Wellness Wednesday!
You know what? Sometimes, it’s okay to be a “haunt mess.” We all have those days (or weeks) where life feels a little spooky in all the wrong ways.
To be honest, I’ve been having a tough time myself lately. Depression has a sneaky way of showing up like an uninvited ghost, but I’m reminding myself that it’s part of the ebb and flow of life.
Even when things seem rough, there’s always a rainbow after the storm. We just have to weather it. So if you’re feeling like a bit of a "haunt mess" right now, know that you’re not alone. Let’s keep haunting through it together.
Love ya all!

I think it’s very important for us high maintenance girlies to be our own makeup artist, stylist, hairdresser, nail tech etc.
obviously you don’t need to learn everything but I think it definitely helps to have your style/aesthetic down to a T so that when the time comes when you’re being catered for you can show someone exactly how to care for you..
I remember when I learned how to cornrow my hair (childish I know) during the pandemic.. I was so proud because I never took the time to learn about my hair and I was soo used to getting my hair done by my hairdresser or my sisters.
but this year I told myself, it’s the year I’m going to so self sufficient that I won’t need anything from anyone. we’ve got 6 months of the year left, why don’t you challenge yourself and try a new skill or learn something new.
If you feel like you heavily rely on people, I’m talking to you! simply start your own self sufficient journey by taking these little steps…
I’m about to embark on a new journey of teaching myself other beauty treatments that I tend to outsource. I want to be everything and more for myself and I WILL
ps. I love being pampered and taken care of by others but I also love knowing that should anyone disappoint me or not show up for me.. I’ve got myself ✨

how to create your own morning/night routines
hey there, lovelies! people are always talking about their 'daily routines' and what they do in the mornings/nights to take care of themselves. so how do you create ones that cater to your unique needs and preferences? here's a simple guide to help you get started:
assess your needs
take some time to reflect on what you need and want out of your morning and night routines. do you crave a slow, peaceful start to your day, or do you prefer to hit the ground running? do you need help winding down and relaxing in the evening, or do you thrive on productivity until bedtime? understanding your needs will help you create routines that work for you.
prioritize self-care
no matter what your morning and night routines look like, be sure to prioritize self-care. this could include activities like meditation, journaling, skincare, exercise, or simply enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. find activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul, and incorporate them into your routines.
establish a consistent schedule
consistency is key when it comes to morning and night routines. try to wake up and go to bed at the same time each day, and aim to start and end your routines around the same time as well. this will help regulate your body's internal clock and make it easier to stick to your routines over time.
tailor your routines to your goals
think about your goals and priorities, both short-term and long-term, and tailor your routines accordingly. if you're working towards a fitness goal, for example, you might want to incorporate exercise into your morning routine. if you're trying to improve your sleep quality, you might focus on relaxation techniques in the evening.
be flexible
while consistency is important, it's also important to be flexible and adaptable with your routines. life can be unpredictable, and there will inevitably be days when your routines don't go as planned. instead of getting discouraged, try to go with the flow and adjust your routines as needed.
listen to your body
above all, listen to your body and honor its needs. if you're feeling tired and sluggish in the morning, give yourself permission to take it easy and ease into your day. if you're feeling restless and wired at night, try incorporating calming activities to help you unwind and relax.

Self care journey 3.0 - WEEK 2
This is the second week of my dear friend @oneardentstudybuddy and I working on practicing self care daily without feeling too overwhelmed about it. My goal for this week is to rest. Next week I'll start commuting to uni again, and I desperately need to recharge before that, so this week's focus is precisely that.
Take some days off from studying (as I am posting I am still debating whether I should take the whole week off or still try to get something done for a couple of days, after some planning and having an overview of my study progress in the past weeks I'll decide what to do)
Moisturize my tattoos (I tend to be a bit more careful with this during the warmer months, and I'd like to pay more attention to it now that it's also cold)
Monthly therapy session
Journal for at least 10 minutes
Turn off phone at least 30 minutes before bed and try to read at least a couple of pages of a book before sleeping every night (once again, because I am still struggling with it and it's my priority to get this habit back)
Create a cozy space to read/romanticize taking time off studying (whatever happens fight the guilt of not studying, I need and deserve rest even though sometimes my brain tells me the opposite)
Bake something (I have always found this relaxing but lately it also got into the list of activities that felt too overwhelming, so maybe fight that too)

Journals:
I find joy in my journals. I have been journaling off and on since 2011. It began as a way to chronicle my lovely dates with my boyfriend (now husband ) when we had just started dating. I’d record every moment I wanted to keep forever in the pages of a little paper blanks journal from the college book store. Over the years it has evolved into more of a meditative mind dump. It’s helped to provide me the space to rant, ramble, and repeat thoughts and feelings without judgment. Sometimes, in the Midst of ranting about a certain problem, I come to either a solution or a personal discovery as I untangle the web of thoughts I have unceremoniously dumped onto the pages. I find so much joy in picking out a new journal each time I begin to close in on the end of my current one. My all tome favorite place to find journals right now is in the Great Wall book store within the china town mall here in Las Vegas. The first journal I ever got from there was as my first Valentine’s gift from my husband back in 2012. After I dragged it out off him where he had found suc an adorable little journal, I started buying most of them from there. There’s all sorts of sweet little designs with illustrations in the pages. I’ve recently been drawn to their plush cover journals because something about them feel cozier for my evening journaling. But to be honest, what really has helped me find more internal joy, genuine happiness, was the recent implementation of the gratitude journal. I am not naturally a grateful or positive person. My journal entries were often a lot of ranting and lamentations of what has been lost or what i do not have. I was often told that gratitude journaling would be a useful tool for me but I just felt like there was nothing to be grateful for. On a day I was going to look for a new journal at china town, I ended up stumbling upon three matching journals for 5$ each at Ross. Now, I love my china town journals but they can be pricey, and these were just what I needed.aesthetically pleasing, spiral bound as a bonus, not something I usually work with, and cheap. I only really needed one, but for that price, I wanted all three of these pretty books. But what did I need 3 for ?? I designated the black one for mind dumps, the mauve colored one for gratitude journaling. And the blue one for another new type of journaling: manifest scripting. Together, these journals became tools that cultivates a more positive, grateful, hopeful, and clearer mind. Now that I had an excuse to use three journals at once, I decided to really put my all into utilizing them and see what the hype was about gratitude and manifest journaling. While brain dumping gave me a place to clear my mind, gratitude journaling filled that same mental space back up with positivity, and manifest journaling, filled it up with hope. Both were things I had not experienced in…I can’t even really remember the last time I felt positive or hopeful. But I started making lists of things I envisioned for myself. Things I wanted to make happen, without realizing I was listing reasons to stay alive another day. I manifested academic success in my journal for my phlebotomy class in the face of my fear of failure. I manifested a job in my field of study that would pay more than I’ve ever made in the past. And I continue to manifest journal for all of the things I want to see come to fruition in my life and The more energy I put into writing it, the more hopeful I feel for them to happen. The more determined I feel to fight any dark suicidal thoughts I have to make sure I see my manifestations become realized. And then of course . Gratitude journaling . I make lists almost every night for anything big or small I am happy about. Either little moments thought the day, like a patient telling me my stick was painless or a word of encouragement from my Mother in law. Or things I didn’t have before that I have now, like a safe home environment. I often repeat items in later lists, like the beatific art in my room or my stereo. Journaling has been so helpful. In it, I find bliss.

Cord Cutting: Set Yourself Free from Negative Energy
Shaina Tranquilino
August 26, 2023
In the realm of spirituality, cord cutting refers to the practice of severing energetic connections with negative influences and individuals that drain our energy. Just as physical cords bind two objects together, energetic cords can tie us down emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This blog post explores the concept of cord cutting, its significance in spiritual growth, and provides practical techniques for achieving liberation from these detrimental attachments.
Understanding Energetic Cords:
Energetic cords are invisible but tangible threads that form between people or situations. They can manifest through various emotions like fear, resentment, guilt, and attachment. These unhealthy attachments can hinder personal growth by draining our energy reserves and keeping us stuck in repetitive cycles.
The Importance of Cord Cutting:
Cord cutting is an essential practice on the spiritual journey as it allows us to regain control over our own energy. By releasing toxic connections, we create space for positive energies to flow freely within us. Cutting cords not only liberates us from emotional baggage but also helps establish healthier boundaries and fosters self-empowerment.
Signs that Cord Cutting May Be Necessary:
1. Feeling drained after interacting with certain individuals.
2. Experiencing recurring negative thoughts or emotions related to a specific person or situation.
3. Difficulty moving forward due to unresolved conflicts or past traumas.
4. Sensing a constant psychic connection with someone who may be intentionally or unintentionally influencing your life negatively.
5. Feeling attached to old relationships or patterns that no longer serve your highest good.
Techniques for Cord Cutting:
1. Visualization Technique:
- Find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted.
- Close your eyes and take several deep breaths to center yourself.
- Visualize the energetic cords connecting you to the person or situation you wish to release.
- Imagine a pair of golden scissors appearing before you.
- With intention, visualize yourself cutting through each cord while affirming your desire to be free from negative energy.
- Imagine the cords dissolving into light as they are severed.
- Fill the void left by the cords with loving, healing energy.
2. Ritualistic Cord Cutting:
- Create a sacred space by lighting candles or incense.
- Write down the names of people or situations you wish to release on separate pieces of paper.
- Hold each piece of paper and declare your intention to sever all unhealthy connections associated with them.
- Ignite the papers using a candle flame and watch them burn, symbolizing the release of negative energies.
- As the ashes cool, imagine a sense of freedom and lightness filling your being.
3. Energetic Healing:
- Seek support from an energy healer or spiritual practitioner who specializes in cord cutting techniques.
- These professionals can help identify specific energetic ties that need to be released and guide you through a healing process tailored to your needs.
Cord cutting is not about severing all relationships but rather freeing ourselves from toxic attachments that hinder growth. By consciously engaging in cord-cutting practices, we reclaim our personal power, establish healthier boundaries, and create space for positive energies to flow into our lives. Remember, it is essential to nurture self-love and engage in regular energetic cleansing practices to maintain a healthy spiritual state. Embrace this transformative practice and set yourself free from negative energy today!

Embracing Imperfection: The Beauty of Unwavering Self-Acceptance
Welcome back to Empress Essence, where we embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. In our previous posts, we've explored the essence of feminine energy, sacred self-care, and authentic expression. Today, let us delve into the profound beauty of embracing imperfection—a cornerstone of unwavering self-acceptance and inner peace.
Embracing Your Flaws: Your flaws are not shortcomings but rather facets of your unique beauty and humanity. Embrace them with open arms, for they add depth, character, and authenticity to your being. Release the need for perfection and instead celebrate your imperfections as badges of honor—the marks of a life fully lived and embraced. Recognize that it is your flaws that make you a unique and rare beauty.
Cultivating Self-Compassion: Self-compassion is the gentle embrace of your own humanity—the practice of extending kindness, understanding, and forgiveness to yourself, especially in times of struggle or failure. Treat yourself with the same tenderness and compassion that you would offer to a beloved friend, recognizing that you are worthy of love and acceptance exactly as you are.
Letting Go of Comparison: Comparison is the thief of joy—an insidious trap that robs you of your sense of self-worth and contentment. Release the habit of comparing yourself to others, for you are on a unique journey with your own set of strengths, challenges, and aspirations. Celebrate the accomplishments of others without diminishing your own worth, and remember that your path is yours alone to walk.
Embracing the Journey: Life is a journey filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours. Embrace the inherent messiness and unpredictability of the journey, knowing that it is through navigating the highs and lows that you discover your true strength and resilience. Embrace the process of growth and evolution, allowing yourself the freedom to learn, stumble, and grow along the way.
Cultivating Gratitude: Gratitude is a powerful antidote to feelings of inadequacy or self-doubt. Cultivate a practice of gratitude by acknowledging and appreciating the blessings, lessons, and moments of beauty in your life—both big and small. Shift your focus from what is lacking to what is abundant and watch as gratitude transforms your perception of yourself and the world around you.
I invite you to embrace yourself with unconditional love and acceptance. Embrace your flaws, cultivate self-compassion, and let go of comparison as you journey towards unwavering self-acceptance. Remember, it is in embracing your imperfections that you uncover the true essence of your beauty and power as an Empress.
