I think it's worth pointing out how transmisogyny results in the policing of tme people's bodies and particularly how this affects racialized women and girls, and it is abhorrent when this happens, but it's important to take notice of that fact that when tme people are the subjects of transvestigation, they always have an out, they always have a defense. many of these cases end up being reported on, and many of the victims are able to fight against the discrimination they faced, whether by legal or other means. meanwhile, when this happens to trans women and girls—most often those who are racialized—where is their recourse? where is their defense? there are no articles written about them, there are no lawsuits against the organizations that ousted them from women's spaces. when transmisogyny is aimed at its intended targets, no one cares
