This is Dima Nabahin, l'am 25 years old. I have no brothers nor sisters. I was living alone in gaza after I lost my father when he was injured in 2014 war on gaza. I was living with my mother till 2019, when she passed away, so from that time I am living alone in gaza.

I started to overcome what happened in the past, but my life completely destroyed since 7th of October

2023. I faced unimaginable challenges due to the ongoing war in the Gaza. unfortunately I lost My home that I was living in in northern Gaza, and also My parents home that I was living in with them in my childhood until they passed away. I was displaced from day one of this genocide. My life now is miserable.

Unfortunately, this plight is shared by many other Palestinian families living in the same area, but in my case l have no one that can help me, Throughout the months of relentless genocide, I suffered from constant fear and repeated, exhausting displacement that you cannot imagine without having experienced it.

I am a 26-year-old young man from Gaza. The war destroyed everything I held dear; I lost my home 🏚️, my job 💼, my car 🚗, and most painfully, I lost members of my extended family. Today, I live in a tent with my younger siblings, while my father, who is unable to work, and my sick mother suffer from serious health conditions 🏥.

I used to work as a car driver 🚐, and it was my only source of income. But today, after the war destroyed everything, I no longer have a way to earn a living. Now, I spend my time seeking help from social and humanitarian organizations, but unfortunately, I have not been able to find sufficient support to alleviate the harsh conditions we are going through. 🙏

Every day, I face bitter challenges; from securing food 🍞 and medicine 💊 for my siblings to dealing with their daily fears. My father, who was once our source of strength 💪, is no longer able to work, and my mother requires constant medical care due to her chronic illness 🩺. In this situation, I try to be the only hope for my family, but I am in desperate need of your help 🤝.

In the heart of Gaza, a once-thriving family now grapples with the harsh realities of war. Mohammed Alanqer, a dedicated engineer, had built a promising technology startup that was the cornerstone of his family’s livelihood. However, the war has left his business in ruins, and his family displaced, facing severe financial and health challenges.

The Impact of War on Livelihood and Education

The destruction of Mohammed's startup has stripped the family of their primary source of income. This loss is compounded by the closure of schools in Gaza, depriving their children, Layan, Sarah, and Adam, of their right to education. With the educational institutions in disarray, the children’s future remains uncertain, threatening to deepen the cycle of poverty and instability.

Health and Safety Concerns

The war has not only affected their financial stability but also put the family's health at risk. The destruction of hospitals has left Mohammed's wife, Enas Majed, in a precarious situation, particularly during her pregnancy with their youngest child, Amir. The family also struggles with medical conditions, including their son Adam’s battle with viral hepatitis and other illnesses like measles, which have become prevalent due to the lack of proper healthcare facilities.

The Urgent Need for Support

The family has been forced to flee their home multiple times, living in constant fear and without basic necessities such as clean clothes and adequate food. Their situation has become increasingly desperate, with the cost of escaping to a safer environment being prohibitively high. The financial burden of crossing borders, estimated at $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, is beyond their means.

A Call for Help

Mohammed and his family urgently need support to overcome these challenges. The total estimated costs for providing education, housing, and essential needs amount to between 27,817 and 42,485 euros annually. This includes:

- Education Costs: 11,817 - 18,485 euros per year

- Housing Costs: 12,000 - 18,000 euros per year

- Basic Needs: 4,000 - 6,000 euros per year

This financial assistance would enable the family to secure a stable and safe environment, ensure the children’s return to education, and provide the necessary healthcare to overcome their current difficulties.

My name is Thaer Qanoo, and I’m a 26-year-old husband and father. My wife, Marah Abed, is just 21 years old and was studying pharmacy at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. We have a beautiful one-year-old daughter named Nai, who has spent most of her life fleeing from bombs and destruction.

I am a computer engineer passionate about web development, and I’ve had the privilege of working with several companies outside of Gaza. But because of the war, I lost my job. The internet and electricity have become luxuries we can no longer rely on, and companies outside Gaza no longer trust that we can work under these circumstances.

My wife Marah was close to fulfilling her dream of becoming a pharmacist, but the war also took that away. With the little money we had left, we could barely afford food, let alone continue her education.

We were forced to flee from our home in Northern Gaza to the south, leaving behind everything we had ever known. Our home, my family’s home, everything was destroyed. We are now living in a tent, exposed to the scorching heat of summer and the relentless rain of winter. Nai, my daughter, is suffering the most. She’s only one year old and has already lived through more horrors than most of us can imagine. We can’t even provide her with basic necessities like milk, food, or diapers. Her health is deteriorating because of the lack of proper care and nutrition.

We are desperately trying to escape to safety, to a place where our daughter can grow up without the constant fear of death. Our only hope is to cross the Rafah border into Egypt, but the costs of coordination and securing our passage are incredibly high.

We are reaching out to you, to anyone who can hear our plea, to help us escape this nightmare. Your donation can make the difference between life and death for my family. Please, help us find safety and give my daughter the chance to live a life free from the horrors of war.

Diwali, the festival of love, light, and sharing!

Diwali is the most celebrated festival in India. The word Diwali, also known as Deepavali literally means ‘’a row of light.’ The reason to celebrate the festival differs for various regions across India. In northern India, Diwali marks a celebration of the Lord returning to his home from exile. It is a celebration of good triumphing over evil. Lord Rama and Sita’s homecoming is celebrated in the city of Ayodhya following their victory over the evil monarch Ravana.

People in the Bengal region worship the goddess Kali, who defeats bad forces. Additionally, people in Nepal (a nation bordering northeast India) rejoice over Lord Krishna’s triumph against the evil king Narakaasura. The south Indian region of the country celebrates Diwali for the same reasons as Nepal.

It is celebrated across five days, which stands for lifelong teachings and moral principles. They celebrate a different value or lesson that is learned through the trials and tribulations of Gods and other significant individuals from the religion’s mythology.

As the reasons to celebrate the festival are different, so are the ways to observe it. Any place in Rajasthan is perfect for Diwali celebrations, you won’t see Diwali celebrations as royal as in this state. In larger cities like Mumbai and New Delhi, you will see a lot of celebrations and fireworks displays. For Diwali, cities in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh like Agra, Orchha, and Khajuraho are fantastic.

You can visit Varanasi to witness the breathtaking aarti and the fascinating fireworks beside the Ganges River. Dev Deepawali, commonly known as the Diwali of the Lords, is a holiday also observed in Varanasi. 15 days after Diwali, this holiday is celebrated. All 84 ghats of the state are lit with earthen lamps to welcome the Lords, who, according to legend, descend to Earth to bathe in the Ganges’ sacred waters. This is a spectacle worth seeing because it includes both celebrations and numerous rituals.

As grand and wonderful as the celebrations of Diwali are, you might come across some people in the country who cannot celebrate the biggest festival of our country, they are the ones either deprived of basic rights because of poverty, homelessness or unemployment. These underprivileged people, who are our fellow citizens, deserve to live a happy and bright life, just like Diwali celebrations. The major crisis that the world is facing today is hunger. According to the United Nations, 690 people in the world today suffer due to extreme hunger and malnutrition.
