This was inspired by Izutsumi from Delicious in Dungeon who rated snoozing with her party members. I thought it was very cute and wanted to do the same with Omega and her brothers.

Crosshair: I don’t even like Echo he’s the worst I can’t believe we did all of this for a reg

Echo: *makes jokes two seconds after being unplugged from the Techno Union computer, jumps on the back of a keeradak without hesitation, fights with them and kicks serious ass, and comes up with a strategy so chaotic even Tech was like ‘what arE YOU DOING?’*

Crosshair: ……. I would die for him

I think about this a lot...

Crosshair, Mr. "We don't usually work with Regs", Mr. "I would have left him for dead too, he is just another Reg", Sees this mangled mess of a clone fight for a couple of minutes and decides to place his hand on his shoulder when the battle is over.

It almost feels like he is worried Echo will tumble over the edge and fall, even tho we don't see Echo loosing his balance once. But, it also feels like a congratulation, like he recognizes just how good of a soldier Echo actually is. You don't see it in the Gif, but he even gives him a little head nod of acknowledgment!

Do you think he realized why they took so much risk for just one "Reg"? He came to understand why Echo was so important and Rex made such a big fuss about it?

Do you think he came to accept that Echo was "not bad for a reg?"

Cause if he did, he would have been the first of The Bad Batch to do so. Since in the next episode we have both Hunter and Tech distrusting Echo and his ideas, worried he might have some ulterior motives.

I think... Mr. "I hate regs" is actually a big softie and accepted Echo as a brother way before the others did.

(The Bad Batch) How He Is with His Newborn Baby

Hunter: He adores them and spends a lot of time holding them. Hunter is also really big on the whole skin-to-skin contact, so it becomes a common thing to see him walking around shirtless with the baby cradled snugly in one arm. He gets pretty good at performing tasks around the home with the baby. He's enraptured by the little one, but also very attentive to your needs. Hunter makes sure you take the time you need to eat, shower, and just have time to relax every now and then. Literally, any excuse to hold them some more, and he's giving it. He is good at rocking the baby in such a way that they fall asleep instantly in his arms.

Wrecker: The baby has him wrapped around their tiny finger already. He's already telling them how much he loves them and how proud he is. Wrecker also just spends time telling them all the fun things they're going to do together when they're old enough to walk, talk, etc. He is so unbelievably gentle and sweet with the little one in general, and also of course with you. He'll randomly stare at you and tell you how beautiful you are and what a good job you're doing.

Tech: This baby is not at the point where they can retain any information yet, but Tech spends plenty of time just talking to them. He talks about anything his mind can conjure up. The baby becomes so accustomed to the sound of his voice that it has quite the soothing effect. Additionally, Tech is very quick to pick up on the baby's cycle of needs. It gets to the point where they cry, and he can glance at his chrono and pinpoint exactly what they need according to the little schedule he's created. He also regularly checks the baby's weight, vitals, to make sure they're in good health. From time to time he voices yet again how fascinating the miracle of birth is and how proud he is of you, also checking your health.

Echo: Spends the first few weeks only holding the baby when sitting down. He can't get over how fragile they are, and he just sits there and stares at them as long as he can in amazement and adoration before they wake up from their nap or fuss about something they need. When the baby bursts into a fit of wails, he goes into a bit of a panic mode worrying about what's wrong. Eventually, he gets more comfortable and gets used to the idea that the baby is just communicating a need. It doesn't take long for him to become a professional dad. He gets pretty organized with the diaper bag and supplies so that he can just pull out whatever the baby needs at the drop of a hat.

Crosshair: He spends a good while just quietly holding the baby in his arms and watching them. Internally, he thinks they're absolutely precious and realizes he loves them so much. He already knew he'd love them, but he didn't realize it would feel like this. The baby is heart-wrenchingly cute, and he'd do anything to protect them. You come to find that he becomes more vocal, telling the baby in a sort of Crosshair-style sarcasm that they need to get their act together every time he has to handle a diaper change, feeding, etc. He's up with you at any hour day or night to help with the baby without a complaint, and regularly makes sure you're taking care of yourself also.

Don’t mind me, just imagining that Tech had his comm turned on as he was falling and could hear Wrecker and Omega shouting for them to go back for him - it was breaking his heart to hear them so desperate to save him, and he knew that it was irrelevant.

He decides that he wants to listen to some of his recordings, where memories of family sounding happy and content are going to be the last thing he hears before he hits the ground ababanaikakwkshabkqksjdbw

Tech loves his family and wanted them to be the last thing he sees/hears and you can’t change my mind, I’m already ugly crying

Gonna cry but that’s okay because when Tech hits the ground he wakes up from the nightmare in a cold sweat in the Marauder surrounded by his family and they all have a happily ever after 🥹🥹🫣🫣 Right??? RIGHT???🥲🥲

I started this project seven months ago, on March 15th. I’ve been working on it off and on for about 5 hours at a time since then. During these seven months, I’ve had to take four and a half of them off from drawing on the computer. That still leaves just over two months of the process. I’ve restarted the background several times, I’ve redone their faces and lighting, I’ve given up on certain parts of it, but I’ve learned a ton in the span this one project. And I can finally get working on my other four projects that I’ve been waiting to do. I didn’t want to start another project before finishing this one because I knew I’d never see it again. And I’m happy I did that. It’s finally over. I can see so many mistakes that I’m not upset about this time, I’m not disappointed or embarrassed about them, I’m just happy I finished it. I was really excited to show the Timelapse video of this long, long, long process, but I goofed up the recordings so I won’t be able to. HOWEVER, I’m so happy about finishing this and this becoming a learning opportunity for me, I’m hoping to post some review of the things I learned during this project.

Also I started this quite a bit before the finale obviously. So, by the time CX-2 decided to chop this baby off, I was too far gone.
