Thinking about pupaeeee here are my crude drawings to accompany

Because they are eusocial, pupae rely on adults to do stuff like protecting them and keeping their conditions favorable. Sometimes adults will talk to the pupae since their mature brains are developing and language acquisition starts before they even have mouths to speak with. When they’re ready to emerge the casing gets progressively softer as they produce large amounts of wax (to separate themselves from the shell) and fluid (to weaken the integrity of the shell).

If you were to cut a larva open you could probably find little underdeveloped hands and other body parts inside since (holometabolous) invertebrates start growing adult structures inside of their bodies while theyre still babies. I wrote something about it in a short comic thing but it probably didn’t make sense then

shinsou who you found out was an outcast because of his quirk, and instead of believing he would automatically make a good criminal like the others, you just thought his quirk was cool. becoming his only friend, and the only friend he said he “needed.”

you : “i think they're wrong. imagine you brainwashing the villains into doing good!” s : “you think so? that's what i’ve been trying to say.”

shinsou who you grew so close to during your years in middle-school. the boy who, under the false “criminal” facade people placed on him, was a super smart guy (and a normal person) who wanted to be a hero like everyone else. 

shinsou who didn’t really know how to speak to anyone but straight-forwardly because he had no other friends. who you would speak to freely about a million and one things. not once did you fear he’d ever take advantage of you — because you knew him, and he wasn’t like that.

s : “i like cats.” you : “oh, me too!”

shinsou who you confessed to and began to date in your second year of middle-school. who was surprised that you’d want to be with him, even though you knew how he really was. he didn’t want the bad rumors about him to get to you. and people said things, sure, but he never let anyone talk bad as long as he heard it. and the same went vice versa, you corrected those who still forced the facade on him.

“i heard they’re only dating because he brainwashed them” you : “i was the one who confessed???” “they’re weird for being with him.” s : “you dont know them, or me.”

shinsou who you unofficially broke up with in your last year of middle-school. the cause? a silly argument over quirks. you wanted to keep talking about it, and shinsou just couldn’t see eye to eye with you. you didn’t stop, so he made you leave. he needed space.

ex!shinsou who, almost immediately realized where he went wrong. he wanted to go after you, despite being the one that forced you to leave. but he didn't, because maybe he was just like everyone said.

ex!shinsou who received the worst backlash after you two broke up. not because you told everyone he was an asshole, but because people stopped seeing you two together. you were the only person he had, so he had nowhere else to be. it was easy to connect the dots.

“they should’ve listened to us.” “we told them he was a bad person.” “what an asshole.”

ex!shinsou who you never talked bad about, or even told anyone what really happened. who you never reached back out to because he put you out first. you didn’t resent him — at least not days after it happened, you were scared of being too much for him again.

ex!shinsou who missed you heavily, and wanted you back in his life, but was scared you now thought of him like the others.

ex!shinsou whos quietly hoping you come back. he never stopped loving you, despite the small sense of jealousy he felt because of how “good” you were doing without him. when in reality, you didn’t feel like yourself without him.

ex!shinsou who you “re-met” in high school, who just speaks his mind and doesn’t hold back. he couldn’t give a shit about what others think of him, except for you.

ex!shinsou who comes clean about everything he felt that day, and just about every day since you were gone. he promises he wont ever do that to you again, and that he hopes you don't see him as a bad person. when you tell him you don't, he almost cries.

you : “i never saw you in that way.” s : “even after that?” you : “never.”

ex!shinsou who you “resume” dating. shinsou, the boyfriend who tries his best for you, and never makes the same mistake again. the man who, even when it gets hard, still works hard to become a hero because you’ve always believed in him.

boyfriend!shinsou that turns into husband!shinsou as you two become pro heros. your husband, shinsou, who fulfilled his wish of becoming a pro hero. maybe not everyone sees his quirk in a good way, but you do. and its all that matters to him.

general hcs:

- Scott uses food to cope with stress, but he can't cook for shit.

- he was already colorblind before developing his powers, but was able to notice a change in vision quality after.

- speaking of, he's legally blind and does not have a driver's license, he'll try to backseat drive anyway.

- he takes everything SO literally, Jean has to explain to him when the students are making fun of him.

- the only non-evil wife guy ever (we don't talk about the comics. if I ignore them enough, they don't exist.)

romantic hcs:

- he's kinda shy at first, but once he's used to your relationship, he'll get comfortable fairly quickly.

- he LOVES having a partner who's stronger than he is (Jean Grey and Emma Frost I'm looking at you.)

- Scott likes to be romantic so he'll take you on the classic dinner-and-a-movie date at LEAST a couple times a month, more if he has the time.

- after a mission is when he's the most clingy and needy for attention, he wants to be the little spoon, and he'd prefer to give up all that responsibility he carries to a partner he loves and trusts.

- the definition of heart eyes around his S/O, the kids think it's funny and the other X-Men are a little shocked to see him openly adore someone like that.

general hcs:

- Kurt is the sweetest, very friendly and always open to make friends with mutants who are new to the school.

- he's always there for his friends, especially those with visible mutations like him. he may not be as insecure about his mutation anymore, but he'll always be willing to help somebody who is (Hank McCoy cough cough).

- he brings food and snacks from all over every time he comes back to the school, sharing with the kids and telling them stories about the X-Men.

- has definitely showed the kids his sword tricks and then had to give a lecture on why they can't play with sharp things.

- his favorite food that he's tried in America is anything savory, though he claims that anything sugary is too sweet for him.

romantic hcs:

- Kurt is boyfriend of the year with zero competition. he tries his best, and his best is more than anybody deserves.

- he's not a phenomenal cook, but he'll make food for his S/O and try to take care of them because he just loves them so much.

- never been one to start arguments or even to argue back, he'll try to wait until you've both had time to calm down and then try calmer communication again.

- he's very kind, but he can be mean if the situation calls for it. if someone's being rude to him? he doesn't care as much. if someone's being rude to his S/O? he's getting mean.

- after long missions, Kurt likes to cuddle in bed and get belly rubs like a cat. he's very open about physical affection, so he's not embarrassed to ask for attention, especially from the person he loves.

Some of my personal headcanons that I've been weaving into my ongoing OC story and my upcoming Elite Trine fic:

Trines can be chosen, and are not "picked for them"; one can encourage Seekers to trine by keeping them close together and making them work together, but it has to be a CHOICE from said Seekers involved in the possible trine for it to happen.

Having a trine is a bond that can vary. For some its sibling-like. For others they are close friends. For a few it's being lovers. Every trine could be different (but I feel as if the most common occurrence would be sibling-like relationships or friends).

Trines can be anywhere from two to (insert any number desired). This is my own dumb little brain whispering "Seeker trine cuddle pile" and running with it, and I know TRINE literally means... three... but I have a headcanon that, historically, Seekers bonded in groups of three, but as Cybertron advanced and lives got longer and construction continued, society just began to change, and Seeker trines are still called "trines" but now, in modern times, it's possible to see different numbers of Seekers in a trine, although the most common is still three. This is one of my headcanons I'm loose with but I still enjoy because it gives me a fun excuse to just play around.

Trines will typically bond with similar frame types (jets with jets, airliners with airliners, shuttles with shuttles...) but of course mixes can happen. Those mixes can be strange to other Cybertronians from the outside, but I like to think that different kinds of fliers suit each other well and almost "fill in gaps" that the other frame types didn't even know they had.

Linked to the previous bullet point, I like to consider the Aerialbots some kind of offshoot of Seekers, while not the exact same type of Cybertronian. Still not sure if I consider Aerialbots trine-able but I think I do in my stories. They don't feature much in my (work in progress) AU or fics unfortunately.

When trined, Seekers are basically able to read each other's processors - in a manner of speaking. It's not like "reading minds", but it's not like feeling EM fields, either. It's something deeper. Over distances insurmountable, after a vicious fight, they will still feel a pulse of emotion from their trinemates. They let each other in and they're a little less themselves and a little more the others.

I like to think that Trines are like a conscious choice made. A bond that Seekers commit to and can never erase. I love the idea of them basically rewriting each other's coding to let each other in, now permanently part of each other's processor, and maybe even some of their frames shift a little to resemble each other (I'm not so sure about my headcanon on that yet). They are PART of each other. They are ONE. Are they siblings? Friends? Lovers? Worse?? No, dear reader. They are not and they are. The most important thing is that a trine loves each other, no matter what kind.

Do all these headcanons make sense? Absolutely not. But I'm just having fun with alien robots.

thinking of writing all my stupid little headcanons about seeker trines. Yes they’re made up and yes they’re fandom exclusive but I love every headcanon I’ve ever seen people write about them. The Elite Trine being brothers? Sure. Stamped. The Elite Trine being lovers instead? Stamped twice. The Elite Trine only meeting each other after the war already started, in Megatron’s army? Stamped even more. Them growing up together. Another stamp in fresh ink.
