I'm so grateful to be able to accept and enjoy the contours of my own body. Dismantling and healing from self-hatred and body dysmorphia has taken me a long, loooong time, but baby I'm here showing up for myself every day!!!
The bad body image days still exist - but I can move through those feelings instead of being dragged down by them. A few bad days will never erase my progress 🫶🏼
Fighting to accept my body, heal my eating disorders, and rewrite the toxic narratives I was taught about self-worth, beauty, and body size has been a hard but extremely worthwhile journey. Honestly it's saved my life.
You CAN change your internal narrative and rewrite your own story with love and acceptance for yourself, and I hope that you do 💗 we deserve love and tenderness from ourselves most of all!!

It's okay to set boundaries. It's okay to protect your peace. And you definitely don't need to apologize for it. Setting boundaries doesn’t make you selfish, rude, or cold-hearted. It means you know your limits, and you value your mental and emotional well-being.
For too long, I used to say "sorry" for simply looking after myself. I felt guilty for prioritizing my needs, but I’ve come to realize that when I don’t set boundaries, I’m the one who ends up drained. And guess what? You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Boundaries are a form of self-respect and care, and there’s absolutely no shame in that. Whether it’s stepping away from a draining conversation, saying “no” to plans, or simply carving out time for yourself—you deserve that space. So, if you've been apologizing for creating healthy boundaries, stop. Protect your peace unapologetically.

They always talk about taking responsibility for our own actions, our life, and our past instead of blaming our parents.
But people who blame their parents do so because everything they did in their lives was either for their parents or because of their parents, it was all about them, so of course they’d consider them responsible!
The key to taking back control of our lives and actions and moving forward can’t be found in taking responsibility, before it is found in taking credit!
Once you take credit for all your achievements and all your good deeds and the good way you’ve turned out to be or were after all that hurt, you will be able to take responsibility for the damage and the dark parts in you, because only then will you be able to see that it was you all along who did everything.
You are the one who’s chosen to act and react in the ways you did, even if your parents were the reason or the motivation.
You were the doer, you were the achiever. Feel “responsible” for the good things first, and then it’ll be easier to feel responsible for the other tougher things.
You have to stop ascribing your success solely to your parents and claim your wins first, in order to take responsibility and control over your own life and take action in the present…take credit, then responsibility.

I’ve cried rivers over you. I’ve felt your absence in every part of me, as if a piece of my soul was missing. I missed you with everything I had—my heart, my mind, my body. There were moments when the pain consumed me, and I even hated you for it. I hated how you left, how you made me feel like I wasn’t enough. And for a long time, I wondered if it was all my fault. I questioned everything about myself, every action, every word.
But not anymore.
There came a moment when I finally understood something so powerful that it set me free: it wasn’t that I wasn’t good enough for you—it was that I was too much. I loved with a depth you couldn’t meet. I cared in ways that you couldn’t understand. I brought passion, honesty, and strength to the table, and it wasn’t that those things weren’t valuable. They were simply too big for the space you had in your life.
I used to think that I needed to change, to be smaller, quieter, easier for you. But I’ve learned that the problem was never me trying to be enough—it was you not being able to receive all that I am. I am more than enough, and I deserve someone who sees that, who can meet me at my level and celebrate my fullness.
