded with quirky, colorful characters piles into an old van and road trips to California for little Olive to compete in a beauty pageant.
The Hurt Locker (2008) dir. Kathryn Bigelow
During the Iraq War, a Sergeant recently assigned to an army bomb squad is put at odds with his squad mates due to his maverick way of handling his work.
Aftersun (2022) dir. Charlotte Wells
Sophie reflects on the shared joy and private melancholy of a holiday she took with her father twenty years earlier. Memories real and imagined fill the gaps between miniDV footage as she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn’t.
Past Lives (2023) dir. Celine Song
After decades apart, childhood friends Nora and Hae Sung are reunited in New York for one fateful weekend as they confront notions of destiny, love, and the choices that make a life.
The Gleaners & I (2001) dir. Agnès Varda
Varda focuses her eye on gleaners: those who scour already-reaped fields for the odd potato or turnip. Her investigation leads from forgotten corners of the French countryside to off-hours at the green markets of Paris, following those who insist on finding a use for that which society has cast off, whether out of necessity or activism.
Fish Tank (2010) dir. Andrea Arnold
Fifteen-year-old Mia is in a constant state of war with her family and the world around her. When she meets her party-girl mother’s charming new boyfriend Connor, she is amazed to find he returns her attention, and believes he might help her start to make sense of her life.

Yeah I’m on a lot of things lately. I’m on a lot of stuff. I’m on Adderall. I’m on Zoloft. I’m on the grindset. I’m on that good shit. I’m on the down low. I’m on the up and up. I’m on the verge. I’m on cloud nine. I’m on the tip of your tongue. I’m on your mind. I’m on your nerves. I’m on fire. I’m on fleek. I’m on a roll. I’m on my way. I’m on the lookout. I’m on the radio. I’m on the verge of tears. I’m on the defensive. I’m on the cusp. I’m on the case. I’m on the road. I’m on the run. I’m on the same page. I’m on the mend. I’m on the inside. I’m on the right track. I’m on the path. I’m on the prowl. I’m on the brink. I’m on the phone. I’m on the table. I’m on the way. I’m on the street. I’m on the site. I’m on the edge. I’m on the level. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out. I’m on the down and out.
