Okay, I just saw your Iceland headcanons post and I'm literally obsessed with this blog already.

So, I actually wanted to ask if you had any Iceland + Mr. Puffin dynamic headcanons because a lot of people forget Mr. Puffin exists, so I think it'll be interesting to see what you think their dynamic is like.

Yes! Mr. Puffin and Iceland’s dynamic is such a fun one and deserves more love. Before I talk about my headcanons, I’m gonna ramble a bit on how they are in canon just because I love yapping. We’ll get to the headcanons though I promise

Mr. Puffin was Icelands first companion and first friend. It was just the two of them before Norway found Iceland. We know Iceland as soon as he was “born” felt different from the others around him. He even wondered if he was the only island to exist. This is where he met Mr. Puffin and Iceland in his loneliness talked to the bird.

In modern day, I feel like this bond they formed early has remained and the two are very pretty close. I love the banter between the two of them and how Mr. Puffin is just so blunt to Iceland. Mr. Puffin isn’t afraid to just say it straight to Iceland. Iceland knows that what most of what Mr. Puffin says is true but is quick to deny what he says.

Overall, Iceland and Mr. Puffin are almost always seen together. I view them more as friends than pet-owner and pet. As he was Icelands only friend in his very lonely childhood and that developed into an unbreakable bond between the two of them. They argue a lot and their personalities clash but at the end of the day, I believe Mr. Puffin’s presence is one that Iceland relies on.

I’ll end this off with some headcanons:

- Mr. Puffin sees Iceland at his most relaxed. Iceland loses up on hiding his accent and can be his truest self around Mr. Puffin. I think this is one of the few things Mr. Puffin won’t tease Iceland about.

- Mr. Puffin didn’t like Denmark and tried to convince Iceland to run away from him multiple times throughout childhood. Modern day, I think the bird still holds some kind of vendetta against the very friendly Dane

- Since Mr. Puffin is usually on Iceland’s shoulder or his head, he had the tendency to poke people if they got too close and thus was banned from world meetings :(

Maybe his bond with Turkey is some sort of misplaced bond. He was young, sometimes children cling to people in scary situations even if it's that persons fault. And also Iceland was very lonely at the time, I can see why he might have some weird bond with Turkey, attaching to one of only nation he's in contact with. I still think he would be scared of him too, though

Ohh I really like this idea actually, especially during the time he was abducted and felt that the only person treating him well in the ottoman empire was turkey, it wouldn't be weird if he attached himself to him during this time.

Like a weird mix of "yeah you're very scary and unintentionally put me in a traumatizing situation" but also "youre the one that made sure I got home safely"

My first ever post about one of my favorite characters…ICELAND

I love this silly little guy and love yapping about him. Even my friends who know nothing about Hetalia know that I love Iceland. I figured he was the perfect first victim of my tumblr yappings.

I’ve always imagined Iceland as the kind of guy who doesn’t really understand modern trends (that’s basically canon but I feel sometimes people forget that) he’s very old man trapped in the body of a teenager coded. Though he can still be childish and playful at times, considering that’s his “hot” side coming out. I find it very interesting that Hima phrases Iceland’s personality as having a cold and a hot side. It makes him very interesting and it’s a cool way to bring his geography into his character. In my opinion, he seems to be more ashamed of that hot side even though I think it comes out more than he wants to admit

His history is one that also fascinates me to no end. I’m by no means claiming to be an expert as all his history is something I taught myself but he just seems to get the short end of the stick so often. I don’t mean to say he’s suffered the most in Hetalia but he’s definitely got trauma. I’d love to yap about that some more sometime but I wanna keep my first post short (girl this ain’t short but whatever makes ya happy)

One last thing before I go, I wanna make this last statement clear. I’m pretty chill with almost all Iceland ships, EXCEPT any that involve him and any other Nordic (especially Norway, I feel like I don’t have to explain why that makes me uncomfortable, it should be obvious) if this statement makes you upset then just don’t interact with my blog, I don’t wanna hear any complaints about me setting this boundary

Though I have plenty to say about this silly guy, I’ll keep it simple for my first post. I don’t wanna just spew it all out in one go. If you wanna hear more about anything specific or want to hear my silly opinions on anything, don’t be afraid to ask.
