gee i wonder if the issue could be at all related to the fact that the current treatment plan for his chronic pain consists solely of FUCKING IBUPROFEN
#i get that they're trying to make the point that house's pain flares with emotional distress#which is true! he does have psychological problems that need to be addressed!#but also. also. in addition.#there's this other little tiny minor factor worth mentioning which is#there is muscle. MISSING. from house's THIGH#ibuprofen and hobbies are not a suitable treatment plan for this condition#i'm not very knowledgeable about chronic pain but there have to be more options than this or vicodin#yes house has addiction issues#but what's happening here is not about that!!#he literally needs MEDICAL TREATMENT and he's being denied it!#house staying clean from the specific drug he was addicted to AND being on a proper pain management plan#are not mutually fucking exclusive#house md#house season 6#house 6x2#i need a tag for#house's chronic pain#house pain management#op

haikyu's dumpster batte is only going to be around 1 hour and 24 minutes, oh it's genuinely bokuakaover
#knowing that we're likely not going to get an ova too is painful <//3#m sorry to go off on a bit of a tangent#but I can't help but feel bitter that an actually good series with coherence and amazing characters just gets treated like this#and series like jjk and demon slayer get to have such good adaptations?#I don't hate both series btw as I watch them myself but even I have more criticisms in their story and charas compared to hq#jjk at this rate is being carried by satosugu shippers and popularity the story honestly is slowly losing substance :'DD#and it's disappointing such a series manages to get to have a consistent adaptation vs a good and inspiring story#which is why I can't help but feel <//3 whenever ppl rant about the jjk animation cause it's better than the hq treatment TvT#don't get me started on demon slayer I have mixed feelings about that series as well but I love it for what it's worth xD#and if people say the hq fandom is being bitter or biased isn't it justifiable?#a consistent and amazing narrative gets butchered me thinks people have a right to feel the way they do#naturally the fandom is not downplaying the efforts of the animators and voice actors but we also have a right to feel the way we do#we feel the way we do out of genuine love for a series that inspired and helped us so much#it's just so unfair TvT#m terribly sorry again for ranting and dropping negativity but I feel really disheartened about this news#and not simply cause ofc we won't get the bokuaka match#but also because my favorite series doesn't deserve this#eli rambles#bokuaka#haikyu#haikyuu#haikyu!!#hq

The one thing that gets me about the Lord of the Rings movies is how much they fail Faramir's character but manage to really show Boromir's specifically in the extended cuts.
Faramir gets so little time in the movies compared to how much he gets in the books. He is genuinely such a good character in the books and I adore him so much. He has one of the best lines in the series as well that really captures some of the larger themes of the peace.
"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend." - Faramir in The Two Towers
He is genuinely such a kind man, and in the books, you see that through his actions but also the actions and words of everyone around him. In the books, you get Beregond and Pippin's interactions and conversations where Beregond talks about how much he admires and loves Faramir as his captain and how much he trusts him. Beregond's love and dedication is part of the reason why Denethor's plan to burn him and Faramir alive gets delayed long enough for Pippin to go and get Gandalf and return with enough time to save Faramir at least.
The movie fails so hard because they have Faramir and his group take Frodo and Sam forcefully to Osgiliath and he has a moment with the ring. In the books, before even knowing for sure that Frodo had the ring, he said he would not take it. When it is revealed, he completely denies it and aids Frodo with food and shelter for a bit. The scene of him rejecting the ring especially with the knowledge that it got to his dearly beloved brother is so good and so core to Faramir's character which drives me nuts with how it went down in the movies.
In the books, you also get most of a chapter dedicated to Eowyn and Faramir and their healing journey. There, you also get to see how kind and loving Faramir is as a person with how he respects and interacts with Eowyn. Just god. He's such a good example of the series's gentle masculinity. He parallels Aragorn a lot in it especially since Aragorn is the one who is meant to be king while Faramir had the hearts of the people.
#faramir#lotr faramir#lord of the rings#lotr#lord of the rings movies#the two towers#the return of the king#lotr rambling#my rambling#faramir is genuinely such a good character i love him so much#he matches aragorns kindness and care while still having boromirs dedication#he just encapsulates a lot of the themes of the series and really shows them in the books#like he rejects the ring point blank#one of the few characters that manages to do that#the movies do boromir so much justice which makes it so painful that his brother doesnt get the same treatment#(my friend did point out to me that the movies honestly reflect how others treated faramir and the insanity that statement caused lmao)#also faramir and eowyn have one of the healthiest relationships ive ever read in a series#they love and respect each other so much its so admirable and im aroace lol

heating pads aren't enough. i need a foreman grill facedown on my abdomen
#tw period#tmi but I'm soooo pissed off because I've been trying to get a doctor to listen to me about the possibility of endo and they won't.#it's always 'well there's ways to manage pain that don't include checking for endo' and. yes. but they're not working.#and I'd like to be checked for things like endometriosis that might have other implications for me BEFORE it's doing untreated damage.#like sorry. maybe i don't want to just constantly toss birth control at it before i even know what we're tossing it at.#and it's fine if afterwards we agree that BC is the best treatment. that was part of the plan regardless but my point stands.#I'm not anti-BC. at all. to be clear lol but I want to know WHY I'm bedbound and lowkey hemorrhaging. if that's not too much to ask.#they're always like 'it requires a surgical procedure' okay? it's my body? incise me up scotty???#I also don't trust this current administration and I want to figure out my problem here and to know my options while I have them. jfc

edit: to be clear no i am not prescribed this i found some in the house it aint mine
#in terms of euphoria and anxiolysis this is equivalent to the barbiturate i got prescribed for migraines. which.#granted i drained the bottle in a few days but#STILL.#i feel like i deserve to choose between severe ending pain that makes me near housebound and stuck in this recliner all day#and potential addiction#like i feel like i should have that choice#especially since they're coming out with more treatments and safety measures for opioid addiction#ALSO especially because denying me adequate pain management is leading me to abuse other shit in ways that have nearly Killed Me#fuck the medical system so hard#fuck#julian rants#opioids tw#drugs tw

when i was forced to get an obgyn i was more than a little spooked when this lady walked in with a tiny gold cross hanging from her neck, but honestly the fact that she has gone above and beyond updating her research and the language she uses? "i know what it's like to be either ignored or have my health written off as me over-exaggerating symptoms, i will NOT let that happen to you" and then proceeding to make sure that my medical notes are absolutely bullet-proof for any fucker who wants to be a slimeball about it? based, actually. this lady does not fuck around.
#texts.#'i've never had a transgender patient before so i spent the past couple of days reading up on the latest treatments for folks with endo'#like hello????#she was so upset that there's barely anything on transmascs and i'm right there with her.#'why's nobody talking about this?' well m'am. there's a very clear answer to this but yknow.#apparently testosterone does suppress the the formation of further endo which is great. but then there's folks like me#who've had it run rampant for 20+ years and the damage is so severe that not even T can save our asses.#she was really quick to prescribe meds and other pain management stuff which is great--but ultimately#the only way to curb it completely is to scoop everything out. and i'm not just talking about the uterus.#medical cw

Pinched Nerve in The Spine: Radiculopathy - Symptoms, Causes, and Treatment
The spine consists of several individual bones known as vertebrae. These are interconnected together to form the spine. The spinal cord passes through a central canal in these vertebrae. From the spinal cord, the splitting of nerve roots occurs.
These roots travel between the bones of the spinal and different parts of the body. When the nerve root that leaves the spinal cord to other body parts becomes pinched, irritated, or damaged, it results in a medical condition known as radiculopathy. This condition is also known as a pinched nerve.
Types of Radiculopathy
Depending on where the condition happens in the spine, there are three types of radiculopathy. The symptoms of these types may range from mild to severe in individuals.
Cervical radiculopathy
Occurs due to pressure and compression of the nerve roots in the neck.
This portion of the spinal cord mainly affects the hands, arms, fingers, and shoulders.
Symptoms are usually visible in the hands and arms, which may include weakness or loss of sensation.
Lumbar radiculopathy
Occurs due to pressure and compression of the nerve roots in the lower back.
It may lead to sciatica, a condition that involves radiating pain in the sciatic nerve.
Thoracic radiculopathy
Occurs due to pressure and compression of the nerve roots in the upper back.
Chest pain is common in this condition.
There is a feeling of numbness and pain that moves to the front of the body in patients.
Causes of Radiculopathy and Risk Factors
Here are some of the commonly known causes of radiculopathy and the risk factors associated with it.
Change in size or shift in position of the tissues that surround the nerve root.
Herniated discs, also known as slip discs, are caused by to rupture of soft pads between spinal bones.
Bone spurs, bony outgrowths or projections resulting in constriction of the spinal passage. a condition in which the spaces within the spine get narrow.
Spondylosis is a wear and tear of the spinal disc with age.
Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which a vertebra slips out of its normal position onto the bone below it.
Spinal stenosis, narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back.
Sciatica is pain travelling along with the sciatic nerve moving to the back of the thigh into the legs.
Thickening of spinal ligaments.
Spinal infections
Regular improper movements
Cancerous or non-cancerous growth in the spine
Radiculopathy Diagnosis
The diagnosis of radiculopathy begins with the patient giving a brief of their medical history to the doctor.
The doctor will ask questions about the type of symptoms, location of the pain, for how long has the pain been there, and also any other medical conditions which the patient is suffering from.
Once the medical history is known, the physician conducts a physical examination and tests.
This is to check the patient's muscular strength, reflexes, sensation, and also the possibility of any abnormalities.
Physical examination allows the medical practitioner to know the severity of the radiculopathy condition.
It also gives an idea about the location of the nerve root that is affected.
In some cases, radiculopathy diagnosis may require the use of advanced imaging techniques such as CT scan or MRI.
These tests aid in improving the visualization of the area where the problem lies.
In some cases, an expert like Dr Khanna orthopedic surgeon may also conduct a study on nerve conduction or Electromyography (EMG).
These tests help to know whether there is damage to the nerve or the problem is muscular.
Symptoms of Radiculopathy
The pinched nerve roots quickly become inflamed, which may result in the following symptoms:
Shooting pain in the back, legs, arms, and shoulders
Feeling of numbness and tingling sensation in the arms and legs.
Localized neck and back pain
Sharp pain when sitting idle or coughing
Sharp pain with movement
Hypersensitivity
Loss of sensation
Radiating pain in the shoulders
Skin numbness
Muscular weakness
Loss of reflexes
Sciatica
Non-surgical treatment for Radiculopathy
Conservative treatment is usually recommended before surgery. Here are some of the non-surgical treatment options for radiculopathy.
Physical therapy to strengthen the areas of pain.
Limitation or complete elimination of activities that cause radiculopathy pain and stains of the back and neck.
Immobilizing the affected area with

If we talk about the best pain medication after surgery, which would it be? And how can we find a pain management clinic near us? Should I take online pain solution for pain.
For post-surgery pain, the best medication often depends on the type and intensity of pain. Common options include:
Opioids (e.g., oxycodone, hydrocodone): Effective for severe pain but come with risks like addiction and side effects.
NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen): Good for mild to moderate pain and inflammation, with fewer addiction risks.
Acetaminophen: Often used for mild to moderate pain, either alone or in combination with other medications.
To find a pain management clinic, search online for “pain management clinic near me” or ask your surgeon for recommendations. Online pain management services can be helpful for consultations and ongoing advice but ensure they are from reputable sources and offer tailored care.
