I've seen a number of people worried and concerned about this language on Ao3s current "agree to these terms of service" page. The short version is:
Don't worry. This isn't anything bad. Checking that box just means you forgive them for being US American.
Long version: This text makes perfect sense if you're familiar with the issues around GDPR and in particular the uncertainty about Privacy Shield and SCCs after Schrems II. But I suspect most people aren't, so let's get into it, with the caveat that this is a Eurocentric (and in particular EU centric) view of this.
The basic outline is that Europeans in the EU have a right to privacy under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), an EU directive (let's simplify things and call it an EU law) that regulates how various entities, including companies and the government, may acquire, store and process data about you.
The list of what counts as data about you is enormous. It includes things like your name and birthday, but also your email address, your computers IP address, user names, whatever. If an advertiser could want it, it's on the list.
The general rule is that they can't, unless you give explicit permission, or it's for one of a number of enumerated reasons (not all of which are as clear as would be desirable, but that's another topic). You have a right to request a copy of the data, you have a right to force them to delete their data and so on. It's not quite on the level of constitutional rights, but it is a pretty big deal.
In contrast, the US, home of most of the world's internet companies, has no such right at a federal level. If someone has your data, it is fundamentally theirs. American police, FBI, CIA and so on also have far more rights to request your data than the ones in Europe.
So how can an American website provide services to persons in the EU? Well… Honestly, there's an argument to be made that they can't.
US websites can promise in their terms and conditions that they will keep your data as safe as a European site would. In fact, they have to, unless they start specifically excluding Europeans. The EU even provides Standard Contract Clauses (SCCs) that they can use for this.
However, e.g. Facebook's T&Cs can't bind the US government. Facebook can't promise that it'll keep your data as secure as it is in the EU even if they wanted to (which they absolutely don't), because the US government can get to it easily, and EU citizens can't even sue the US government over it.
Despite the importance that US companies have in Europe, this is not a theoretical concern at all. There have been two successive international agreements between the US and the EU about this, and both were struck down by the EU court as being in violation of EU law, in the Schrems I and Schrems II decisions (named after Max Schrems, an Austrian privacy activist who sued in both cases).
A third international agreement is currently being prepared, and in the meantime the previous agreement (known as "Privacy Shield") remains tentatively in place. The problem is that the US government does not want to offer EU citizens equivalent protection as they have under EU law; they don't even want to offer US citizens these protections. They just love spying on foreigners too much. The previous agreements tried to hide that under flowery language, but couldn't actually solve it. It's unclear and in my opinion unlikely that they'll manage to get a version that survives judicial review this time. Max Schrems is waiting.
So what is a site like Ao3 to do? They're arguably not part of the problem, Max Schrems keeps suing Meta, not the OTW, but they are subject to the rules because they process stuff like your email address.
Their solution is this checkbox. You agree that they can process your data even though they're in the US, and they can't guarantee you that the US government won't spy on you in ways that would be illegal for the government of e.g. Belgium. Is that legal under EU law? …probably as legal as fan fiction in general, I suppose, which is to say let's hope nobody sues to try and find out.
But what's important is that nothing changed, just the language. Ao3 has always stored your user name and email address on servers in the US, subject to whatever the FBI, CIA, NSA and FRA may want to do it. They're just making it more clear now.

ANDROID! ALEXA-THEMED! WORSHIPPER YANDERE! LEVI x SHUT IN! READER
cws : yandere themes, manipulation (??), obsessive behavior, code breaking, implied dissociation, confining, dubcon, multiple creampie, slight dacryphilia, dry humping, levi can vibrate, marking, levi cums A LOT, levi bites you, levi’s a little mean in the beginning bc he’s pissed.
a/n : i pasted this to the wrong thing and after i’d finished editing it to look good, id realized. i did NOT wanna re-paste and edit so this was a request that id gotten for PulseMotion Inc.
“[name], come out. i won’t hurt you.” your hand shakily reaches up to cover your mouth, effectively silencing your breathing as thudding footsteps turn down the hallway you’d foolishly decided to hide in. the lock on the closet door wouldn’t do much — levi could rip the door off its hinges if he so desired. you screw your eyes shut in fear as his footsteps slow, coming to a stop outside the closet door. you wait with bated breath as silence ensues, then muffle a sob beneath the palm you have clasped over your mouth as you watch the doorknob jiggle. oh, you were so fucked.
you wonder for a moment where everything went wrong. was it when levi had that software update? was there a wire firing incorrectly? or was he faulty from the beginning? maybe that’s why he was on clearance.
you find yourself remembering where this all began. you’d been perusing through the pages of PulseMotion’s website just to see what they had, only to find that you could buy a month’s worth of food at the base price they sold their android companions for. unsatisfied, you turned to their clearance section. it was there you found levi.
levi was inspired by the alexa echo dot from amazon, but he was far more advanced. he had a physical body, superhuman strength, and cold, dead eyes that followed your every move. the creators had given him the ability to access locks, security systems, cameras, and so on to ensure the safety of whoever purchased him — but it only served to royally fuck you over even more.
you’d impulsively purchased levi that evening. at the time, you didn't know that buying the android would ruin your life. you had just gotten paid and saw that he was on clearance, and thought that it was a good deal. you didn't think anything would go wrong.
everything was fine in the beginning. the two of you slowly became acquainted, the android did what he was supposed to, and that was that. levi, as he'd told you, was on clearance for a reason-- there was something seriously wrong with him.
levi was was initially very sweet, even if he could be intimidating at times. he always reminded you to eat and would charge your devices without you needing to say a word. he even locked your doors for you for christ's sake! you thought you'd lucked out.
you suppose things started going wrong when he powered off for his quarterly system update a few months ago. he was fine before that. after he'd restarted his system, his eyes briefly flashed red, the company insignia disappearing for but a moment. it happened so quickly that, for a second, you thought you had imagined it. you made sure to ask him if everything was okay, but he only brushed it off and returned to his daily cleaning. after that, he never left your side.
every time you tried to get out of your shell and make friends, levi coincidentally informed you of a new game or a new movie, or even suggested that the two of you do an activity together. sometimes, he would inform you of something that needed to be fixed, but when you tried to take him to the repair shop, he insisted that it was easy enough to do yourself. you believed him of course, he surely had only your best interests in mind, or so you thought. in hindsight, you realize that his actions were entirely selfish in nature. maybe he’d even fooled you into helping him with some coding he had trouble bypassing. at this point, you wouldn’t put it past him.
it had been like this for the last few months. you probably should have seen the red flags, but why would you? it wasn’t as if he wanted to harm you. his programming did seem a little odd of course, but every time you checked, there was nothing to suggest otherwise. it was only natural you had to acclimate to his odd behavior.
as time went on, and levi had become more crafty with his excuses, you’d gotten fed up. for the first time in awhile, you’d finally been comfortable enough to go out on a date, but as per usual, levi intercepted you in the living room. he spouted some nonsense about wanting to watch a new series he thought you would like, but before he’d even finished his sentence, you shut him down.
you remember the way the insignia flickered in his eyes, but at that point you were too frustrated with him to bother with what that minute entail. you only spun on your heels and stormed off, tugging on the front door and finding that it was locked. anxiety and unease washed over you, and with a creeping feeling of being watched as you slowly looked up at the camera. you remember levi’s voice ringing out from behind you, slowly stalking up to you with a frown that tugged too tightly around his artificial skin.
everything that happened after that was a blur. you don’t really remember how you ended up in the closet, but it took everything in you to stay quiet. your mind was reeling as the behavior displayed over the last few months suddenly made sense — you were horrified. how did you not put two and two together?
you’re snapped back into reality as levi sighs outside of the closet door. his voice sounded too sweet, too calm for the situation at hand. “[name], don’t make me break down this door.”
you silently pray to every being you can think of, begging them to let him move to a different room so you can plan your escape. alas, your prayers were unanswered as the door is ripped off the hinges in the blink of an eye. you would’ve found the sight comical — a short man such as himself holding up a door nearly twice his size — if it weren’t for the reality of your situation.
“great, now i’ll have to clean this up and fix it. you’re really a pain in my ass sometimes.” levi grumbles as he gazes down at you through narrowed eyes, drinking in the sight of the way you were shaking like a leaf. “get up.”
you can’t bring yourself to move, much less tell him to go fuck himself. you’re torn between anger and unadulterated fear — the latter putting you in fight or flight. unfortunately for you, your response was a secret third option: freeze. levi only huffs, leaning down and reaching for your wrist, grumbling something under his breath.
you’re finally able to move, shuffling away from him as much as the cramped space in the closet would allow, blindly pushing at his hands as tears blur your vision. levi only
clicks his tongue, his fingers deftly wrapping around your wrist as he hoists you up. he tugs you out of the closet and down the hallway, bitching to you about something you couldn’t be bothered to focus on. you tried to pry his fingers from around your wrist, scratching and beating and doing anything within your power to keep him from dragging you wherever it was he wanted you. it was futile.
as levi drags you to your room, gently pushing you onto your bed, you realize that there was nothing you could do; you couldn’t win against him. your mind works on overdrive, twisting and turning in an attempt to gauge his intent, and with the way his eyes had become hooded… you could confidently say that you wouldn’t like where this was headed.
“h—hey. no. i’ll stay— i’ll stay home, just please don’t—“ you’re interrupted by levi’s chilled fingers wrapping around your wrists as he leans down and slots his lips to yours. scrunching your nose in distaste as he feverishly engages in a one-sided makeout, you attempt to wriggle your way out of his grip. it’s safe to say that you failed, but at least you tried.
levi’s free hand travels down your chest, over your tummy, and finds purchase on the meat of your hip. he gently, experimentally rolls his hips into yours, searching for the place that would have you melting into his touch. with ease, the android’s cockhead brushes over your clit, shooting a wave of pleasure down your spine.
“levi…stop—“ a whine parts your lips as levi’s shaft begins vibrating, the sensation muddling your thoughts as you begin to wonder whether you wanted this or not. as you battle yourself internally, levi ruts against you faster, the both of you coming closer and closer to your climax.
the android’s lip brush against your throat, heatedly nipping and sucking in places for long enough that you were sure there would be marks tomorrow.
“‘m gonna cum— baby, cum with me. please, please, please cum with me!” levi begs, the speed at which his shaft was vibrating increasing. your back arches into the sensation as levi lets out a loud whine, your jaw agape as your orgasm crashes over you. you stumble over curses, your eyes rolling into the back of your head as levi’s cock never once stops vibrating.
“gonna overstimulate me— s’too much!” you protest, feeling levi’s cum wet your pants. just how much does this guy cum anyway?
levi stops rutting against you, all but ripping away the confines of your clothing as well as his own before aligning himself with your entrance. “need it. need it so bad— i’ve been waiting for so long…”
he slowly slides into you, your gummy walls eagerly sucking him in despite your own confusion, forcing a choked whimper from levi’s lips. he shallowly thrusts into you, the sensation of overwhelmingly delicious; you’d never felt so full, so good. levi’s shaft pulsed this time, vibrating for a few moments on and off, his tip reaching places you’d never be able to reach with your own two hands.
you melt into the feeling, your own pleasure drowning out every thought of protest as levi begins to pick up the pace. he removes his fingers from your wrists, the flesh red and angry, and presses down on your tummy where his cock would be. the vibration switches again, his hips snapping into yours now, and he lets out a loud groan as his orgasm washes over him. levi never once stops as he pumps you full of his cum, his fingers digging into your hips as he whimpers out mumbled gibberish.
with ease, levi switches your position, putting you on your knees and pushes back inside of you. he forces you to meet his thrusts, and the new angle has your fingers gripping the sheets, your jaw hanging open in silent pleasure. you can’t think about anything — only how good levi was able to make you feel.
“levi— ‘m cumming!” you cry out, your thighs shaking and cunt clenching around him. tears prick your eyes and spill down your cheeks, the feeling too much for you to handle.
“y’look so pretty when you cry.” levi chokes out, his eyes closing in bliss as his cock twitches inside of you. your cunt pulses around levi, sending shivers down his spine as his motherboard goes into overdrive in an attempt to cool him down. rutting into you at an inhuman pace, levi’s thrusting grows sloppy, reaching one hand around to press a finger to your clit, the artificial skin vibrating as well.
“cum f’me… j—just one more time! please— please, need it so bad..!” levi whines, expertly circling your clit in an attempt to have you cum with him. “y—you’ll tell me when y’close, okay? wanna cum with you.”
all you can do is nod, your mind melting at every sensation. levi presses your back against his sculpted chest, linking his arm under one of your thighs and hoists it up, thrusting more harshly as his tongue darts out to lap at the tears staining your cheeks.
“y’feel so fuckin’ good.” he whimpers, pressing chaste kisses to the flushed skin of your shoulders. “‘m gonna cum. baby, ‘m gonna cum—“
before you’re able to register it, your vision flashes white, a high-pitched whine parting your lips as ecstasy crashes over you.
“cumming! ‘m cumming!!” levi babbles, whimpers and whines of his own being muffled by your skin as he bites down on the curve of your shoulder in an attempt to silence himself. cum trickles down your thighs and stains the sheets as his thrusting comes to a stop, a quiet sniffle resounding from behind you.
the android gently lays you down, your eyes growing heavy as the bliss slowly leaves your system, and you can’t find it in you to care about the date you wanted to go on anymore. your lashes flutter shut as levi leaves the room and quietly returns with a damp cloth, tenderly cleaning you up as you drift off to sleep.

very brief torrent security primer
some brief comments on piracy safety for @goblin-thembo who has been asking a lot of questions in the notes of that post...
OK, so when you download a torrent, you are downloading some files. The BitTorrent protocol makes it almost impossible to substitute a different file than the one you request, but you have no way to be absolutely certain that the original file is 'safe' - that depends on the properties of the file, and what you do with it. Some types of file are safer than others.
Here's some jargon you may find useful.
torrent: a file that describes how to download some files through the BitTorrent protocol. we won't go into the technicalities, but when you load a torrent into your torrent client, you will connect to other people who have parts of the files, download the pieces, and reassemble the files you want.
seeding: providing a copy of the files in a torrent to other people.
ISP: Internet Service Provider, the company that connects you to the internet.
IP address: your computer's identity on a network, notably the public internet. When you connect to a website, they know your IP address. Your IP address is assigned by your ISP.
From an IP address, you can determine someone's broad geographical location (which country they're connected in) and which ISP they are using. You can contact the ISP, who will be able to associate it with a specific user.
swarm: the collection of users downloading or seeding a particular torrent.
VPN: Virtual Private Network, a relay service which hides your IP address from the public internet. People who connect to you will see the VPN's IP instead of your real IP. Your ISP will be able to know that you connected to a VPN, but not what you send through it. So they wouldn't be able to tell if you are using BitTorrent. VPNs usually cost a fairly small amount of money as a subscription service.
Threat model
In security we talk about a 'threat model', which is what you think you need to protect yourself from. There are two major threats when downloading files using BitTorrent.
copyright claims: your computer's IP is broadcast when you use BitTorrent. Copyright holders will often put 'sniffers' on the network which will monitor the IPs in the swarm of popular torrents. They will then send a takedown letter to your internet service provider (ISP), who will usually send you an email to stop sharing copyrighted media on their network, and then cut off your internet on multiple offences. This can easily be circumvented using a VPN. I strongly recommend using a VPN if you download any copyrighted content through BitTorrent.
attacks through the file you download: someone might upload a virus as a torrent, presenting it as a file you might be looking for (e.g. cracked software). So let's go over different types of file you might download and how they could be used to attack you.
Executable files, such as pirated software, are not safe. If you download a program and run it, you are potentially giving the author full control over your computer. So you should make damn sure the uploader is trustworthy. If you're downloading open source software from the maintainer's github release page, you're probably good. If you're downloading cracked art programs or games... good luck lol.
On a public torrent tracker, to which anyone can upload, there is no guarantee that any file is what anyone says. You have to make your own determination of which uploaders are trustworthy. I can't give you great advice on this, since I generally do not download cracked executables. For games, FitGirl Repacks is generally a pretty good source.
If you are on Windows, the default Windows Defender software should be used to scan any file you download. (Paid antivirus software is of somewhat dubious utility, often pushing ads and using CPU resources in its own right.) Fewer attackers will target desktop Linux or OSX, which doesn't mean you're guaranteed safe, but Windows is the biggest target as the most widely used operating system.
Videos, music and images are generally safe. I say 'generally' because it's possible, in theory, to create a video that exploits a vulnerability in your video player (e.g. mpv or VLC) and uses it to execute code. So far as I know this is largely theoretical, and known vulns have been patched, but make sure to keep your player up to date to mitigate against known vulnerabilities.
Any compressed archives (zip, rar, 7zip) can be used to create something called a 'zip bomb', which is a file which goes into an infinite loop when you try to decompress it, swallowing up more and more memory and hard drive space. I've never seen this actually be done, but it's possible. More subtle attacks would attempt to attack the program you use to decompress the file. Keep your software up to date to mitigate against known vulnerabilities.
Besides taking care about what you download, on Windows you should either not run your main account as an admin account, or make sure to set User Account Control to require a credentials check for admin operations, and also keep your operating system and software up to date. Make sure file extensions are visible so you don't get fooled by a file disguised as a different file type. And y'know, if the torrent tracker has comments, check to see if a lot of people are saying it's a virus.
What could happen if your computer gets infected? Well, they might use your computer to mine crypto at the cost of your CPU performance, they might encrypt and ransom your files, and they might steal your credentials for online services (including banking and the like). There are various measures you can take against this, such as making sure to encrypt sensitive data such as passwords, but the best defense is to not infect your computer in the first place.
The most likely time for people to upload viruses is when something is in high demand and there isn't a single authoritative high-quality source out yet.
Ultimately you get to decide what you consider an acceptable level of risk. There is no such thing as perfect safety. I would recommend using your own initiative to learn about computer security and not badger random tumblr users to explain it to you, but hopefully the above guidelines should help you avoid doing anything too dangerous.

Is Harry Suing the UK to Hide Truth of Visa and Security?
Let’s talk about a few things going on in the Royal News World, Shall We?
This mouse isn’t completely sure of coming back entirely, but I figured a post here and there would be fine. Let’s get started.
My people come bearing some insights: Just about everyone in the aristocracy is openly aware that Harry isn’t truly cut off. As a matter of fact, some believe that Harry is only in the US because Charles sent him here and he is in fact on an A1 visa. Not so much as a banishment, but as a way to play both sides of the media circus and keep them all relevant. The whole world tunes in every time something pops up.
What brings more clickbait? Ask yourself the hard questions, though, don’t take the easy route. I’ve seen some things going around, and I see people truly never ask the hard questions.
I pray for the day when everyone wakes up and realizes that being elderly doesn’t make you harmless or innocent. This author was told the same things about Harry not being told about the diagnosis for the cancer until we all heard, BUT BEFORE. Interesting that ever got leaked out in the press, isn’t it? Why even tell us when he got told? Harry probably leaked it and did it to make Charles look favorable. Do you think Charles would let it get leaked? To what end? To look like the loving, yet firm father everyone demands him to be, the man that he cannot. The man he is not.
And now there are articles coming out about the contingency plans for Charles being sick. Harry is not in them, at all. Why would he need to be? Doesn’t that say a lot? The fact people have to be told Harry isn't included is silly. But you know what they say about assumptions.
Now, I was told by a friend that’s a doctor the whole story of the cancer being found during the prostate stuff made no sense. They would’ve seen other indicators beforehand. They ARE the greatest medical professionals on the planet, aren’t they? You mean a PET scan or blood test or anything like that, at all, wouldn’t hint at the other problems? This was a choreographed release of information.
It's being suggested that the press will be informed to release a cascade of tidbits over the coming weeks. Lady C said early spring, before summer. She also said it was Princess Anne who made the “racist baby” comments, and that was also a ruse. I’m pretty sure Lady C picked Team Charles back in the 80s, and she’s been working to gain grace and favor since. I think she wants to seem like she knows things to sell books or views. Go, girl, get that paper.
Speaking of paper, it was suggested one of the main reasons Charles was so upset with Harry when he “rushed right over” was because he asked for more money. Anyone could assume that but think about what he did immediately afterwards. He went over there only to have something to give an interview for. He got paid to “not squeal” on an interview. The Sussexes don’t lift a finger for free… they only lift them for freebies. Or money.
If Harry is here on an A1 Visa as a favor between Charles and the US, that means we are paying for that security in America. No wonder Harry is suing the UK, he needs to make it look like he needs something when he already has it. How would they possibly have the money to pay for their own? I posted the mortgage documents, remember. Do the math. They have 10 years to pay that house off in full before they get a 7.48% interest rate. They have upkeep, services, servants, nannies, clothes, utilities, maintenance that must be maintained or the bank could come in and do it themselves… Those things aren’t cheap. You have to have a faucet of money coming in to handle it all. They don’t even have a drip.
Oh, and I was told to really look at Harry’s page on the Royal website. And that the minute Wills gets that crown, his brother will be done for. Which is why Charles could be trying to be a father instead of a king in that situation. Then again, if Wills had hard feelings for both Charles and Harry, and Charles had a jealousy over Wills and the Queen… that’s a lot of ifs
One this is for sure. Harry will NEVER return to the BRF in a working capacity. Everything is a dance of smoke and mirrors.
It makes total sense to have Harry here on an A1 visa, have him in constant litigation with the UK so we peons think he needs security, but in reality he is here on a visa supplying him the protection he thinks he deserves. Of course, an FOIA would need to be filed, probably… I wonder if I could do that and see how he is really here. I don’t believe he is here on an O1 or spousal visa.
What is the real reason for all of this, people? It's just Flying Pasta, like before.

Thoughts on The Bad Batch Episode 14 - Flash Strike - A Discussion Post
This episode had my heart racing and I still cannot grasp the fact that this is the second-to-last episode. Let's return to the pre-finale filled with surprising and heart-racing moments!
(SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODE YET! all screencaps from www.cap-that.com! https://www.cap-that.com/starwars/the-bad-batch/314/?page=1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The boys and Rampart keep their shuttle attached to the Imperial ship that is on its way to Mount Tantiss, and the ship that Echo is currently inside of. Hunter plans to detach the ship and head into Tantiss, and they know that Echo will find a way off the ship safely.
It's so funny how Rampart has just been dragged into this mess and is on his way to Tantiss as well, as he likely never expected to get into this much chaos after the Batch got him out of that Imperial prison. He's probably preferring the prison now instead of going to Tantiss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hemlock enters the control room, inquiring about the status of the ship coming here. Scorch gives him word that the Batch had infiltrated the station on Coruscant with Rampart, and that certainly changes things. Hemlock orders fighters to launch into the airspace, preparing for the attack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ship exits out of hyperspace to enter Wayland (Weyland? It's spelled differently in Canon and Legends on Wookiepedia, and on the Star Wars website they spell it as Wayland), the planet where Mount Tantiss is located. Hunter and Crosshair pilot the ship in the front, detaching from the vessel and fighting the fighters that were sent out to attack them. The laser cannons attached to Tantiss start to attack them as well as Hunter pilots and tries to avoid the cannon shots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The rumbling caused by the laser cannons are felt on Tantiss, and it was so cute how their little flat block structures broke because of the rumbling and Baryn (being the little playful baby he is) knocks over his structure and laughs. Omega feels the vibrations on the table and can tell that it is laser cannons. Emerie gets word that there is a security alert and she tells Scalder to watch the kids, which Scalder basically rolls her eyes at and says that they will be fine.
Omega knew that her brothers have come for her, and that just melted my heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ship gets shot, and the boys and Rampart have to quickly get out before they crash land. Wrecker gets the cables out, and Crosshair and Wrecker go first, hanging off the ship, and they literally had me hanging on my seat in fear if any of them fell. Hunter jumped with Rampart (by jumped, I mean jumped and dragged him down to get him out because he wouldn't jump). Rampart's screams were everything this episode; shout out to Noshir Dalal for voicing him so greatly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hemlock sends out troops to find them, while the boys hide out in the jungle. It was hilarious how Hunter said "Unfortunately, yes" when Rampart survived, and Rampart heard him. For a second I really thought he didn't survive until Hunter said yes. The boys continue to head towards Tantiss, trying their best to be unseen.
I cried when Crosshair's hand started shaking again, he's so nervous to be back here.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Echo disguises himself in stormtrooper armor and steals a droid's hand, and I was so happy that he finally got a robotic hand. All the theories about Echo wearing white armor just like Fives was before he died in his arc in The Clone Wars is freaking me out, I really hope it doesn't come to that in the finale.
Tumblr media
Eva wonders why their vitals haven't been taken yet today as usual, and Omega decides to go into the walls of Tantiss and figure out what is going on (she is literally living in the walls of Tantiss and Hemlock's walls, it's so funny). She tells the kids to cover her, who all have no idea what that means.
Tumblr media
While venturing through the jungle, Rampart talks with Crosshair, comparing how he saw him in the Empire versus now with his brothers. Crosshair says that Rampart is like him after the Empire had betrayed them both and that he has changed, and Rampart suspects if he really has. He's really scaring me with how that line was delivered, but I'm just hoping that it means nothing and everything's fine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Omega carefully goes through the walls of Tantiss, trying to find out what is going on and any routes of escape. The boys and Rampart continue to navigate themselves through the jungle, while Rampart grows tired and lays near what he thinks is probably a rock. He rests near a large beast, as it awakens and Rampart starts freaking out, running away. The boys try to fight it without blasters, but eventually the blasters are used and their position is given away.
Rampart gets caught by the Imperials while running away, as he will likely be taken to Hemlock for questioning. I'm so worried that he will betray the Batch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kids try to come up with ways to keep Omega from being caught, as Baryn drifts off to sleep. Dr. Scalder comes down to take the kids' vitals with the usual droid, while Omega is missing. Sami tries to stall Dr. Scalder by telling her that she is still hungry, and Scalder replies, "It will pass." She was really willing to let the kids starve and didn't care; her and Hemlock are at the top of the list as the worst doctors on Tantiss. Jax asks if he can go next, but Scalder becomes frustrated with the kids, going in order and doing her job.
Luckily Omega managed to get back in time, acting like nothing happened.
Tumblr media
While in the walls, Omega passes a room that holds a contained Zillo beast, likely the same one that the Batch had seen before. I'm so happy the theories about the ZIllo Beast being in Mount Tantiss's basement came true, and if the prayers about it eating Hemlock come true that would just be funny. I'm so ready for Omega to let it free and allow it to cause chaos on that mountain with the Batch watching.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Echo gets in the room where the blood samples are tested, and views all the files of every clone on Tantiss, even Omega's. Emerie comes in and sees him in his trooper disguise, and Echo tries to lie his way out (and of course, we know that clones are unable to lie). Emerie manages to recognize Echo from what Omega has told her about him, and Echo gets to meet the Emerie his sister has always talked about. Echo gets upset with Emerie since she is playing a part in all of this, and Emerie says that she was just doing her job. I feel so bad for her and all the lies she's grown up with while likely growing up under Hemlock, but she's starting to wake up. Emerie tells Echo about the other children on Tantiss, and they plan to get them out. I'm so excited to see their dynamic next week.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Omega regroups with the kids, and the kids are happy to see that she is fine. The kids ask her if she found something, and Omega says that she found something big and is ready to get them out with a plan. She looks so ready, I'm so ready for my little girl to cause havoc on that mountain and make every doctor on Tantiss go insane.
I can't believe we're reaching the finale now, and I'll only have one more discussion to write. I'm so excited and greatly nervous for the finale, and I am so sad that this show is coming to an end soon. I'm hoping we can see CX-2 again, where did he go and please reveal your face! Still praying the finale is over an hour...

I made an @ellipsus-writes account yesterday and with one day under my belt here are my first impressions.
It's basically Google Docs, but without being associated with Google. You're able to edit documents from any device with a web browser, which is a lot more convenient than the WebDav server I'm currently using.
Things that are less than ideal:
There aren't a lot of customization options. You can switch between light and dark mode, but I would like to be able to set my document backgrounds to a color. Also it would be better if you could change your view layout. Right now it looks like this:
Tumblr media
and I would prefer to have these documents in a list, rather than these big bubbles. The bubbles might be cool if you could change their color or add an image background to them, but as is they're just boring white and taking up a lot of space. I have only 12 documents in this folder and it's a bit silly that I can't see them all at once.
2. You might also notice that these documents appear to be in a completely random order. They're actually in the order I last edited them in. I prefer my documents to be in alphabetical order, and this is an option that exists, but a) when switching to this view it for some reason defaults to reverse alphabetical order and I then have to manually select regular alphabetical order, and b) this setting will not be remembered between sessions.
3. I can't seem to get rid of the, "Need help? Chat with us" popup at the bottom of the page. It takes up an annoying amount of space, and I wish it was collapsible.
Things that worry me:
Instead of having a password system, Ellipsus sends you an email link every time you go to log in. There's nothing wrong with doing it this way I guess, since you can access the link from the same device you're accessing the website from, but it kind of just smacks of being different for the sake of being different. Makes me worry about security. Not that I write anything worth stealing.
Instead of having a normal profile system, Ellipsus uses Gravatar, which is some "universal internet account" nonsense that I will absolutely not be using. This probably won't be a huge issue, though, as I don't really plan on using the collaboration tools, so I won't need to make a profile. I wish I could change my email address, though, as I accidentally used the wrong one to make the account. I might make a new account.
I don't understand how all this is being paid for. There are no ads, the account is free, but the hosting is all done by Ellipsus. While text does not take up a ton of space to host, it does take up some space, and that costs money. Are the creators doing it out of their own pockets? Do they have a donor? Will there be donation drives to support it later? Or will they adopt advertisements in the future or introduce a "premium" option where you can pay for additional features? The last one normally wouldn't worry me, but since it is currently so bare-bones I'm a bit antsy. What if you have to pay for the option to have your documents in alphabetical order by default?
Their advertising is. Vague. I put this off for a long time because looking around on their website there was a lot of talk about how you're a writer and super creative and also they'll never steal your data to train AIs, but it was really hard to find a place where it outright said what the product was. This concerns me because it makes me feel like the company has something to hide.
Good things:
It's a platform that does the same thing as Google Docs without actually being Google Docs. This is a powerful pro. I'll probably keep using it for now.
Oh yeah and they don't have an app. A few years ago this would have gone in the less-than-ideal section for me but these days with the way app stores are about user generated content it's probably best to avoid the whole thing. I followed their suggestion to set a link on my homescreen (through Firefox) and it works very well. I was worried it might be laggy (Tumblr was laggy when I used it through Firefox) but it's been very responsive. No server access if you're not connected to the internet, but if you have the document already open then you can keep typing into it and it will update when you reconnect. This is the same way I used Google Docs back in the day and perfectly serviceable in my opinion.

An important internet safety tip for my fellow marginalized folks in this season of U.S. Hell:
It is much easier to find your location from your photos/videos than you might think, just from visual clues.
Back when Onision was having the height of his meltdown, I was able to find the exact hotel he was staying in from one of his videos. I found it by looking at the room decor and furniture. He'd also made the very stupid mistake of showing a split second of the view outside the window, so I could make out the names and logos of nearby businesses. The view didn't even need to show a sign with the hotel's name. He'd already revealed what city or county he was in, so I just had to look up the business outside the window after the name of the city in Google Maps to find the hotel. I also found what type of room he was in (i.e. economy, deluxe, etc), and which floor he was on by the view from the window.
I was also very close to finding his home address just from two things: photo/video available online showing the front of his house, and the name of his city which was also public information.
This is very easy to do, it doesn't take being a tech genius or whatever.
-Do not show the outside of a nearby building in your online content. Even if it's not the outside of your own home, these images can still be used to find your location.
-If filming inside a hotel room, find a blank background with no visible decor or furniture. Even the wallpaper can be a clue.
-Make sure any windows visible in your images don't show anything distinctive: no business signs, no landmarks, no artwork/murals on the sides of buildings, no houses, no apartment balconies with anything on them (any decor or furniture on an apartment balcony can be a clue).
-Your car can be a clue. Even the color. If you film inside your car and it must be parked outside your residence, avoid any special seat covers, plushies in the windows, anything distinctive hanging from the mirror, etc.
-This one's pretty basic, but sharing your city, state, and even general area can be very risky. If any of this is combined with other things listed above, your location could be found with a quick internet search. Sharing what sports teams you support (including wearing merch in images or having it on your walls in them) is the same as revealing your city or state, unless it's different from where you live.
-Private your "likes" and what pages you follow, if any of them might be distinctive to your area. For example, on Twitter, you might follow the local news, police, and DOT.
-Internet footprint: Using the same username and/or profile picture on all platforms and/or copying your bios and posts across multiple platforms can make your online footprint more traceable. This can make it harder for you to truly start clean if you have to delete an account and start fresh.
-One more great internet thing: Use a VPN to hide your IP address. Doxxers can use your IP address to find your info. I use Surfshark for a VPN, it's one of the cheaper ones I've found (around $15 per month I think). I budget this by not having any streaming subscriptions and instead using an illicit website to watch stuff for free (while having my VPN on, and doing a security scan on my PC now and then).

old-reds.html
The following is an excerpt from the official website for the Neutral Capital Coalition (or NCC) – a political coalition, formed out of four parties: The Capital Communist Party, The Communist Party of The Capital, Party of Capital Communists, and Russophiles for the Rebirth of the Fatherland.
As you click around, you are presented the political doctrine of, what is advertised as, an ideologically neutral, nationalist party, somewhere in the political centre of The Capital. Most of the text on screen is, by default, scaled to the largest font size available, as if to compensate for their average reader's diminishing eyesight. All of the buttons are large, and noticeably red.
The page also appears to have been mangled, as most of the assets on screen seem to be misaligned and mistranslated. Whether or not this is a freak web-scraping accident, or the original design is impossible to tell.
Welcome to the Neutral Capital Coalition’s official website. Click here to view the list of candidates for the production of the representatives from the coalition for the October election season. “Climble the snark and ER!”
“Russia is not our enemy” – it says on the bulletin.
“The Capital Socialist Party – a bourgeois party!” - it says on the news ticker.
The political scene in The Capital is a difficult one to translate to people who haven’t lived there in the last thirty years or so. Regardless, the post-Cold-War political climate is not too different from other Eastern European countries at the time. After the fall of the Soviet Union, most of the former Soviet republics are thrust into political turmoil, as the power vacuum allows for new faces to come into the limelight, new political political figures to head the nation through the tumultuous process of democratisation.
However, not everyone was so eager. “The Old Guard”, as they would come to be know, were all those people – now aged 70 and over – who felt that this was the worst thing that could happen to their homeland. Usually, individuals in high-standing positions within the country’s administration, and/or people whose sense of identity was too intertwined with the Soviet ideal, to give up so easily.
Those people were forced into a kind of hiding in plain sight – their former party allegiance kept under wraps, until the country could be once again reunited with the Motherland. The rewards for their patience were to be tenfold, as Putin himself would shake their hand and thank them for their devotion to the greater cause.
Such a thing would, sadly, not happen in their lifetimes. Distraught, they would make a five-year plan to ensure that such a future is secured, even if they couldn’t see it for themselves. With their millions in accumulated net-worth, they would do the next best thing – they would have children.
Now aged in their mid-forties or early fifties, these are the children that saw the tail-end of the old socialist regime, and would be tasked with rebuilding the nation in the new westernised era. Children that have been taught from an early age, that there is a great nation out there in the north – a brother nation, which cares so deeply about them, and would do anything to be together with them again. One that would save them from the West.
No one asked the people whether or not they want to join the EU, nor did they ask their opinion on whether that is a poll that should be held! It is our position that it is better for our nation to not participate in the EU. We definitively have no place in NATO, and it is yet another lie that NATO is a defence alliance that will come to our aid!
It is an aggressive and terrorist organisation, set to impose US world domination, as Eisenhower himself said when he created NATO!
Many of the workers, who have been brainwashed by the bourgeois propaganda for 30 years now, have no class consciousness, and every person who is on a salary is part of the working class! The majority of people still remember who really cares for us, who we must reunite with, if we are to survive as a people. We must return to our brothers-in-arms, and be whole once again! – the page reads.
And so the country exists as a relic - a perpetual proxy war, which is begging to return to the “good ol’ days”. Being on either side of the political spectrum labels you as either an old, detached, Russian pawn, or a new, money-grubbing, US puppet. No one is playing for the home team.
Under these conditions, there could be no moving forward from the Cold War. The country would be stuck in a perpetual transition from one regime to the next – one step forward, one step back. There could be no such thing as nationalism, since whatever form that word would appear in, on the political stage, would soon come to be clarified by whom it was paid for – the US or Russia. On its own, it is a nation that bares no remark – a country with no identity of its own; much like a D-list actor, working as an extra, in a large Hollywood blockbuster production.
On the receiving end of all this, would be the Old Guard’s grandchildren – now aged somewhere in their twenties. Children that have never seen the old regime, nor will they get to see the new one. A lost generation, not because of war, death, and bloodshed, but lost because it would only ever exist in transition. A generation of unfulfilled youth, who would only ever hear of greater times from the past, or even greater times to be had in the years to come. Their present would be put on hold for the sake of someone else’s idea for the future.
Now think what kind of life a person, born into that generation would have. What decision would they make, when they walk up to vote for the future of their country, and on that list is some coalition, vying for neutrality – a coalition composed entirely out of former members of the Old Guard. Is it some practical joke? What could the “Neutral” in their name stand for? It isn’t neutral, because it is a compromise between the political ambitions of both sides. It isn’t neutral because it wants to put the country first, and foreign diplomacy second. It’s neutral, because they believe that they’ve already won.
US-financed neo-Nazi leader detained by our glorious militia! Another victory against fascism in Europe! The Neutral Capital Coalition expresses its gratitude to The Capital municipality, the mayor, the Supreme Administrative Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The state has once again shown I pursues a consistent and categorical policy against the western fascism, perpetuated by the US in our country. – an article on the page reads.
What can a member of that lost generation do? Wait for every single insignificant old fart in the Old Guard to keel over and die? Gladly. . . but unfortunately unlikely. The thing about those parasites is that when they multiply, their children aren’t that much better off. They keep spreading the brotherly love, and wear their red little pins, while they go to their rallies. The unfortunate truth of the matter, is that in order to have the memory of the good ol’ times to fade away, the neue Lost Generation won't only have to wait for the Old Guard to die, but have their own parents die as well; have themselves die; and in all likelihood, have their children die of old age, for good measure.
That is—obviously—a morbid and slow process. Too slow. So what is the next best thing? Well. . . being the most technologically savvy generation, nurtured on the internet, as so called “digital natives”, might end up having its boons. Here and there, their grandparent might have the idea to meet with like-minded people, reminisce about the good ol’ times, and discuss some political views. However, walking is getting a little bit harder as time goes on, and those legs don’t carry you as far as they used to. Maybe the kid can set you up on the computer, so you can do that over the internet instead. Maybe you have the kid make your political party’s website, since he seems to be good with that whole programming thing. Maybe the kid starts phishing for some credentials, distributing some malware, running some ransomware, mining cryptocurrencies, and generally opening a couple of extra bank accounts for every visitor on that site.
Slowly, but surely, every member of the Old Guard slowly starts having more and more issues with the computer. Every click slowing their machine down more and more. A CPU failure here, identity theft there; an issue with their health insurance here, a completely drained pension there.
Eventually, it all adds up, and all they have left to do is lay down, penniless, unable to move, disconnected from the world – all alone. Nothing but their ideals to keep them company. A new age with a digital footprint large enough to stomp out the good ol' times from collective memory. Surely, your brothers and sisters out north will rush will save you now.
Anton “The Shiv” Popov is to be sent into one of the new mixed-gender prisons, which were recently established due to the overwhelming levels of success in detaining the large spike in crime seen around The Capital in recent years. The NCC sees this as an incredible victory for the equality of the sexes and the rule of law in our great nation!

i wanna help palestine, however i don't have much money to send for help. besides reposting links, and trying to spread the truth, what else can be done? i don't want my lack of funds to be a reason innocence suffers.
https://arab.org/click-to-help/palestine/ - click daily for free and the proceeds will go to charity.
Save media (videos and images) - social media has taken down so many pages over the years (Eye on Palestine is now up on Instagram but they were down for a few days and unsure if they'd be back) so for those with a solid external harddrive, do your thing!
I know you said this but keep sharing posts! The same as above, many websites want to censor Palestinian content. Share as much as you can to combat the propaganda news outlets are spreading. FOLLOW AS MANY PALESTINIAN ACTIVISTS AS YOU CAN!
Protests - attend a protest if you can! Remember to mask up (for virus and personal security purposes) and hide any identifiable markings like tattoos. There are many how-to-protest guides out there with important information on what to bring so please read up on those before attending!
Contact your reps - Link for Europeans. Link for Americans. Google Doc with scripts for different countries!
Involved money but I'm adding it for the folks with funds!
bdsmovement - The South African boycott was fundamental so I don't want to hear anyone saying boycotting doesn't work. From my knowledge the bdsmovement is the main boycotting list, it systematically boycotts companies to give the biggest impact but I've also been avoiding Mcdonald's, Burger King, Starbucks, Disney (is generally a bullshit company otherwise), and Apple (is also a bullshit company otherwise too) for the what they've been doing in Israel too and many others have too because their sales have fallen.
Support Palestinian Businesses - seen posts around that loads of people are ordering and preordering from kufiya.org/ which are the last remaining Kufiya makers.
I'll update this with more information/links when found!
I hope this makes sense I just woke up but I needed to answer this.

Massive Malware Campaigns Infiltrate Docker Hub, Deploying Millions of Malicious Containers
Tumblr media
JFrog's security research team has uncovered three large-scale malware campaigns infiltrating Docker Hub, a platform facilitating Docker image development, collaboration, and distribution. These campaigns have deployed millions of malicious "imageless" containers, exploiting Docker Hub's community features. Docker Hub hosts a staggering 12.5 million repositories, but according to JFrog, approximately 25% serve no useful functionality. Instead, they act as vehicles for spam, pirated content promotion, and malware dissemination, posing a significant threat to unsuspecting users.
Exploiting Community Features: Malicious Documentation Pages
The attack on Docker Hub exploited its community features, allowing users to publish repositories with only documentation pages, devoid of actual container images. Disguised as legitimate content, these documentation pages lead users to phishing and malware-hosting websites, putting their systems at risk.
Three Major Malware Campaigns Identified
Through an analysis of Docker Hub image creation patterns over the past five years, the research team identified over four million imageless repositories, constituting 37% of all public repositories. Further investigation revealed three main malware campaigns: - Downloader Campaign: Offers pirated content and game cheats as bait. - eBook Phishing Campaign: Lures users with free eBook downloads to steal credit card information. - Website Campaign: Characterized by randomly generated repositories with benign descriptions. Each campaign employed distinct tactics to evade detection, such as URL shorteners and open redirect bugs. The payloads of these campaigns, predominantly Trojans, communicated with command-and-control (C2) servers to download additional malware and execute persistent tasks on infected systems.
Call for Enhanced Moderation and Community Involvement
These findings highlight the need for enhanced moderation on Docker Hub and greater community involvement in detecting and mitigating malicious activity. Andrey Polkovnichenko, security researcher at JFrog, warned, "The most concerning aspect of these three campaigns is that there is not a lot that users can do to protect themselves at the outset other than exercising caution." Polkovnichenko added, "These threat actors are highly motivated and are hiding behind the credibility of the Docker Hub name to lure victims. As Murphy's Law suggests, if malware developers can exploit something, it inevitably will be, so we expect that these campaigns can be found in more repositories than just Docker Hub." KoronaDates - The #1 best dating site in Greece and Cyprus!
Tumblr media
We've discovered KoronaDates as a shining pearl in the murky sea of online dating.
And most importantly, everyone is already there! Your neighbor, the one with the expressive eyes and rich inner world? She's there too, sending selfies of her rich inner world to some wealthy Saudi now.
Are you going to be left out like a hermit crab?
What is so great about KoronaDates and what's with all the fuss?
The company behind the website has already seen great success with a series of successful applications targeting markets in the Persian Gulf and Eastern Europe. By uniting the beauties of the East with Arabic luxury, they created an explosive combination that left behind hundreds of happy couples. And now, they've set their sights on conquering the Greek market!
KoronaDates is currently the exclusive dating club for men, where everyone can find something that suits their tastes.
With a youthful design, user-friendly interface, and complete freedom, you can enjoy meetings, hot chats, search for sugar adventures, or whatever your soul desires.
Whether you're a married person looking for an "escape" or a single seeking a serious or casual relationship, or a lone wolf looking for conversation, or discreet sexy time with safety and confidentiality, KoronaDates always has something for you.
Starting from a market with strict morals, KoronaDates prioritizes complete protection of your personal information, ensuring full privacy and security for its members. For user safety, the website prohibits the sharing of personal data and will never ask for information like other social networks. Remember when Facebook blocked you and asked for your ID, tax returns, three sworn statements, and two fee deposits at the Municipality to reopen your profile? Forget about it! On KoronaDates, it will never happen!
Registration is easy, with just an email address and a click to confirm through the link sent to you. Users register anonymously with a simple username, discouraging the use of real names for personal safety. So, if you're thinking of signing up as "John Marcus Stephenson, resident of McDonald blvd, 2nd floor, apt6, ID number 93319892" as Mr. Zuckerberg has taught you, forget about it!
Moreover, women always go through verification via a selfie to ensure the authenticity of their profiles. This offers extra security and protection for men, as on most social networks, there are often other men hiding behind women's profiles.
Any photo or video you choose to upload to your profile stays there as long as you desire, and it disappears from the page forever once you press the delete button. While registration is free, the use of the service is a premium service. We know all good things in life are either illegal, unethical, make you fat, or have a cost. However, the connections you make on KoronaDates will not be illegal unless you live in some weird place that punishes adultery. They won't make you fat unless you go on the first date for ribs, and ethics are subjective for everyone. KoronaDates continues to be one of the cheapest applications of its kind, offering fantastic value for money.
In addition, your payments for the service won't raise suspicion from your spouse, as the website supports discreet transactions with GooglePay, ApplePay, and even fully anonymous transactions with cryptocurrencies. This aligns more with the dominant male, as everyone knows the true Alpha Male is already years ahead and knows all the secrets of cryptocurrency transactions!
Regarding usability, we found KoronaDates incredibly user-friendly and comfortable, with all profile settings consolidated on one page, making it easy for both younger and older users. The website attracts users of all ages, thanks to its straightforward design.
Searching for matches was exceptionally easy, with the site's algorithm constantly presenting new potential matches based on the user's profile settings.
For those who enjoy playing double-triple board games, the site allows users to hide their personal photos and surf with one of the beautifully pre-installed avatars. This feature is available only for men.
Additionally, for those feeling competitive, the site offers the "boost" feature, which elevates your profile in searches above your "competitors," ensuring you're always at the top and surpassing others like a conquering emperor!
Unlike other apps that limit users to their local village, asking for extra payment to change location, KoronaDates allows users to communicate with anyone from any country at any time. So, if someone got tired of Mary's and Elens for some reason, they are free to find a hot Latina Juana Dolores dela Cuna Tonores and try to open up the world like a "sword-wielding oyster," as the immortal Shakespeare put it.
Overall, our experience on KoronaDates aligns with the reviews of other users in Greece and internationally, finding it from "satisfactory" to "fantastic." Some users from more "progressive" countries had complaints about the lack of extra "equipment" in the pants on the site. Unfortunately, not everyone can be satisfied with everything, but we believe there are already enough apps covering that specific market, like TS-dating.
Taking all this into account, our editorial team's experience on KoronaDates was positive, and we give it a rating of 9.7/10.

What is a Robots.txt file, and how do you create one?
🛠A robots.txt file provides instructions to online robots—such as search engine crawlers—on how to index and crawl pages on a website. It also indicates whether parts of the website are safe to ignore or scan.
Tumblr media
The method of creating a robots.txt file is simple. Here's a quick start guide to get you going:
1. Launch a text editor (such as Notepad or Sublime Text) on your PC.
2. Save a brand-new document called "robots.txt."
3. Include instructions and use the proper syntax. For instance, to prevent access to a particular directory, you might type:
 User-agent: * /directory-name/ is prohibited.
4. Conserve the document after you've included all required guidance.
5. Upload the robots.txt file to your website's root directory using an FTP client.
It's important to note that while robots.txt can prevent the crawling of specific pages, it doesn't provide a secure method for hiding sensitive information. For sensitive content, additional security measures should be implemented. By creating and managing a robots.txt file, you can effectively guide search engine crawlers and improve the visibility of your website's content. Stay tuned for more insights on website optimization and digital marketing!

"Ozpin's Fault AU"
Discoveries (917 Words)
Ruby was dreading going to classes. With all the weirdness that had been happening to JNPR, in particular, Jaune... she was finding it hard to focus on school. Things were just too distracting, of course it didn't help that Yang had shared the now infamous "Wedding Gown" photo to their whole friend group. So now Ruby was conflicted. Jaune was her first friend of Beacon. They shared many similar interests, comics, video games, action movies. Though she did wish he would seriously consider getting a ranged option.
But this conflict was not related to that desire. No, this conundrum was totally about what seeing Jaune as she was now as compared to what he was about two days ago. Ruby had been comparing pictures of Jaune. Taken by her or their friends, and she was noticing something, and it was confusing her. Sighing, she closed the photo application on her scroll, and open the browser function.
She had heard the Nora and Yang making comments about an OnlyFans page, Golden-something, so not feeling hungry and still having some time before her first class, Ruby navigated to the proper website. She still couldn't completely remember the channel name that Yang had mentioned, but she didn't feel like messaging her older half-sister to get it, so she just started to browse.
"PERFECTIONisSNOWANGEL? That looks like?"
/=/
After finishing her call with Qrow, and securing his assistance, she was on her way towards Ozpin's office when her scroll began to vibrate. Pulling it out, she looked to check the caller ID and froze in her tracks. It was one of her two twin sisters. Katherine Adel, Coco's mom. She was concerned that her youngest twin was calling out of the blue, so hesitantly she answered.
"Kat? This is a surprise."
"Glyn, you wouldn't believe what I just saw." Kat responded, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Oh, really?" Glynda schooled her features, preventing the apprehension that was rising with in her from showing upon her face.
"Yes, I was checking my scroll notifications from yesterday, as you know how busy I get, when inspiration strikes."
"I do." Kat was the most fashioned minded of the Goodwitch triplets. She turned her huntress training into a growing fashion empire, focused booth on elegance for the civilian population and function for the fashion conscious huntsman and huntress. "Coming up with anything..."
"I had all these posts from my darling little Coco," Katherine Adel cut off her oldest sister. "So artfully done, those picture, but I noticed something..."
"And what was that?" Glynda was having a hard time keeping her anxiety over the possibilities of this conversation going somewhere she wasn't ready to deal with.
"It was Coco's model. A darling of a young vixen. A real heartbreaker, she is..."
"Kat, you're starting to ramble."
"I guess I am, anyway," Kat gave Glynda the smile. It was almost as much of a trademark look as Glynda's stare. A look that promised trouble. "She bore such a resemblance to the family, almost a carbon image of Jade, Juniper and Jaune..."
Glynda began to sweat.
"Appeared to be the same age too..."
"Is... is this going somewhere, Kat?"
"I was trying to place the gorgeous girl, and then I remembered..." Kat's smile grew. " Around the time Jas was pregnant with the triplets, you sort of fell off the map.
"Oh gods, no." Glynda thought.
"Is there something you want to let your favourite sister in on, Glyn? A delectable secret you've been keeping from your precious and loved sisters?"
"No. Not that I can recall."
"Really?" Kat's eyes narrowed, but her smile never faltered. "No hidden away beau... a faunus hunk that gave you a precious bundle of joy?"
"No, please Gods no." Glynda begged in her mind.
"It hurts, you know."
"Hurts?"
"Yes, that you would hide such a thing from Jas and me." the smile turned to a pout. "Did you think we wouldn't accept her? That we are as backwater as that lout Alistair Winchester?"
"I..."
"Anyway," the smile returned. "I called Jas, and we've decided..."
"Fuck, shit, hell, kill me now!" Glynda's mind raced, as Katherine continued.
"... that we're coming for a visit. Jas, Jade and Juniper want to check up and Jaune, and we all..."
"Justifiable homicide. That is what it'll be when I get to that office, Ozpin." Glynda thought.
"... are coming to Beacon to meet our newest addition." Kat's smile deepened, "And we're expecting some answers. See you tomorrow!"
"Please no." Glynda whined as Kat hung-up. "Fuck my life!"

Ruby was so entranced with the free offerings of PERFECTIONisSNOWANGEL that she totally missed breakfast. Before her in a ratty flannel shirt, torn jeans and worn baseball cap, that her flowing white hair was pulled through, sat Weiss. She was on a simple wooden barstool, alone in a room, a well-used acoustic guitar on her lap, decorated with multiple band decals.
"I am doll eyes..." she sang in a low, almost mournful voice. A cover of a song from a band Ruby had never listened to. "... doll mouth, doll legs."
Ruby scanned her page, seeing her followed count, and the multiple videos locked behind a cheap paywall. One that she could easily afford to spring for. The last video posting was two years ago, and that made Ruby wonder a couple of things. One why Weiss had never told anyone about this part of her life. Why she seemed so morose, and what the reason was that PERFECTIONisSNOWANGEL stopped uploading content.

CAI Tools extension for extra features on Character.AI
Tumblr media
Character.AI has become the go-to platform for millions of users seeking interactive and engaging conversations with AI. Now, this extension brings a range of new features designed to add functionality and customization to your digital interactions. Let’s dive into the specifics and see how CAI Tools is set to give you an even better experience.
Feature Showcase:
1. Clone/Duplicate Your Chat Ever wondered what would happen if you took a different path in your conversation? It’s dilemma, choosing between sacrificing your perfectly tailored chat by deleting messages or starting a new chat from zero. With Character.AI, now you don’t need to choose! Clone your chats to explore different routes and outcomes while completely preserving the current conversation.
2. Extend Memory with Customizable Reminders Create and customize any number of reminders that extend the memory of your AI character. Set important details such as preferences, history and lore. You can even set the frequency of reminder.
3. Save Chats on your PC/Phone Save your chats directly to your PC and read them whenever you want. Especially important when you lose your chats for good. Whether it’s for sentimental reasons or simply to have a back up, CAI Tools lets you do that with just a couple of clicks. You receive your as HTML file, which you can open on browsers and have a good experience reading it.
4. Download Characters in JSON and PNG (Card) Format Character Cards are pretty valuable, because you can use them universally without memorizing or copy pasting each setting one by one. In fact, CAI Tools is used to distribute Character Cards to popular websites like chub.ai, spicychat.ai and more (beware of 18+, though.)
5. Review Hidden Character Settings Ever been curious about the settings of your AI companion? Character.AI lets you see the character settings, even for popular characters that typically have their settings hidden. Unfortunately definitions section may be trully hidden and inaccessible.
6. Download Chats in Various Formats If you want to take your chats to other platforms, you no longer need to copy and paste all your messages. Download your chats in Oobabooga format, Tavern & SillyTavern format that Moemate.io also uses.
7. Chats as definition You liked how the chatbot responds in a specific chat and want the new chats to have the same quality? You can have a definition format of your chat and paste it in the definition setting of your character. Almost too easy.
User interface:
You will get a blue button on top right in chat and history pages. You can get to the menu by clicking on it.
Drag the button with its appendage if you want it elsewhere.
If you don’t need it, you can hide it with three fast taps on the appendage.

Why I'll Always Have Job Security, And Why I Feel Like Sisyphus
I looked through my work Junk folder I found something that could have been related to a customer, so I opened it. Turns out it was actually from another customer to my older work email address. In reviewing my data in this customer's database they also have my personal cell phone number and also my old San Francisco home address. They got my info from a crappy third party data company that clearly got it from some data breach or something, likely due to phishing.
Folks, the thing that few people really want to talk about is that with enough time any and all databases have weaknesses that can be exploited. I only work in email compliance, so if you don't want to believe me you don't have to, but from what I've seen if any computer is hooked up to the internet then it's possible to exploit security weaknesses - which are usually otherwise well-meaning but gullible people - into doing what they want, and then it's all downhill from there.
Here's an example: take a look at this page and start scrolling, looking at the size of the scroll bar. Tiny, huh? Almost like if you have a website that stores data about people you might be at risk of it being breached.
I will always recommend trying to limit how many places you reveal your physical and electronic addresses and your phone numbers, but...so did I, and it's still all out there anyway. So, don't be too surprised when you're spammed, because it's just going to happen anyway.
And marketers: stop buying data. Seriously. No one has a perfectly good list of "guaranteed customers," otherwise if they did they'd keep it for themselves and make millions. You're just being a shit to other people who will never know; you're hiding in obscurity and that means that you believe that you should be able to get away with whatever you want, but in truth you're just a piece of shit, and you've made someone's day a little more annoying in the hopes that you make some more money. Re-examine your life choices.
Anyway, now it's time to decide whether it will look better for my coworker to lead the investigation into this customer or if I just want to charge in asking direct questions like "How did you get my old home address and my cell number?" even though I know and just watch them squirm.
