hp next gen hcs - the potter siblings

okay my brainrot is actually killing me so here’re some headcanons featuring the potter siblings

james sirius potter

while his namesakes are perhaps the biggest troublemakers hogwarts has come across, james is actually a model student who does well in all of his classes and makes sure to follow the rules

becomes a gryffindor prefect

freddie and roxanne are also in his year and they’re some of his best friends, along with teddy in hufflepuff

quidditch chaser

plays quidditch all the time at home with ginny and sometimes harry

while he is popular at hogwarts both for his personality and his family, he has a lot of muggle-born/muggle friends outside of school who he just hangs out with

oldest sibling activities; constantly watching albus and lily when their parents aren’t home and does the dishes/laundry when his parents are stressed

james makes fun of albus a lot, but he knows which jokes will make albus laugh or which ones will hit a soft spot and he’s very careful about that

when someone makes a joke about albus that’s more of an insult than a joke/something that albus doesn’t like, james makes it clear that nobody gets to do that, not even james

does well in all of his subjects, however, the hands-on topics (charms, d.a.d.a, etc.) are his best, including potions

gets along with literally everybody

the one the teachers should look out for; biggest troublemaker out of the three siblings, completely caught the teachers off-guard when she arrived; she is chaos incarnate

people call her lou or lils, she is rarely called lily or luna.

has her dad’s stubbornness, her mom’s attitude and chaotic energy, and her uncle’s mischievousness

quidditch is perhaps her favorite sport and will always beg to accompany ginny during her championships and the such; seeker

besties with ginny; idk why all the hcs say she’s besties wit harry

inherits parseltongue from harry (i don’t care if that came from voldy’s soul or not, this might be so funny) and shit talks people in parseltongue; nobody knows what she’s saying except james, who also inherited the trait

hates the mornings; her record for sleeping in is 3:07 PM

loves indie music

definitely has a rock/crystal collection

also an astrology/astronomy kinda girl, somewhat in honor of her middle name, luna (which is “moon” in spanish)

does yoga to calm herself down after a particularly hard day

very good at hands-on classes, including potions, d.a.d.a, transfiguration, and care of magical creatures

james and lily is an ultimate duo and everyone fears them

doesn't really mind that she's harry potter's daughter - none of that pressure to "live up to the expectations" gets to her all that much, because both of her namesakes aren't that spoken about

Danny and Cass are expecting a baby, but Danny is the one holding the child.

(Oddly enough, I hc this bc I think Danny is trans and I 100% believe that he’d be the one to incubate the child while his partner goes off being a hero.)

Cass entered their home, pausing at the door. The air was silent, but she relaxed as she heard the softest breaths of her husband. She closed the door, took off her shoes, and then quickly crossed the house to get to their room, where she opened the door and found her husband laying on his side, curling around himself.

She gently laid a hand on his stomach, where she could feel nothing but flat planes and muscle. Quieting her breathing, she focused and tried to sense deeper inside of him.

She wasn't as proficient as Jason or Damian, and she couldn't teach herself like Tim, but she knew how to sense for the souls inside of her husband, and she focused on them, trying to feel for their child.

And then—

She paused. She looked down and met eyes with Danny, who stared at her in silence. His eyes glowed green in the dark and she said softly, "Something's wrong."

Danny smiled and sat up, leaning against her. "No, there's nothing wrong. Try feeling them again."

Cass did so, and she said, "Thank you for doing this. I know it's hard."

"This is nothing," Danny said, kissing her on the temple. "I have no issues with incubating our baby while you have your hands full being Batman. Besides, Jazz and Jason have been helping me, and even Dan and Ellie are as well. I'm perfectly fine."

Cass nuzzled him, her heart warming. She had seen how being a hero could affect relationships with a partner, and she had worried about it when she had discussed having a child with Danny, but he had not been concerned at all. They had talked and communicated and Danny had no problem putting his hero life on a hold while he took care of their unborn child. She had also known that her family faced the same problems, but their spouses, Danny's siblings, had quickly eased their concerns and solved the problem.

She was so thankful that she and her family had been found and loved by such a wonderful group of people.

Cass paused again, as she felt the souls inside of Danny move. It was like a humming of a tiny song, but there seemed to be... two of them?

"Is that...?"

Danny smiled and kissed her again. "You're in luck," he purred. "Jazz says we're both getting twins."

James Sirius Potter Facts

• He loved quidditch. Like really loved it. Knew he was expected to be a seeker like his dad but being a chaser like his mum is way more fun.

• He thought he was only popular because of his family but people actually really liked him for who he was.

• Has a lot of muggle born friends because at least when he started school they had no idea who he was.

• ADHD.

• Struggles to open up to people, even the ones he’s closest to. Only started opening up more when he was diagnosed with cyclothemia.

• Even though Fred is his best friend he is probably closest to Teddy or Dom.

• He was kidnapped for 5 days when he was 9 by some remaining death eaters. He tells everyone he doesn’t remember anything but he does.

Okay so I might’ve mentioned that I’m writing a fic where the children of Percabeth, Solangelo, and Valgrace go on an epic quest to rescue their parents and the rest of the Seven from the clutches of evil and I’ve kinda been Hyperfixating on it for a while so here is the first character I would like to info-dump about.

Meet Finley Di Angelo-Solace!!!

He’s currently my favourite out of the Next-gen trio and definitely the one I have the most fun writing for. I genuinely love him sm.

Rant under the cut-

Fin is the son of Nico and Will, and was created using divine godly magic so is biologically both theirs (hey if Zeus can have a baby from his thigh this can happen)

His powers are a complex amalgamation of both of his parents: he can shadow-travel in sunlight, he can heal and talk to the dead and his main weapon is archery

He’s autistic

He has hypersensitive hearing (it could be an Apollo thing, it could be an Autism thing we don’t know. It’s probably both)

He prefers ranged combat partially because he is touch-averse and likes to keep his distance (also bc the other two characters both use melee weapons so I needed some variety)

I see your “Trans Will Solace” hc and I raise you- “Transmasc son of Solangelo who they love and support so so much”

He will INSIST on wearing a binder throughout the entire quest, rib cage be damned! (This will become a problem bc apparently you’re supposed to take breaks and you’re not supposed to do any physical exercise in them so running around chasing monsters is not gonna go well)

A big theme in the fic is gonna be “names have power- but the name you choose is so much more important than the name you were given”, a continuation of the theme from my Married Valgrace AU (which this is canon to) where Jason chooses to take Leo’s name instead of keeping the name of the mom that abandoned him. I feel like Finley would be a great character to symbolise this- someone who chose his own name.

His favourite colour is green/turquoise

Think of Nico’s scariest moment that you’ve read in canon or in a fic- where he is just a force of complete and utter darkness and death. Are you picturing it? Good. Now multiply that by ten. Now imagine someone tried to misgender his child.

The same can be applied to Will. No transphobe would dare mess with Solangelo’s boy.

He is childhood best friends with the two other main characters, Isabella and Olympia, and talks to them a lot but is kinda shy around everyone else.

He also has a major crush on Isabella- the daughter of Valgrace. I have so many cute hcs about those two y’all have no idea.

He is good with medicine and has a magic first-aid kit that acts a lot like Leo’s tool belt with replenishing supplies.

He loves Star Wars

While all the other characters’ POV chapters have regular PJO-style funny titles, all his chapter titles are TOA-esque haikus.
