only murders in the building s3e8 spoilers under the cut (theories and thoughts)
i’m finally properly up to date
DAMN i’d seen the theory that loretta was dickie’s mother on this app, whoever that was, they were reallly ahead of the curve!
meryl streep is just such an incredible actor. nails the role every time.
okay so they said it was dickie, and he seemed to admit to it, which means it can’t be dickie. or, like, he can’t be the only one involved in the killing, at the very least.
right, so there is now a confirmed poisoning according to the detective (remember, before, the poisoning was technically just mabel’s speculation) which is good to know. i definitely think that ben was talking to cookies, and the cookies contained the poison.
what was getting shredded?? personally i think there’s a good chance that it was maxine’s review, but i’ll make a separate post about that. regardless, it’s definitely an important detail since they didn’t give us the answer this episode. what documents would be important? maybe the autopsy report - considered one was definitely faked or missing?
loretta just always has tape on her. normal
i know loretta points towards poison as a woman’s method, but they’ve all but outright said it’s a male murderer this time around (when they said how it was so strange and unlikely to have women as murderers both times so far).
i wonder if the pickwick triplets patter song is gonna give us some clue in hindsight… i’m trying to figure out if there could be a meaning in it. "should i look outside this nursery? what if none of the pickwick triplets did it?" makes me think that it’s perhaps no one in the cast of the musical… "who’d have had a menacing motive and hid it?" makes we think that the motive will be unexpected… ie it’s not just that someone thought ben was a dickhead or whatever.
lol i thought charles and oliver’s weird interruptions were to plant a much easier bug like their phone recorder i guess they did it in a weird complex old guy way
i feel like maxine has something she’s not telling us… not necessarily that she’s the murderer, but i just think she’s been introduced for a bigger reason. i mean, she was writing a pan. ben might have read her words and attacked her at the elevator, she pushed him away and he fell.
cliff and his mother do seem dodgy as i’ve said before… his mother basically says she’d do anything for her son, the son has pretty high stakes with this play, surely there’s some kinda insurance if a tragedy strikes or whatever… what would they do if they knew it was gonna flop? for example… if they’d read maxine’s review?

I do not condone harassment based on fictional media.
My MCU OTP is Valki (Valkyrie/Loki). I am neutral/indifferent to pretty much other ship. I am bound to defend those ships if I see too much wank because I am a huge contrarian. I think the only Loki-related ship I dislike is Frostiron because I can't stand Tony Stark. I try and don't want to be moralistic about it though.
I hate purity culture, right-wingers, and "radfem" and TERF rhetoric. Thought crimes are not a thing. And there's nothing liberating about bio-essentialism.

The Garfield Movie review
It, uh...I guess it is. It since didn't really leave that big of a impact on me. I mean, the animation's good. But that's more expected than a novelty. 'Course, I am definitely not this movie's target audience. And that's fine, but if you're gonna have a list of big name stars to "draw in the adult crowd", you could at least make the movie a little more engaging to people over the age of 12.
If I had any complaints it would be...
1: I'm sorry, but Chris Pratt does not work as Garfield. He's too excitable and cheery to pull off dry, cynical, and sarcastic. It makes Garfield sound less like Garfield and more like...just some guy with minor attitude issues.
2: I appreciate wanting to do an original story instead of adapting pre-existing material, but this "heist" isn't all that exciting. It isn't even that much of a heist. It's just our main characters breaking into a place and shenanigans ensue. And I'm okay with that but could it make it a little more fun? But it goes by so quickly that the movie doesn't really have time to do anything fun with it. Most of the movie is planning the heist, which, again, is fine, but make it fun! Or at least put all the character development stuff DURING the heist instead of before it. Speaking of which, do we really need to know Garfield has daddy issues? Like, why Garfield even give a shit about his father at all? If anything, they should've focused on Garfield's relationship with Jon.
3: Some of the jokes gone on for way too long. Like, you don't need to drag a debate between our main characters for five minutes. Cut it down. It just feels like their padding for runtime.
4: I hate the overabundance of product placement in kids movies these days. Isn't is a little scummy to sell Olive Garden and dating apps to eight-year-olds?
But I can't really be that mad about it. It works as adequate kids entertainment. I may have been bored at some parts, but it didn't infuriate me. And hey, my little brothers liked it, so I guess that's all that matters.

On my computer I maintain a list of restaurants I want to visit. When I see a good review in the paper or on social media, the place goes on the list.
New ones get added faster than I cross off those already on the list. I’ve got my work cut out for me.
This afternoon Sheila and I decided to go over to St. Paul so I could cross one off the list. Then her work texted. And called. And sent email. And had a homing pigeon deliver a handwritten plea. They really needed someone to work. She grabbed the shift.
I was firmly in the mindset to go out for dinner. So I went alone. Instead of St. Paul I chose a self-pour taproom in the Minneapolis north loop. The place has beer, wine, and even some cocktails on tap. Customers put a credit card on file and receive a wristband which activates the taps and record how many ounces are poured.
When I got downtown the bars and restaurants weren’t busy yet. It was easy to find a parking spot. As I tried to use the parking app I got a message that shocked me!
I didn’t realize this parking zone only charged during Twins games. What amazed me is that the city and the parking app people weren’t thinking, “Hey, if a driver is dumb enough to try to pay us during free times, who the hell are we to tell him otherwise?
The tap room serves “burnt chicken.” It was crispy, not singed. My sandwich was enormous. It was also tasty, but mostly made with dark meat when I was expecting white. Wisely, I did not order a side of truffle fries.
Now that I’m home, I really wish I had some truffle fries in front of me :(
The place wasn’t busy. The hostess was a competent and adorable young woman. She asked what I liked in beers then helped me find one that I really enjoyed. If I owned a business I’d want this woman running sales and service.
After I was done I met some friends at the brewery by my house. We hung out long enough for one beer. Fridays are this couple’s beer then take ‘n’ bake pizza night, a tradition I firmly admire. After just one draft I headed home as they placed a pizza order.
Now that I’m home, I really wish I had a take ‘n’ bake pizza in front of me :(
Tonight I’ll read more of my new books and pet some dogs. They knew I was at the brewery and didn’t take any of them.
Sheila’s shift ends at 4:00 AM. If I go to sleep soon it won’t be bad when she gets home and Ella barks. And Oliver barks. And Sulley barks.

Deck Review - The Tarot by Oliver Hilbert
June 6, 2022
by eli
Deck
This is The Tarot by Oliver Hibert. I got this deck as a gift from Avery <3. He ordered it in my name because I had something else coming so it was a nice surprise! This is by far my most expensive deck and one of my favourite to show off. I also just found out they have an Oracle Board as well, so you already know, as well as this sick ass Colouring Book. The artwork is beautiful, and I highly suggest checking out Oliver’s other stuff if you like classic psychedelic eyeballs.
Booklet
Ok so this deck doesn’t actually come with a guide, but there is a little booklet explaining his background a bit. Basically he says that he doesn’t believe in making a guide because it’s up to the reader to interpret. It is organized like a traditional Raider-Waite but with one extra Magic card as a wild card. You can tell in the cards how much work was put into this. Classic ink and paper art tends to get looked over a lot but the lines on this deck are incredibly crisp. Despite being marker there are like no bleedover spots and the colours are fun and vibrant. It is a sin and a crime that I don’t have a blacklight to take pictures with yet but as soon as it happens it’s gonna look sick af. I love all the tiddies, ooze, and green pubes.
Spirit
I showed this deck to my husband because I was like 'lol this is Sai' so it was very obvious who was in this deck. Sai is less 'drunk girl hyping you up in the bathroom' and more 'overlooked prophet tweaking outside of the gas station proclaiming 'I am the beast I worship'. Like, I was just there to get a drink but, you know, he ain't wrong. Offerings are very easy with him, he'll take whatever you got if you offer. He first came to me as a child when I was a huge weeb. He's seen me at my worst and my best and knows that bitching and crying doesn't change shit. He is the embodiment of 'I am cringe, but I am free'. Once I met him again as an adult in a trance he told me he was taking me to hell and then we went to 711 lmao.
Reading Style
Because there isn't a guidebook for this deck I usually go off of intuition with a quick glance at my Tarot app. His tone is often a little harsh but it's the truth. This isn't the bestie who's gonna let you go back to your ex this is the bestie who hexed him for cheating on you. He's there to support you in whatever bad habit you want to give into but you're going to pay your dues when they come. You COULD go apeshit, drink, smoke, hook up or whatever, but don't get mad when shit goes wrong. If you tried your best and shit still went wrong, he'll help turn it into a shitshow. and i wouldn't marry me either. a pathalogical people-pleaser, who only wanted you to see her.
remember lookin' at this room, we loved it 'cause of the light now, i just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time
do you remember when i pored over the exact right shade of green (seafoam green will never be fern green no matter how hard it tries, and emerald green would've sent our anxiety spiking the second we entered the room but you still let me have my three hour uninterrupted monologue about why maybe olive green or pickle green would be the way to go when you knew, i knew, we both knew that sage green was what we wanted from the beginning) for hours? you were busy polishing the floors. you wanted the light beaming in from the window to reflect all over the space, to open it up as much as it could, to make it look as fresh and new as it could be by the time that nori set foot in the space.
you spent weeks building a bookshelf into a wall. i was so serious about reading more. i made us both get goodreads accounts. i fell off after writing approximately one review about daisy jones and the six. you were still updating yours when i deleted the app from my phone a month ago. i wonder if you finished siddhartha, after all.
your weeks of blood, sweat and tears have driven up the property value because you knew hardwood was the way to go.
i wish i could reach out and say thank you. i also don't really plan to.
how long could we be a sad song 'til we were too far gone to bring back to life?
i remember when the girls played solo for me for the first time. i think i excused myself to go to the bathroom afterwards, blamed it on hayfever. i'm the organisational hand behind the creative wizardry heart and soul of the most talented people i know, and my bassline (or even better, baseline) serves as the rhythmic and harmonic foundation for them to work their magic. i'm as steady as the bass is. my bass will keep the rhythm going, me and lis will keep everyone's feet tapping. i sometimes don't even understand what the lyrical creatives have to say.
but when i heard the words "i know i'm verging on a masochist / and this feeling's getting kind of scary" and "so long, long gone are the days when we were / one and the same / at least i can admit it / you're apathetic / let it go, can't let it go" fall from cristal's mouth and felt more than a little read by my friends' separate experiences that had nothing to do with me, and remembered in that moment the power of music to not just heal but to expose your most nauseating wounds, i realised maybe it wasn't quite right for me to find our big, beautiful porch a promise of forever on our swings when we're 80 years old but instead a moat that's keeping me from feeling anything real. i think i busted my knees crying on the bathroom floor.
i hadn't felt anything real for a year or two other than the sinking feeling at the bottom of my stomach by the time i let you know.
do something babe, say something lose something, babe, risk something choose something, babe, i got nothin' to believe, unless you're choosin' me
to put it plainly, you didn't choose me in the way i wanted you to choose me and i didn't choose you. i'm an aries. a fire sign at its most obvious. i long for anger, ardor, devotion, fervour, fire. i desire to devour and to be devoured.
i bite my tongue so hard i taste blood now and it's fine. it's just fine. my fingers are sticky with the salt from the margarita i shared with someone else last night. my tongue savoured and is starting to crave the taste of someone else's spit. i always found comfort in the blanket of safety and security you provided me with, and all i feel now is relief in complete and total freedom. i would never call you a hindrance, but my love, i hadn't realised how much i was blocking out the sun's rays by staying somewhere that didn't serve either one of us. i was entrapping you as much as i was entrapping myself in something that was no longer working.
i can't find a pulse my heart won't start anymore for you
guilt is felt primarily in the heart but when i felt my heart stirring and waking up a couple of days ago after a year or two of vast empty nothing, i can tell you there wasn't a single ounce of shame in my body. i can tell you the heat i felt, in my heart, in my stomach, between my thighs... it had nothing to do with anyone but her. maybe the guilt crept up when i let her name fall from my lips to my best friend. you're the only person they've heard about in years, but... i think maybe you'd be glad to know that they're happy i remembered kissing people is fun sometimes.
i forgot that kissing people is fun sometimes.
stop, you're losing me.

I've worked admin side with state healthcare services in one way or another for a decade now, from patients who were frustrated by their providers and the care and systems, to helping providers' offices navigate the bureaucracy. And oh boy...
One patient still haunts me several years later; a married Black woman who only ever used state services when pregnant as supplemental to her family's regular insurance; very common! Pregnancy in the US is expensive! Her 3rd pregnancy had been very difficult, so as part of her post-partum care, had her tubes tied. Should be the end, right?
She was calling us when her 3rd child was hardly a year old because she was pregnant again. She couldn't get an abortion. She was in constant pain and on bedrest barely halfway through. She needed help finding new providers, as any trust in her current ones was entirely gone, and they weren't helping her. She was determined to get through it, for her existing kids, her husband, and maybe this 4th child as a bonus.
By the nature of things, I'll never know what happened to her. I hope she and her family made it.
On the provider side, I've combed over applications to join or stay in state services. Most provider apps come back with clean licenses and no other legal disclosures. There's some who give themselves anxiety because they of course can't find case numbers for a teenage shoplifting incident 40 years ago. Vast majority are clean records, both on the applications and the state and federal lists we check.
Then there are the ones that don't disclose their med board sanctions until we point out it's visibly on their license, even if it's 20 years old they need to mention it. They can jump through hoops to get it removed from the public view in some cases. In many cases, the board doesn't show their past records at all. And in addition to that, we ask about non-medical legal issues, like court-ordered child support, or arrests, etc. I've seen providers report their DUIs and other drug and alcohol problems (not unusual in medical fields), their domestic abuse charges and restraining orders, their assault and public disturbance charges. Popping up with various flags when we pull the state and federal lists. They almost all get enrolled, not even time-limited for review sooner than others.
Unless their board disclosures and trouble paying back their child support represent a possible fraud and waste of state's money. The rest? Eh. It's probably fine.
Again, this is a minority of the providers I saw. They stick out because these messy applications so rarely came across my desk. I rarely got to see the ones the state DID deny, unless the provider's office was appealing that decision. But many of the ones I described were already in our system, sending in renewals or return enrollments, or new locations/joined a new clinic/etc.
I remember one renewing provider with a laundry list, including domestic issues and restraining orders from a spouse and kids. The provider was a pediatrician.
Oliver's report made me angrily nod a lot. I kept wondering if I was recognizing a particular provider, or just a similar situation I've seen time and again even with my limited interactions from the admin side of state services.
I've had my personal share of frustrating providers (nothing as bad as Joy's experienced). But I'm wary because I know they're out there, and that most people will never realize how protected the bad ones are by the systems in place.
Whenever I talk about the medical neglect and ableism I've encountered as a victim of the healthcare system, there's always some cockwaffle who feels entitled to come into my inbox and make the argument of "not all doctors" while talking about how "people like them" (because it's always someone in a field of medicine who does this) are doing their best and it's really hard because so many people fake being ill to get on welfare (Yikes), but like, yeah, obviously #not all doctors, because if all doctors were negligent, bullying scum bags, I'd be dead.
But here's the thing: while I truly believe that the majority of doctors are doing their best in a system stacked against them and their patients, their presence does not negate the mass harm caused by the bad ones. And there are far more bad ones than you realize.
Fuck, John Oliver literally did a segment on this last week:
youtube
Yes, the truly bad, malicious doctors are in the minority. Most are just horrifically burned out and fighting a losing battle against a system, killing both them and their patients through a lack of funding and resources and profound overwork.
But the malicious ones do exist, and they will go out of their way to harm patients who don't kowtow to them.
I almost lost my life because when I was in my early twenties, I told a doctor I didn't think she was listening to me, and I disagreed with her assessment of my mental health (she was not a mental health doctor, and I was there for heart palpitations and chronic pain). She retaliated by putting "non-compliant" in my file.
There was also a fun little "doesn't show respect" note too that lives rent-free in my head because I know I wasn't rude. I was polite. I just didn't agree with her, and my refusal to accept her off-handed comment that "you probably have bipolar or BPD" (again, I was there for heart palpitations and chronic pain) meant I was "refusing care."
I wasn't. I just refused to be slapped with a mood/personality disorder when I was there because I kept fucking fainting when I stood up.
(Spoiler alert: it was dysautonomia)
That "non-compliant" marker followed me around for years. It followed me across an ocean and effectively ensured that any doctor I saw was going to treat me like absolute dogshit because no one wants to help Difficult Patients. It wasn't until I was so undeniably ill, literally on the brink of death, that anyone helped me.
I'm alive because of a good doctor. And all the good ones that came after him because of him.
So, I know they exist. You don't have to tell me that.
But I really fucking need you to acknowledge the bad ones and that you're part of a system with a long, long history of abusing minorities and vulnerable people. I need you to acknowledge that because it's the only way we're going to survive this godforsaken nightmare and make things better.
So yeah, #notalldoctors, but if you feel the need to say that because someone talking about being literally left to die by the medical system hurts your feelings, I'm going to have to ask you to take a step back and ask yourself if you're going into medicine for the right reasons.
Namely: do you want to help people, even the "difficult" ones?
Even the ones who might disagree with you?
Even if they're on welfare?
Even if they'll never get "better" in a way that means "cured"?
Just a thought. But hey, what do I know. I'm just someone who experienced hemolytic anemia because doctors kept telling me I was anxious and needed to exercise more 🤷♀️.

21st-Century Literary Genres! .☘︎ ݁˖
📜 Literature 101 with SamanthaWritesAboutLit . . .
As technology continues to evolve and transform the world in the 21st century, the ways how people connect also change — and art is not an exception.
Alongside the technologization of communication is the modernization of literature, incorporating it into existing trending media to keep it from dying. The 21st-century readers and writers looked for ways to keep the beauty of art and literature alive amidst technology taking over our lives.
21st-Century Literary Genres! .☘︎ ݁˖
Let me introduce you to some of the many 21st-century literary genres: Talk-Text Novel, Hyper Poetry, and Blog! 🌟
It may be tricky to distinguish which is which and identify them from one another as all use technology and the internet to be published. That is why we are here to discuss the similarities and differences between these three.
❔Let us all first question, what are these three?
💬 Talk-Text Novel
Talk-text novels are stories that are told almost completely in dialogue — simulating social network exchange, using informal language, abbreviations, emojis, timestamps, modern text slang, and sometimes even using the application interface or features. These are presented using visual presentations of the online communication app used. Readers are tasked to interpret the plot and the flow of the story by analyzing the communication that takes place between the characters in the novel.
Some popular text-talk novels are:
“This Moose Belongs to Me” by Oliver Jeffers
“A Chair for My Mother” by Vera B. Williams
“Flight School” by Lita Judge
💌 And to locals who wish to read these genres in our local language, Vince and Kath by Jenny Ruth Almocera is a popular Filipino Talk-text novel that was later on had a movie adaptation. It is an online romantic series that is written entirely in chat conversations or SMS screenshots.
📲 Hyper Poetry
Hyper poetry, also known as “cyber poems” are poetries found online available on a webpage that makes use of hyperlinks. It includes media such as videos, images, websites, or other poems using hyperlinks. The poetry will have links along the way that when clicked will lead the readers to another media. It creates a non-linear reading experience for readers. This incorporated media heightens the meaning or the message being delivered to the readers. It connects creative works on the internet to create another artwork.
Some of the Hyper poetry found on the internet are:
“Firefly” by Jennifer Ley
“The Last Day of Betty Nkomo” by Scott Rettberg
“88 Constellations for Wittfenstein” by David Clark
Examples of Hyper poetry are easy to find on online writing platforms as many writers of today’s society have easy internet access.
🖥️Blog
A blog is an informational web page where writers or individuals can informally or casually share their experiences, ideas, or reviews in the form of writing online. These online writers explore a variety of topics to write about, ranging from lifestyle, different destinations around the world or traveling, food reviews, guidebooks to housekeeping, entertainment, and even literature reviews.
Some popular blogs in the Philippines are:
Panlasang Pinoy: A Filipino cooking blog
YugaTech: A Technlogy blog by Abe Olandres
When In Manila: An entertainment blog about lifestyle and travel
While most popular blogs create their own website to post their content, some apps are already made with well-structured features fit to cater the creative minds of writers. Some of these popular applications are Medium, WordPress, and Tumblr (the one I am using).
🔭 Similarities and Differences ~
Hyper poetry & Blog: can only be read online as it takes advantage of the features of online technology, unlike the text-talk novels that can be printed to a physical book as it only mimics the features of online technology.
Talk-text novels & Hyper poetry: give readers a unique and dynamic reading experience as they make use of the trending features and other existing media on the internet to portray their stories. They are the fusion of classic art of literature combined with the fresh and trendy media of today’s internet.
Talk-text novel & Blog: very engaging to the readers as the language used is casual and informal like the ones used in our everyday lives. This easily captures the reader’s attention and engagement as it is easier to relate to and does not require deep dissection.
── .✦ 🖇️
And that is all for our modern and buzzing 21st-century literary genres!
Although different, these literary genres collectively save the survival of literature and make sure that it still prospers alongside the ever-evolving technology of the 21st century.
Watch out for more of the refreshing literature discussions!

Okay, okay, I'm still on my journey through random shit Andy Zaltzman has done on podcasts in various years, and here's a podcast that did a 12-minute interview with Andy Zaltzman, recorded at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Firstly, last week I was trying to find sources besides David O'Doherty that claim that Jimmy Carr was in the So You Think You're Funny 1999 finals even though he was left off the Wikipedia list, and here is yet another instance of Andy Zaltzman saying he was there, though somewhat amusingly, this time Andy forgot Russell Howard:
They then briefly discuss the Zaltzman and Oliver origins, which I've left in in case anyone who didn't want to read my 13,000-word biography of Andy Zaltzman does want a very quick summary of where he came from in comedy, in advance of him starting on Taskmaster this week.
But then, later in the 12-minute interview, they get into a more interesting topic. Recently on this blog, I have covered various mysteries from the early days of Andy Zaltzman's comedy career. Why did he and John Oliver both answer that 2004 BBC questionnaire by saying they want a head like an orange? Was Jimmy Carr definitely in that competition final with Andy from 1999? Who wrote the "grindingly mediocre" review of Andy Zaltzman's stand-up in 2000? All of those questions have been answered recently. But there is one question that I've wondered about for several years now: what the fuck happened at that one disastrous gig in York, in what Russell Howard called 2006 but I thought was probably 2005, based on other references to it? A few years ago I made a compilation of every reference I could find to this gig:
I thought I'd found all the references that were out there to that show, but then, in this clip from a 12-minute interview recorded from Edinburgh 2011 that Andy Zaltzman did with some guy I'd never heard of, buried deep in the search results of my podcast app:
Well that's the most detailed description of it I've heard so far. It's pretty much what I assumed, except that Andy Zaltzman says it was the first preview they did together, which I assume means it was for their first joint Edinburgh show, which would make it 2004. I'd assumed it was 2005 because Andy called it "about four years ago" in 2009. Russell Howard called it 2006, but he said that in 2017, so long enough after the fact that he could easily have been a year out in his memory. And 2006 makes a lot less sense because while they did write a joint show that year, John Oliver ran off to America before the festival started, and I think he knew by preview season that he was going to America, so I don't think they'd have done previews of their joint show that year, Andy had to re-write it to be a solo show. Though I guess if they hadn't written it yet and were just riffing, that could have been early enough if the season to have happened in 2006. But it wouldn't have been their first one.
So there's some more light shed on yet another mystery. The answers to the mysteries are always out there, no matter how long it takes to find them! Somewhere in the depths of the search results on my podcast app, I know there is a clip of David O'Doherty explaining those wild nights of Late 'n' Live where one time they actually took a pretend cow apart on stage, and here's the story of that...
Anyway, I could have cut that York audio clip shorter, but I had to leave in the bit just afterward when Andy Zaltzman brought in Paul Sinha, who had not been previously mentioned in that interview but apparently just happened to be hanging out nearby, to make fun of famous musicians and famous comedy clubs. So I've posted two audio clips from this interview, and there's an interesting bit in between those two audio clips where Andy discusses the "editorial independence" that The Bugle gets from The Times, which is interesting given this interview's timing of August 2011. A couple of weeks after the time when John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman were ripping apart their Times-based parent company on The Bugle over the News International scandal, and a couple of months before The Times fired them with suspicious timing. Interesting to hear his view of the editorial independence, from the eye of that storm.
I would post that clip, but honestly the whole interview is only 12 minutes long, so at that point I'd just be posting the entire interview. Everyone go listen to the whole interview, it's fun.

Rqtella 2: just for rats
uhh maybe content warning?? mature themes
i have been graduated for a little while now, and after getting in my can and taking myself out of this town where all the big shot steroid rats like Ashed Jarlsburg Christe and Muenster Camanomnom give me no chance to ever reveal who I am and how I am meant to be. since I started growing my hair out the soft spot on my head from my run in a few years back has been hidden and my locs have begun to grow at a rather impressive pace.
I realized after about a week of running away I was going to need to do something to be able to pay for my gas until I find a permanent place to live, however all the places on the beech don't seem to appreciate my leg to but ratio when I wear a bakini :/ so I finally saved up a bit of change from my panhandling outside the whey cafe and bought a phone, as I set it up I downloaded the first and most important app I would ever have. Just for rats, it seemed a bit desperate but as I looked around on the site I saw a lot of other young and hot rodents on the site who were seriously paying the big bucks to shoot a little mouse the big cheese.
after about an hour on the site just cheesing out at some of the crazy rat kings on the app, I worked up the courage to make my first post, I used my car review mirror and decided to just start small, a face picture with 4 of my 6 nipples on it. I knew this had to be good way to make money and posted it only being scared by what the future may hold for me? will I ever get into Big Motz corp. after this? if my friends ever found this I don't know what I would do.
i panhandled that night outside of whey like I did every night, until I had gotten enough to go inside and buy my favorite meal: a Velveeta martini with extra olives. As I drank I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I check it to see what it could be and there I find something out of my wildest dreams.
"You have hit 17 new followers!!!" I couldn't believe it, I scrolled through the names when one especially stuck out to me- elong muskrat.
to be continued.....

Come Play Review: when your imaginary friend is a nightmare
Come Play is a 2020 supernatural horror film directed by Jacob Chase, which explores themes of loneliness and the impact of technology on human connections through the lens of a chilling narrative. The film centers around Oliver, a solitary autistic boy who discovers a sinister creature named Larry through an app on his tablet. This encounter unleashes a series of terrifying events as Larry seeks companionship in a very dangerous manner.
Plot Overview
The story follows Oliver (Azhy Robertson), who struggles with communication and social interactions due to his autism. His parents, Sarah (Gillian Jacobs) and Marty (John Gallagher Jr.), are dealing with their own marital issues, adding to the family's tension. As Oliver becomes increasingly isolated, he stumbles upon the story of Larry, a monster that preys on loneliness and manifests through screens, threatening his family and ultimately seeking to take him away.
Themes and Direction
Jacob Chase's direction is notable for its emphasis on emotional depth intertwined with horror. The film effectively uses the motif of technology as both a bridge and a barrier in relationships, showcasing how screens can foster connection while simultaneously isolating individuals. The monster Larry serves as a metaphor for the loneliness that can accompany modern life, particularly for children who may struggle to find their place in a digital world.
Cinematic Elements
Visually, Come Play employs a mix of unsettling imagery and sound design to create an atmosphere of dread. Critics have praised its early scenes for being genuinely frightening, with some effective jump scares and a palpable sense of tension. However, as the film progresses, it has been noted that the reliance on technology as a plot device can feel gimmicky, leading to a less impactful conclusion[.
Reception
The film has received mixed reviews, holding a 56% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 58 on Metacritic, indicating average reception overall. While some viewers appreciated its fresh take on horror and the emotional resonance of its themes, others criticized its pacing and the execution of its premise, suggesting that it might have worked better as a short film rather than a feature-length narrative[.
Conclusion
In summary, Come Play is a thought-provoking horror film that tackles significant themes of isolation and the effects of technology on relationships. Despite its uneven pacing and reliance on familiar horror tropes, it offers a unique perspective on the genre, making it a noteworthy debut for Jacob Chase. The film's ability to evoke empathy for its characters, particularly Oliver, sets it apart from typical horror fare, even if it doesn't fully capitalize on its intriguing premise.
