Hey, clone artists (and really any Star Wars artist), if you’re having trouble drawing clone helmets/weapons at certain angles, there’s a website called Sketchfab where you can look at 3D models to use as reference. There are several Star Wars galleries of 3D modeled gear for Republic troopers, Imperial troopers, Mandalorians, and others too. You can rotate the resources around or download them to use in your own 3D software. Some resources are free to download, others are not, depending on the creator’s settings. If you need to position a helmet or weapon a certain way, then this makes it a lot easier to reference.

I needed a reference of a phase 2 clone trooper helmet at a specific angle. So, I found a 3D model, rotated it to fit my needs, and started using it as my reference. It made it a lot easier. I'm sure you could also use these to study helmet forms too :)

P.S. If the image is a little blurry, its because I took a screen shot using the snipper tool and just copy pasted it to the post.

Welcome to Piña Appreciation Week!

I was scrolling through my inbox recently and noticed something -- there were regular asks from @returnofthepineapple that she'd sent throughout my hiatuses, things like "thinking of you!" and funny memes and "share about your OC!" or "tell us about your fic!"... Even when I was unresponsive, she was still showin the love.

It really struck me, and I thought about how she's been doing so much to inspire and encourage the fandom, from regularly reblogging stuff (with hilarious reaction pics) to creating an entire side blog @pinascreatorcorner to promote stuff to putting so much work into hosting events @pinascloneevents.

She was also one of my first friends when we were both tumblr newbies 2ish years ago, and she invited me to a chaotic lil discord server she'd made (for cone simps... typo intentional 😂), which she's cultivated into a beloved lil community of my favorite peeps, and just made me feel so loved and valued. I know she's done that for others too!

SO, all that being said, I'd like to welcome you all to Pineapple Appreciation Week, where we'll be sharing some of our favorite content and love for Piña from Aug 10-16. PLEASE join in! It's welcome to all. ☺️ And I hope you feel all the love you deserve, @returnofthepineapple! 🥰

One of the tubie toddlers (“how long are they considered tubies?’’Idk”) woke up after the uprising. He’s never seen an adult clone, only its batch mates, droids and the occasional kaminoan. He low-key imprinted on a trooper, and refused to be passed to anyone else, until one of them took off his bucket as well.

Bonus:

They would have gotten latrine duty, but Fox knows they’re soon going to need a lot of babysitters.

I was thinking about Tup, and I made myself sad.

At the Battle of Christophsis (22BBY), Rex, as a member of the oldest generation of regular clone troopers, is 10 years old (biologically 20).

At the Battle of Umbara (20BBY), Tup, and possibly Dogma, is a shiny, so he's at most 10 (biologically 20); however, after the Battle of Geonosis where all the 10-year-old clone troopers were deployed, they started deploying younger clones, like Domino Squad, who were sent to the Rishi moon also in 22BBY despite being enough younger than Rex that they hadn't completed their training by the start of the war. With that in mind, it's possible that Tup could have easily been as young as 8-9 (biologically 16-18), but almost certainly not older than 10.

SIXTEEN YEARS OLD AT THE BATTLE OF UMBARA. THE SAME AGE AS AHSOKA.

Kriff me. That poor kid.

Also, if Dogma is indeed Tup's batchmate as fanon theorizes, does that make you view him through a slightly more compassionate lens? I don't know about you, but I wasn't exactly the model of flexible thinking when I was 16.
