Experimenting with how I wanna draw Clark and Bruce, decided it would be best to draw them side by side to make sure they don’t look too similar *cough cough* Dc *cough*, also been wanting to draw them in 1940’s suits so combined them into one.

Why does almost everyone in the Wunsoc suck so much

Every scene with Dearborn and Murgatroyd just had me going "Is this iffy? Idk this feels kinda iffy." not really my place to give a verdict on that

Every time I was going "holy fuck we're dealing with the black market omg this is a lot for like a 12 year old" Ezra Squall showed up and was like "Heyy Miss Crow~ You ready to question your own morality? You're gonna do so no matter what!"

On the topic of Ezra, I mentioned in the last post that I was very curious what would happen if Mog accepted Ezra's offer, I have a feeling I won't need to be curious for too long. With the way they are now, it doesn't really matter if Mog accepts the big offer because Ezra's already teaching her, if a bit slower than he'd probably like, unless there's some time limit Ezra has (which is fully possible) in the long run he is getting what he wants. It's a very interesting idea, though I doubt it'll stay this way for too long, which direction it'll go? Not sure

I don’t think I mentioned it in my last post but the reason it’s easier for me to read Jupiter and Mog as a father daughter relationship compared to other fictional characters is because Jupiter is actually old enough to be her dad, much better than 19 year olds being called fathers of 12 year olds (I am staring directly at a certain fandom here)

Times I actually squealed and slammed my face into the book: 10

I am actually in love with Ms. Cheery she’s so cute I love her (my book had a bit of chapter one of Hollowpox so I love her and her cute gf), I love women characters that are just allowed to be nice and also have a personality.

Cadence’s “it’s real!” Moment just gave me the vibes that while Mog was going through her thing, Cadence was just living a mystery novel and I love her for that

IMO the blackmail plotline didn’t really work for me, it didn’t ruin the book or anything just wasn’t the greatest

Lam’s a cool character, I do hope more of her personality gets shown in the next book

Mildmay mentioned time looping being a knack, and if you know me or you recognise my pfp, you'll know I really like time loops

The two scenes that have not left me since I read them both have to do with singing and I find that funny (it's Israfel singing as the Ghastly Market and everyone in it dies, actually killed me, and Ezra and Mog singing together)

With all that said, I shall see you all once I have finished Hollowpox!!

The Librarians and Gravity Falls are in the same universe. to me. i'm not confident in my knowledge of the timeline well enough to know who was the librarian in the 80s but i am certain Ford would have gotten a letter from the library as certain as i am that the sun will rise tomorrow i know it in my heart he would have been a fantastic librarian just like i know he would have absolutely scoffed at the idea of employment there and lost the letter immediately after putting it down

One whiff and he snarled at the cup.

Lets talk about the cup, briefly: White porcelain, not a scratch or scrape, not even any fingerprints. If this cup had been used and cleaned before, there was no tell. Intricate patterns adorned it, giving it a regal feeling; if you didn't know the pattern, the cup seemed to say, you shouldn't be drinking from me.

"Poison." He dully remarked. He turned his torso, near ready to dump the cup's contents. But a thought stopped him --

'That man will never leave me un-chided if he learns I've partook of some tea that has some essence of him. He will ask my notes and if I tell him I poured it out, he will gasp and swoon in his false way and remark on what a rough and unfeeling fox I am. To pour it out would be more trouble than I want.'

He turned back and ducked his head to bring his snout close. He would at least examine its smells; he knows a thing cannot be truly understood without partaking and however the flavors mix will be lost on him.

But this should be enough for that troublesome man. He closes his eyes and begins mumbling to himself.

"It is....ugh. overwhelmingly floral. Rose hips, white peony. With my eyes closed I could just as easily believe I was smelling a bouquet as this cup."

He sniffed more, his expression twisting here and there as he took in the many scents.

"Heh....I thought as much though. Not so shallow as just to be floral. Some chocolate, an indulgent flavor -- and poisonous to me atop the usual poisons within the cup. Lovely." Sarcasm.

"Mm...dandelion root. Still floral, technically, but far earthier. Interesting. Gunpowder green tea...with spearmint. Smoky, dilute the senses, minty, bright and sharp."

'There', he thought to himself, 'Happy?'. As though his analysis could already be heard by Cecil.

He poured the tea out and, for his own satisfaction, smashed the cup. Into a trash can, of course. He would not make unnecessary mess for himself.

Also it’s not just tv; it’s movies too I think. Live action American sci-fi/action movies to be specific. I can only think of a couple made since streaming got big that I felt like I actually knew who the characters were, and liked them, and felt like they actually cared about each other. Other genres have this problem too (comedy comes to mind), but none so extreme as in action and sci-fi. Feels like lately it’s all just rewrites of the same script but with different set dressing and they forget that you also have to have characters, not just a half a concept and a tired plot with cgi sprinkles.

I know the characters’ names and maybe a motive if I’m lucky and that’s it. Then one of em dies or is kidnapped or whatever and the other characters are so heartbroken and like… did they even know each other? Cause they met like a day ago and haven’t had a single conversation longer than a couple minutes, and they only talked about Plot Things.

There are some standouts obviously, The Equaliser series comes to mind, but it’s the exception, not the norm

I don't know what those '90s sci Fi TV writers were putting in their shows but I wish they'd start doing it again
