It’s been a few years since you and Bucky met each other. Everything started like a normal day for both of you until you were on your way home from your favorite bookstore and a man followed you and then started attacking you. Luckily, Bucky was right around the corner and came to save you. You weren’t hurt too badly, but Bucky was so worried and made it his mission to make sure that you were okay. He took care of you and looked after you for the next few days. You enjoyed having Bucky around and he really enjoyed your company too. A few weeks passed when he finally got the courage to ask you out.

You went on many dates and had so much fun together. You loved each other so much that one day Bucky decided to ask you to marry him. The way he asked you was so beautiful and perfect. The place and the words Bucky chose were so special.

The wedding was so beautiful. Your friends and family came, even the Avengers came and were now good friends of yours.

A few months passed when you told Bucky that you were pregnant. He was so happy and you were both so happy to start a family together.

So, that’s where you and Bucky were now. Living in a house with your own family. Bucky, you and your daughter Luna.

You just came back from bringing your daughter to the kindergarten when Bucky came home from his mission. And wow he looked so different…suddenly he had short hair and no beard. You stood there in silence for a second, admiring him, and Bucky started to chuckle.

“Is my gorgeous wife shocked by my new look?” You blushed and walked closer to Bucky.

“A bit, yes, but it looks so good on you Buck.” You said, placing your hand on his cheek.

“Thank you, doll.” He said and then kissed you passionately. When you pulled away, you hugged each other tightly.

“I’m so happy to be home with you and I can’t wait to see Luna.” Bucky said with a smile while holding your hand.

“Oh, Luna is going to be so happy…every day she asked when you’re coming home and walked around with a picture of us.” You giggled and Bucky’s smile widened.

“But now you have to tell me when you decided to get this new look?” Bucky chuckled and then told you why he got the new look and that it had to do something with his mission, but he really liked it and so did you. The big question is what will your daughter say about Bucky’s new look?

After a lot of talking, cuddling and kissing with Bucky, it was time to pick up Luna. You and Bucky decided that you would pick her up and he waits at home to surprise her.

As you and Luna went out of the car and walked to the house, Bucky was waiting outside the house.

“Oh, look who is here, sweetheart.” You said, looking at Luna who just looked at Bucky without saying anything. You and Bucky started to chuckle because it looked like she didn’t recognize him. Bucky walked closer to Luna and knelt down when Luna suddenly shook her head and walked behind you, looking at Bucky sadly.

“Princess, it’s me, daddy.” Bucky said in a soft voice.

“NO” she said, looking up at you and started to sniffle.

“Oh, sweetie, it’s daddy.” You said again and she looked at Bucky confused.

“I have an idea.” Bucky said, taking off his jacket, so his daughter could see his metal arm better.

“Look, princess.” He reached for his daughter, who now began to smile.

“Daddy” Luna ran into Bucky’s arms, and he started laughing as his daughter held him tight.

“Missed you.” She mumbled, looking up at him and making grabby hands. Bucky smiled, picked her up and held her in his arms. Luna started giggling, and then touched where Bucky’s beard was before he shaved it and giggled. You and Bucky chuckled at your daughter’s cuteness.

“Daddy, different.” She mumbled.

“Yes sweetie, you’re right, daddy looks different, but he’s still the same.”

“The same.” Luna mumbled and hugged Bucky. You and Bucky smiled at each other and then he softly kissed Luna’s forehead. Then your and Bucky’s daughter looked up and laughed.

“Love you daddy, love you mommy.” She looked at Bucky and then to you before laying her head back on Bucky’s shoulder.

“We love you too, snugglebug.” You said, placed a kiss on her cheek and then on the cheek of your husband.

“I love you” You told Bucky.

“And I love you, doll.” Bucky said with a smile.

“How about we go inside and cuddle.” Bucky asked when he noticed how sleepy his little princess got.

“That’s a good idea, right honey?” You looked at her and softly stroke her hair with your hand.

“Cuddle” She said in a sleepy voice. You followed Bucky inside the house and into your bedroom. Bucky gently placed Luna in the middle of the bed and laid next to her and you on the other side, so she was in the middle. After you placed the blanket over you and Luna, she hugged Bucky tighter. You smiled and then gently hugged her from behind.

After a while Luna fell asleep and so did you. You and Bucky love your family so much. Bucky is so happy and still can’t believe that he is finally living a happy life, especially after everything he has been through. Finally, he has everything he ever dreamt of.

Some quick rundowns!

Chef's Kiss (2022) is the story of grumpy pastry chef Simone and her new sunshiney coworker Ray working at a gourmet magazine that's trying to pivot to video. They end up being forced to collaborate on a series while Ray comes out as nonbinary at at work. It's a slow burn with lots of hurt/comfort and craft beer. I have been told reading this has made people very hungry.

Chef's Choice (2023) is a sequel to Chef's Kiss but can stand alone. Luna, Simone's roommate, loses her job and is approached the same day by a French guy named JP who needs to hire a fake girlfriend. For inheritance reasons, they have to learn to cook a specific menu of haute cuisine to appease his culinary empire family. There is only one bed and lots of cheese plates. I THINK this is also the first (only?) T4T romance published by a big 5 house. (If anyone knows of any others, please tell me!)

Second Chances in New Port Stephen (2023) is about Eli, a trans man who returns to his hometown in South Florida for Christmas after many years away and the first time post-transition. He reconnects with his first boyfriend and childhood best friend, Nick, who is now a divorced single dad. This is a dual POV second chance romance about memory and trauma but I promise it's funny. It's also a tribute to elder millennials turning 40 and probably my most personal book so far. I have been informed that Nick's father, Mr. Wu, is the only perfect man and I tend to agree.

Triple Sec (2024) is about Mel, a bartender at a swanky NYC cocktail bar, who has an instant connection with a beautiful patron, but is crushed to find out Bebe is married. Luckily, polyamory exists and Bebe and Kade, her genderqueer wife, have an open marriage. Told in three parts, the story covers the budding romance between Mel and Bebe, the unexpected attraction between Mel and Kade, and finally all three of them getting together, with Mel's citywide cocktail competition happening in the background. It's fluffy, steamy, and has a fun little tie-in for fans of the Chef's books. This might also be the first poly romance published by a big 5? Contemporary, at least.

Chrollo as an IG influencer

His IG handle is probably something like @ThiefLightThiefKeepThiefBoss. He’s bad at picking usernames and at talking about himself, so he probably got both the bio and handle from Shalnark or something.

He’s not super big, but he’s got a decently sized following. In the 15K-30K range.

That one account with less than 20 posts over 12 years of activity

He constantly has periods when he’ll take off his profile picture and go private, archive all of his posts, then come back 3-4 months later acting like he’s going through a renaissance. But his aesthetics literally never change lol.

Half his pictures are in black and white.

The other half are some of the most dreamy and vivid pictures one might come across. Very detailed and colorful.

Pictures of woods, birds (magpies are his favorite), a cat pawing at a mouse, cobblestones streets, the entrances of all the small bookshops he visits, local jewelry and trinkets, a very blurry mirror selfie of him making a peace sign (can’t see his face at all), his shoes, webbed windows.

His first ever post is a childhood Polaroid with all the PT members. It’s the only post he hasn’t deleted nor archived. Since everyone’s facing away in the pic, people constantly hit him up in dms like ‘Which one are you?! 👀’ but he leaves him on read lol.

Thinking about it… he almost never replies to dms. Even the other spiders’.

His IG stories are 70% of the time book hauls, or out-of-context quotes and musings that makes people wonder sometimes if he hit his head.

His profile pictures were at some point: a cartoon jumping spider, his forehead tattoo, bandit’s secret, all black, all white, a bill, Luna from Sailor Moon, nothing.

People know he’s gonna purge his account when he suddenly decides to do a 13 questions Q&A (to which he mostly gives cryptic answers, besides 4 or 5 that are either so absurd or so genuine that they make him break character lol)

14th story on those days would be a selca taken with bad lighting and with an old phone or on his laptop’s camera. Somewhat those pics end up as face claims all over wattpad and twitter, or have 78677887 variations and edits on Pinterest.

He mostly follows fellow PT members accs, his favorite actors, bookstores, a couple of artists, crafting etc.

Chrollo is very supportive on social medias. He frequently reposts other spiders’s stuff on his stories with supportive messages and emotes. Like promoting Machi’s knitting business/brand by posting scarfs/sweaters/beanies he bought from her ‘Keep warm 😊🧣the cold might bite, but @MachiMochi gives you the thickest skin’

the thing is... JK Rowling did write the books. She certainly did write the books, which was the pivotal first step.

However, here is an incomplete list of people who meant more to my experience of reading and enjoying the Harry Potter books than JKR ever did:

My grandmother, who read them because she loved to read and because she wanted to understand what the hell her granddaughter - whom she'd recently moved 3,000 in part to live near - spent 90% of her time talking about; who passed away this past fall.

My other grandmother, who read them for more or less the same reason except without the cross-country move; who passed away in 2014. It was in her honor that I bought the current set of books I own.

The uncle-shaped family friend who always listened to me expound on my latest theories for the next book, and told me his own like an equal in intellectual debate

That one writer on Mugglenet's fanfiction archive who wrote a crack soap opera fic in which Professor McGonagall got pregnant from Crookshanks, and the children were cat-human hybrids whom they called "kiddens." That haunts me to this day.

Honestly, collectively every single person who wrote content, be it recordkeeping, fic, or analysis, for MuggleNet circa 2005-2008. Some people spent their internet-childhoods on Neopets or Club Penguin; I read every single page on MuggleNet.com.

The summer camp counselor who'd read HBP when I hadn't yet, and who responded to my positively tsundere attitude toward spoilers by telling me straight-faced that Harry started dating Luna [not Ginny]. A) The fucking audacity! she lied right to my annoying 10yo face! B) I got to experience the giddiness of finding out what happened twice, once then and again later when I read the book! Thank you, Natalie(?) from Y-Camp!

The two friends with whom I went to the DH midnight release party at my local secondhand bookstore, in closet cosplay. We were all in the first 5 people to get our books, and we promptly started reading them while standing outside the bookstore, in the light coming through the front window. 1 of them was parentally required to go to bed but the other and I stayed up all night reading, until we finished the books sometime mid-morning.

My dad, specifically when he (still) tells the story of having to make a "walk of shame" (his words) back to the bookstore the next afternoon, to ask if they had the broom we'd accidentally left behind.

The tourists from America, England, France and China who were all waiting in line at the Platform 9 3/4 overpriced photo op in King's Cross Station the same time I was, in the summer of 2013, which unironically made me feel more spiritually connected with humanity as a whole than possibly any other experience in my life. Like, this is embarrassing. It's a pure tourist trap. Yet people from LITERALLY all around the world had all made the same journey I had to be there, just because we all loved the same books. and that's...really special.

...you know? So, JKR is doing real harm to the trans community now, and will continue to do more and maybe even worse in the future; and I am so, so sympathetic and angry about that. I have no intention of giving her money or any other support ever again, nor of encouraging anyone else to do so.

But all her present vitriol is only drops in the lake of my warm memories. I don't let them give me a falsely rosy view of her, but nor will I let her poison them. And I encourage others to let themselves find the same balance, if they can.

while his namesakes are perhaps the biggest troublemakers hogwarts has come across, james is actually a model student who does well in all of his classes and makes sure to follow the rules

freddie and roxanne are also in his year and they’re some of his best friends, along with teddy in hufflepuff

quidditch chaser

plays quidditch all the time at home with ginny and sometimes harry

while he is popular at hogwarts both for his personality and his family, he has a lot of muggle-born/muggle friends outside of school who he just hangs out with

White Christmas - pandalily microfic - 297 words

Pandora pulled her beanie over her head, the final layer in the outfit that took her twenty minutes to put together. Her wife, Lily, always laughed at her ability to layer clothes to the point that even when the temperature was below freezing, she never needed to wear a coat.

Currently, Pandora had fleece-lined leggings, normal leggings, and skin-colored stockings on under a black skirt, as well as three layers of long-sleeves, two of them fleece-lined, under a blue Christmas sweater.

Pandora finally walked out of her and Lily's bedroom and out of their flat to where Lily and their three-year old daughter, Luna, were waiting for her to finish getting ready.

Luna was bundled up in a coat, hat, mittens, and snow boots, despite the fact that there was not even a bit of snow on the ground. Lily was not quite as covered as their daughter was, but she still had a coat and some gloves.

Her wife laughed at Pandora's outfit before smiling and gesturing for the three of them to begin their walk to the Santa meet-and-greet.

Pandora quickly found herself carrying Luna on her back, holding her up with one arm, while holding hands with Lily with her other hand. Luna giggled every time Pandora hoisted her up to keep the little girl from falling.

Christmas lights blinked on the front steps of the flats they walked by, and displays in store featured toys that Luna kept shouting "That's so cool!" at (after which Lily would sneakily write down what the toy was to remember it) and bookstores that the whole ground would pause to peer into before remembering where they were going.

Even if there wasn't snow on the ground, Pandora was still pretty happy with how her Christmas was going.

Luna, the oldest. We adopted her from the local used bookstore when she was a kitten. She is 15.

Pixel the mommy kitty! :) And please do excuse my messy desktop, lol.

Pixel showed up in our backyard one morning in 2014. We noticed her when we were about to go out. We went out, spent the day doing stuff, came home, and she was still there. So we brought her in to live with us. Turned out she was pregnant. With:

Quasar the pinky nose kitty, who is very extroverted and loves to be around others and she will touch your nose with her pink nose and push herself into your face.

Rigel, the biggest orange dude. This is a very recent picture of him in the spousal person's lap. He's been getting brushed during wet food/treats time and after 10 years he's decided maybe it's okay to sit in human laps on occasion.

Sirius, the other big orange dude. He is very silly and affectionate, and he will run around and chase his sisters and then sit in your lap and make the most adorable purr sounds.

Titania the fluffy calico. When they were kittens the spousal person said he wasn't sure if maybe Pixel wasn't washing her enough, but then it turned out no, she'd just gotten the recessive fluff gene and she had lots of long fur. She knows she is extremely cute because everyone who's ever seen her has immediately exclaimed about how cute she is.

Yes, okay, a house with this many cats will have boxes just lying around for cat use. ;)

Anyway, this is Ursa, the smallest. Although she was the first one to eat solid food when they were kittens so she was the biggest for a short amount of time. She likes to run around a lot and to jump and climb and to chase everyone else. She's also just recently started hanging out with the humans more.

Vega, who is stripy and friendly and sweet. She gets tired of Sirius running around and jumps in between me and the spousal person for protection from him. She comes to bed with us at night and gets her pets and attention and then she settles down near our legs to sleep. Luna is always down there with her, and Quasar also comes to sleep with us.

That's everyone right now. We had Midnight and Oreo, sisters we adopted from PetSmart when they were kittens in 2002, a couple of months after we got married. And Nova we got in 2005 from a litter of cats who showed up at my mother's house, and we took her home. They lived long happy lives, and we still love them and I still say we have 11 cats.

And if you noticed, yes, their names are in alphabetical order, L to V. :) Oreo and Midnight were already named that when we adopted them, and we kept it going. It took the spousal person a while to find the right names for the kittens to keep the alphabet going.

Some old OC refs I failed to post that. Well. Yes. I just failed to post them, really. But... I need to OC brainrot more on my blogs in ways that ARENT my twst OCs bc I do have other characters and I do love them very much. So... Info under the cut I guess? Pls ask me things about my sillies pls

Phen: A rather buff but kindhearted blaze gaian (a fantasy race I've been developing for a long while...) with a love for flight, physical fitness, and collecting odd trinkets. He lost his horn after he crash landed into a rock (and subsequently became concussed) but will tell you it was because of some epic fight to sound cool.

Gaerth and Avalan ("Ava"): a pair of earth gaian siblings (of opposing sub-elements) who grew up traveling the country and wound up settling in a city with a bunch of other humans.

Gaerth is a music artist known for their video game fan songs and some of his remixes. He's also a vtuber under the alias "Woods Wanderer" but most people just call xem "WW" or "Wanderer" for short. He works at a local music store and has an incredibly lax and easygoing demeanor.

Ava is a college undergrad studying art and dance. She might seem a bit persnickety or hot tempered, but usually that's because she's busy with something. When she's not working on her next artistic masterpieces, though, she works at her campus bookstore.

Luna and Europa: some of my oldest OCs tbh I love them so much (to my exactly one friend who remembers these two and the prev two from their Homestuck troll era, you know how it was for them). They've had a good many iterations and now they're merfolk. Because it's fun and I like mermaids so... Yeah?

Luna is an incredibly timid and gentle woman with a passion for... A lot of things, actually. She loves baking and crochet, but she also loves flower gardening, romance, and she wants to be a teacher for young children. She has generally poor luck in relationships, though, which definitely has affected her for the worse.

Europa is Luna's older sister by a good few years. Growing up, Luna did not see Europa for the longest time past a certain point, thanks to a rather unsavory relationship that Europa unsuspectingly got herself into. It fundamentally changed who she was as a person, and when she returned to the city where Luna (and most of my other OCs in general live), it took her quite some time to return to some semblance of normalcy. She is married again, though, to an OC of one of my IRLs, and her stepson is another one of my OCs who I might post at a later date, Damien.
