THIS explains why from quite the young age we enjoyed let’s plays, actually. Sitting and joking around together about what we were playing was normal for us in the head, in retrospect, but that’s extremely odd to have that interaction in your own head and the system is still trying to hide itself from me and my family so rather than make and laugh at my own jokes in a way that is definitely normal singlet behavior (/s), I was doing it with the YouTubers instead. My parents even commented on how much it seemed like they could hear me, bc the comedic timing was juuuuuust right to where I’d say something and it would sound like Jack or Mark was responding to me. This definitely did NOT end in me having alters of those YouTubers and you can’t prove it did.
being plural is crazy because you do the most mundane shit and have a bunch of people making live commentary on it like they’re streamers making reaction content

dissociation isn't always pathological btw.
you don't need a dissociative disorder to dissociate. you don't even need trauma to dissociate.
some level of dissociation is always going to be normal.

we don't experience much everyday blackout amnesia, but we do experience a lot of emotional amnesia - that feeling of "that wasn't me, i don't feel connected to that."
the best way that i've found to describe that feeling is "that feels like a dream." so many memories feel like dreams, like i didn't actually experience them. it's like how sometimes you'll only remember a dream in bits and pieces, and it gives you a weird "off" feeling whenever you think about it. the memory of the dream feels distant and strange. that is what emotional amnesia feels like for us.

Systems are not birds hope this helps

Using the dissociative diagnostic criteria to invalidate endogenics is like reading a book called "How to Identify Hummingbirds" and going "Aha! Pigeons aren't real birds! Only Hummingbirds are real birds!"
Like
The fuck?
There are many types of birds (systems) with their own characteristics, and using a (imperfect) baseline for one specific type doesn't mean the others don't exist - just that they aren't that one specific type

the fact that some people still believe in there being an "evil alter" is so funny. there's not one evil alter here we're all in a ranked competition to see who's the evilest. it gets super competitive blood gets shed people die.

Normalize not having to pick a fucking side in syscourse. Normalize being able to exist on the internet as a system or with a CDD without having to constantly answer questions and take stances on syscourse. There is more to being a system than syscourse. You don't have to pick a side and you can block anyone who makes you. You don't have to give a shit about whether or not you can be a system without trauma, you can just exist
DO NOT TAG WITH SYSCOURSE TAGS (eg. anti endo, pro endo, etc)

seeing people my age talk about how scared they are of memory loss, which they only associate with old age, is so surreal to see as a 24 year old who has actively experienced memory loss for a long time now
there are causes for memory loss besides dementia and alzheimer’s, i hope y’all know that. dissociative disorders, trauma, brain injuries, thyroid problems, even just stress and lack of sleep can fuck up your ability to store, process, and access memory. and that’s just a few of the many causes i can think of off the top of my head right now.
please stop treating disabled people like some scary “other” that you might become only in the distant, decades-away future. we are your age, too. you may become one of us sooner than you know. stop acting like memory loss marks the end of a life, when so many of us have so much living left to do!

People with psychotic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with personality disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with substance abuse disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with tic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with bipolar disorder are neurodivergent too.
People with dissociative disorders are neurodivergent too.
Neurodivergence isn’t just ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. (Plus those last two also get left out sometimes!) Neurodivergence is anything that affects your brain.
“Neurodivergent people hate loud noises” is actually just as valid as a statement as “neurodivergent people have delusions,” “neurodivergent people have tics,” or even “neurodivergent people have low empathy.”

"inner worlds" and "headspaces" are literally just your imagination btw. they're therapeutic techniques that visualize the inner workings of your system. they're used to improve system function and communication. they're not real, they're metaphorical. EVERYTHING that happens in headspace is metaphorical.
