just because your abuser has “changed” and everything is “in the past” does not mean you need to forgive them. i’m sick of abusers and the people around them expecting forgiveness when it isn’t deserved. this especially applies when the abuser has done nothing to acknowledge or rectify their actions.
the axe forgets; the tree remembers. perhaps they have moved on and forgotten about it, but their victim will carry the scars for the rest of their life. you’re allowed to feel angry, upset, betrayed or any other emotion towards them.
so, if anyone ever tries to make you feel guilty for not forgiving your abuser, remember that you don’t owe them your forgiveness. you’re allowed to feel however you want about them.

really funny when we get a thought in our head that is incredibly opposite to what we're actually thinking and then we're just like "hey, wait a second, who thought that? Who Thunked"

system culture is getting recommended a bunch of emo songs bc someone else has been listening to mayday parade and mcr for HOURS every day for the past week and all you wanna do is listen to chappell roan
alternatively. system culture is getting recommended a bunch of pop bc SOMEONE, not pointing fingers, keeps listening to chappell roan.

plural culture is disliking the terms “host” and “my alters” and all that because it makes you feel like you’re claiming to be more important than the others

saw someone on my feed make a big rant about how they achieved final fusion and how the community demonized it, and as a system who may end up achieving final fusion I resonated with them...
and then they said they're endogenic. and this is literally what we mean by endogenics invading DID spaces - final fusion is a path of recovery from trauma whilst having a CDD. you can't be endogenic and achieve final fusion because IT'S NOT YOUR WORD TO USE!!!! it's a contradiction you're literally saying "I recovered from my trauma, trauma that I don't have"
and this fucking harms people with CDDs!!!! because you're blurring the line between CDD and non CDD, acting like they are in the same category when in actual fact they are worlds apart. I'm glad you are a good place in life but for gods sake use a different term and not a term that already has a meaning.
(they also referred to traumagenic systems in general as "sysmeds" which really left a bad taste in my mouth)

dear systems who say they have OSDD-1b but have amnesia,
I urge you to read the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for DID. if you are experiencing amnesia of any kind, you most likely have DID, not OSDD-1b.
this is a quote directly from the DSM-V criteria:
“Recurrent gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information, and/or traumatic events that are inconsistent with ordinary forgetting.”
it does not say that you need blackout switching amnesia, or even any kind of switching amnesia at all. do you frequently find yourself unable to clearly remember everyday events? that’s amnesia.
and guess what? amnesia from childhood does count as dissociative amnesia! here’s another quote directly from the DSM-V:
“The dissociative amnesia of individuals with dissociative identity disorder manifests in three primary ways: as 1) gaps in remote memory of personal life events (e.g., periods of childhood or adolescence; some important life events, such as the death of a grandparent, getting married, giving birth) …”
this means that, yes, amnesia from your childhood (that is inconsistent with ordinary forgetting) is dissociative amnesia.
still think that your amnesia isn’t bad enough? check out this quote which is - you guessed it - also from the DSM-V:
“Individuals with dissociative identity disorder vary in their awareness and attitude toward their amnesias. It is common for these individuals to minimize their amnestic symptoms.”
it’s all too common for people to minimize their symptoms, and amnesia is yet another symptom that is commonly minimized.
lastly, I’d like to show you the DSM-V’s definition of OSDD-1:
“Chronic and recurrent syndromes of mixed dissociative symptoms: This category includes identity disturbance associated with less-than-marked discontinuities in sense of self and agency, or alterations of identity or episodes of possession in an individual who reports no dissociative amnesia.”
I have italicized the part that refers to OSDD-1b. you’ll note that it doesn’t say “an individual who reports a little bit of dissociative amnesia”. it says “an individual who reports no dissociative amnesia.”
therefore, if you are experiencing dissociative amnesia, you more than likely have DID. it’s okay if your amnesia isn’t “severe” or if you don’t have blackout amnesia - that doesn’t mean you don’t have DID.
sincerely,
a DID system that used to think he was a OSDD-1b system but then realized that, oh shit, not remembering anything before you’re 10 is actually not normal, and neither is having your memories of recent events being super blurry and difficult if not impossible to recall. whoops.
⚠ this post was created by an anti-endo system. endos can reblog, but do not clown. this post is about DID and OSDD-1b, not non-disordered systems. ⚠

Dni endos and supporters, yet you reblog something (pro)endo zone?
Don't know if you meant to, but it DID have a banner, so...
go back and reread it, it says (pro) endo free zone! that blog is anti endo. i agree that their banner is a little hard to read lol

Being a system is being a WALKING CONTRADICTION!!!!!
I will scream from the rooftops that having introjects IS OKAY! and NORMAL! and it DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAKING! i will scream and scream on how freeing it is to be cringe and how you should NEVER judge your system OR talk down to yourself about things YOU CAN'T CONTROL!
and then i will have a new introject split and go down a personal spiral that im absolutely faking did and how can i possibly have some anime girl in my system and im faking and im a horrible person

The best thing we can do as "traumagenic" systems (quotation marks because I hate origin terms altogether—they shouldn't even exist), is block and ignore endos. We all know that endos are close-minded and unwilling to properly educate themselves, because they already identify as "endogenic—" which simply isn't possible to be. Ten minutes of research on actually reliable sources is all it takes to disprove their validity.
While yes, spewing educational facts at endos might feel relieving, it isn't going to do anything. They're not worth putting in the time and effort for—because if they won't educate themselves with reliable and scientifically proven information, what makes you think they're going to listen to some random stranger on the internet? Interacting with endos first, no matter how you approach it, is not going to actually benefit anyone. They aren't going to learn, and we aren't doing ourselves any favors by "attacking" endogenic spaces in the way some of us still happen to be doing.
"But they're invading actual system spaces!"
Then push them out. Blocking them in the masses, and additionally blocking endo/pro-endo tags from your feed, is the best way to shove them away from actual system spaces. How are pro-endos going to interact with genuine, disordered system spaces if they can't see our content, and we can't see theirs?
"But they're spreading harmful misinformation!"
Yes they are. They're spreading misinformation that's harmful—mainly to impressionable minds. That being said, it still isn't our responsibility to attempt to educate random endos and endo supporters, because again: if they refuse to do any genuine research of their own, why would they listen to some random person on the internet?
Arguing doesn't work. It hasn't worked. And yes, those with impressionable minds can easily pick up the belief that endos are real—but it's quite genuinely their own fault for not putting those ten—even just two minutes of time into actual research for the truth. We cannot force facts onto people who refuse to take them.
With all of this aside, the existence of endogenics is almost entirely a problem exclusively known by other systems. Before you were aware you were a system, did you even know endos were a thing? Or better yet—before even interacting with system spaces, were you aware of endos?
Endos may be spreading misinformation, but it really doesn't branch out much further than the system community.
Block pro-endo accounts, and block pro-endo tags. If you interact with endos first and attempt to prove their beliefs to be incorrect, it's just going to create more malice in the end—and if you block their accounts, they can't interact with you.

Hello!! I'm a fictive of Gem and just wanted to say that I'm excited to see Grian listed, as we don't know any other MCYT (as in non DSMP) fictives! We also have Lizzie (Empires s1), and maybe Grian! (I hope yours isn't negative about source twins, I apologise if so!!)
hi!! that’s awesome! we don’t encounter a whole ton of life smp/hermitcraft etc fictives either. our grian loves sourcemates and he fronts relatively often so i’m sure he’d be down to chat if you ever wanted to dm !! but regardless it’s awesome to see other mcyt fictives :)
